A/N: Dash and Sally are Howl Of A Werewolf's characters.

It hadn't taken the police too long to show up and question everyone as Gary stayed by Carly's side, holding her and letting her rest her head on his right shoulder.

"We're gonna find out who did this, Carly." Gary whispered as Carly held a picture that was broken in half… a picture of her and her siblings that was taken just weeks before they were separated from each other.

Having moved from downtown Los Santos a few months earlier, Dash Lucia was walking around.

She had been kicked out of her last school for causing trouble and it wasn't long after being she quickly befriended Jimmy and Russell, who had saved Dash from an infuriated Trent.

Dash hadn't moved here alone, living with her older sister Sally and both had found jobs, Sally working as a receptionist in the Happily Ever After bridal shop and Dash working as a housekeeper in the Golden Horseshoe hotel.

Dash often complained about how she wanted to be in Liberty City instead of Bullworth, but Sally had explained that Bullworth was the only place they could afford for now.

"This place is a depressing hellhole. " Dash muttered to herself as she walked past the school and saw Gary calming Carly down.

'Just walk away, Dash.' She thought as she wasn't the most sympathetic of people at times.

But as she turned towards the bus stop, she yelled out in shock as she was almost tackled.

Tad screamed in fright and jumped back once he saw her. Her raven hair was slightly messy and she had an old beanie hat on her head despite it being really hot out. He remembered seeing her black nail polish, lipstick, and tattoos when she was throwing Derby out of the bar of the Golden Horseshoe when he had been arguing with Pinky a few days earlier.

"Watch where you're going!" Dash retorted, stubbornly refusing his hand pulling herself up and pulling herself up, brushing her hands against her KISS: Hot In The Shade Tour tank top and Tad seeing her fingerless leather gloves.

"Sorry. Everyone's a little on edge." Tad responded in a timid manner.

"Just be careful, alright? Go on, get out of here." Dash replied as she was still annoyed.

Tad ran off without another word and Dash saw Jimmy walk over.

"Jimmy, what the hell happened?! You said you defeated the bullies." Dash responded.

"That's the problem, they're like weeds. Even with Gary turning a new leaf there's still reasons I need to keep both eyes open. I know you can handle yourself but you should still do the same Dash. Especially with your sister needing you." Jimmy explained before they saw Carly and Gary on the steps and Carly brushing tears away."I don't get it, who would destroy something that's sentimental to her though?" He asked.

"She kind of looks familiar..." Dash responded quietly.

"She's from Los Santos… her name's Carly, she was removed from her home by Child Protective Services." Jimmy explained, Dash's eyes widening as they walked over and Carly looked up.

"You look familiar…" Carly responded as she and Gary stood up.

"I think we might've met before in Los Santos but I can't remember when." Dash replied before they heard a door slam and turned towards a building.

Derby stormed out of it and over towards the Boys dorm… and Dash turned to Carly.

"I'm not surprised he's still here. He asked my sister out on a date once, she turned him down and then he got Bif and Chad to humiliate her. This happened weeks ago." Dash explained quietly as Carly remembered seeing Derby with a black eye a few days after the 4th of July.

"What the hell happened to you?" Carly asked as she stood up from the porch swing, Derby looking at her.

"Don't worry about it." Derby responded in a rough voice before he stormed into the house… and Carly looked in through the window to see him grab an ice pack and she saw tears in his eyes.

Carly was about to walk into the house when she felt a hand on her right wrist and saw Gord, who leaned in to kiss her… and Carly backed away, carefully stopping him as he was drunk.

"Just sit down, Gord. I'll go get you some water." Carly replied before she helped him sit down and went into the house to go get a bottle of water for him… she walked into the kitchen, grabbed three bottles of water from the fridge and quickly handed a bottle of water and two Aleve capsules to Derby as Life's What You Make It by Talk Talk played on the radio.

"Take those and keep the ice on your eye." Carly responded, Derby doing so before Carly took the other two bottles of water outside.

She opened one for Gord and the other for herself before they slowly drank them.

"Lola rejected me for Chad!" Gord replied as tears ran down his face, Carly lightly brushing his tears away and resting her right hand on the side of his face before they hugged.

"Whatever he has at the moment won't keep her satisfied for long." Carly whispered as she kept his head rested on her right shoulder.

Looking outside from where he was, Derby narrowed his eyes in anger…

"Carly?"

Carly snapped out of her memory and Dash saw the startled look on her face.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." Dash responded.

"It's okay. This summer has been one to remember for many reasons." Carly replied, Dash nodding before Carly and Gary left with their backpacks… and Dash turned to Jimmy.

"She's starting to piece things together from that weekend." Jimmy replied.

"She is. It'll all start to become clearer to her." Dash responded. 'And whatever conclusion she draws from the pieces she puts together won't be changed.' She thought.

In one of the hallways of the main building, Gary and Carly sat down on the steps.

"After Derby got home, Gord showed up there drunk that night, trying to kiss me after Lola rejected him. I backed away and helped him sit down before I grabbed some water for us and Aleve for Derby. I don't know why I didn't press him for more information on what happened." Carly explained as Gary rested his right hand on her left one.

"Because you didn't think he had been mean because he got rejected too. In all honesty, he should know better than to act how he did." Gary responded as his right hand rested on the left side of her face as Invisible Touch by Genesis played from the admin office.

Gary leaned in and the two kissed as their arms wrapped around each other, their eyes closing as they relaxed.

They were oblivious to Chad taking a picture of them before he left and took the camera to the nearest class once the picture was developed.

Finding the scanner, Chad smirked as he made copies of it.

'Now everyone will know what kind of girl you really are, Caroline!' Chad thought before he left with the multiple copies of the photo and placed the original in his pants pocket.

He wasn't taking too kindly to the group starting to fall apart... and he was determined to make her suffer.
