Attacked-Ch 7
JJ and Emily walked into Mercy General Hospital, they flashed their badges to the nurse behind the desk and told them what they were there about and they were taken straight to the victims room. The nurse pushed the door open and the trio stepped into the room, the woman in the bed looked so frail, so pale and it was obvious that he had beaten her up just like he did with Penelope.
He had tried to stab her several times but was only able to cut her on the arms and legs, she required around 80 stitches but would recover from that. The nurse looked down at the resting woman and said, "Sandra this is JJ Reid and Emily Hotchner, they are with the FBI and they would like to talk to you if that's okay"?, she sat up in the bed and said, "yeah, sure".
The nurse said, "if you need anything just let me know", the three woman smiled at her and nodded their heads and then they watched as she disappeared out into the hall. JJ and Emily looked down at her and JJ said, "we are so sorry about what happened to you Sandra and we hate to make you relive that but we need to ask you a few questions".
Sandra said, "what do you want to know, I'll do whatever it takes to catch that sick bastard", Emily said, "can you walk us step by step what happened after you got home"?, she nodded her head and then started filling them in on everything that had happened from the time she got home until after he left her laying in a pool of blood in her bed.
JJ said, "did he say or do anything else"?, Sandra said, "he kept saying over and over that I wasn't as good as Penelope, that's all he kept saying, I don't know what it means but that's what he kept saying". JJ said, "Penelope was the woman he stabbed, beat up and raped before you, she's in the hospital right now, she's in critical condition".
Sandra said, "bless her heart, my prayers are with her", Emily said, "thank you", JJ said, "and don't worry we will have a guard placed outside your door and one will be with you at all times until we catch the man that did this to you and Penelope.
Sandra smiled and said, "thank you and I hope you catch him and the sooner the better, I'd hate to see anybody else go through what I went through with". Emily said, "just get some rest and if you remember anything else please let us know", Sandra nodded her head yes and then watched as the two FBI agents walked out of her room.
As JJ and Emily walked toward the elevator JJ looked at Emily and said, "how is he getting into their apartments, there was no sign of break in at either place so he's somehow getting a key". Emily said, "and Sandra looks a lot like PG, so maybe she's his type, maybe he's going after women that look like and are built like Garcia".
JJ said, "it's starting to look like that, we better get back to Hotch and the others and fill them in on what Sandra said", Emily nodded her head yes as the two stepped onto the elevator. Meanwhile across town at the BAU Hotch, Dave and Reid are still looking over the tapes and pictures of the crime scene when they are pulled from their thoughts by a knock on the door.
Hotch said, "come in", the door opened to reveal a young man with dark hair, Dave said, "Jennings isn't it"?, the man stepped forward and said, "yes sir, Bryan Jennings, I was told to give you this" as he handed Dave an envelope containing pictures from Sandras apartment.
Dave said, "thank you, these are pictures from our latest crime scene", Bryan said "if their is anything else that I can do please let me know", Dave smiled at the man and said, "thank you Jennings. The man smiled at them and then walked out of the room and headed down the hall toward his desk and as he sat down he glanced back up at the agents and thought, "fools you'll never figure out it's me, never" and he snickered as he started working on his paperwork.
