Shimmer
The blood dripped slowly off the hand of the ebony haired boy. He hadn't been expecting this, although he knew the time would come eventually.
Slowly he looked at the corpse below him. The blonde's blood slowly pooled around him. Then he looked at the jutsu he had used. Another blonde stood over the body. But he poofed out of existence soon enough.
Slowly he returned his gaze to his hand, and then to the three other dead bodies in the room.
Kabuto looked like a twister hand been let go on his chest, Orochimaru was split in two. Sasuke grimaced, the blonde below him had ripped through his 'master' as though he were nothing. In a far corner was the new kid, Sai.
He smiled, Sai had befallen his ex-comrades wrath first, killed by a simple shuriken to the neck.
Then his gaze fell yet again to the blonde on the floor beside him. His fists clenched in anger. Orochimaru had told him what Naruto was. The kyuubi. And yet the blond hadn't used the power during their fight. Had Naruto thought that he wasn't worth of the Kyuubi's immense wrath.
He reminisced about the fight. How ironic, where the Yondaime, the one who had caused Naruto so much pain, had been a catalyst in his death
Forshadowing maybe? He shook his head, it couldn't be. After all, he now had what he needed.
Apparently he had been reminiscing for far to long, as a startled shriek emitted from the entrance to the room. His gazed glared coldly at the source. A slender pink haired girl looked at him in disbelief, and a brunette male held her shoulder firmly.
"S-sasuke..." the girl muttered unintelligibly. She smiled for a moment before her gaze turned downwards. Her eyes widened. Then her eyes followed a drop of blood to it's source. That , he realized, was his hand. He tore his attention away from the the pink haired girl to the man beside her. His stern eyes bore deep into Sasuke's. A cold resolution shone.
The black haired boy smirked. He wanted to fight the man, and the mans eyes demanded retribution. "Happy now Konoha, my last act for the village. I killed the Kyuubi..." he said as though he'd won something.
However, his smirk was instantly wiped off his face when he felt his jaw shatter, and was shot back into the wall behind him. He looked forward to see the pink haired girl crying over the late Uzumaki. "Why...why did you kill him Sasuke?" she wept.
"Because, he got in my way." He stated, as though it were obvious. "Besides, he gave me the power to defeat Itachi"
That was the last time the Konoichi know as Hanuro Sakura saw him, for he disappeared in a plume of smoke.
As she looked at the corpse of her fallen teammate, she saw his smile shimmer one last time.
