July 8th 2007…
Opening her eyes, Carly looked up and sat up carefully before Gord placed a cup of coffee in her hands and she thanked him before slowly drinking it.
"No problem. Thanks for helping me sober up last night… and for not slapping me when I tried to kiss you." Gord replied.
The two drank their coffees before the phone on Carly's nightstand rang… and she carefully picked it up and answered it.
"Hello?" Carly responded.
"You sound terrible, kiddo."
"CJ?!" Carly replied as she smiled slightly.
"Yeah, I'm outside. Some blonde haired guy won't let me in to see you." CJ explained before Carly heard Derby yelling in the background, Carly sitting up and putting her slippers on.
"I'll be downstairs soon." Carly responded before they hung up and she stood up and she and Gord walked downstairs, Carly pulling her satin robe on and tying it.
She walked outside and ran to the gate, putting the keycode in and she and CJ hugged tightly.
"It slipped my mind that a friend from San Andreas was visiting. I'm sorry." Derby replied before he walked into the house and Carly and CJ let go.
"I've missed you." Carly responded.
"I've missed you too, Carly. I'm sorry it took a while for me to find out where you were sent to." CJ explained before they saw a picture and Carly walked over and immediately ripped it down. "Who would do something this cruel?!" He asked after seeing the picture before Carly threw it away.
"I'm gonna go get ready for the day and we'll find the other pictures." Carly responded before she went back into the house and CJ waited.
After she got ready and left with CJ, Derby turned back to Gord.
"What the hell happened last night?" Gord asked.
"To be honest, I can't remember." Derby responded as his mind was fuzzy.
Derby couldn't remember why he had been drinking… but Gord had a feeling that Derby had been rejected by an older lady…
Present time, August 13th 2007…
Run Like Hell by Pink Floyd played from a nearby radio as Carly and Gary were stretched out on the bed in Carly's dorm room, Carly singing quietly as a distraction and Gary smiling slightly.
"Good memories are attached to songs like this." Gary responded quietly as they held each other.
"They are. It used to drive my older sister crazy whenever I listened to Pink Floyd. Until she listened to Comfortably Numb… the days before everything went to hell, she and I got along." Carly replied as Gary lightly rubbed her back.
"It hurts to be separated from family members, ones that didn't hurt you." Gary whispered, Carly knowing that he didn't like being unable to talk to his grandparents.
After a while, the two let go of each other and Carly looked at her nails.
'Why was I talked into wearing this color? It's pretty but I need something different as summer fades away.' Carly thought before she found her nail kit… and Gary saw an unopened bottle of Gash's Orchid Valley, a bold orchid purple polish.
"Give it a try." Gary responded encouragingly, Carly smiling before they kissed.
A half hour later, her nails were fixed up and she had waited until they were fully dry before washing and drying her hands as Gary turned the radio on and Rock And Roll Dreams Come Through by Meat Loaf played and they held each other and slow danced to it.
Gary spun Carly and himself around as they laughed and he stopped spinning them around as they kissed.
Both of them groaned as they heard her phone buzz and opened their eyes, letting go and Carly checking her phone… and seeing a text from Alexandra.
'Hi, kiddo. The dress shop called, it's time to go try on some dresses for the vow renewal. You find someone to invite yet?'
'I did. He's been really nice to me since we met.' Carly responded.
'Alrighty. I'm waiting outside for you two, Derby left already to go find a tux.' Alexandra replied.
'We'll be there soon.' Carly responded before she applied cuticle oil and massaged it into her cuticles before applying hand lotion and setting both closed items aside, Gary turning the radio off as they grabbed their phones and Carly grabbing her tote bag and putting a spare change of clothes into it before they left the Girls dorm.
They met up with Alexandra, who smiled when she saw that they looked happier. The three got into the car and Alexandra carefully drove off once they buckled up, sewing Gary put his right arm around Carly.
'Nice to see her smile and that he's adjusting well to being out of that awful asylum.' Alexandra thought.
After reaching Happily Ever After bridal shop, the three walked in and saw Sally.
"Stupid dress, get on there." Sally muttered as she was trying to get a dress onto a hanger without ripping it. She didn't want this job, but it was all there was. She wasn't wearing her backwards baseball hat today and was wearing a light blue slightly oversized dress with short puff sleeves.
A year ago, she wouldn't have worn it but she liked how it kept her from getting overheated in the late summer heat.
This Must Be Love by Phil Collins was playing from an old radio after California Love by Tupac had stopped. Sally smiled as she saw Carly, Gary and Alexandra.
"Hi, Sally." Alexandra replied.
"Hello. Pinky and Mandy are already trying on dresses." Sally responded before she saw a merlot strapless maxi dress with a fitted bodice and high slit and pulled it off of the rack for Carly to try on before going and finding a pair of light pink stilettos.
Carly looked in the dressing room mirror before she exited the dressing room and Alexandra smiled in approval before she went to talk to Sally and Carly and Gary kissed.
"It is going to take some practice walking in these shoes." Carly whispered as they smiled.
A few dressing rooms away, Pinky and Mandy smiled at each other.
"Sally's got an idea to humble Derby. You in?" Pinky whispered, Mandy smirking before she grabbed her phone.
'Hey Beatrice, you up for humiliating Derby?' Mandy texted.
A few seconds later, Beatrice responded.
'Count me in.'
Back at Bullworth, Beatrice looked at her much smoother face in the mirror… her cold sores had been gone for months thanks to the correct medication but she hated that Derby had spread terrible rumors about her despite the fact that she had been born with HSV.
She no longer wore glasses, replaced them with contact lenses, changed her hairstyle and started dressing differently but Derby still made her feel insecure.
'It's your turn to feel terrible about yourself, you prick!' Beatrice thought as she smirked.
She threw away the shredded pictures she had found earlier... there was not going to be anymore humiliation towards anyone who didn't deserve it.
September 8th 2007…
A cool breeze greeted Carly as she opened her dorm room window and Gary greeted her with a kiss after he climbed into the room, his tux and leather shoes ready and Carly looking at her dress that was still in the garment bag.
"Just an hour left before the party bus gets here. Beatrice, Sally and the others are ready to put the plan underway." Gary responded after Carly finished applying her makeup and used a setting spray to set it.
Having used Gash's Autumn Leaves for a manicure last night, Carly glanced at the muted brown on her now longer oval shaped nails and briefly pulled her hair back… and Gary was slightly startled to see princess cut stud earrings in her ears, the gemstone being garnet.
"I lost a game of Truth Or Dare last night so I went through with Pinky's dare." Carly admitted after they kissed.
"Thankfully you didn't have to play Never Have I Ever last night. Hattrick is pissed off about his windshield being broken, Galloway went off after the latest threat." Gary responded before they laughed.
"I hope someone caught that on camera." Carly replied before they got dressed for the wedding.
They grabbed what they needed and met up with the others, getting onto the party bus... and Carly felt a bit out of place after seeing that most of the girls were wearing either light pink or blue dresses.
But that didn't last long after she saw Beatrice, Pinky and Mandy wearing red dresses and makeup that complimented their outfits... and she saw a text from Dash.
'Derby thinks he's getting a second chance with Sally... he doesn't know what he's really in for.'
Carly took some Aleve as Gary had seen that she had put extra pads in her purse earlier... and he lightly massaged her shoulders to get her to relax before she smiled and they kissed.
At the church, the kids looked around and Derby saw Carly and Gary kissing.
Little did he know that his aggravation was just beginning.
