Steve could not believe this happened. His secret Avengers were investigating strange happenings in Norway where an alien object had been found.
They had been operating in secret for 6 months now. Natasha had joined them a few weeks later after everything happened.
Natasha and Wanda had extracted the object when it had exploded.
And now they had two toddlers who were their teammates.
Steve looked down at the small redhead who was sleeping in his arms. Natasha couldn't be more than 3. Sam had Wanda. Wanda had snuggled up to Sam and had fallen asleep in his arms.
Steve couldn't deny, they were cute. But all of them were fugitives and this could make them vulnerable. Plus none of them knew about Wanda's and Natasha's childhood, although neither had asked for their parents yet.
Steve wished Maria was here. But their relationship had broken away when he stood with the accords they had been going 3 years strong and she had helped him through the hard times and him through hers.
Maria was still working for Tony but he knew she would still help and so would Tony because he knew they couldn't keep Wanda and Natasha as they were, it was dangerous and they needed stability and Steve couldn't provide that. Steve had calls that he didn't want to make but he had to for them he had to.
