Chapter 7.-New Challenges

Hello guys! I´m so sorry for leaving you abandoned, I didn´t mean to; between work, writing my other stories, taking therapy and processing the loss of my dog Cloudy it´s been a whole mess; plus…I wasn´t feeling inspired to write this fic, but I want to continue this story and end it properly, you guys need to know more about the dynamic of the sisters, well…without any further buckle up and enjoy the ride since this chapter is full of surprises :)

Kara and Marley had spent some quality time together and got to know each other better, plus Kara liked Millie, Marley´s adoptive Mother and whom she raised as her own daughter.

"I´ll never forget our girl time" Kara said as she and Marley walked the hallways of the school the next day. "I had a great time Marley"

"I enjoyed it too" Marley smiled. "what makes me happy is that you could meet my mom, she absolutely adores you"

"Millie is such a sweetheart" Kara commented as she put a han don her little sister´s shoulder. "I´m so glad that she took Good care of you in my abscence"

"aww isn´t this cute?" a voice spoke from behind the girls and they turned around; they discovered Kitty Wilde and Quinn Fabray in their cheerleading uniforms and perfect ponytails. "but if it´s grandma Betty and her twin…pathetic"

"excuse me, don´t you have something better to do than make other people´s lives miserable?" Kara said. "because I´m sure Coach Sylvester won´t like iit if you´re late for practice"

"stay out of this Mary Sue" Kitty said. "this between Honey Boo and us"

"since you are offending my sister it´s my business" commented Kara.

"Kara…just leave it" Marley told her. "they´re not worth it"

"Girls…sorry for the interruption but wants you to go to the auditórium" Kurt and Tina walked over them. "we have rehearsal"

"sure, let´s go" Kara smiled. "Thank you" she entwined her arm with Marley´s. "come on Marley"

Both sisters walked towards the auditórium standing only Kurt and Tina.

"is there any problem ladies?" asked Kurt.

"it´s none of your business" Kitty rudenly said.

"so…if you don´t have nothing to do, then walk away" said Tina. "you´re get in the way"

"whatever freaks" Scoffed Quinn as she and Kitty turne don their heels and left the hallway.

"Tina…that was flawless" smiled Kurt as the asian girl blushed.

"you think?" she asked.

"totally" Kurt smiled. "you put the ice Queens in their place and they left like dogs with their tails between their tails"

"Thank you" smiled Tina.

"let´s go to rehearsal" giggled Kurt as they headed for the auditórium.

Meanwhile in National City, back in D.E.O; Alex, Winn, James and Lucy were still working on the port to return Billy back to his earth; even though he had a great time, he also deeply missed his family.

"How is that portal going?" Hank asked entering the agency and walking over them, Winn was in front of the computer typing.

"some good news" Winn said as he finished typing for a moment. "both Billy and Kara can come back"

"Thank goodness" the teenager sighed in relief. "don´t get me wrong, I really enjoyed being here and…Alex is an awesome babysitter, it´s just that my home is with my family"

"we get that feeling kid" James pats gently Billy´s back.

"well, you didn´t cause any trouble for a fourteen-year old either" Alex laughed and then stared at him solemly. "and don´t worry, you will go home; Victor and Rosa will be so happy t osee you, not to mention that you´ll have something new to tell your siblings"

"yeah" Billy agreed laughing and immediately blushed. "I´ll skip the part where I have a crush on supergirl though"

"you what?!" exclaimed Lucy. "you like Kara? She´s not like ten years older than you?"

"anyway" Winn broke the tension and went straight to the point. "as I was saying…the portal Works and we can get Kara and Billy Back" Billy and Alex exchanged looks; during the short time they had together and her working as a babysitter, she learned to love the teenager like a son."Kara here and Billy to philly"

"that rhymed" Billy whispered smiling and then sighed looking at the adults who had welcomed him during his stay in National City. "how am I going to stay here? It´s just that…I want to go home"

"well the portal is ready so I don´t see a problem with you coming back today" Hank assured him.

"actually…I forgot to mention that it will take Billy six months to return to his earth " Winn added.

"what?!" everyone except Hank screamed in protest.

"Winn, you said the portal worked" Alex protested as she crossed her arms. "so does that mean I´ll see my sister six months later?"

"I´m doing everything I can" Winn said, checking the machine. "I thought creating portals to other worlds was easy but I was wrong"

Billy shook his head, slung his backpack over his shoulder and started to leave.

"if you´ll excuse me" Billy turned around extremely annoyed.

"hey, where do you think you´re going kid?" Hank asked him. "you can´t leave the D.E.O agency without the company of an adult"

"I need to be alone" Billy said and then looked at Winn upset. "Thanks a lot Winn…now thanks to you I´ll never see my family again"

"Billy wait…" Lucy called him but the young boy´d left the room already.

"what did I do now?" Winn protested in confusión.

"well, you just promised Billy that he would go back home" James pointed out. "and we still don´t know if Kara is going to come back too; Alex needs her sister and National City needs Supergirl, Hank can´t pretend to be Kara forever"

"sorry I´m working on it" Winn said.

"it won´t be easy" Alex told the others. "I´ll go see if Billy is okay" she immediately left the agency.

"we only have one thing to do" Hank announced. "call Cisco, he´s the one who can help us"

"Cisco? Barry Allen´s best friend?" Lucy asked.

"He´s a tech savvy" James agreed. "we don´t have another choice guys, we have to fix this mess"

"what we need to focus on is seeing that Kara and Billy get back to wherethey belong safe and sound

" Hank pointed out. "so keep working on that portal"

Said this, the man left so the others could do their work, hopefully with good results this time.

(Billy was walking out the agency straight ahead but feeling nostalgic about his family)

(Some flashbacks start to happen: when Victor and Rosa picked up Billy at the child services, when Darla runs to hug Billy happily, when Billy and Freddy are walking down the school hallways and talking, Billy as Shazam giving his powers to his siblings Mary,Darla,Eugene,Pedro and Freddy and they become a team as adults superheroes by saying the word Shazam, everyone eating at the dining room, Billy finally joins his hand and bless the food, then smiling saying he is staying since he is at his home, everyone gathered at the backyard watching the christmas tree that Victor created for them)

(Billy goes to the park and witnesses some families interacting together; he thinks about his foster family and feels sad)

(During the instrumental; a children throw bread crumbles to feed the ducks at a near lake; Billy smiles sadly and keeps walking until he finds a bench and sit on it)

(Billy doesn't know that Alex is in the park too looking for him; she looks worried until she finds him sitting at the bench and looking at the horizon)

"oh my God Billy" Alex runs towards Billy and hugs him, the teenager hugs her back. "I've been looking for you everywhere. What were you thinking?" Billy's lips start to tremble as his eyes fill with tears, he can't take it anymore and collapses in his babysitter's arms crying. "hey, it's okay" she rubs his back as he cries. "shh; everything's gonna be okay. You will be with your family, I promise"

Back in Lima Ohio, everyone was gathered in the auditorium to start the rehearsal; of course asked Kara to witness the glee club rehearsing for sectionals so it was obvious that she couldn't say no, especiallly since she was going to watch at her little sister.

"why don't we have rehearsal in the choir room ?" Rachel asks as she and Finn walk hand in hand with the rest of the kids. "lately we've been using the auditorium more"

"yeah, I agree with Rachel on this" Finn said; from afar it could be seen that Santana was rolling her eyes; she had enough of watching the Finchel show, or that's how she calls it. "we haven't even got a week's assignment since we've been rehearsing for sectionals"

"Well, if we want to beat Aural Intensity and Vocal adrenaline we have to do our best" Mr. Schuester said as the kids stood in the middle of the stage. "we're going to rehearse "Somebody" from the top; Kurt, Marley, Sebastian, Tina, Brittany, Jake, Amanda and Ryder start first. Remember that this will be the group number"

"wait, what about my solo?" Rachel asked. "I thought I was going to have parts in Somebody, not Brittany" she then looked at the blonde cheerleader. "no offense"

"trust me Berry, I think everyone here agrees that it's not always about you" Santana said. "your voice is so annoying that you give me a headache"

"Mr. Schue gave me thw solo because I'm more talented and I dance better than you" Brittany said. "Britney Spears was my personal mentor at summer camp after Lord Tubbington sent her my audition video"

"guys…enough" said. "let's be a team okay? Rachel…you're going to have youe solo but not in the group number"

"you'll do a beautiful rendition of "I'm alive" Amanda comforted her friend. "that's my favorite song from Celine Dion"

"aww thanks Mandy" Rachel smiled. "that made me feel better" she then looked at her teacher. "okay, that's fair. I will sing that masterpiece from Celine Dion and everyone else will sing in the background"

"Rach, come on" Finn told her.

"I don't get why are you dating her Frankenteen" Santana spoke again. "she is a selfish bitch"

"Santana" Marley spoke. "don't be rude, Rachel is my best friend"

"I was being sarcastic" Santana shrugged. "gee, some people are so touchy"

"chill out Rizzo" Puck told the Latina.

"don't make me slap you across the face Puckerman" she replied back.

"stop fighting right now and focus on the rehearsal" scolded them. "we have guests here and is disrespectful that you kill each other in front of Marley's sister. I don't want to hear any single argument during rehearsal, is that clear?"

The teenagers nodded as the band entered frrom the backstage and took their posittion to start the rehearsal for sectionals.

"okay" clapped. "let's get started!

(The band start playing "Somebody by Sigala as New Directions start rehearsing for sectionals as if they were in the competition, singing in harmony and the most talented dancers: Brittany, Mike, Jake and Santana lead the dancing. Kara sitting next to her sister's teacher and watching the rehearsal)

(A pretty brunette girl was passing by and curiously entered the auditorium; she was captivated with glee club but what caught her attention was the short brunette Jewish girl who was dancing with the group; it was her idol Rachel Berry. Shyly she sat on the back seat to watch the performance with a big smile on her face; the group was so talented)

rehearsal ended and Mr. Schuester and Kara clapped; from a few seats furthers back the girl was still there, she stood up and clapped from the amazing performance, Rachel and Marley noticed that she was in the auditorium and had watched the entire performance.

shyly, the brunette left to avoid getting caught, however she was seen.

It turned out that the girl was Olivia Michaels, she had moved from Salt Lake Utah because of her dad´s job and now she was studying at McKinley High, she was a sophomore, she loved music and she kept a personal journal where she wrote songs, in her spare time, Olivia practiced the ukelele and played the piano.

Since entered into her new school for the first time, Olivia was fascinated to see Rachel Berry, the co-captain of the glee club; not in a romantic manner of course, it was actually like a fan/celebrity relationship and saw her as her role model.

so she decided to sneak into the choir rehearsal and witnessed everything, but it was an excuse to see Rachel up close, plus the idea of everyone singing in a group semmed like a lot of fun and would´ve given her a chance to get into the glee club.

Olivia was looking at her class schedule when Kitty Wilde and Quinn Fabray walked over her with curiosity.

"Hi, you must be the new girl, right?" Quinn commented with a false kindness, Olivia looked up, in front of her were two blonde cheerleaders, so pretty.

"yes, um...I´m Olivia" Olivia smiles shyly as she reaches out her hand to shake it with them. "Olivia Michaels" Kitty didn´t want to shake her hand and looked at her with contempt, Olivia took the hint clearing her throat and decided to focus on her schedule.

"Do you want to join the cheerios?" asked Quinn as she twriled her ponytail. "you seem to be athletic and we need someone at the bottom of the pyramid"

"actually I´m thinking of joing the glee club" Olivia Said putting her schedule in her backpack and shutting her locker. "cheerleding is not my thing, I feel like it´s so superficial"

"what? are you going to join the freak circus and not be a cheerleader?" Kitty said horrorized. "Literally that´s social suicide"

"now what I´m think...I don´t think you should come with us" Quinn hissed. "Nobody wants a girl who dresses as a grandmother in our gruop" Olivia sadly looks down at her pink sweater and then looks at them.

"the strongest survive in this world child" Kitty added. and if you have that look of Bambi seeing his dead mother, you don´t beling here" Olivia´s eyes fill with tears.

"aww look at the baby" Quinn scoffed. "she´s crying, what are you going to do? call your mommy?"

"you don´t know who I am" Olivia said with a lump in her throat.

"actually...we can make a solution to your clothes" Kitty said snapping her fingers, in a matter of seconds the football team joined them with slushies in their hand. "boys...show Olivia what happens when someone is weak"

"And make sure you cool her off" Quinn continued with a sweet smile as she and Kitty cross their arms.

The players threw all their slushies over Olivia soaking her from head to toe; she closed her eyes tightly because of the ice that was burning, everyone started laughing at her and then left her alone in the middle of the hallway.

From afar, Rachel and Marley had left the auditorium towards their class and watched in horror as an inocent soul was once again victim of the slushy attack.

"How the hell am I going to come back in six months?" Kara spoke on the phone. "what did you do now Winslow Shott Junior?!"

"please Kara don´t yell at me" Winn asked her on the other end of the phone, Kara sighed as she leaned in the wall, Winn started pacing back and forth in his apartment. "I have days without sleep, Billy ran away, your sister is looking for him and the worst thing is that everyone blames me"

"sorry I didn´t mean to yell at you" Kara apologized. "what do you mean Billy left? he´s a teenager. you can´t leave him alone, much less in a city he doesn´t know. National City isn´t Philadelphia"

"Kara, don´t underestimate Billy Batson" Winn told her. "The kid is more clever than a fox, he ran away from 23 foster homes and tricked two police officers into locking them in the pawn shop, not to mention breaking into the conty databse to search his mom"

"Winn I´m serious" Kara said adjusting her glasses. "Billy needs to get back to his family because they must be missing him and wondering where he is; as for me, I don´t think Jonn wants to cover me forever. and even though I love Marley, she´s my little sister and I enjoyed spending time with her, I can´t risk losing my job at and...my duty as Supergirl is to keep National City safe"

"I know that" Winn said. "don´t worry you and Billy will come back where you belong"

"I hope so" Kara said as she smiled. "look, if you fix this mess, I´ll buy you some Noona´s buiscuits. my theat"

"deal" Winn smiled. "I´ll call you back, wants to see me"

"good luck" Kara said. "well...bye Winn"

"bye" Winn said hanging up the phone and leaves his apartment.

(Olivia walks down the halls sadly after getting bullied, her eyes filled with tears, she goes to the bathroom, grabs some toiler paper to clean herself)

(Olivia quickly changes into a clean shirt, throws her sweater in the trash can and tearfully dries her hair with the toilet paper; Rachel and Marley enter the bathroom and listens to her singing but they also see that the girl is vulnerable)

(a single tear roll down Olivia´s cheek as she quicly wipes it with her hand, looks up and stares herself at the mirror

"Hey, are you okay?" Marley asked Olivia, she gasped when she realized that she was not alone in the bathroom and there were the girls who rehearsed in the auditorium a while ago. "it´s okay, don´t panic. we´re not going to hurt you"

"we just witnessed what those awful Barbies did to you" Rachel said sadly. "I brought you dry clothes, it´s mine but I hope it fis you. I always keep some in my locker just in case" Olivia looked at Rachel as she saw an angel descend from heaven in all its splendor. "come on, take it" the girl took it shyly.

"um...Rach I think she´s in shock" Marley said to her best friend and then looked at the brunette. "it´s okay, I´m Marley Rose and this is Rachel Berry"

"Rachel Berry..." Olivia whispered as she continued to look at the jewish girl.

"are you the girl who was in the auditorium watching our rehearsal?" Marley asked again as Olivia nodded.

"I´m sorry...I don´t mean to be rude" Olivia finally spoke as a big smile appeared on her beautiful face. "it´s just...I can´t believe I´m looking at my idol" Marley looked at Rachel smiling.

"Rachel you have a fan" Marley smiled as Olivia and Rachel shared looks.

"I would hug you but I don´t want to ruin your clothes Olivia said. "Oh my gosh, Rachel you are amazing. I...I aspire to be like you someday...I also use the gold stars as a metaphor and I love Funny Girl like you, Barbra Streisand is a legend playing Fanny"

"I thought Amanda was like me but I was wrong" Rachel whispered and then smiled shaking her hand with the brunette. "hi, it´s so nice to meet you, your name is Olivia Michaels"

"how do you know my name?" Olivia said in shock but still smiling. "I was about to introduce myself"

"it´s in your backpack" Marley told her. "hey, don´t listen to Quinn and Kitty, they like to torture others but they´re actually an old hags" Olivia chuckles. "I think you´re talented"

"when you sang a little while ago it was lovely" Rachel said. "if you change your mind...you can still join the glee club"

"oh my God, ¿seriously?" Olivia asked. "I didn´t mean to intrude in your rehearsal but I think you guys are awesome"

"well...here´s the music sheets" Marley said handing her some papers. "we´ll be waiting for you in the auditorium in twenty minutes"

"thank you so much" Olivia smiled. "I´m going to hug you now, okay?"

"come here" Marley chuckled as she and Rachel hugged the sophomore girl, she hugged the tightly and then left the bathroom, Olivia quickly change her clothes and look presentable for her audition.

"where have you been?" Finn asked looking at his girlfriend and her friend. "oh I see, uh...Marley, Kara is looking for you" he rubs his nape nervously.

"okay" Marley said as she left Finn and Rachel alone in the hallway.

"hey babe" Rachel smiled as she gives her handsome boyfriend a peck on the lips.

"I missed you" Finn said kissing her again.

"you saw me a few minutes ago in the auditorium Finn" Rachel laughed and then looked surprised. "call me crazy but...I think a mini me will audition for glee club"

"what?" Finn looked at her confused.

"a poor new girl named Olivia Michaels was the victim of Quinn Fabray and Kitty Wilde" Rachel rolled her eyes. "if I saw you dating any of them I would totally freaking out"

"baby, I don´t want anyone but you" Finn calmed her rubbing her arms. "you´re the only girl for me"

"but I´m not popular or even the perfect blonde girl" Rachel looked down.

"I don´t care" Finn said. "I fell in love with you, and you are beautiful, compassionate and sing like an angel. sometimes you act like a diva but...that´s how I like you"

"I love you too" Rachel said as they hug.

"by the way, what do you mean that a mini you is going to audition for New Directions?" Finn asked. "you just mentioned a girl named Olivia"

"yeah, that´s her that I´m talking about" Rachel continued. "Olivia has some similarities with me, she also uses gold stars, has an incredible voice and...her favorite movie is Funny Girl"

"well, maybe that´s a huge coincidence" Finn pointed out. "or maybe you have a fan that sees you as her role model, like the episode in Lizzie McGuire where a freshman girl admires Lizzie so much that one day she dresses, talks and acts like her"

"until Lizzie had enough and the girl ends up following Kate Sanders´s footsteps" Rachel said. "look Finn, this has never happened to me, it´s amazing and weird at the same time and...Olivia is so sweet, of course I´m happy that she wants to join glee, it´s just that...I´m scared that she´s more talented than me"

"at least give her a chance Rach" Finn said. "I think Olivia has a lot to contribute to the glee club, and if she sees you as a role model, you should give her your support" he takes her hand. "come on, let´s go to the auditorium"

"what´s up?" Marley asked her sister. "Finn told me you wanted to talk to me"

"actually yes, can we find an empty room?" Kara asked looking everywhere.

"The bleachers" Marley said. "but Kara, can´t you wait? a new girl is about to audition for glee club"

"this is important Marls" Kara said gently. "don´t worry, already knows"

"okay" Marley said. "come on, but I have to warn you that at this time the football team is practicing on the field"

"it´s a good distraction" Kara said looking her arm with her sister and both left the hallways to sit on the bleachers and talk in private.

"why did call us again?" asked Artie as he wheeled inside the auditorium. "rehearsals are done for now"

"I have no idea" Mike said. "maybe we´re going to rehearse another song from the repertoire; us boys are going to sing "Dynamite" by BTS"

"I never thought we´d sing a Korean boy band hit" Artie commented.

"tell me about it" Mike said.

"where is Marley?" Amanda asked.

"she had a family emergency" Mercedes replied.

"How is that Marley has an older sister and she´s her identical twin at the same time?" Brittany asked. "did they use a cloning machine that Santa Claus brought them for Christmas"

"she´s not serious" Jake said.

"leave Brittany alone" Santana told Jake.

"allright guys, there´s a new girl auditioning for the glee club" Mr. Schuester announced.

"I only ask that the girl is not another Rachel Berry, with one we have enough" said Santana.

"Babe, is that your dress?" Finn asks Rachel as she nods.

"the poor girl had no clothes since the witches ruined them" Rachel explained. "it´s the least I could do for her"

Olivia walked to the stage looking at everyone, she was wearing the dress Rachel lent her (a the blue one with white draws on it) and her hair was down.

"I think your wish didn´t come true Santana" Kurt told the latina.

"No me gusta" protested Santana.

"you can start Olivia" encouraged the girl.

"hi um...my name is Olivia Michaels and I´m going to sing "King of anything" by Sara Barellies" Olivia said loud and clear.

("King of anything by Sara Barellies starts playing, Olivia confidently grabs the microphone and sings beautifully, the glee members are amazed but Rachel feels nervous and jealous)

[Olivia]

(New Directions cheer for Olivia, even Santana; Rachel feels uncomfortable on her seat)

"woo!" everyone cheered as they got up and give Olivia a standing ovation, "¿a new star of glee club?" Rachel thought horrorized; but with a small smile still decided to show her support and clapped at her.

"Olivia...wow" chuckled . "that was awesome"

"thank you" smiled Olivia.

"welcome to the glee club!" announced as everyone kept celebrating that they got a new member; Olivia smiled widely and gave Rachel a smile as a thank you, she smiled back at the girl but inside felt that her spotlight would be stolen very soon.

Kara and Marley were sitting on the bleachers watching the football practice, however both sisters had other things to think about.

"I don´t get it" Marley said confused. "I thought you were going to stay forever"

"I have a job Marley, and a whole city depends on me" Kara told her. "even thought I want to be here I belong to National city, sadly Krypton was destroyed; I am Supergirl and I can´t let people down. I have to keep the city safe"

"I get it" Marley said sadly. "It´s just that I was so happy to reunite with my sister"

"me too kiddo, you have no idea" Kara told her. "but…this summer you can stay with me and that´s how I introduce you to my friends and Alex"

"I´d love that" Marley smiled as she and Kara shared a hug. "and how will you get back home?"

"I don´t know yet" Kara said. "my friend Winn is supposed to be working on a portal that will take me to National City, only there were some glitches and…he´s working on fixing it"

"can´t you just fly?" Marley asked her. "so that you´ll be there already"

"I can´t risk other people finding out who I am" Kara told her. "for now it was just Finn and Rachel but…I don´t trust other people" she stared at her sister and took her hands in hers. "Marley Rose, no matter what happens, promise me you won´t tell anyone that I´m Supergirl"

"you have my word Kara Danvers" Marley replied solemnly. "or should I say…Kara Zor-El?"

"you are a good sister" Kara said and hugged her beloved younger sister tightly again, sharing an emotional moment.

Although Kara hadn´t left Lima Ohio, she knew that when she returned home she would deeply miss Marley, just like Marley herself that she´d finally found her missing piece to the puzzle.

Olivia was putting some books inside her locker when walked over her.

"excuse me, Olivia" Mr. Schuester said as the brunette looks up. "Hi, I´d like to officially welcome you aboard and give you our glee club fall rehearsal schedule" he hands her some papers.

"thank you so much " Olivia smiled.

"you´re welcome" the teacher said. "well, I´ll see you in the choir room"

"sure" Olivia nods taking the schedule as she watches her new teacher leaves. "I´m going to make you proud mom" she looks at the picture in her locker. "how I wish you were here" she sighs sadly, her mother passed away six months in an accident.

From afar Rachel watched as welcomed Olivia and gave her the schedule for rehearsals, but what she really thought was that he was going to give her all the solos. So she decided to fight for what was hers.

She walked towards Olivia´s locker.

"Hi Rachel" Olivia greeted smiling. "thanks again for lending me this pretty dress, I promise I´ll give it back to you"

"no need" Rachel said. "well, since you´re in glee club now; I wanted to tell you that I´m willing to have a healthy competition with you"

"excuse me?" Olivia raised her eyebrows in confusion.

"I dare you to sing with me in the auditorium. Right now" Rachel continued.

"sure, sounds fun" Olivia smiled as she shuts her locker gently.

"oh no sweetie; you didn´t understand" Rachel interrupts her. "it´s a sing-off to see who is the new star of glee club"

"it´s an honor to sing with the legendary Rachel Berry" says Olivia as both shake hands in agreement. "But I just want you to know, this is not a competition for me. I wanna be in the glee club but to be a team, I know that you are the star and I don´t want to steal the spotlght"

"it is for me" said Rachel. "you´re so sweet Olivia and I really like you; but others think you are better than me and I want to prove them wrong" she then smiles at her. "see you in the auditorium"

"please tell me it´s not true" Kurt said as he and others were meeting in the auditorium. "Olivia just joined the glee club and Rachel wants to challenge her to a sing-off? It´s ridiculous, both are equally talented"

"we know Rachel and she seems nice but when someone is more talented than her, she attacks them like a hungry shark" Jake pointed out.

"why don´t they have solos?" Amanda asks. "so everything is fair"

"the solos are for Miss Rachel Berry and only her" Santana said. "or else she´s going to hate you forever"

"she just wants to do the right thing" Finn tried to speak for Rachel.

"Do you think doing the right thing is challenging the new girl to see who the new star is?" Tina said. "no offense Finn, but you´re nicer when you don´t justify your girlfriend"

"preach" Artie said raising his hand. "okay, you can come in ladies" Rachel and Olivia walked on the stage from different sides of the auditorium. "you are going to sing "Be the one" by Dua Lipa"

"I love that song" Olivia smiles.

"I know it" Rachel simply said.

"Artie thanks for being the judge" Rachel said with a smile and then looks at her teammates wrapping her arm around Olivia´s waist. "as you see, Olivia Michaels and I will sing, and you´ll decide who stays in the glee club, she or me"

"she´s kidding?" Ryder said.

"I told her I didn´t want to compete" Olivia spoke. "I always dreamed of singing with Rachel cause I admire her and that means to me. So I don´t see it as competition; but…whatever she decides is fine by me"

"okay ladies" Artie said. "heads or tails"

"heads" Rachel said.

"tails" Olivia said, Artie flips the coin.

"tails" Artie announced.

"whoo!" the kids cheered for Olivia.

"Rachel can start" Olivia gently said as she stands in the corner.

"hit it!" Rachel said and the music starts; she walks confidently in front of the stage.

(Be the one by Dua Lipa starts playing as Rachel looks straight ahead and sings)

(Rachel and Olivia walk in circles staring at each other and they walk in the front of the stage as they stare at the audience with a smile, it´s obvious that this not a sing-off anymore and turned out into a friendly duet)

Everyone got up cheering and clapping, Rachel and Olivia smiled and high-fived before hugging tightly.

"that was awesome" Olivia smiled at Rachel.

"yeah" Rachel smiled.

"okay…I hate to take this decision but…" Artie spoke. "it´s a tie"

"what?" Rachel and Olivia said at unison.

"ladies, you are talented and there´s no doubt that with you we´re going to win at sectionals" Artie said. "so…no one will leave glee club, both of you will stay"

"yes!" New Directions clapped.

"we both win Rachel" Olivia smiles at Rachel.

"I´m going to take fresh air" Rachel seriously says. "excuse me" she gets off the stage and leaves the auditorium as everyone looks at her in confusion.

(Rachel walks down the hallway looking sad, despite she shared the victory with Olivia, she knew that her teammates were going to choose Olivia instead of her so she decides to quit glee club without anyone knowing)

[Rachel]

(Rachel is singing alone in an empty auditorium, she looks lost and sad; the auditorium is different and it´s not the one of McKinley)

"Rachel Berry?" a woman said when she finished singing; the girl looks up, the woman smiles at her. "I´m Shelby Corcoran, your new coach" she then shakes her hand. "welcome to Vocal adrenaline"

Rachel suddenly smiles, finally finding her place where she belongs: a place where she can be the star and she didn´t regret her choice.
