Chapter 2

Anne had a hard time sleeping the night she realized she was in love with Marcy, her body felt like it was in a cold sweat each time she thought about her, what really wasn't helping was that they had been sharing a bed for over a month now, it made Anne so uncomfortable to the point of just sleeping on top of the blankets.

Hours later, Anne woke up with only about 4 hours of sleep, her brain just wouldn't stop thinking about Marcy's dumb smile from last night, as she got out of bed, she decided to make breakfast, letting Marcy sleep in as usual.

As Anne cooked, she didn't realize it but she was making food for Marcy as well subconsciously, a habit at this point really, even if Marcy had told her she didn't need to.

After an finished cooking a very simple breakfast, bacon, eggs, and toast, she was about to make a tray for Marcy as she'd been in bed for the past month, however, after last night, Marcy was finally feeling good enough to get out of bed at the very least, almost jump scaring Anne from behind as she spoke.

"Woah… that smells good… there's a lot too… could I have some?…" Marcy said in her soft voice, getting pretty close to Anne.

Anne jumped a bit, blushing profusely as she tried to look away from Marcy, choosing to look at the food she made to not look as weird.

"O-oh umm… y-yeah, of course!… I'll set the table…" Anne said, speed walking away to set up the dining table for eating, meanwhile Marcy grew concerned based on Anne's stuttering and tone of voice.

"Anne, are you ok?…" Marcy asked, placing a hand on Anne's shoulder, Anne reacting by shivering slightly before speaking.

"Y-yeah… I just uhh… didn't sleep well last night is all!" She said, being glad she had an actual excuse aside from her stupid feelings.

Marcy gave a concerned look, looking Anne straight in the eyes to see that they were a bit bloodshot. "Oh man… did I keep you up last night snoring?…" Marcy asked, as she knew she snored.

Anne did know that Marcy was a snorer but it didn't bother her at all, in fact it was the opposite, her snoring is what ended up helping Anne fall asleep last night at all because Marcy's snores weren't loud like usual snores, they were like soft loud breathing that just lulled Anne to sleep each night, thinking about it caused Anne to blush.

"N-no! I just had a lot on my mind…" Anne said in honesty as she finished setting the table, sitting down as Marcy sat next to her, Anne looking over to see Marcy still looking at her with concern.

"I'm fine Marcy… more than! I promise!" Anne said, lying just a bit as she had remembered Marcy's comment from last night about loving Anne as a sister, it still stung even though it shouldn't have whatsoever.

Marcy nodded, deciding to ask more about it later as she began to eat, her face going from concerned to extremely happy as she ate Anne's cooking.

"Oh my gosh Anne… I always forget how good of a cook you are… it's so good… thank you…" She said after a few bites, causing Anne to blush even more.

"Thanks… I don't know why but I tried to make it extra good today…" She admitted not only to Marcy but herself, knowing she was spicing everything up subconsciously when she was cooking.

Anne finished eating before Marcy, which gave her time to stare at Marcy as she ate, her brain zoning out everything else as she just stared, it felt as if time had slowed to a halt as she watched, her face going red the longer she stared until she was snapped out of it by Marcy looking over at her, causing Anne to look down at her plate extremely quickly.

Marcy felt bad for Anne to be honest to herself, she was doing so much for her yet Marcy felt as if she had no time to just have fun, she looked around the kitchen and took a peak out into the living room as it was connected by an open wall, before smiling happily as she spotted a game she hadn't played for a long while.

"Hey Anne, would you wanna play Twister?"

Anne's brain immediately was screaming 'NO, SAY NO, SAY NO OR YOU'LL EMBARRASS YOURSELF FOR LIFE!'

"Sure"
