Attacked-Ch 15
Bryan kept to his work at the BAU and as a guard for Penelope that way he could be close to her without anybody knowing that he was the one that had viscously attacked and raped her. Penelope was still recovering and was due to get the tube removed from her side this morning, a fact that thrilled the healing woman.
As the search for her attacker continued they were still no closer than they were before, a fact that thrilled Bryan beyond belief and working close to the team he would be kept up to speed on any information about that case which would help him keep his identity hidden from everybody.
Penelope was currently sleeping and Bryan was standing outside her door talking to Derek, everything was going great and Grace was suppose to come in any time now and take the tube out that was hindering her from getting up out of the bed. Penelope was sore and it hurt so much for her to move so she tried to keep as still as possible as to not dislodge the tubing that was sticking out from her side.
Grace smiled as she walked up to Penelope's door, she looked at Derek and said, "how is she doing"?, Derek said, "she's sleeping right now but she is very anxious to get that tube out, she's been talking about maybe going for a walk". Grace said, "well then let me get in there and get that tube out of her, now she won't be able to go for a walk today but maybe tomorrow but with moderation" and Derek nodded his head as he watched her disappear into the room and shut the door behind her.
She walked over to the bed and said, "Penelope, it's me, it's Grace, I'm here to remove that tube from your side", her eyes opened and she smiled and said, "that's great news, this tube although helped re-inflate my lung it is a pain to have because I can't move around on the bed without fear that I will do something to it".
Grace set up everything that she needed and said, "well then let's get that tube out of there then", Penelope nodded her head and laid and rested as Grace went to work on removing that pesky tube. A few minutes later the tube was out and her side was bandaged and she was standing there talking to Penelope when her pager went off, she looked at her pager and said, "excuse me Penelope but I have an emergency, if you need anything please let us know".
Penelope nodded her head and said, "thank you Grace", Grace bagged up her garbage and said, "the nurse will be in here in a few minutes to get that machine out of here" and Penelope said, "sure no problems" and she then watched as Grace turned around and headed out of her room leaving the door open so that Derek could come back inside.
He grinned as he walked in and shut the door, as he got closer to her bed he said, "well you look like you are feeling a lot better", she said, "I am, I can't tell you how glad I am to have that tube out of my side". Derek sat down beside her bed and said, "I bet you are sweetness" and she looked at him and said, "earlier you said that we needed to talk, do you want to talk now"?, Derek said, "are you up for a little talk"?, she said, "sure" and sat there waiting for him to begin.
Derek blew out a deep breath and said, "baby girl I" and she said, "you what"?, he said, "I, well I" and she laughed and said, "you've never had trouble talking to me before so what's up with you"?, Derek said, "you remember that you said that you heard everything that we said to you, right"?, she said, "yes, that's right".
He said, "baby girl I'm in love with you, I have been for quite a while but I was afraid", Penelope said, "afraid, afraid of what"?, Derek said, "afraid that I wasn't good enough for you, that I wasn't enough for you". She put her hand on his and said, "that's stupid, you are an amazing man, you are kind, sweet, you have one of the biggest hearts of anybody that I have ever met in my life and of course you are sexy as all get out".
Derek grinned and said, "soooooooo, you think I'm sexy huh"?, she said, "ohhhhhh yes", Derek said, "I was going to tell you how I felt the night that you were, the night that you were attacked". She looked down at her lap and said, "that night he took away so much from me, he took away my will to live, my will to fight, my honor, my pride, he took everything and I don't know if I will ever get it back".
He reached out to touch her and she flinched and he said, "I'm sorry", she said, "don't be, you didn't do anything wrong, it's just that I am afraid, not of you, never of you, I am just afraid to be touched unless I initiate it". Derek said, "I understand but their is something that you need to understand", she looked at him as he said, "I love you and I will do whatever it takes to keep you safe and we will find the man that did this to you and he will pay".
She slowly reached her hand over toward him, she caressed his cheek and said, "I love you hotstuff, I always have and I always always will", he leaned into her touch and smiled lovingly at her. Penelope bit down on her bottom lip as Derek said, "I would really like to kiss you now", she took a deep breath and said, "I would like that too" and she lowered her hand and watched as he leaned in closer and closer to her.
Almost like it was happening in slow motion she watched him get closer and closer to her, she had dreamed of this day happening for so so long and now, now it finally was and then his lips descended on hers. His lips felt amazing on hers, better than she could have ever dreamed of, he was taking his time, he was so gentle with her, so loving and oh so Derek Morgan and almost as soon as the kiss started it was over.
He pulled back and said, "are you okay"?, she said, "I'm more than okay, do you, do you think" and Derek said, "do I think what gorgeous"?, she said, "do you think you can do that again"?, he said, "most definitely". She smiled as he leaned in again and pressed his lips against hers, she slowly raised her arms up and wrapped them around him and as he slowly deepened the kiss she couldn't help but moan.
Now, what they didn't know was that Bryan was watching through the door and he was getting madder and madder the longer he watched so he shut the door and whispered, "enjoy yourself now because soon she will be mine again".
