Magic in the Dark Chapter 4

Somewhat quick update with the new Yugi Moto Deck Box set coming out I decided to do a new update for this story.

:Chapter Start:

Hogwarts-Week into the new year

Harry, Draco, Hermione, Neville and Ron were sitting at their desks waiting for ten minutes for Lockhart to finish fixing his hair before heading down from his office. The results being an over blown introduction that became the introduction to a quiz about their new teacher. Half hour later the quiz was over and Lockhart started reading the different answers leading him to call out all of the male students about getting zeroes for their answers while Lockhart smiled to the girls and then focusing on Hermione to comment, "Well I must say, that Hermione knew my dreams are to banish evil from the world and create my own line of hair care products." Hermione gagged at the smile he gave her as Lockhart asked another student to grab a cage from the back of the room and placed it on the teacher's desk. Lockhart then drew his wand, "Be warned I have been tasked with preparing you for evil you will face. Do not scream it might provoke them," Lockhart pulled off the cover of a bird cage that holds the several small blue pixie-like creatures.

The exploding roommate of Harry's spoke up, "Cornish Pixies?"

"Freshly caught Cornish Pixies," Lockhart states as everyone besides Harry, Hermione, Draco and Neville were the only ones who did not laugh as they frowns at the number of Cornish Pixies were too high for a single cage, as these pixies were known to work together to torment captors. "This is no laughing matter, let's see how you handle them?" and opened the cage resulting in twenty to thirty pixies flying around the room and terrorising everyone. Neville even being lifted into the air and hooked on a chandelier. Lockhart had some of the pixies tugging in his hair revealing it to be stuck. Lockhart then chants, "Pixie Cormy Tops Turvy!" only for that to not only be a fake spell but for him to lose his wand as he screams in terror as they used it to destroy the large skeleton that was attached to the roof above the desks where the Slytherin students would have sat, if they hadn't been the first to run when the cage was opened. Lockhart was swatting the Pixies away as he ran up to his office while saying, "I will just have to ask you to put them back into their cage," and locked himself into his office.

By this point, only Hermione, Harry, Draco and Neville were the only students still in the room, Harry pulled out his Duel Harness from his pack and says, "I am ending this!" he drew two cards and smiles as he activates "SWORDS OF REVEALING LIGHT!" the card was played as his ring glowed green lightly freezing the Cornish Pixies in place before he summons "Winged Kuriboh help Neville." The winged Kuriboh flew up to Neville and lowered him down carefully. Harry then drew another card and says, "Gagaga Magician, a little help," he summoned Gagaga Magician who assisted capturing several Pixies as Hermione transformed some boxes in the back of class into cages so that every cage had a maximum of two Pixies inside.

The two monsters and glowing swords in the room vanished in time for Hermione, Draco and Neville to share Hermione's question, "How did you do that?" Which was met with a stumble by Harry as he tried to walk away from the area. Hermione was concerned for him.

Harry simply answered, "Turns out, Dudley and I can summon real life Duel Monsters and use the spells and traps."

Hermione blinks at that before commenting, "Wait, could someone else learn to do that?" Harry just shrugs before Draco pulled out his Duel Harness and proceed to summon an Armed Dragon LV3, resulting in nothing happening for a moment before suddenly an outline was seen of an Armed Dragon LV3 before it vanished and Draco was breathing deeply in exhaustion.

Draco says, "Careful when you try," he takes a deep breath and adds, "I feel really drained like I used a couple dozen spells at once."

Harry blinks before agreeing with that before saying, "That actually explains things. Not how my cousin can do it though."

Harry, Hermione, Draco and Neville packed their gear up and left to head to their next class, which was Potions class and as everyone left their books at the DADA classroom where Harry saved everyone by saying, "Lockhart freed a pack of Cornish Pixies and forced the entire class to evacuate faster than if someone tried to read Lockhart's books aloud."

Snape appeared frozen and angry before he took a deep breath and says, "Then after class everyone is expected to go and get their potions books after class," he went over to the white board and wrote the instructions for a Hair removal cream potion than says, "Copy this potion's instructions and read it properly and then you will make the potion yourselves."

With that Harry, Hermione, Draco and Neville also copied the potion instructions down and would compare it to their potion text books. At the end of class Snape made a startling discovery, almost every student in that class made an almost perfect potion, except Hermione and Harry, having made perfect Potions. Snape thinks on this and decides to write the instructions for all potions in the future.

A couple weeks later-Week before the start of the Tournament-Gryffindor's Common Room-Sunday after lunch.

Harry, Hermione, Draco and Neville were sitting in the Common Room studying before the a Charms test that week. Professor McGonagall arrived with the other participants of the tournament and another student that was holding Harry's Nimbus 2000. The Professor spoke, "Lots are being taken to decide the brackets for the Duel Tournament," she revealed a small fabric bag to say, "for brackets with two from each house will be decided by one of four colours and a number one or two, which is used to decide which of the two spots you will be taking. Mister Potter," she offered the bag to Harry who pulled out a red coloured peg with the number one on it, "Red Bracket one, meaning tonight when Dumbledore reveals when everyone is duelling you will find out when and where you will be duelling, in one weeks time." Harry nods in understanding.

With that said positions were decided for everyone.

Harry: Red 1.

Draco: Green 2.

Nevile: Yellow 1.

After the brackets were picked the student holding Harry Broom spoke to Harry, "Hello, I am Oliver Wood, on behalf of the Quiditch team, I would like to thank you for loaning us your broom for the coming year," he shakes hands with Harry before Oliver asks, "Who do you suggest use it though?"

Harry frowns as last year the Gryffindor team lost their match when Oliver was knocked out by a Bludger. Harry remembering what Ron had shouted at him about the Nimbus 2000 was a high speed broom so Harry says, "Whoever becomes your seeker for the year. Though you each should practice with it you know to mess with the other teams to switch users."

Oliver smirks at that which really messed with Slytherin as they made paper mass shay to make the heads of the brooms to look like the Nimbus 2000 for a single match while they concealed the broom for another match. They won that year.

That night-Just before dinner.

Everyone in the Great Hall was wearing their Duel Harness as the Head Master was making his way to the podium. Everyone listened to Professor Dumbledore carefully as they wanted to know who they were duelling in a week's time. Dumbledore spoke, "Everyone appears restless, and I understand that everyone is excited. So with that said some final rules to explain. Everyone will know who they will duel in their second Duel, because for fairness in the duels you position should remain hidden from everyone, with that look up," everyone was confused before they looked at the roof to find clouds spelling 'Gullible' getting a laugh from the head master before they looked over to Dumbledore as he used his wand to lift up four coloured banners with a list of dated duels and the times of the duels and their locations."

Harry read the times for the Duels and found himself duelling a Slytherin in a week's time on the Quiditch Pitch, Draco would be duelling a Ravenclaw on the beach next to the black lake and Neville would be duelling against a Hufflepuff in the courtyard next to the Green Houses. Harry takes a deep breath to remain calm as he was the first and only one from Gryffindor to be duelling a Slytherin. Unfortunately Ron spoke, "Show those Slimy Snakes how they will never beat Gruffindor!" getting glares sent to Harry.

Everyone sighs at the Gryffindor table before Dumbledore continued, "Yes, I know some of you are excited for the coming duels. Many of you are probably wondering House point allocation. Winners of the first duel will receive one hundred house points. The second duel, two hundred, third duel three hundred, then for the final four duels first receive four hundred, second three hundred, third two hundred and finally fourth one hundred house points." Everyone smiles at that before Dumbledore adds, "If any participants receive a detention or break any rules they will be disqualified and receive no points." Dumbledore receives several nervous looks before he says, "Those who loses their first duel will receive a fifty house points." Several students appeared relieved mainly those who was glaring at who they figured would lose. Dumbledore then says, "Everyone enjoy your meals and please ensure that no one tries to interfere in any other duel. Enjoy your food," with that the food appeared.

Harry managed to get a bit in as Ron started speaking, "So how are you going to beat the Slytherin in your first duel?"

Harry frowns before stating, "Duel them," and heard a growl from behind him as a couple Slytherins had been trying to learn Harry's plan for the duel. Harry sighs as he find his idea of people spying on him. Harry then silently enjoyed his food before studying the Banner where he saw that the first duel in each Bracket of the people were going to happen at the same time. Same with each duel after it as they would be during different slots of time but the first set of matches would happen sequence ally. That means it would be harder for everyone to see everyone one else's cards to cheat without help.

The rest of the night was spent with Neville somewhat worrying as the next week would be an issue unless he gets very lucky in that they cannot counter his plants. Draco thoughts were mainly a recap of the abilities of his deck. Ron was grumbling as he ate about unfair detentions. While Hermione was going over the last few equations of her cards for the final few cards she would add.

Snape watched Harry Potter carefully deep in thought, Harry reminds Snape of his father but his mind was too much like Lily Potter to be ignored. Snape stood and whispered to Dumbledore that he was excuse himself from the rest of dinner. He had a letter to write.

Montage of the rest of the week

DADA was spent reading passages from his books, though Harry, Hermione, Draco and Neville avoided the class to do some extra study, or as Harry put it the actual class work they were meant to be doing.

Potions went as expected only now Snape was writing up the actual instructions for classes before they could attempt making the potion. Ron was seen making mistakes still in that class.

Charm and Transfiguration were mainly theory for some of the spells they would be doing in the coming weeks, mainly how the spells cannot be used on humans.

Herbology was learning how to replant and take care of young Mandrake plants.

Care for Magical creatures was one hundred percent theory as they needed to all be third years before they could do the practical work.

Astromany was cancelled for the next couple weeks due to the late nights of the class.

Only first years took flying lessons.

Day of Harry's first duel

Harry did his final preparations as he completed his deck for the duel. Harry walks past Draco and Neville making their final preparations for the duel. Hermione was ready to join him in watching his duel while Ron was going to join them as well in an hour when the duel was actually taking a nap before the duel after asking Harry to wake him when they were leaving. Harry asked Fred and George to wake him when they got back from Quiditch Practice.

Hermione asks, "Are you ready for the duel?"

Harry nods before the pair started walking out the common room after nodding to Draco and Neville as they finished their prep for their duels. Harry and Hermione walked out the Common room and down the hall avoiding the Slytherin's arriving to jump him before his duel. Harry arrived quickly and waited on a rock for the duel to start while talking with Hermione until the Slytherin forth year arrived surprised that Harry was there to duel.

The Slytherin spoke, "I am Harvy Ridgemont! Fourth year, Zombie Duelist," Harry blinked at that before frowning as Harvy had his Duel Harness ready about to insert his deck only he had to stop when a House Elf wearing a band around his neck that was black and white strips.

The house Elf simply says, "Rules of this tournament is to shuffle your deck in view of your opponent," Harvy growls before he shuffled his deck quickly before inserting his deck only for five cards to not fit in the deck, due to him having sixty five cards in his deck without realising. Harry copied his actions before the House Elf says, "I will flip this coin to decide who goes first, he revealed a coin with Slytherin and Gryffindors' houses symbols on either side. Harvy grits his teeth before the coin was flipped into the air and the House Elf states, "Master Harvey Ridgemont will duel first." Harvy went to draw only to be stopped by the House Elf as he says, "First turn of the duel you are unable to draw a card for your deck."

Potter LP=8000

Redgemont LP=8000

Harvey growls before saying, "Fine," he looks at his hand and says, "I summon Zombie Dragon in attack mode and four face downs," he now emptied his hand.

Harry nods in understanding before he draws and looks at his cards and nods, "My turn, I play the spell card Ancient Rule, this allows me to summon a level five or higher normal monster to my side of the field and I special summon Dark Magician, in attack mode. Now I play the spell card Heavy Storm destroying all your spell and trap cards. Now I play this card, Thousand Knives. When Dark Magician is on the field I can destroy one monster on the field and still attack with Dark Magician. As Dark Magician was Special summoned I normal summon Magician Valkyuria in defence mode. Now I will have Dark Magician attack you directly."

Ridgemont LP=8000-2500=5500

The growing crowd was seen clapping for Harry's turn. Harry simply says, "I end my turn."

Harvy drew his single card and says as he smirks, "Well I am about to disrupt you plans. I play Swords of Revealing light! Now you can't attack for three turns. Now I end my turn!"

Harry blinks in confusion before sighing as he drew, "I play a second Magicians Valkyeria in defence mode and play one card face down in my spell zone and end my turn."

Everyone blinked at the monster played as Harvy drew his card and smirks, "Your loss, Enraged Battle Ox, when he attacks a defence position monster he inflicts piercing damage now attack the Magicians Valkurya on the left."

The Battle Ox rushed forward to said monster intending to attack only to freeze and charge the other much to everyone's shock as Harry speaks, "My Valkuriya's effect stops other Spellcasters from being targeted for an attack and now that there are two your monster is in a never ending loop until you cancel your attack and end your turn."

Ridgemont growls before stating, "I end my turn."

The Battle Ox returned to stand guard in front of Ridgemont. Harry drew the final card he would need as he says, "This will be the last turn. First I summon, Breaker the Magical Warrior and equip it with a single counter increasing its attack by three hundred," Ridgemont glares before Harry plays another two cards, "First I play Mystical Space Typhone to destroy your Swords of revealing lights and flip my face down trap Raigeki Break and discard on card to destroy your Battle Ox. Now I play Magicians Unite, this spell allows me to combine the attack of all spell castors on the field into a single attack,"

The Maths Part: Dark Magician 2500+1600+1600+1900=7600.

Ridgemont blinks as he was defenceless and about to lose to a Gryffindor. As Harry started his attack, Ridgmont drew his wand to attack Harry only as he aimed at Harry he was suddenly shifting between the two Valkuryas struggling to aim at Harry. Harry spoke, "Dark Magician direct attack!" the attack hit launching Ridgemont back and snapping his wand.

The House Elf nods before vanishing with the results while Snape arrives and sneers at his Slytherins who commented that Harry cheated and broke Ridgemont's wand. Snape sneers at them and asks, "Why did he draw his wand?" and no one could answer as Snape continued, "The rules clearly stated that no student was draw their wands during a duel or would receive detention. I will be punishing him later. Take him to the medical wing." Snape walked away in a huff as the House Elves acting as referees were given permission to disqualify students breaking the rules of the Duel, and the fact that a single House Elf was assigned to each house to keep an eye on the different students who are part of the tournament. Snape cannot actually claim Harry Cheated without the referee being consulted on said cheating. Snape walked away leaving Hermione to run up to Harry and congratulate him before they went into the castle to wait for the others in the Great Hall.

The banners above the teachers desk was now gone and on the enchanted roof showing the results of the different duels seeing that Nevile had won his duel, not so surprising as he had been given a proper duel this time and not forced to skip Neville's turns.

Though Neville apparently was lost again as it would later be revealed that some Slytherins locking him inside a storage closet, two of which were those who lost in Neville's Bracket, in the first turn as they played cards that took away their life points at the end of their turn. Self Inflicted losses, as they used their skills first turn costing them to spend all their life-points.

Either way Harry when Ron arrived at the Great Hall to find Harry had forgotten him and complained for the entire hall to hear. Harry just excepted the brunt of everything Ron said while Luna and Ginny congratulated him and continued their private study with the intention of passing that terms Transfiguration work. An hour later Draco arrived in the great hall causing Harry to look up and see that Draco had won as well, and was the last to win the first sets of matches. Draco sat down exhausted as he appeared really sleepy. Harry asks, "Difficult Duel?"

Draco groans and says, "The guy made it so that I couldn't tribute monsters or attack for nine turns. He even had monsters to slowly end me."

Harry frowns and asks, "How did you win."

"Dudley's help with my deck mainly. Remind me to send him a letter thanking him," Draco answered as he continued to explain how he technically won after three turns when he could attack again. That being a said apparently all but one Revenclaw had won their duels, half the Slytherins and Griffindors had lost along with most of the Hufflepuffs. The only Hufflepuff still in the tournament was Harry's next opponent, a Cedric Diggery next week at the Quiditch Pitch.

Harry sighs as he closes his eyes as the rest of the day went by rather quickly, with Harry, Hermione, Draco and Neville finishing up their homework for the week end. Needing to write up the uses of a couple different potions relating to hair loss and growth. Though they each made minor note on how it could be used to torture the new DADA teacher. What can Harry say, the key to Snape giving high marks was to insult those he hates, the added note on Harry's about fixing the mop he called hair got him higher marks then his three friends.

Later in the week-With Harry-Halloween Night

Harry skipped dinner that night, before his next duel the reason being that he wanted to make a couple changes to his deck and that was eight cards that he was tempted to include with his deck, but sighs as he realises that he would not work for him. So he switched four cards from his desk and two from his extra deck and nods in acceptance of the new cards. Though he had two cards he was unsure what to do with so he placed them away for the moment in his side deck. He then started thinking on what to do for his next duel as he has been avoiding listening to any Gryffindor that watched this persons duel all for Fair Play. Either way he was ready to duel his next duel, the question was what is going to happen during said duel.

He take a deep breath before resting his head on his bed staring at the roof before saying, "I wonder when someone will challenge me again?" his only challenge since coming to Hogwarts has been against a psycho body snatcher, it was quite depressing.

Day of the Second Duel

Harry was walking to the Quiditch Pitch, though this time most of the Quiditch team for his house was coming with as they know Harry's opponent. Hermione, Ginny and Luna was walking with him to cheer him on. Ron had intended to join them but unfortunately was completing his weekly Detention that day with Madam Sprout, he would have done it during the week if Lockhart had actually been there for his detention.

Harry was walking ahead of everyone where they spotted Lockhart waiting for Harry. "Ah Harry, I have been meaning to speak with you. You have been avoiding my class and that is not good if you want to fight the dark forces." Harry walked right past him without a word as he was ready for a duel as he walked into the stadium. Lockhart followed him as he says, "Listen Harry, it is my job to prepare you and I can't do that if you do not come to class." Harry was silent as they found where the duel will be taking place where they see a Cedric Diggery apparently talking with the other students from his house. Lockhart deciding to be affirmative spoke, "Mister Potter if you do not answer me I will give you detention."

Harry stopped walking before glaring over his shoulder and says, "When you admit that all of your books are work of fiction and you actually know the spells you are teaching," Lockhart appeared angry before Harry states, "Walk away," Lockhart drew his wand only to find his wand had been replaced with a rubber snake as he screamed in panic and ran away in fear. Fred and George laughed in amusement along with Luna as they proceeded to the stands.

Hermione said one last thing, "Good Luck," Harry nodded at the support before standing on the wooden platform across from Cedric.

Harry stood across from the Hufflepuff student before listening to his opponent, "Hi, I am Credric Diggery, forth year." Cedric was shuffling his deck vigorously before inserting his deck.

"Harry Potter," Harry states before commenting, "So you know how to play?"

Cedric smirks and says, "Yeah, went to a couple Muggle tournaments and even spent time learning there version of the game," Harry blinks at Cedric's smirk. Cedric then continues, "Was even planning on revealing what you have been doing in my final year."

Harry chuckles and says, "Sorry about that. Though you aren't exactly the example of a Hufflepuff."

Cedric smirks and says, "Yeah, I don't really see the point of being the same as everyone else. I mean, it is not really cunning if everyone knows that you are meant to be that, they expect it."

Harry narrowed his eyes before asking, "Then where do you see yourself?"

Cedric smirks and says, "I won't abandon my friends, but I saw I am a bit more Gryffindor," that was when the House Elf appeared, the same one from his last duel before Cedric asks, "So what is your name?" referring to the House Elf.

The House Elf was embarrassed before stating, "I am Snivels, I see that both Duellist are ready to duel," with that he pointed at the platforms and had them levitate into the air. Harry dropped on the platform holding his breath as he tried to avoid panicking.

Cedric asks, "You okay there?" seeing the panicked look on Harry's face.

"Not good with heights," Harry admits.

Cedric looks to the Ref and asks, "Could you lower us, my opponent cannot duel like this."

Snivels asks Harry, "Do you wish to concede the duel?" Cedric shouts, 'That is not what I meant!'

Harry simply asks, "Not really, could we just duel at ground Level?"

Snivels simply says, "I am afraid that Professor Lockhart has requested that all the duels be given a setting to increase the entertainment of the duels. Harry sighs at that before Snivels states, "I will flip the coin to decide who duels first," with that Harry was chosen to go first.

Potter LP=8000

Diggery LP=8000

Harry frowns before drawing his five cards and says with a stuttering in his voice, "First I summon, Skilled Dark Magician, and now I play three cards, Swords of Revealing Light, Magician's Left Hand and Pot of Greed. So I get to draw two cards and I activates Skilled Dark Magician's special effect, I can tribute him and special summon, Dark Magician from my hand." Cedric appeared calm as Harry summoned one of his Aces of his deck. Harry then says with one card in his hand simply says, "I end my turn."

Cedric drew a card and smirks before saying, "Well I have to say you have done an impressive first turn. But what I intend to do means I will be the first at Hogwarts to beat you. I play Swords of Revealing Light! Then I summon Baby Dragon in defence mode and then play two face downs and end my turn."

Harry frowns at this before drawing his card and says, "Well considering that neither of us can attack I will summon Wing Kuriboh in defence mode and end my turn."

Cedric drew his card an d says, "I summon another Baby Dragon in defence mode and end my turn."

Harry drew and looked at the two cards in his hands and says, "I summon, another Skilled Dark Magician and end my turn," Harry's Swords of Revealing Light vanished.

Cedric drew his card before saying, "I summon a third Baby Dragon and I play my Mystical Space Typhon to destroy your Magician's Left Hand card. Now at the end of this turn my SRL will vanish and I cannot have that, so instead I activate another SRL and end my turn," Cedric plays a second SRL as the first vanished.

Harry frowns at that as he looks at the cards on the field with a frown as he tries to remember Baby Dragon's trick and trying to realise why it was bugging him. Harry drew before looking at the new card and says, "My turn, I play two cards face down and end my turn."

Cedric draws as he smirks before speaking, "Well let's look at what I have," he looks at the card and frowns as he sighs, "Well, another turn before we can continue. I end my turn."

Harry frowns as he thinks on what Cedric is planning. Harry drew and he sees Dark Magician girl and frowns as he leaves it in his hand before thinking on what he needs to do, "I end my turn," without playing any cards.

Cedric nods in understanding before he drew, looks at the card and says, "Well another turn before I can end it, so I activate another SRL," Harry blinks as he realises Cedric is trying to draw a specific card. Cedric then states, "I play one card face down and end my turn."

Harry frowns but then draws and says, "Well then I sacrifice Skilled Dark Magician to summon Dark Magician Girl and end my turn."

Cedric nods before drawing and he smirks, "Ha, finally the card I need, I play Time Wizard and activate it's effect and activate my trap card, Trick Coin, this means that my Time Wizard will activate anyway that I want!" Harry realised Baby Dragon's gimic as all of his monsters were destroyed while the three Baby Dragons were replaced with three Thousand Dragons. Harry's field was empty as Cedric states, "Now my Dragons will attack you directly!" all three did attack but Harry took no damage to his LP. Cedric blinks and asks, "Why didn't you lose any Life Points?"

"Wing Kuriboh negates all damage to my Life Points on the turn it was destroyed," Harry states simply.

Cedric blinks before calmly stating, "That is very helpful for you. One more turn before you can attack again. I end my turn."

Harry nods and draws his card and sees one of the new cards in his hand and could only smile as one of his dads cards is about to make an appearance, "First I activate my facedown, Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy your SRLs!" the card flipped and SRL was sent to the graveyard, "Now I play a spell from my hand, RED-EYES FUSION!" the result was a large black dragon with red eyes and a strange skull creature appeared on the field for a couple moments, "By sending my Red Eyes Black Dragon and Summoned Skull to the graveyard I can fuse the two monsters from my deck," the two monsters appeared to rotate around each other before suddenly between the two a fusion of the two creatures was on the field and says, "Unfortunately I am going to have to swallow the vomit forming in my mouth as imitate Draco Malfoy from last year," Cedric raised an eyebrow as he says, "My father had really good taste in cards," everyone blinked at that.

Cedric frowns before realising what he meant and chuckles as he says, "Of course, the last King of Hogwarts," Harry was surprised before Cedric asks in confusion, "Wait I thought you were scared of heights."

Harry started to sweat as he suddenly shouts, "The duel is helping so stop delaying!" his voice was filled with stutters and trembling. Cedric nods as Harry continues, "Black Skull Dragon attacks your first Thousand Dragon," the first monster was destroyed resulting in the first bit of damage in the duel.

Cedric grits his teeth as his turn began. Cedric drew a card and proceeded to say, "I play one card face down," the card ended up in the spell/trap card zone. Cedric then continues, "I then move my two monsters into defence and end my turn."

Harry drew his card and says, "I play Monster Reborn and summon Dark Magician Girl now my two monsters will destroy both of your Thousand Dragons," both monsters were destroyed causing Harry to raise an eyebrow before he ended his turn.

Cedric drew his card and plays it, "Scape Goat, this card lets me summon four Goat tokens in defence mode and will ensure that you cannot damage my life points your turn."

Harry nodded before drawing his card before stating, "Why didn't you activate your trap?"

Cedric states, "My cards are on my side," Harry excepted that.

Harry simply nods before saying, "I attack and destroy two of your tokens," two of the four tokens were destroyed and the card was unaffected. "I end my turn."

Cedric drew his card and sighs as he says, "I end my turn."

Harry nods before drawing and Harry summons a monster, "I summon Gearfried The Iron Knight," with that an armoured knight monster made of black bladed metal. Now, my knight and Dark Magician Girl will attack your remaining Token," both tokens were destroyed before Harry says, "I attack you directly with Black Skull Dragon."

Cedric suddenly flipped his trap, "I activate Scrape Iron Scarecrow, this negates one attack per turn and at the end of the turn it is then placed face down to be used again." Harry nods as the battle phase ended before listening to Cedric draw his monster resulting in him sighing and summons a monster, "I summon Soldier of Landstar in defence mode and end my turn."

Harry draws and sees a monster in his hand and says, "I summon, Timegazer Magician and use it to attack your Soldier of Landstar," the attack connected before Harry continued, "Now Dark Magician Girl and Gearfried attacks directly,"

Diggery LP=7200-2300-1800=3100.

Cedirc gritted his teeth as Harry continues, "Now Black Skull Dragon attack directly."

Cedric spoke up, "I activate my scarecrow negating the damage."

Harry closes his mind before saying, "I end my turn," both plays did not notice that the platforms they were standing on was starting to fail.

Cedric drew his card and says, "I summon, Giant Soldier of Stone in defence mode and end my turn."

Harry frowns as he suddenly asks, "Don't you have anything to help you win this duel?"

"Nope," Cedric states as Harry drew the final card of the duel.

Harry sighs at the honesty of Cedric and asks, "Let's talk after the duel," Cedric nods as Harry play the last card of the Duel, "Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy your scarecrow," the scarecrow was destroyed before Harry continued, "Dark Magician Girl attacks your Soldier of Stone and Black Skull Dragon attacks you directly!"

Harry Potter Wins.

The platforms started to slowly lower before suddenly Harry's platform jerked before it fell twenty feet and knocked Harry to the ground with a broken arm. Lockhart was seen rushing over with his wand to help only for Harry to summon a Dark Magician that was in his hand that caught Lockhart's arm before throwing him away and fading quickly. Cedric rushed over and asks, "You okay Harry?"

"I think my arms broken," Harry states before commenting, "Or it could just be sprained. I will head to Madam Pomfrey," Harry stands and starts walking back to the castle in pain. Cedric went to his unbroken arm's side and starts helping Harry, whom says, "What are you doing?"

"Figured I would help my rival so I can duel him again," Cedric states causing Harry to smile at the new friendship that was made.

Dumbledore's office-That night

Dumbledore listen to the House Elves informing him of the winners and if anyone has been cheating. So far it has only been the Slytherin's who lost as they cheated, except for the last Slytherin. At the moment though all but two Ravenclaws were out the Tournament while only three Gryffindors remained the second set of duels and the final Hufflepuff apparently lost to Harry's currently strongest monster. In the end he had more information on Lockhart's actions which was doubled as a student had been injured by his actions.

The House Elves left as Professor Snape, MacGonagall, Sprout and Flitchwick had arrived for Dumbledor to hear their complaints about on Lockhart. Dumbledor listen to them and informed his staff, "I know he is a fraud, this has really been a test to see if he actually knew anything about the spells he should be teaching. I suggest you inform your students of the book lists in the library to study for the end of year exams."

With that the teachers left Dumbledor alone as he stood and opened a door to a storage room in his office to find a warded pedestal with Tom Riddle's diary on top. Though the student from fifty years ago standing next to it, "Hello Professor."

"Hello, Tom, accommodations suiting you?" Dumbledor asks.

Tom glares before stating, "Well, I am sealed in a book and because of you I can finally step out of it's pages and yet I cannot regain my power without taking the life force of a living being," he glares at his old Transfiguration Teacher before stating, "But I can wait."

Dumbledor sighs and comments, "I am afraid Tom, that is for the best. I understand you hate what Muggles have done to you and that witches and wizards should be ruling over them. But then I ask, How does Harry Potter feel about it. An older version of you tried to kill him after killing his parents and he was raised by Muggles who hated him only for his cousin to support him. Would you have become a dark lord with the support of your family?" Tom Riddle was silent before Dumbledor continued, "Where would you hid to avoid the Ministry of Magic?"

With that the night was spent learning how Voldemort thought and learning the truth and undoing the wrongs of the past and a former student would have their name cleared. So next year Rubius Hagrid would become the replacement for the Care of Magical Creatures class. And all thanks to Harry Potter being capable of resisting the effect which was a concern for Dumbledore that he decided to keep an eye on him. For now Harry would be left to his own devices.

Gryffindor Commonroom-that moment

Harry arrived to the common room, his arm simply in a light sling as the school nurse was able to heal the injury and the cracked rib and shin bones, easy fixes in the Magical community. Ron appeared to think that Cedric had been the cause of the injury after the duel while Lockhart was shouted at by Madam Pomfry as he came in stating that he knew a spell to fix Harry's arm and would have been able to complete the spell after Harry shouted at him to leave him alone only for Cedric to disarm him and threaten the teacher. Pomfrey would have probably disciplined him only she knew why it happened.

So here is Harry walking back to the common room while everyone else was at the Great Hall listening to Professor McGonagall informing the other students that a two week break for the Tournament was declared after what happened to Harry. Harry smiles as he returns to the Common Room with one less Card in his side deck. Harry walked in expecting to be alone instead he sees the entire Common Room set up for a party and everyone cheering for Harry, Draco and Neville winning their second set of brackets. MacGonagall would join in later, either way the Gryffindors were having a party while Harry sat with Hermione, Draco and Neville, Ron was pigging out at the food table.

Harry yawns exhausted causing Hermione to ask, "Are you okay Harry?"

"I hate heights," Harry states before commenting, "Fun duel though."

Hermione nods again as she comments, "Though delaying you in order to summon three strong monsters."

Harry nods before commenting, "Yeah, I had a Mystical Space Typhoon ready since the first turn," they blink before commenting, "A brilliant plan though, I would have taken damage to my life points by about half the attack of all my monsters destroyed by Time Wizard, Dark Magician, Dark Magician Girl and Wing Kuriboh, in that one turn I would have been taken down by the three Thousand Dragons and the equivalent of four attacking me directly. It was would have been an instant win if I hadn't lucked out. I lucked out and Cedric did not have a way to take down Black Skull Dragon."

Hermione frowns before commenting, "Then why didn't he forfeit?"

"Turns out he did not want to disappoint me apparently," Harry admits Harry chuckles and says, "The guy is cool and he stopped Lockfuck from using his wand on me." Hermione was concerned by the fact a teacher wanted to cast a spell on Harry against his will. Harry then comments, "So what about you two?"

"Played against a Slytherin," Draco states before adding, "They filled their deck with almost every card under the sun that had Piercing damage only they were not able to work together."

Neville then comments, "I would have taken that over what I went through, I had to guess cards being drawn before I could attack and I did that for the entire duel, one turn each and I got extremely lucky somehow as he managed to guess the exact card type he drew for forty cards as it removed a hundred life points with every correct guess from their life points, if I had guessed wrong he would have removed a hundred life points from me, only as long as I was correct the spell continued."

Harry nodded at that as that before stating, "Well I now can say that two duels have challenged me so far at Hogwarts," unknowingly encouraging Draco to go prepare his deck.

:End of Chapter Four:

For those who are questioning my choice, basically, the tournament is four rounds before a final set of four. The reason I have not mentioned any of the other duels is because I wanted to keep the surprise of their upgrades to their decks. This will mean that a fair duel is seen.
