Attacked-Ch 17

Over the next several days Penelope improved more and more each day as her wounds continued to heal, she also had several sessions with Amelia and that too seemed to help with her emotional healing. She was still guarded with members of the FBI, especially Bryan who did it for selfish purposes, his reasons were to be near the woman he had viscously attacked a couple of weeks earlier.

Penelope still had no idea who it was that attacked her and if she had only known that he was only a few feet away from her this entire time she would have been livid and terrified. Penelope and Amelia had just finished another session and Amelia was walking out of her room when Bryan stepped aside and smiled at her and said, "have a nice day".

Amelia said, "thanks, you too" and just as he reached to close the door Penelope said, "excuse me", he said, "yes" as he stepped into the room and started walking closer to her bed. Penelope said, "I don't think we've ever met I'm Penelope Garcia", he said, "it's nice to meet you Penelope I'm Bryan, Bryan Jennings" as he held out his hand to shake hers.

She smiled and said, "I want to thank you for taking time out of your schedule to guard me, I really appreciate it", Bryan said, 'you are very welcome Penelope, it's no problem at all" as he smiled. The two stood talking for a minute until Derek walked back into the room and said, "thanks for staying with my girl Bryan", he said, "no problem Derek" and turned around and walked back to his post outside her door.

Derek sat down beside her bed and said, "so how was the session with Amelia this morning"?, Penelope said, "good, good, my sessions with her are really helping, I am starting to feel better". Derek said, "that's good sweetness", she bit down on her bottom lip and said, "I have something to ask you", he looked at her and said, ,"you can ask me anything baby girl, surely you know that by now".

Penelope said, "once I get out of here and I am recovered enough I was hoping that you would give me some self defense lessons", he said, "I would be glad to goddess" and she grinned at him and said, "thank you angel fish". She put her hand on top of his and said, "I really want to thank you for everything you've done for me, you are so kind, loving and patient with me and I can't tell you how that makes me feel".

Derek said, "I love you Penelope Grace Garcia, you are the woman that I want to spend the rest of my life with, I want us to get married and have beautiful beautiful babies, I want us to grow old together and I want to wake up every morning with you wrapped in my arms and go to sleep the same way every night for the rest of my life".

Penelope sighed happily and said, "I want that too but that may take a while", he gently squeezed her hand and said, "I will wait forever if that's what it takes, you're it for me baby girl, you're it, you're my one". She looked at him lovingly and said "and you're mine, you always have been and you always always will be Derek" as she intertwined their fingers and they sat there looking lovingly into each others eyes.

After a few minutes Penelope said, "Grace gave me some awesome news earlier", Derek said, "how awesome"?, Penelope said, "I am getting released tomorrow morning, now isn't that awesome"?, Derek said, "oh yes baby girl, that is the best news I've heard in a long time, that is great news".

He looked at her and said, "and when you get out of here I would like it if you would either stay with me at my place or stay with ma and Dave at their place, I don't want you staying at that apartment anymore, not until we find that sick bastard". Penelope nodded her head and said, "your mom asked me yesterday when you were gone to pick up lunch if I would stay with them when I got out of here and I agreed, she can be very convincing ya know"? and they both laughed.

Derek sighed and said, "I'll feel better knowing that you're safe and if it's alright with you I'll be leaving Clooney with you while you're there"?, she said, "of course it's okay, I have missed my boy so much, it seems like forever since I saw him the last time hotstuff". Derek said, "he misses you too, so how about I have Desi and Sarah go pick him up tonight and go ahead and take him to momma and Daves so that he'll be there when you get there"?, she said, "I'd like that".

She blew out a deep breath and said, "what am I going to do about clothes"?, Derek said, "that's already been handled, JJ and Emily will go to your place and grab some clothes for you today and they too will be waiting for you at Casa Rossi". Penelope smiled and said, "I love you, I love you all so much and I don't know what I would do without you" and Derek said, "we're here and we're not going anywhere sweetness".

Little did they know that Bryan was making plans, plans to separate her from not only her hotstuff but the rest of her family forever
