Attacked-Ch 8

Hotch looked up when he saw JJ and Emily walking into the room, Reid looked up hopeful and said, "well what was the victim able to tell you"?, JJ said, "well first I think I know what the rapists type is"?, Dave said, "you do"?, JJ nodded her head and said, "our newest victim looks very very similar to PG".

Dave said, "so our boy likes women that look like kitten"?, Emily said, "yes" and then her and JJ continued by filling the guys in on everything that the victim had told them. When they were done Dave said, "so we have a sly one here, he somehow manages to get his hands on a key to the girls apartments and goes in and makes himself at home while he waits on them to arrive home".

Reid said, "we'll need to get an analyst to cover for Garcia, we need them to do a deep dive on Penelope and our newest victims", JJ said, "victims, did you say victims, so their is another one"?, Hotch said, "well this one wasn't so lucky, he strangled her" and he hit a few keys on the keyboard and several pictures of another blond that looked similar to Garcia appeared on the screen.

Emily said, "so why did he kill this one"?, Reid said, "you can tell by the marks around her neck that he was choking her as he assaulted her but something tells me that he was getting off on the thrill of strangling her and went a little too far" and Hotch nodded his head and said, "he's showing remorse here" as he pointed to a picture that showed he covered her with a sheet and cleaned up the area.

JJ said, "anything new on Garcie"?, Reid shook his head and said, "no, nothing yet" and JJ and Emily sighed as they sat down at the table and watched as Hotch pulled out his cell to get them another analyst to look up information on the three victims.

At the hospital Fran looked at her exhausted son and said, "honey, why don't you go get some rest on that cot, I promise that if anything changes I'll wake you". Derek said, "I can't leave her ma, I need to be here for her" and Fran said, "what good are you going to be to her if you are worn out when she wakes up"?, Derek opened his mouth and Fran said, "no back talk now go lay down on that cot and I'll wake you if anything changes".

Derek kissed Penelope on the forehead and said, "I'm going to be right over here sweetness but momma will be right here, right by your side". He then sighed and turned around and walked over to the cot, he laid down and in a matter of a few minutes he was sleeping peacefully knowing that his baby girl wasn't alone.

Fran reached out and took Penelopes hand and said, "sweetie you need to wake up, we all miss and need you, especially that one over there, he loves you so much". She opened her mouth to say something else and that's when she felt Penelope's hand squeeze hers, she said, "Penelope if you can hear me squeeze m hand again".

After a few seconds Penelope squeezed her hand again, Fran looked over her shoulder and said, "Derek, wake up, she squeezed my hand, she squeezed my hand". His eyes flew open and he jumped from the bed and ran over to her bedside and said, "really, she really squeezed your hand"?, Fran nodded her head and said, "here sit down and talk to her and I'll go get a nurse".

Derek sat down and took her hand in his and said, "it's me sweetness, can you hear me"?, Penelope squeezed his hand and he said, "that's wonderful, I'm so glad baby girl, so so glad". He then brought her hand up to his lips and kissed it and said, "I love you Penelope Grace Garcia, I love you with every fiber of my being and I always will".

The nurse and doctor came into the room and Derek and Fran were asked to step out for a few minutes so they could do a quick check on Penelope to see how she was doing. Out in the hall Derek hugged his mom and said, "ohhhh please let this mean that she's going to be waking up soon, please, please, please".

Fran grinned and said, "she can hear us, that's definitely a good sign honey", Derek nodded his head and said, "I hope that things are going good for the others, I hope they are getting closer to finding that sick bastard that hurt Penelope" and Fran nodded her head yes in agreement as they stood in the hall waiting on news from the doctor.
