Hazing Chapter 26

After a few weeks of Wendy visiting her son, Nina was exhausted. It was mentally exhausting having her over every week. No matter how often she tried to tell Jax he was adamant in having her and Lily presence during the visitations. So, Nina grinned and bared it. She was glad Wendy did not come for her again and seemed to stay in her own lane though and that was a plus. As Jax healed Gemma was the one to pick up the boys to take to Tara's. After a few weeks Jax took over. Nina was glad she didn't have to see Tara as well as she did not think she had it in her to deal with two baby mommas constantly. Plus seeing Tara would be a trigger for her. Nina was sitting on the couch looking up homes online as Jax came home from dropping off the boys. "How did it go?" Nina asked looking at him as he took off his cut and shoes. "Fine. She seems to be in good spirits."

"Were you over there this whole time or did you stop by the club?" Nina did notice Jax was gone for hours, and he did not call.

"I stayed for lunch." Jax told her with a hint of guilt in his voice.

"You stayed for lunch? Why?"

"She made lunch and I did not want to be rude."

Nina felt a twinge of jealousy.

"Jax, you need to keep your distance. It should only be about the kids. You do not want to give her a false since of hope. I know she still loves you and I know you still love her."

Jax sat the boys on the couch, sat next to Nina and caressed her cheek to put her mine at ease. "You have nothing to worry about, you and the kids are my everything." Nina felt a little better as she snuggled up to him. "Did you find a home that you like yet?" Nina smiled to herself as she showed Jax the homes she marked as favorites on her phone. They were finally making the moves to move in with each other. Nina did decide to continue commuting to school as she did not have much longer before she graduated. It was still stressful, but she was insistent on graduating from her HBCU. She hated that she gave up her job at the boutique and was solely dependent on Jax, but it was a risk she was willing to take. Since Jax was healing well she might take his suggestion and find a part-time job in Charming. Nina loved her family with all her heart, and she needed to start making moves just as Jax did for them all to be under one roof. Also, they were getting married, and she needed to stop dragging her feet.

Jax liked the houses she had chosen and told her to set up appointments with the realtor. Jax was excited that Nina had finally come around and decided to marry him. He could never imagine that fateful night in the bar would lead to where he is now in his life. He could not be happier.

"We need to get rid of Nina." Wendy told Tara as she paced back and forth in Tara's apartment. "What do you mean get rid of her?" Tara asked suspiciously. "We need to remove her from Jax so you can get full custody and I can see Abel more. She is a nuisance, and I can't believe Jax is still with her." Wendy was so sick of looking at Nina every time she went to see her son. Nina's very presence irritated her. It annoyed her to know that Nina was basically still a child and was raising her and Tara's sons mostly.

"I think I can get him back." Tara revealed to Wendy. Wendy looked at Tara suspiciously. "How?"

Tara smiled. "I have my ways. Jax will always love me, and I will work on making sure he realizes it again."

Wendy waved her hand in dismissal to Tara's idea. "That will take to long and we need a faster solution."

"He stayed for lunch the other day and we talked like we use too."

"Lunch? Tara please….I can see if you fucked him. Then we would be getting somewhere."

"It's only a matter of time. One thing about Jax is he will never be monogamous."

"That's true." Wendy agreed. "You have 30 days and then we work on a plan B."

Tara nodded in agreement. "Consider it done."

Tara threw herself in making a nice dinner for Jax before he came to pick up the boys that evening. Operation win Jax back was in full motion. Tara made sure she looked and smell good. She made sure she was wearing tight booty shorts with a cute tank top to reel him in. She may not be as thick as her adversary, but she knew how to work her body and charm. Tara laid the boys down in her bedroom hoping they would take a quick nap before Jax showed. When Jax knocked on the door Tara checked herself in the mirror by her door quickly and opened the door on a mission.

"Hi!" she chirped when she saw the love of her life.

"How did the boys do?" Jax asked walking in her apartment giving her a look up and down as he could not help admiring what she had on.

"They did great as always. They are taking a little nap right now. I made dinner would you like some?"

Jax frown and thought about the warning Nina gave him. "It's a little late for a nap. They won't sleep through the night?"

Tara gave him a seductive smile. "Oh, they will be fine. Sit down and I will make you a plate."

Despite warning bells going off in his head Jax sat at Tara's kitchen table. He was a tad hungry. He could not help but look at Tara as she made him a plate. She looked really good. What was different about her? Jax smiled up at Tara as she sat the plate down in front of him. She sat across from him with her own plate and engaged in a conversation with Jax.

Guilt and shame immediately washed over Jax as he came into Tara's mouth. How did he end up here? How can he be so weak? Jax pulled himself from Tara's mouth and tucked himself back into his pants. Tara swallowed and stood up. "I miss you." She purred at him as she leaned over to kiss him. Jax immediately pulled away from her.

"That should not have happened." Jax was pissed at himself.

"But it did happen. You still have love for me Jax and you know it."

"I will always love you Tara, but I'm in love with Nina."

Tara frowned. "How could you? You were just in my mouth."

"It meant nothing. Just a moment of weakness. It won't happen again." Jax told her sternly. "Go get the boys."

Tara knew she had Jax where she wanted him and not to push him further, she went to get the boys. Jax gathered the boys and could not even look at Tara. How could he do this to Nina?

On the way home he pondered if he should come clean with Nina. He knew if he told her the relationship would shatter and Jax could not allow that. Even though he forgave Nina for almost sleeping with Juice, he knew Nina would not be as forgiving for what just happened with Tara. Maybe she would find it in her heart if it was some random woman, but it was Tara, and he knew how Nina felt about her. About the time Jax pulled up to his apartment he decided not to tell Nina. He knew it was a risk, but he will have to take it. Tara and Nina never saw each other or spoke to one another so the likelihood of Nina finding out was slim to none. Jax put on his best face when he entered his home. He found Nina in the kitchen making dinner. The guilt rushed over him again. How could he even look her in the eye? Nina rushed over to the boys to give them a quick kiss. She really missed them when they were over Tara's. She quickly planted a kiss on Jax's lips and felt his body stiffen.

"Everything alright?" She asked looking at him inquisitively.

"Everything is fine." Jax lied as he took off his cut. Nina looked at him harder and knew something was up.

"What did she do?"

"Who?"

"Tara."

"Nothing…..let me get the boys washed up for dinner." Jax quickly gathered the boys and escaped to their bedroom. Nina stood frozen for a second as she contemplated what could have happened at Tara's. Bad thoughts were creeping in her mind, and she shook her head to dispel them. Jax would not cheat on her, she tried to convince herself. Remember how you got him. Nina shook her head again and went back into the kitchen to finish dinner. She was just overreacting it all could be Tara giving him a hard time about the boys and he was just tired. Nina had successfully calmed any thoughts of Jax being with Tara until she saw him pick at his food. He barely ate anything.

"Jax, what is wrong?"

Jax shook his head. "Just a lot going on with the club is all." That was partially true, so he didn't feel to bad about lying to her again. Jax made a point to make eye contact with her to ease her mind.

"So, Tara is behaving herself?"

"Yep." Jax put a piece of chicken in his mouth hoping Nina would not inquire further. He sighed with relief when she changed the subject to her finals coming up.

Few weeks later.

Nina frowned to herself as she pulled into Teller-Morrow parking lot and saw it was full of bikes and cars. She barley found a parking space. What was going on? After grabbing Lily, she found her answer when she walked inside the bar. She saw men with Mayans cuts, Nero, and her brother Tyler with some of his crew. It seems to be an important meeting they were having. Nina searched the small crowd for Jax. As she searched, she did not see him off hand and her eyes landed on one of the Mayans who was staring at her intensely. Something about the way he was looking at her cause her to shift on her feet. He was admiring her, and she caught herself admiring him. She looked away when she saw movement out the corner of her eyes and saw Jax heading toward her. Nina felt guilt wash over her for admiring the handsome Mayan.

Angel took a drag of his cigarette as he watched the cute black woman look around the bar for someone. He noticed the kid she had on her hip and put together it was Jax's baby momma. He heard the rumors that Jax had a black baby momma, but he was still surprised when he saw her with his own eyes. She was hella fine and he instantly saw why Jax was with her. Angel could not tear his eyes away from her and for a few seconds their eyes locked before Jax realized she was in the bar and got up from his table.

"Hey….is everything alright?" Jax asked Nina as he ushered her out the door. Nina figured Jax would not want her in the bar and did not get upset as he walked her right back outside.

"Everything is fine. We just wanted to see you. I see that you're busy."

"Yeah, there is a lot going on right now. I'm sorry baby. I will try to get home early tonight." Jax leaned over and kissed Lily and Nina on the cheek. Nina nodded her head. "Is Gemma here?"

"Yeah, she is in the office."

"Okay….hurry home." Nina gave Jax a quick kiss on the lips before heading to see Gemma.

Angel was hardly paying attention to what was being said around him as his thoughts was on Jax's woman. He wondered what her name was and how Jax pulled her. How did they even meet? As the meeting went on Angel was plotting a way he could see her again. He knew the very thought of him even thinking of talking to her would be a death sentence. He heard how temperament Jax was, and he could just imagine how he would be when it came to his family. Angel didn't really care about Jax or the chaos meeting her would cause. Once he set his sight on someone or something come hell or high water he was going to accomplish it.

Nina was outside with Gemma saying goodbye when everyone piled out the bar. Nina could not help but search for the good-looking Mayan. She spotted him just she he spotted her. Their eyes locked again, and Nina felt a warm rush come over her. What was it about him that had her reacting the way she was? Angel did not let go of his gaze as he slowly walked to his bike. Nina almost gasped aloud when she saw him lick his lips as his gazed continued to penetrate hers.

"Nina….who are you staring at?" Gemma asked eyeing her. Gemma did not miss a thing and Nina quickly adverted her eyes.

"Did Nero mention anything about this meeting?" Nina asked collecting herself.

"No. Whatever it is I'm sure Jax has everything under control" Gemma knew Nina was trying to distract her, so she looked at each of the Mayans trying to figure out who had Nina's attention. She found her answer as a tall Mayan was staring at them as he put on his helmet. Gemma looked back at Nina as she grabbed Lily from her.

"Are you trying to start a war?"

Nina looked at Gemma. "What? A war?"

"That's exactly what would happen if Jax caught you and that Mayan eye fucking each other."

"I-"

"Don't even fix your lips to lie." Gemma warned. Nina sighed as she was caught red handed.

"I can see the appeal, but did you not learn anything after Juice?"

"I was just looking." Nina confessed.

"That's how it starts. Be careful Nina…..I mean it."

Nina nodded her head in agreement, grabbed Lily's diaper bag from Gemma and headed to her car. She tried not to look in the direction of the Mayan, but curiosity got the best of her, and she looked in his direction. He was still looking at her as he started his bike. Nina quickly looked away and looked back at Gemma and saw her shaking her head in disappointment. Something told Nina to look to her right and when she did her heart leaped in her throat. Jax was standing by the entrance looking at her, then the Mayan and back at her. Did Jax see them looking at each other the whole time? When a scowl appeared on his face as he watched the Mayans pull out, she received her answer.
