Chapter 8.-Crossroads
Hello guys! I am so sorry for the long hiatus, I know I have no excuse but I'm now an adult and I've been really busy, also I´m working on my original stories on Wattpad, right now it's about a friendship of two girls, one is mexican and the other one is colombian, the title it's "Marigold" , but it's written in spanish since it's my native language and to work on this story I have to use the translator.
Anyway, I will give you a recap of what happened in the last chapter, or as the narrator of Glee used to say: "so here's what you missed on Glee!", this time since it's a crossover, here's what you missed:
1.-Winn had an accident in the laboratory trying to create a portal that brings Kara back to National City and instead brought Billy Batson (Asher Angel), who switches into an adult superhero (Zachary Levi) by saying the champion´s name.
2.-Winn is having trouble creating a new portal so Alex is baby sitting Billy in the meantime.
3.-John Jonn´z is pretending to be Kara to undercover the real Kara while she is in Lima Ohio with her sister Marley Rose, who looks a lot like her except Kara is blonde and is older than her.
4.-A new girl named Olivia Michaels (Olivia Rodrigo) auditioned for glee club and joined New Directions, Rachel felt threatened that she quitted and transferred to Carmel High.
Okay, without any further, here's chapter 8. I don't know how often I'll update this fanfic but I´ll try.

A few minutes passed when Billy stopped crying and wiped away his tears, he usually was a reserved teenage boy who hardly expressed his feelings, he learned to survive since he was 4 years old not to trust anyone; when he finally found Marilyn Batson, his biological mother, Billy realized that she left him behind on purpose at the carnival since she didn't feel good enough to be a teenage mom, this broke Billy´s heart, however, he didn't hold a grudge against his mom and forgave her.
The situation was different, Billy sobbed because he felt home sick and missed his adoptive family that he came to consider as real, he didn't miss being a superhero since he learned that fame was not everything.
"I'm sorry Alex" Billy apologized looking at Alex, who was sitting next to him at the park and rubbed his back. "I didn't want you to see me cry"
"Hey, it's okay," Alex assured him. "you don't have to be ashamed to cry"
"But it's embarrassing," Billy protested sadly. "I usually try not to show my emotions, the last time I saw my mom and she didn't want me I got hurt, I was heartbroken by her rejection that I wanted to cry and now…I'm being vulnerable…I…I didn't want you to see me like this"
"Billy Batson" Alex replied softly but being firm at the same time. "don't feel ashamed to express how you feel and I understand that you feel home sick; I promise that I'll do everything in my power so that you can return to Philadelphia and reunite with your family, see the bright side" she added with a smile, thinking that this could make the teenger feel better. "you will have something new to tell Eugene, Pedro, Darla, Mary and Freddy"
"yeah I know" Billy smiled again, showing his dimples. "especially that I met Supergirl, even though it was by video call" they both chuckled.
"Easy boy" Alex chuckled. "my sister is older than you, so don't rush to get a girlfriend yet"
"We all know that I can turn older just by saying the magic word," pointed out Billy, seeing that his mentor was serious, he lifted his hands in surrender. "fine Alexandra Danvers, you win"
"Come on kiddo, I´ll buy you an ice cream" Alex commented with a smirk as she put a hand on his shoulder as they got up from the bench and left the park.
Present time…
Alex entered D.E.O looking for answers to return Billy to his earth, everyone was already there, including Lucy.
"Please tell me there's some news, '' Alex begged, walking towards them. "Billy, although he loves being here, all he wants is to go home"
"We have good news and bad news," John said in his Hank Henshaw disguise.
"The bad news first," Alex said. "so I can prepare Billy for the worst, and as for Kara, she said that she wants to stay one more week in Lima since Marley is going to compete in her choir sectionals and she wants to support her little sister"
"the bad news is that it will take a week to activate the portal" Winn finally said. "I talked with Cisco on the phone and he helped me to create a new one that wouldn't take six months; Billy can go home today but with Kara it would take a week. if she wants to wait in Ohio, that give us an advantage; the only problem is that Cat Grant is a suspicious woman and she can tell at any moment that her assistant hasn´t been to work for days and the one in the office is an impostor"
"Shoot" Alex cursed quietly so Billy wouldn't hear. "What else can we do? John is being my sister´s undercover and no one seems to have noticed"
"Adam is confused since I won´t let him kiss me," John pointed out. "but I can´t tell him that I´m not really his girlfriend"
"I´ll talk to Kara and tell her that she needs to get back to National City ASAP" James said. "or else Cat will be furious if she finds out the truth"
"James, Winn just said that the portal will still take a week to activate" Lucy explained softly. "luckily Billy will be able to return to Philadelphia in less than a rooster crows, but it's because he belongs to another universe"
"I know that Kara wants to support her sister and it's a nice gesture on her part, but she also has responsibilities as Supergirl, not to mention that she is a loyal assistant at " James commented. "I'll call her right now"
"What about Marley? she wants to come to National City" Alex pointed out. "you guys already noticed that portals are not easy to create, it takes time. and in one of those unfortunate events Billy is here"
"James went to call your sister and talk some sense into her," John explained. "as you know, I can´t be Kara all the time, I´m also a Martian and I have responsibilities"
"Well, we´ll see what happens," Lucy commented. "we just have to wait"
"The portal is ready!" Winn announced. "it's time for Billy to come inside and say goodbye, it won't be open long"
Billy, who was on the phone talking to Freddy Freeman, heard everything and said goodbye to his foster brother and best friend and rejoined the group.
"Sorry guys, I was talking to Freddy," Billy apologized as he put his phone into his jacket pocket. "I told him everything and he was shocked that I met Superman's cousin"
"It would be epic to see the Shazam family and Supergirl fight crime together," Winn said with a big smile. John cleared his throat, reminding him about the mission. "sorry, uh…Billy, it's time for you to get inside of the portal, you´re going home"
"I am?" Billy asked with a big smile, his dimples appearing on his cheeks and his green eyes sparkled. "wow…I don't know what to say" he reached out to hug Winn. "Thanks dude, for everything. it was amazing to meet you" then he looked at everyone. "everyone, especially Alex, you were an awesome babysitter and I hope to see you guys someday"
"you're welcome Billy" Lucy smiled. "have a nice trip and say hello to Victor and Rosa for me"
"I will '' Billy said, hugging Lucy, he bumped fists with John. "well…I better get in that thing or it won't last long. um…say goodbye to James for me, okay?"
"don´t worry," Alex assured him. "I´ll let him know. now go, your family is waiting for you; just as the citizens of Philly wait for their champion"
Billy nodded and entered the luminous indigo blue vortex that appeared in the middle of the laboratory, he turned to look at his new friends for the last time waving goodbye; John, Alex, Winn and Lucy reciprocated the wave, Billy turned around, walked towards the portal, on the other side was the house where he lived with Victor, Rosa and his foster siblings, Billy entered the living room of his house and the portal closed; as Winn, Alex, John and Lucy witnessed how Billy Batson returned to his world, without a doubt this would be a great adventure, since they met nothing more and nothing less than the same Shazam in person.
Lima, Ohio…
(Olivia walks down the halls of McKinley clutching her books closer to her chest, she's wearing a pink sweater, jeans, white booties and a necklace with the shape of a heart, her long, wavy and brown hair falling freely down her shoulders, she looks straight ahead)
Olivia voice over:
It´s been four days and we haven´t heard from Rachel, I haven´t even seen her in the choir room, it´s weird that almost everyone hasn´t noticed and acted as if nothing happened.
(Mercedes is talking with Kurt at his locker and he gives her fashion tips)
There´s something fishy here, hmm…maybe I should pretend to be the next Enola Holmes and crack the mystery of Rachel's disappearance.
(Olivia stops in front of her locker and she spots Quinn Fabray trying to flirt with Finn, he gets uncomfortable by the inappropriate touch and asks her to back off)
What the hell is wrong with that Quinn girl? Finn Hudson is taken, he loves Rachel and I didn´t see him as a person who dumps his girlfriend for the hot cheerleader. to be honest, I never liked her when I was the new kid at McKinley and she wanted me to join the cheerios, I simply don't trust her.
(Meanwhile, Kara is leaning against a wall, talking on the phone with someone, it´s seen that she is explaining the situation to someone)
And as for Marley, well…news is flying and everyone here knows she has a sister, it wasn´t for her hair, wears glasses or is a few years older than her they could be twins, which is amazing.
(The camera points back at Olivia, she explains one of the main reasons why she moved to Ohio with her dad, not only to get another school or because of her father´s new job)
As you should know, one of the main reasons I moved from Salt Lake wasn´t just because my dad got promoted at his job, a few weeks ago I found out my boyfriend Anthony cheated on me with a redhead girl named Kimberly, which hurt me because we met since kindergarten. probably, the old me would be depressed, but now I decide to be a new person, by moving on and focusing on glee club. the only thing I wish for Anthony is his happiness.
(A beat starts playing, Olivia sings looking straight ahead thinking of her ex-boyfriend)
[Olivia]

Just as Olivia finished the last note of the song, she heard that someone was clapping, and immediately spotted a blonde girl with the face of a china doll smiling at her.
"That was incredible," Amanda said, smiling as she stopped clapping. "I didn't know you could reach a high note like that"
"Thank you so much" Olivia says shyly as she puts the microphone back on its stand. "I was just um…"
"Singing to an ex," Amanda said. "I guessed, just hearing the lyrics is enough" she looked at the brunette curiously, who got off the stage and approached her. "Did you write that song?"
"Yeah," Olivia said. "Writing songs it's like my personal therapy" as she talks with Amanda, who was like Rachel in personality, only nicer and she didn't demand solos or getting the spotlight. "I'm sorry, we didn't introduce before, I'm Olivia…Olivia Michaels"
"I know who you are" Amanda smiles sweetly as they leave the auditorium and walk towards the hallway stopping at Olivia's locker. "You're the new girl who joined glee club and auditioned with "King of anything"
"Exactly, that's me," Olivia says. "Nice to meet you"
"Nice to meet you too" Amanda smiled as she shook hands with the brunette. "Actually I was coming to get you, glee club is about to start and everyone is waiting for you"
"Okay" Olivia simply responded and then turned to look at the blonde girl with curiosity. "Amanda…um…by any chance, have you seen Rachel lately? I mean…it's been four days and I haven't seen her since we had the sing-off at the auditorium. We tied at the competition but she didn't seem happy and when I entered the choir room she wasn't there"
"Now that you mention it, I haven't seen her either," Amanda pointed out, really concerned. "Why? Is she okay? I also noticed that she acted a bit strange when the sing-off ended and Artie announced that it was a tie"
"The duet wasn't even a competition," Olivia protested sadly. "Ugh, the last thing I wanted was to take off Rachel's spotlight, she…is such an amazing singer and I aspire to be like her in the future"
"Yeah she is great" Amanda smiled and sighs with nostalgia. "It's such a shame that she's not here"
"Hey, there you are," Artie said as he wheeled towards them. "The glee rehearsal it's about to start and is asking for you"
"We're on our way" Amanda said as she and Olivia followed the boy. "Artie, where is Rachel?"
"To be honest, I'm not sure," Artie confessed. "Neither of us haven't seen her since this morning and Finn is worried since his girlfriend is not answering his calls"
"What?!" Olivia exclaimed. "Oh my God, is she okay? What if something terrible happened to her"
"Calm down Liv" Amanda put her hand on her shoulder. "I think it's no big deal"
"How can you be so sure?" Olivia asked. "This is not okay, we don't know what happened to Rachel" she sighed. "I'll continue with my research later"
"They're here " Artie wheeled inside the choir room as Olivia and Amanda followed him.
"Finally!" Exclaimed Puck. "You chicks took so long in the bathroom, were you applying makeup or just talking?"
"We were just talking and no, we weren't in the bathroom" Amanda explained.
"Take a seat girls" said as Amanda and Olivia sat in the chairs. "Let's get started"
"Still no answer from Rachel?" Sebastian asks Finn as he hangs up and shakes his head.
"She still hasn't answered my calls," Finn said. "What if…she cheats on me"
"Finn, all of us know Rachel and she'd never do that to you" Marley added, Kara excused herself and she was attending a call concerning her job in National City and she was talking on the phone with her friend James Olsen, so she would miss the glee rehearsal.
"Guys… I don't want to be negative but unfortunately Rachel quitted glee club" said staring at his students.
"What?!" Everyone protested.
"This is insane! We need her!" Kurt protested.
"I agree," Tina pointed out. "Rachel was our unique factor and without her talent we will lose against Vocal Adrenaline"
"Ugh..despite I can't stand to miss bossy pants who was irritating everyone with her classic storm off and demanding all the solos, I hate to admit that I miss her" Santana confessed. "What?" Jake and Mike looked at her curiously.
"Santana Lopez missing Rachel Berry?" Jake smirked. "That's new"
"Shut it Puckerman or else I'll take it back" Santana said, Brittany put a hand on her girlfriend's shoulder to calm her. "Don't worry Britt, I'm fine" she took her hand and kissed it.
" , how the hell are we going to compete without Rachel?" Mercedes protested. "Vocal Adrenaline will kick our asses"
"I thought the same," Artie replied, scared. "I heard that they will perform an epic song from Queen, and that guy Jesse kills it with his Freddy Mercury's vocals"
"Please don't ever insult Freddy again" Ryder said. "No one, not even Jesse could follow his footsteps"
"Guys!" scolded the kids. "I know that most of you are upset by Rachel's choice but we have to move on and focus on the rehearsal…Finn, Olivia, can you please sing this song?"
Finn and Olivia got up from their seats and walked towards their glee teacher, who handed them two copies of the music sheets with the title "Way back into love" on it.
"Way back into love?" Olivia read the title and stared at the teacher. "Mr. Schue, this a duet, like a romantic duet"
"Yes Olivia I know," explained. "It's from the movie "Music & Lyrics" where Drew Barrymore and Hugh Grant starred in"
"But in this version Drew Barrymore doesn't sing" Finn protests. "It says Haley Bennet"
"That's right," explained. "It's the song that Hugh and Haley sing as Alex and Cora respectively when Cora is at her concert, now…" he adds with a clap. "If we can focus…Finn and Olivia, please do the honors"
"No!" Finn and Olivia protested in unison.
" we can't sing Way back into love" Olivia protested. "It's a romantic duet"
"I was hoping to sing this with Rachel," Finn added. "I don't feel the chemistry with Olivia despite she is a great singer" he looks at her. "No offense"
"None taken" Olivia said calmly and then looked at their teacher.
"Finn…someone has to sing with you since Rachel is not here anymore" pointed. "And this ballad fits with Olivia's voice so…and Olivia" he looks at the pretty brunette. "It's just a song, I'm not saying that you will fall in love with Finn, just think it's a rehearsal. If the duet is disaster, I won't ask you to sing together ever again"
Finn sighed of surrender, so he decided to go for it, Olivia accepted too; the both of them shook hands in agreement.
"Okay, we can do this Finn" Olivia tells her friend.
"Yeah totally" Finn gives her his signature half grin. "Hey dude" he looks at the pianist Brad, who is sitting on the piano bench. "Please play "way back into love" B flat"
(Brad starts playing "Way back into love", Finn and Olivia read the music sheets as they start to sing, their voices sound amazing together)
[Olivia]

(Finn and Olivia decide to relax and share friendly smiles, the rest of the glee club and enjoy the performance, even Santana starts to see that Finn and Olivia had a great musical chemistry, not a romantic one of course)

(The music plays again as Finn and Olivia walk around the piano staring at each other friendly and finish the song)

Just as the ballad ended, everyone applauded without exception.
"great job guys" Mr. Schuester congratulated them. "This could be a great duet for sectionals"
"Well, um..." Olivia started saying.
"We're not dating," Finn said quickly.
"Yeah, exactly," Olivia replied nervously and whispered to Finn. "That was so awkward"
"Totally," agreed Finn.
"It was just for rehearsal, don't worry," their glee teacher assured them. "You can sit"
Finn and Olivia said nothing more and returned to their respective seats to continue the lesson.
"Where is your sister Marley?" Tina asked suddenly. "she never misses rehearsals"
"Well...Kara had to fix an important matter and she asked me to excuse her" explained Marley not to say that her sister was actually Supergirl and was talking with her friend James Olsen to return to National City and fulfill her responsibilities as a superhero.
"I hope everything is okay with Kara," Brittany finally said. "What if she was abducted by aliens?"
"Uh…" everyone whispered confused, not knowing what to say to the cheerleader, who was still innocent.
"Brittany, it's not what you think" Ryder told her softly. "Kara is fine"
"Oh okay" Brittany sighed. "Just in case I built a metal hat in robotics class that prevents alien abductions." Jake and Ryder slapped their foreheads.
The bell rang suddenly, which meant that glee rehearsal just ended, the kids got up from their seats and started leaving the choir room in silence to go to their next class.
"I'll see you later," announced. "Great job again Finn and Olivia"
"Thanks I guess" Finn said, but he still felt uncomfortable singing a romantic ballad with someone who was not his girlfriend.
"Hey!" Marley walked up to Kara who at that moment just finished talking on the phone. "You missed rehearsal, Mr. Schue made Finn sing with the new girl Olivia Michaels, they both sounded really good"
"Wow, really? I thought Finn was going to sing a duet with Rachel Berry" Kara said, confused. "You know, his girlfriend? Who is jewish and pretty and sings Broadway and Barbra Streisand's songs?"
"K, I know who Rachel is," Marley giggled. "She is my best friend, remember?"
"Yeah I do, the other day I found her and Finn in a compromising position" Kara said nervously.
"What?" Marley frowns.
"Nothing" Kara simply said and then noticed that his younger sister suddenly turned sad. "Hey, what's wrong Marley bear?"
"Kara, Rachel quitted New Directions" Marley replied sadly. "And she didn't tell why, I'm sad because she goes to a new school now and I miss her"
"I'm sorry to hear that little sis" Kara put a hand on her shoulder. "I hope everything is fine with her"
"Yeah, I hope so too," Marley lamented. "but Rachel is my friend Kara, I think if something bothered her she had the confidence to tell me. I didn't judge her, no one in glee club knew she left, even Olivia was sad. and without Rachel in glee we are more likely to lose in sectionals against Vocal Adrenaline and Aural Intensity"
"Don't think about that yet" her older sister reassured her. "I believe in you Marley Rose and I know that with your talent New Directions will take first place trophy. you just need to show that beautiful gift you have"
"Do you believe in me that much?" Marley asks her older sister.
"More" Kara assures her with a soft smile.
The good thing is that you'll still be in Lima for a few more days and you will be able to see me compete in sectionals" Marley said with a sweet smile. "I promise to make you proud, as well as mom and dad, that now I understand why they didn't take me to Krypton with them. I am from the earth"
"Marley, about sectionals," Kara commented sadly. "I'm sorry...I won't be able to be there, I promised you I would but...I have to get back to National City sooner than expected, John can't always cover for me and people need me..."
"It's okay" Marley replied sympathetically, although her voice sounded sad. "I get it, don't worry about me, I'll be fine"
"Are you sure?" Kara asks with concern. "I know you sis, you may be calm for now but deep inside you are so sad. I'm sorry, I didn't want to let you down"
kara stop, you don't let me down" Marley told her. "I admit I'm sad because you won't see me compete but...
I also understand that you have responsibilities being a superhero and also the assistant of a powerful woman. You can't be in two places at once no matter how hard you try. I just…I'm going to miss you so much" her blue eyes begin to fill with tears.
"I'm going to miss you too" Kara chuckles tearfully as she and her little sister shared an emotive hug in the middle of the hallway.
"aww so sweet" Kitty scoffed. "the little whale being comforted by her rusty twin" she winces. "how sad"
Marley and Kara break away from the hug only to discover that Kitty Wilde is in front of them and taunting Marley.
"Excuse me?" Kara told him annoyed. "What did you just say to her?"
"Stay out of this bookworm" Kitty snapped. "This is between Mike and Molly's daughter and me."
"it became my business because of the fact that you're bothering my sister" Kara started to get annoyed.
"Kara leave it" asked Marley. "she's not worth it"
"yeah kara leave it" kitty sneered. "let Marley go back to her stupid fantasy world where she belongs"
"What is your problem?" Kara insists. "Did you have a traumatic childhood or were you bullied in high school that you take out on an innocent teenager?"
"Kara please…" Marley asked her, afraid that something was going to happen to her older sister for standing up to the cruel cheerleader, who was Quinn Fabray's loyal pet.
"I said stay out of this four eyes!" Kitty yelled at her. "or else you will face my wrath"
"No Miss Lizard Ears, you better watch yourself. You messed with the wrong woman by making Marley's life hell" Kara yelled.
"make me!" kitty roared. "Marley Rose is a piece of..."
PUNCH!
Kara's right fist connected with Kitty's face, who immediately touched her nose and blood began to flow. Marley covered her mouth with her hand.
"YOU BITCH!" she yelled at Kitty touching her nose with a handkerchief to stop the bleeding. "You broke my nose!"
"ooh sorry" Kara pretended to apologize. "But I warned you not to mess with me. Marley Rose is my sister and therefore I'm going to protect her from pests like you. Too bad you'll have to pay a plastic surgeon to fix your broken nose."
Kitty let out a yelp of frustration and ran away from the halls holding her nose after being hit by Supergirl herself.
"Oh my God, what have you done!" Marley was scared. "Kara Zor-El you punched Kitty on the face!"

"You don't have to do that" Marley thanked her sister. "violence is not always the answer, now Kitty is going to hate me more and she'll go after you for messing with her"
"I'm not afraid of her," Kara points out as she removes her glasses and opens her shirt to show her "S" in her chest. "Remember that I'm Supergirl"
For that reason you have to do the right thing and use your powers for good" Marley advised.
"Kitty is evil," Kara told her. "So technically I did the right thing" She buttoned her shirt back up and put her glasses back on.
"Just promise me you'll control your urges before you use another mean cheerleader as a punching bag," Marley asked. "Please Kara, the last thing I want is for your reputation to be ruined again" she reminded her sister the time she was exposed to red kryptonite and turned into an evil and corrupted version of herself.
"Don't remind me," Kara told her. "It was a nightmare," Marley stared into her eyes. "ok, I promise"
"Thank you" Marley told her as she hugs her sister, enjoying the little time they still have before Kara departs to National City.
On the other hand, weeks had passed since Rachel made the choice to quit New Directions after feeling overstaged by the new girl Olivia Michaels; she was now part of the rival choir, Vocal Adrenaline under the coaching of Shelby Corcoran; at first the Jewish girl was happy and she had everything she'd ever dreamed of. Well…almost.
"Yo freak!" A female voice yelled at her back as the girl was walking through the corridors. "Dwarf! Are you deaf!"
"Hello Jenna!" Rachel greeted politely, it didn't make sense to put herself at the level of Jenna Castleworth, the stereotype of the beautiful blonde girl with blue eyes. Just when she thought that she had gotten rid of the mean girls Kitty Wilde and Quinn Fabray, she was wrong. "How um.." She clears her throat. "How can I help you?"
"Simple, getting your gonzo nose done and changing your awful wardrobe" Jenna scoffed. "Seriously Mary Sue, who dresses like a stupid little brat? You don't belong here Berry and you can't hate me for telling you the truth"
"I'm here because Miss Corcoran thinks I have potential," Rachel told her. "She promised that I would be the star of Vocal Adrenaline"
"Oh that's not going to happen honey" a red-haired girl who physically looked alike with Merida from the Pixar movie Brave walked towards Rachel and stood next to Jenna; her name was Danielle Wyatt. "You and I both know that Jenna and Jesse are the captains. Instead you, are a tiny speck of trash compared to all us, you're only good by singing in the background when no one knows you exist"
"What?" Rachel asked, her eyes widening as she looked at Jenna. "You and Jesse? I…I don't get it"
"Didn't you know Schnoz? Jenna and Jesse are the power couple" Danielle explained rolling her eyes. "Are you stupid?"
"We dated" Rachel explained. "He told me that I was his special girl"
"It was all a lie" Jenna smirked evily. "I have no idea what the hell he saw in you but you're ugly, living in a pathetic world where Barbra will notice you and you'll get what you always want, but you'll actually end up working as a maid and cleaning toilets"
"You can have Jesse if you want, I don't care and don't worry, I'm not planning on getting back together with him" Rachel said. "I have a boyfriend"
"Oh really?" Danielle folds her arms. "Well, he's not here, and if he's dating you he'll get sick of you pretty soon and cheat on you with the most popular girl in school having hot sex"
"Finn would never do that to me" Rachel replied with tears in her eyes. "Unlike Jesse, he does love me"
"He'll soon realize that you're the biggest mistake on this planet" Jenna snapped. "And everyone, without exception, will feel disgusted just being around you"
"Get out of my way!" Danielle screamed and shoved Rachel with all her strength, the petite brunette girl fell to the floor and looked at the redhead in shock, who started laughing along with Jenna.
"Let's go Dani, she's a loser" Jenna pointed out with a smile as she and Danielle left a vulnerable Rachel Berry on the floor.
(Rachel gets up from the floor and walks through the corridors, at the moment of closing her eyes a tear slides down her cheeks. She looks straight ahead with immense sadness)

"You don't have to worry about me" Rachel looked at the ground. "You stopped caring from the moment you broke up with me and broke my heart. Now I've just found out from Danielle that Jenna Castleworth is your new girlfriend"
I didn't want to break up Rachel but you made things complicated when you didn't want to have sex with me" Jesse told her. "I tried to be patient but I'm a man and I have needs"
"I WASN'T READY JESSE!" Rachel yelled at him in frustration. "And you just kept pressuring me, plus if I didn't do what you wanted you manipulated me. But you know what? That doesn't matter now because I'm dating Finn Hudson, the hottest guy in the whole world and so chivalrous: which by the way... "I lost my virginity to him and it was heavenly. Instead I really hope you have fun with Jenna. Both of you deserve each other" she got off the stage and started to walk away from the auditorium.

"Rachel, it's me again," Finn said with concern. "This is the sixth message I've left you, I don't understand what's going on but I'm your boyfriend and I'm worried about you. Please babe answer the phone. I love you"
He sent the message and hung up. He was going to go to the gym to work out when he heard a young male voice singing amazing; so he decided to find out who he was.
(The mysterious voice, it turned out, was that of Josh Peterson, a pretty cute 15-year-old freshman from Phoenix Arizona; light brown hair, green eyes, beautiful smile and adorable dimples. He was sitting in the stool singing and playing the guitar)

Josh snapped back to reality once loud applause rang out in the empty auditorium, in front of him was Finn Hudson, the most handsome and popular boy in school who sang like a classic 80's rock star and was a drum god.
"I...I'm sorry...I didn't know there was someone" the young boy began to stutter very nervously, even when he spoke his voice was beautiful. "I'm leaving" he placed the guitar inside its case, slung it over his shoulder and hurried away. "I'm so sorry, sir"
whoa...whoa...whoa" Finn held up his hands to stop the teen. "Wait a second kid, where do you think you're going?"
"Um... I have to go to an English class," Josh replied. "But I have some free time, so I wanted to come and sing for a while. I usually sing when nobody listens to me"
"I already did and you're amazing" Finn told him. "You have a great talent for guitar, in the glee club there are guys who play it too. There is my friend Puck who wears mohawks and he is the bad boy, Artie, who is in a wheelchair and wears glasses but raps like Jay-Z and Jake, who is Puck's brother and was Marley's boyfriend."
"Who is Marley?" Josh asked sheepishly. "you mean the singer with dreads?"
"You are talking about the singer Bob Marley kid; the Marley that I'm talking about is a girl," Finn explained. "She's so pretty and shy like you, with long brown hair and blue eyes. My girlfriend Rachel is her best friend."
"Marley Rose, right?" Josh asked, Finn nodded. "I remember now, her mom is the kind fat lady who works in the cafeteria. She's awesome, she gives me free blueberry muffins" he added with a smile and his dimples appeared.

"Oh sorry" Josh said sheepishly as he rubbed the back of his neck. "you're too tall for a teenager, i thought you were in college or a teacher"
"Nope, I'm a junior," Finn explained. "I have one year left to graduate"
"Sorry, where are my manners?" Josh immediately reached his hand. "I'm Joshua Caleb Peterson but everyone calls me Josh for short"
"Josh is a cool name," Finn smiled as he shook hands with the cute freshman. "My name's Finn Hudson, like a fish and the famous river"
"I know who you are," Josh smiles, starting to gain his confidence. "You're the quarterback of the football team, I saw you at the game of the titans last week and you guys won"
"Yep that's me, the number five" Finn pointed out. "Look dude, I'll go straight to the chase. you're awesome and we need one more member to join the glee club. My girlfriend quit so... I'm here to invite you. the sectionals will be in a few days and we need someone with your talent to win"
"I…I don't think this is such a good idea" Josh shyly says. "I can't sing in front of everybody, I just can't. If I look directly at people for ten seconds I start to feel sick and want to pass out"
Do you have stage fright?" Finn asked and the boy nodded. "Don't worry, I'll help you. The first thing you have to do is gain confidence when you sing so you don't get nervous. Preferably, when you're on stage and there is an audience, imagine that there is no one. so you will be more relaxed" Josh sighed and looked down.
"I tried but…it's hard," Josh confessed. "I was in musical theater when I was ten and it ended in tragedy because I threw up on stage. Since then I haven't sung in public again. I don't know how to do it"
"You have a great singing voice considering you're a shy guy," Finn told him. "Instead, there are some people who are more daring and sing awful. an example is Sugar Motta, the rich girl who has Asperger's"
"I have no idea who she is," said Josh. "This is my first year of high school at McKinley, I moved from Phoenix Arizona with my family because of my dad's job"
"Do you know something? You remind me a lot of me when I was fourteen," Finn told him. "I was also insecure and scared to sing in front of everyone. When I joined the glee club I turned into someone more confident and sure of myself. I also play the drums. you already have the talent man, we just have to let it out"
"I don't know Finn, it's a tempting offer but I just sing in the shower most of the time" Josh commented. "My favorite song is Golden by Harry Styles"

"You'll see" Finn gave his half smile and sat on the stool in front of the drums, taking the drumsticks.

"Are you talking about sneaking into our competition's rehearsals at sectionals?" Olivia was in shock. "But that's spying, we can get in big trouble"
"Oli, I'm going to give you some advice from one detective to another," Finn told him. "Sometimes to find the answer, you have to put your feet in the water to attract sharks"
"You saw Enola Holmes again, didn't you?" Kurt wanted to know, but Finn didn't answer. "I knew it, but Finn is right Olivia, we should go to Carmel High, plus other choirs are spying on us. In sophomore year, the Jane Adams Academy school infiltrated McKinley to steal our set list"

"Don't worry, luckily we won that day because Jane Adams was disqualified for cheating," Finn said. "plus Rachel singing "Don't rain on my parade" was an amazing twist that no one saw coming"

Jesse, give us a show face" Jesse smiles broadly. "That's a show face, guys. You wanna look so talented, it's literally hurting you. I want a look that's so optimistic, it could cure cancer" everyone gives Miss Corcoran a genuine show choir smile. "That's what I'm talking about; okay.."Anything goes/Anything can do" from the top" she marks the beat with a clap. "Three…two…one…

"Miss Corcoran…" Rachel began. "If Jenna and Jesse are the stars of Vocal Adrenaline, why did you give me the solo in the mash-up? Danielle was really upset and now...she hates me."
"Because I saw your potential," Shelby explained. "Danielle may be an excellent tap dancer and she has a good voice, but she has a long way to go to reach your level" she puts a hand on her shoulder. "I have no doubt that you'll go very far"
"Thank you" Rachel replied and watched as her coach walked away leaving her alone for a moment.
Finn got up from his seat and walked towards the stage to confront his girlfriend, obviously Kurt and Olivia noticed that they tried to stop him.
"Hey, what are you doing?" Kurt whispered. "come back here"
"Finn, you're going to get us caught," Olivia pleaded.
"I'll be back soon I promise" Finn pointed out. "Kurt, wait in the car with Olivia, I have to talk to Rachel privately"
"Okay" Kurt told him. "just please be careful, if the members of Vocal Adrenaline find out that we spy on them we can be disqualified from sectionals"
"I will bro, don´t worry" Finn assured his little brother as he gave him his classical half-smile and patted his back.
"I wish you luck with Rachel" Olivia said sadly. "I really like her and I never wanted to take the spotlight away from her. I just wanted everyone in glee club to be a team"
"she knows" Finn told her, Olivia didn't say anything else and along with Kurt, she left the auditorium. "Rachel…"
"Finn…" Rachel was shocked to see her handsome boyfriend at Carmel High. "What are you doing here? you…you just can't…please, you have to go. I don't want you to get in trouble…"
"We need to talk," Finn told her with a serious tone. "Honestly I want to know if you´re still my girlfriend or you broke up with me, you´re not answering any of my calls and you´ve been shutting me out. what's wrong with you?"
"I´m sorry I…I didn´t want to worry you. of course we´re still dating" Rachel said. "it's just that I needed to be alone"
"I get it that you want to take a few days to think, but mysteriously disappear, not answering my calls and the worst…you transferred schools" Finn said with disappointment. "of all the schools you had to choose…you chose Carmel High where Vocal Adrenaline is. Seriously Rachel? I thought you were loyal to New Directions"
"I left because no one in McKinley appreciated my talent, Finn," Rachel told her boyfriend. "Santana constantly makes sarcastic comments to me and everyone gets annoyed when I sing, and don´t forget when they decided to replace me with Olivia. That was a stab in the back. At least here my teammates appreciate me and I´m happy" she smiled, although from the inside she felt miserable.
"Look, I know things have been weird between us, but I never thought you´d lie to me," Finn said with a disappointed face. "I know you Rachel, I know your different types of crying and I know when you're not being honest. you don´t fool me and pretend to be fine but that's a lie; just look at how the blonde girl put her foot in front of you on purpose so that you tripped and the redheaded girl started insulting you that your eyes filled with tears and you were a few seconds away from crying" Rachel looked at the ground. "As for Olivia Michaels, she never wanted to compete with you, you´re the one who has problems with everyone when they don´t let you shine"
"you're right," Rachel confessed. "I´ve been selfish, but I'm afraid someone is more talented than me"
"There's always going to be someone more talented than you Rachel and you can't do anything about it" Finn pointed out. "for once in your life grow up and learn that not everything revolves around you" he started to walk away from her. "see you at Sectionals"
"Are you breaking up with me?" Rachel asked heartbroken.
"I´m not breaking up with you, I still love you" Finn told her. "but you´re not my favorite person right now; when the real Rachel Berry, who is loyal to her peers, is nice, humble, kind and a good friend I´ll be waiting for you"
Finn turned around and left Rachel alone in the middle of the auditorium. She started to cry when she saw that everything her boyfriend told her was true and the worst thing is that it was herself who decided that fate.
"Okay guys" said when everyone was in the choir room, except for Finn. "I know it´s been a complicated week but we have to focus on sectionals"
"where´s Finn?" Tina asked when she noted the empy seat.
"He's on his way" Kurt said. "according to his words, he brings a surprise; whatever that means"
Within seconds, Finn entered the choir room with a smile.
"sorry for the delay but I found a talented kid who can help us win sectionals" Finn said as Josh entered the choir room with a smile holding his backpack. "this is Josh Peterson"
"Oh my God, first Marley has a lost twin and now Josh is Billy Batson´s identical twin brother" Brittany whispered to Mercedes and Tina.
"good job Finn" shook hands with the teenager and then greeted Josh. "Welcome to New Directions Josh"
"woo!" everyone shouted for joy and applauded.
"Thank you" Josh smiled showing his dimples. "I'm so excited to be here"
"He's cute," Amanda whispered smiling.
"Guys we already have our thirteenth member" Mr. Schue announced. "Josh Peterson"
"Welcome buddy" Artie greeted him with a fist bump. "you will have fun here"
"Does the kid even know how to sing?" Puck asked.
"Trust me, I saw it with my own eyes" Finn said. "He's awesome"
"I heard you sang 'Watermelon Sugar' by Harry Styles with Finn the other day," Olivia said. "it was great"
"Yeah, that was when he recruited me into the glee club," Josh explained.
"You can have a seat Josh, we're about to start rehearsal" said and the boy obeyed.
"Mr. Schuester" Marley, who hadn't spoken until that moment, raised her hand.
"yes Marley?" Mr. Schue asked. "Do you have something to share with us?"
"Actually I do," said Marley, standing up. "But first, Kara asked me to be excused but she had to go back to National City and she won't be able to be in rehearsals"
"It's a shame we couldn't say goodbye to your sister," Ryder said. "She was very nice"
"Don't worry, she'll be back soon" Marley said and walked to the center of the choir room. "I'd like to sing a song" she handed the sheet music to the band. "It's one of my favorites and... knowing Rachel, she'd sing it if she were here. But it also makes me think of Kara leaving."
"Take it away" encouraged the brunette girl with blue eyes.
(The band starts playing "Big girls don't cry by Fergie; Marley starts to sing beautifully as New Directions pay attention to her performance)
