Night fell earlier than Nigel had gotten used to in the last few weeks being on planet earth, in his house. That was a clear sign that autumn was coming. For a moment, he had completely forgotten the seasons of the year and it is that in space, he had no way of knowing what season of the year he was in, nor did he have good control of space time, since the clocks on all the planets he visited marked a different schedule.
He got out of bed and closed the window of his room because the cold was seeping through it and it was already giving him goosebumps. When he looked down, he noticed that something strange was going on. Was that Numbuh 60's truck? What was he doing there? A knock on the door brought him back to reality.
"Come in," he gave the order for the door to be opened and his mother appeared in the doorway.
"Nigel dear, you have visitors. Why didn't you tell me you had so many school projects? It must be difficult to catch up in a new school in such a short time" his mother tells him in a sweet tone.
"Emm… I…" Nigel didn't know what was going on and before he could say anything, Patton and Fanny entered his room.
"Well, I'll leave you alone, you have a lot of work to do and I don't want to interrupt you," Mrs. One withdrew, leaving the teenagers alone.
"But what are you doing here?" Nigel asks indignantly due to the sudden presence of his companions.
"How's that for what we're doing here?" Didn't you see my messages?" Fanny asks angrily in her characteristic tone of voice. "Do you have the cell phone as an ornament or what?"
"Oh well I... I was charging the battery and..."
"Did you put it on silent?"
"It's just that I wanted to read and…"
"And what is all this rubbish?" Fanny asks, looking around Nigel's room. He had many books and magazines all over the bed and on the floor, dirty clothes piled in one corner, and some dirty socks scattered all over the room. He also had several boxes in another corner that seemed to be packed and closed poorly and any movement of earth would cause them to collapse "Why is your room so messy?"
"I mean, hello, this is my room! I wasn't expecting visitors either," Nigel replied and looked at Patton who just kept his eyes on the ground while Fanny scolded him.
"Maybe if you had your cell phone handy you could know we were coming. Fix this hole! You have five minutes Numbuh One, not one more, not one less. Leave this decent place to receive a lady by now.
"As if there was one," Nigel whispered but Fanny overheard him.
"WHAT DID YOU SAY?"
"Nothing... I…, Sir, Ma'am!"
"I'll wait outside," the girl said before walking away and closing the door furiously. The sound rang in her ears and she just sighed in exhaustion. Was her temperament never going to change?
He looked around her and began to quietly pick up the socks. Then she heard a giggle coming from Patton. Was she making fun of him?
"I don't know how you stand it," Nigel comments, arranging the books back on his shelf. "You spend all day with her, how do you do it?
"After a couple of years you get used to Numbuh 86. That is, there is no other way." Patton helped Nigel collect the magazines and arrange the pillows on the Englishman's bed.
Nigel finished fixing up his room so that it would be decent to receive "the lady". After five minutes, he opened the door to find her with her arms crossed and a frown on her face. Why was she always so upset all the time? That girl should sort her priorities.
"Well, you're finally on time for something."
"Come in and let's finish this once and for all," he stepped aside for the girl to enter and closed the door.
Fanny sat in the chair at the desk where the newly purchased laptop that her father gave him was located. Patton stood to one side and Nigel sat on the bed, but not before grabbing his cell phone and reviewing at least 10 messages and 7 missed calls that the redhead had left him about half an hour ago. He just wanted to read quietly. Those gadgets demanded a lot of his attention and sometimes he didn't let him concentrate.
"Tell me what I'm good at," Nigel said without further ado.
"I have two news for you, Numbuh One," Fanny began to speak, now a little more relaxed when she saw that the room was tidier. She didn't understand why boys had to be so dirty and messy. "The first is, Numbuh 60 was promoted by Matador as his second-in-command and that gives us the advantage of knowing the location of his lair and the possible location of all the missing agents. It is not certain that this is the case, but we cannot think of another place where they could be.
"Beatles told me I'm going to a meeting tomorrow and introduce myself as his lieutenant and second-in-command. I may have to go a couple of times to analyze the place, you know, the entrances, how big it is, its security system, how many guards they have, all of that" Patton continued with the information.
"Wow, that's good news. Finally we can go to rescue them and put an end to their evil plans", adds Numbuh One, excited by the good news.
"Not so fast Numbuh One," Fanny told her, trying to lower her enthusiasm, "We have to prepare ourselves and make a plan" We can't just go in there and be the heroes and that's why, with Numbuh 444's approval, your treehouse will be returned to you. It will be our base too."
"What?" Nigel asks, trying to process what the redhead had just said. Was his treehouse still intact out there somewhere? And best of all, was he going to be able to get her back?
Fanny takes the small backpack that she had with her and opens it, thus taking out a device that Numbuh One knew very well. Seeing it gave him feelings of nostalgia. At the time, he hadn't realized how much he missed seeing his entire team gathered fighting adult tyranny at her side.
"Is that…?
"That's right, Numbuh One. It's the same L.U.N.C.H.B.O.C.K.S. that belonged to numbuh Two.
"Wow, where did you get that?" Patton asks, surprised. He knew they were going to take Numbuh One's tree house back but he never questioned the means of getting there.
"Numbuh Two made the prototype of the current security systems of the tree houses that keep them in stealth mode.
"Stealth mode?
"Have you seen any tree houses in all the time you've been here?" Patton's question leaves Nigel thoughtful.
Looking back, near Nigel's house there were at least two more sectors with tree houses almost as big as his and he was so busy going about his business, dealing with puberty and strategizing that he didn't realize that those houses were no longer in their place.
"Now that you mention it," he spoke, stroking his own chin, "I haven't seen a single tree house in sectors Q and W."
"Stealth mode is part of the security system Numbuh Two started creating before he left KND. He was worried that adults would always know where to take their revenge every time we kicked him and how the parents would be annoyed with their children for spending so much time in the tree house than in their own, so with stealth mode, the computer only allows to see and access the one whose DNA is registered in the central system of the tree house" explained Fanny looking quite intellectual. This impressed both Nigel and Patton.
"But my tree house has my DNA and that of my entire sector, I think I should have been able to see it when I got home the first time, don't you think?"
"That's why I brought the L.U.N.C.H.B.U.C.K.S.," she said, holding up the device so that Nigel could get a good look. She turned the chair to the desk and put it on top of it. "When I was in charge of the decommissioning squad, only the highest-ranking ones had access to a special warehouse where we kept what we considered relevant when cleaning the homes of the agents who had to retire. I don't know why I considered it important to save this when I went to Numbuh Two's house but I'm glad I did." She started typing quickly, getting the small computer to turn on. "In this artifact, there is the initiation protocol R.E.V.I.V. bring your tree house out of the depths of your backyard with a 1 million digit code system. I just have to plug it into a port on your mainframe and this will do the rest."
"One million? That could take us all night," Patton said looking at the screen that was waiting for the start command to start the decoding.
"How do you access the mainframe if my tree house is buried who knows where?" Nigel asks somewhat confused.
"With that," Fanny said, pointing to the protruding log at the end of Nigel's room.
"Wait a second!," Nigel yells as he remembers that trunk had a secret entrance to an underground base belonging to his tree house, "Remember when Grandfather almost turned us all into old zombies?"
"Yuck! Don't even remind me. I still have in mind that image of Numbuh 3 and Numbuh 4 zombified kissing. And not to mention Numbuh 60 arriving at the lunar base all wrinkled" Fanny's skin prickled as she remembered those dark days for KND.
"Wait what?" Patton says trying to remember exactly what happened that day. Why had no one told him about that gossip?
Nigel left the teens to discuss whatever they were talking about as he examined the log and then remembered that his father, the legendary Numbuh Zero, had hit him at some point where a door opened that helped them escape from the zombified hamsters. He kicked the bottom of the trunk several times and after several tries, the hatch opened causing Fanny and Patton to walk towards the trunk and see the entrance.
"What is that?" Fanny asks as she peeks out and she only manages to see an immense darkness.
"Follow me," said Nigel slipping through the doorway and disappearing out of the room. Fanny and Patton looked at each other a bit confused but then the girl hurried to the entrance and slipped in too, followed by Patton.
The drop was a bit steep for the teenagers, especially since the space to slide down what seemed to be a slide was somewhat reduced for their grown bodies. Still, they made it to the bottom and Patton tripped over Fanny who still hadn't moved out of the end of the slide path.
"Damn Numbuh 60! Couldn't you just wait a bit to slide until I got far enough ahead?," the girl asks as she walks away from him, adjusting her skirt, "Some common sense please."
"I'm sorry Numbuh 86," the boy apologized, adjusting his cap that had shifted due to the movement.
The place was dark and they could barely see where they were walking. Suddenly, the lights came on. Nigel had found a small switch that illuminated everything around him. It was somewhat dusty and there were many empty boxes, a small ship, some levers, various control panels, some old furniture and a whole pile of KND papers and plans piled up at the end of the place.
"What is this place?" Fanny asked, looking at the control panel as Patton started going through the plans he had found.
"This place, my dear friends, is the original Treasure Chamber of Coolness," Numbuh One replied very proudly. That secret base belonged to his father and he was very happy that this space was still intact.
"I remember reading something about that in the historical documents of the Kids Next Door," Patton commented, unfolding the plans. "This is supposed to be an important place, but I don't remember why. Who would have thought that this was under your house."
"This place is important precisely because of this" the boy approached a lever and when he activated it, the ground in front of him opened up, giving way to a large pedestal where the most important book found on earth rested, The Legendary Book of KND.
Realizing that it was that book, Fanny hurriedly approached the object and took it in her hands.
"It appears to be in very good condition. At last you do something right Numbuh One" she returns to put the book in her place.
"Wait, did you know about this?" I always thought that this kind of stuff would be in the super secret vault of the lunar base" asks Patton, indignant at the situation.
"Don't you think the teenagers have stolen the Code Module long enough to know that our vaults on the moon base aren't secure enough?" Shecrossed his arms. "I have to admit that leaving the book here was one of the best ideas Numbuh 362 had during his tenure."
"Uhmm, well back to where we came from," Nigel cleared his throat before continuing, "Do you think you can access my tree house's mainframe from here? After all, this camera is connected to the whole house."
"I think it can work."
The girl walked over to the control panel and with her hand, brushed away the excess powder, causing both Nigel and Patton to cough from the rising particles. She found a small panel that she could easily open and pulled out some wires that she connected directly to the L.U.N.C.H.B.O.C.K.S. that she had brought with her before entering the chamber. Patton handed her a chair that HEe found for the girl to sit on so she could do her work more comfortably. He then went back to review the plans he had left behind. Nigel just stood next to him watching the girl type things into the device.
"Access to the database of the computer in the tree house in Sector V," said the voice coming from the computer. "Do you want to start the R.E.V.I.V.E protocol?"
"Come on Numbuh One, the computer will only recognize your voice command."
"Oh yes, of course" he got closer to the device to be able to speak better —Execute the order, computer"
"Access denied. The voice command is not recognized" the computer replied.
"Try to make your voice a little squeaker like when you were a kid, then we'll change all that once the process is complete."
"What do you mean, shrill voice?"
"Cooperate Numbuh One!"
"Ok, don't despair!" He cleared her throat a little and tried as much as he could to sharpen her voice "Execute the order, computer" Patton stifled a giggle upon hearing it and then coughed to hide it. He had practically spoken like a little girl.
"Access granted. Starting R.E.V.I.V.E protocol" a green bar appeared on the screen that said "loading 0%" and below it a whole line of digits that the computer was decoding from the L.U.N.C.H.B.O.C.K.S.
"This could take all night, you'll most likely see your treehouse at dawn."
"Do I really have to wait that long?" Nigel complained as if he were a little boy but when he saw the expression on the girl's face, he desisted from saying anything else.
"I need to make sure the process is running correctly, why don't you tell him what happened to you with Wally this afternoon Numbuh60?" Nigel glanced at Patton and he looked up at them wondering if they had mentioned it or not already, since he was very concentrated looking at the plans.
"Excuse me, are you talking to me?"
"No, I'm talking to the ghost in the basement. Of course I'm talking to you!" She smacked his forehead with his hand in frustration.
"Numbuh 86 says, tell me the details of what happened in the afternoon" Nigel told him when he saw that Fanny had gone back to the control panel to make sure that the decoding was running correctly.
"Hmmm, well…" he made a thoughtful face and then continued, "Beatles promoted me as his second in command and I'm sure Remington is going to hate me for that and want to annoy Fanny more than he already does but that's not it. important here. He asked me a curious question today that I think could be an opportunity for him to go back to being himself."
"Is Tyler Remington the new guy I saw today? Don't tell me he's a problem too," Nigel asked.
"He's just a fucking plaguey, but I don't think we have to worry about him that much. The thing is, Beatles asked me today if there was a possibility that he, in the past, was part of KND and that was very strange. Teenagers usually don't question that, they just simply hate kids and want to kill them or destroy them, especially the ones with little siblings.
"And what does that mean?"
"I think he is talking to Kuki Sanban, or he has had direct contact with her. Whatever it is that's putting his brain to use, I'm sure it has to do with her.
"Did they manage to be friends or something after their decommission?"
"Not at all" Fanny interrupts them "But I also hold the same theory as Numbuh 60, after all they were dating before leaving KND.
"¡Stop there! Are you telling me that Numbuh Four confessed to Numbuh Three? No… I can't believe it," Nigel says, trying to imagine Wally being romantic with Kuki.
"Oh yeah, I remember seeing several reports of them on the KND news. I never understood why Numbuh 10 was allowed to comment on the private lives of the agents in those news stories. That was supposed to be for real information but it looked like a 12 Hearts show."
"What's that?" Nigel asks, realizing that he's never heard of the name of that program.
"Don't tell Numbuh One about those stupid show. And how much do you do with those plans?" Fanny asks when she sees that Patton just went by looking from one plan to another.
"There's nothing wrong with that I…" he couldn't continue with what he was saying, because he had in his hands something that had caught his attention. Saying no more about it, both Nigel and Fanny came up behind the boy to look at what had left the agent speechless. And it was not for less, considering what he was holding in his hands.
"Is that what I think it is?"Fanny asked, still not believing what her eyes were seeing.
"It can't be that my dad was so careless with this," Nigel said as he looked carefully at the blueprint. "If my eyes don't lie to me, this could be the original blueprint for the Recommissioning Module that my father destroyed before returning to normality.
"Did that thing work?" Patton asks, analyzing the blueprint. "Wow, but what precise instructions. I could even put it together with my advanced knowledge of technology."
"You, an expert in technology?" asked Fanny, puzzled. She knew that Patton was renowned for his leadership, strategy and combat skills but she had no idea that he was also a lab brainiac.
"Why do you think I was the Drill Sergeant Supreme Commander of Kids Next Door Arctic Base?"
"Ummm, because of your training in the military army camps?" Nigel asked.
"Apart from that…" he settled in his seat "To be a commander I had to be good in all possible areas if I wanted to teach and train the cadets, you know, I had to do it well and without mistakes."
"Do you think you can build it?"
"Wait Numbuh One!" Fanny snatched the plan from Patton's hands "I won't let you remake the recommissioning module, have you already forgotten what happened with Grandfather? I can't risk the entire organization again."
"Are you blind? With this module we will be able to recover Wally and all the agents who had lost their memories, his life, all taken away from them. Think about it."
Fanny looked at Nigel with a frown. That really didn't sound too bad, but she didn't want to risk everyone with the possible return of another Grandfather-level villain. The seventh era of the Kids Next Door was almost over because of him. She turned her gaze from her to Patton who was still sitting with his arms crossed and as they had learned to communicate with signs and looks, he nodded slightly letting her understand that the idea was not bad and they had to do it.
"Why?" the girl asks, returning the blueprint.
"Is not a bad idea but you just have to execute it correctly. We build this, use it on each agent when this is all over, and destroy it along with this blueprint."
"Are you really going to destroy it?" Nigel was terrified at the thought of destroying Numbuh Zero's legacy, his father, just like that. He was sure that finding those plans had to mean something, it wasn't a mere coincidence. It was then that he remembered that just before leaving with the Galactic Kids Next Door, the scientists from the moon base and the arctic base, temporarily restored his parents' memories so they could say goodbye properly. If they were able to create a weapon of this nature, who would take away that another being with sufficient knowledge could build another artifact that returns memories by their own means? Although of course, leaving the blueprint intact makes it easier for anyone who finds them and takes advantage of them.
"We can't let that lie around, what if someone finds it?"
"This place is pretty safe, if you ask me," Nigel answered, looking around him. "If it wasn't for Numbuh Zero, all of this would still be history."
"Do I have to remind you that this place is in your house? You know Numbuh One, everyone can say wonders about you and your sector but I know perfectly well that you always found a way to ruin everything. You have no idea all the headaches they put me and Numbuh 362 through back in the day."
"And where do you leave my migraines every time you yell at us? " He asked, getting him out of his wits. Why did Fanny always have to complicate everything? "You can ask each kid of our generation, nobody wanted to talk to you with that attitude, you didn't have any friend, or a sector, because anyone couldn't work peacefully with you. You were a nurse in the medical department and any child would rather go home hurt than be treated by you."
An awkward silence fell over the entire place. Nigel was breathing hard, he had never dared in the past to yell at his superior like that but now that he was already realizing how much he had grown, he told her the things that he always kept to himself in the past. Patton glanced at Fanny who had remained silent and she did not answer. It was the first time he had seen her like this. Was it her imagination or did what they told her really affect her emotionally?
Fanny was not one of those girls who was carried away by what others said to her. But for some reason, she got what she was told.
"Okay," the girl began to speak a few seconds later, clenching her knuckles hard trying to control herself and not beat him up, "I will make a decision regarding this matter in the next few days together with the Supreme Leader and you will be notified later. The treehouse should be ready by sunrise tomorrow. We no longer have anything to do here. Let's go Numbuh 60!"
Silently, Patton got up and walked to a raised platform that would transport them back to the entrance. Nothing was worth saying at the time. Nigel only watched as they both left and he stayed in the chamber reviewing the papers that Patton was reviewing while Fanny activated the protocol that would return her base to him.
Patton was the one who said goodbye to Mr. One before leaving the house since Fanny didn't say anything and her face was very red, she was really holding back from yelling his truths at Nigel and she didn't want to be rude to the parents of the boy who they had been so kind to when receiving them in their house at that hour.
The girl got into the truck and slammed the door hard. Patton settled into her seat, fastened his seat belt and turned the key to start the car. He turned on the radio and tuned in to a station that he liked a lot because it broadcast music by indie groups. Immediately afterwards, Fanny put her hand to the sound system and turned the volume down to zero.
"I need music to drive and not fall asleep," he lied. He just wanted to soften the atmosphere a bit and wanted the girl to calm down.
"I don't care, I don't want to hear anything." She looked down and the boy didn't really want to argue with her so he backed away and drove out of the street where Nigel lived.
It was already quite late and he was sure that Fanny's father would wait for him at the gate to reprimand him for bringing his beloved daughter to him at that time of night. Suddenly, he heard sobbing and he couldn't ignore the fact that the girl was crying so he pulled off the road and parked in front of a vacant lot.
"Fanny," he called to her but she didn't answer.
The redhead brushed her hands over her eyes, wiping away her tears, and took a deep breath.
"It's okay, just keep driving." She looked straight ahead and adjusted the seatbelt she had forgotten to put on.
"Do you want to talk about that"
"Drive!" she yelled at him elatedly.
"No. Let's talk." He turned the key and turned off the engine.
"What are you doing? We're already late and my dad will kill you."
"I don't think the Boss wants me to leave her daughter at her house and see her crying like that." Fanny she mentally cursed him because he was right. She couldn't get home in that state.
"Fanny look at me," he asked and after a few moments the girl gave in and looked at him. "You were always stubborn, rude, bossy and you may exaggerate and have a worse temper than my grandfather's in the asylum, but I don't see anyone else in the position you held other than you. Maybe you lose friends for being who you are and demanding that things be done right, but someone has to do the dirty work. Not everyone has the character to be a fair leader and see that the rules are followed."
"What do you know about that?" The girl asks as she wipes away her tears again. She couldn't believe that what Nigel told her would affect her so much.
"Trust me, I know that well. Did you ever think that the arctic base commander had friends? I had to be strict and severe with my cadets so that they would pay attention to me and learn the lesson well. I had to always demand 200% if they wanted to be part of KND, I needed them to take it seriously and not see it as a game. Now tell me, what would KND be without us?"
Fanny began to imagine a different scenario where she wasn't promoted to Global Tactical Officer, how many more rules would have been broken if she wasn't there to supervise and assist Rachel in her hard work as her Supreme Leader? How many more would have escaped her clutches by doing the decommissioning of teen turners who were due to leave KND when they turned 13? She also had to admit that the performance of the cadets under Numbuh 60's training improved by 75% compared to the previous commanders. It was true, KND wouldn't have been able to deal with many situations if it wasn't for them and her way of being."
"Don't tell anyone that his comment made me cry and we won't talk about this again, is that clear?"
"Whatever you say, Fanny," he turned on the car again to start it up. He knew that the girl was better when she turned on the radio herself and searched for a station of her choice and began to hum a song.
Very rarely did Wally come to high school early. Not many students had arrived yet, the hallways were empty, and there were plenty of free parking spaces. He wanted to see Kuki before classes started. The thought that he had belonged to KND during her childhood gave him a migraine, but he still wanted to go see her.
First he had to make sure that she was alone, so he went down to the last floors of the lair where the laboratories and the molecular memory tracking machines were located, a machinery that allowed them to see the memories of the person despite having been erased.
However, accessing them took time and the subject submitted to the machine must be completely sedated to avoid brain damage that could be irreversible. Some already had problems and were looking for those mistakes not to be repeated.
He hastily keyed his access code and as the door opened he hurried down the corridors looking through the glass that gave a view into the interior of the labs. He stopped when one of the screens showed a younger version of the other guy who shared the cells with Kuki in the V section wing.
It was a projection of his memories. The door was ajar and he slipped in to get a better look. For some reason it had made him very curious. The teenagers in charge of monitoring Hoagie and that the invasion of his memories didn't go wrong, did not notice the presence of Wally. There were only two of them and they were really focused.
On the screen, a chubby little Hoagie in aviator sunglasses and a beanie could be seen watching himself in a mirror slathering on sunscreen. He was shirtless and wearing a float. Anyone who looked at the image carefully realized that he was getting ready to go for a swim in a pool or on a beach. Next to him another boy appeared and Wally had to cover his mouth to stifle a gasp. That kid looked a lot like his brother, Joey.
"But that's impossible, Joey isn't…Is that me?"
The boy, shorter than Hoagie, was next to him talking to him and seemed to be laughing at whatever he was saying. He took the blocker and put it on his face and chest. The image was distorted and the view changed like when you dive into the water. When he comes to the surface, he sees Hoagie waving his hands and beckoning to the other blond boy who just crossed his arms because he refused to get into the pool.
He knew that place well, it was the back of his house. It was his pool. His house.
"It can't be, that fat kid and I were friends?"
Wally looked down at the desk next to him by the door and saw a yellow folder with the words "Classified File: Sector V 2005" on its cover. He took some sheets that were on the table and placed them inside the folder so that no one would notice that the sheets were missing while he investigated what the hell was going on. He did his best not to make any noise but his hands shook as he switched roles. His vision began to blur and he leaned against the table. He had to get out of there before they noticed someone else in that room.
He slid through the slightly open door without making much noise and then, when he was far enough away, he ran out of the lab area. He was lucky not to meet anyone. He put his hand on the wall and looked up and noticed that he was breathing heavily. Why was he feeling so affected by what he had just witnessed?
Once he calmed down, he entered the elevator and pressed down to the floor where his private office was located. He was walking quickly through the corridors that were still dark since there was no one in the area yet, which he mentally thanked. He entered his code into his office door and when he entered, he locked the door, just to make sure that if someone came to interrupt him, he couldn't get in without prior authorization.
He slumped heavily into his brown leather chair. He took the folded pad of paper out of his jacket and placed it on his desk, but not before slapping everything on top of him that only got in his way.
He opened the stack of papers. The first page said that KND Sector V was in Cleveland and that it used to change places a lot. Their current location was unknown and they had a reputation of either accomplishing all assigned missions in one go or messing everything up for days.
The second sheet impressed Wally. Mainly when realizing that he knew the subject in question that was being described in the document. In one corner, attached with a clip, was a photo of his classmate at the age of 10 and he couldn't believe that a little boy had already gone bald at such a young age. He had glasses too but they were dark.

He stared at Kuki's sheet for a long time, trying to memorize every detail as if he couldn't review the information later. He would probably copy them and return the papers before anyone realized they were gone. He flipped to the next page and was stumped by this.
It was him.

Now Wally was really confused. He had so many questions. He didn't know that he had a supervillain uncle, nor did he know that the nickname of his that he was so proud of came from his time as a kid from KND.
Rage and courage. These feelings washed over him.
"Those damned KND dismissed me like Cree," he slammed his fist down on the desk. He was frustrated at such a revelation. There was still one sheet left on the block and he dropped the rest on the floor, keeping the last one in his hands.

How was it possible that such valuable information had been in this place all this time and he hadn't realized it before?
Although that would make sense of how Cree, with her team, captured the agents that she considered had valuable information and therefore it was necessary to invade their mind. There was something she wanted so badly to get from them, but she didn't tell him about that part of the plan.
Wally looked down at the floor and saw that her blade was next to Kuki's. He picked them up from the ground and looked at them for a long time. Something was there in front of her nose but he couldn't find it.
He felt angry and at the same time fascinated by such a discovery. With this new information, he was going to have a lot of fun.
A.N.: I know what you are thinking. How do they have that information? Please, with all the times the code module was stolen, don't you think they should have backed it up at some point? xD The teenagers in my fic aren't that stupid, at least it wasn't.
