"Why are you leaving?" A choked female voice asked, restraing tears that wanted to fall with the icy wind.
"I am no longer needed here..." The male voice said with great sadness as the wind made his cheeks numb from the bitter cold.
"No longer needed?" The female questioned as she took a step toward the man, her feet crunched on the fresh snow.
"I have served my purpose..." The man said in his almost lifeless tone as he turned, heading toward his noble stead.
"Aang! Stop!" The women yelled as she grabbed his sleeve.
The man stopped, his face still turned away from her, facing the bitter wind.
"I love you..." She said in a whisper only ment for him to hear, her hair wipped around her face.
Aang turned to face the female. Not even the wool of his parka could keep him from shivering at her words.
"What?" He asked in his quite tone, his cheeks slowly becoming pink with blush.
"You heard me." The female said, feeling alittle bit more confident.
"You love me?" Aang asked as he slowly turned, creating a circular pattern in the ice with his boots.
"I love you." She said as she stepped forward, pressing her forehead to his.
"Why?" He asked as he looked to the ground, still taking her hand in his, trying to warm her now numbed and pink skin.
"You have always been there for me when I needed a friend most. You offered me freindship when I needed it. And that friendship has grown into something more. Love." The female said as she pressed her lips to his.
The two lovers stayed that way for what seemed and eternity, until a gental snow fell all around them. The first new snow of the new year.
"I love you, too." Aang said as he pressed the women's body to his own.
"Why did it take you so long to tell me?" He asked as he snaked her arms around her neck, wanting to protect her from any and all harm.
"It always seemed that you had something more important than me. A meeting with King Bumi, a training session with an elemental master, hunting with Sokka..." She said with an exasperated sigh.
"You seemed to have this whole world, a world I had no place being involved in." Katara said as she leaned in closer to him.
"Katara, you are crazy. You are my world, always have been my world. I've loved you since I was 12, a long time to be devoted to you." He said with a faint laugh.
"Then why did you hide it? Even after the cave and the final battle?" She asked as tears fell from here eyes.
"I never thought you had the same feelings I had, and still do. I always thought you saw me as some gauky little cue ball with a flying house pet." He said as he led her to his mighty steed.
"You? A gauky little cue ball? Never..." She said with a playfull tone as she kissed his cheek.
Aang blushed at her actions. "Are you going to go with me?" He questioned as he set her next to his ride.
"Is there any reason for me to stay here?" She playfully retorted as she climed into the animal's saddle.
"There's Sokka, and your niece and nephew." Aang said as he too climbed the giant animal.
"I think my brother and his wife will handle there little munchkins just fine without my help. Besides..." She said seductively as she leaned her body into his.
"Don't you want some little munchkins of your own?"

TBC... or not?
You decide! Do I continue, or leave it with this ending?
