Corazón Robado

A/N: This is just a little idea that popped into my head late one night after one too many caffeinated drinks. This may or may not be a successful attempt at a completed fan fiction but you never know. We'll see how my attention span goes. This first chapter is only short, a prologue if you wish. More to come shortly. I also apologize about the geographical features of this fiction. I'm not American and there is only so much you can learn about a place without actually visiting said place.

Disclaimer: I do not own Supernatural or any of the characters that appear in the television series, I do however own my characters Anaïs Levy and Chesney Moir. I also place no claim to the movie The Grudge.

Phoenix, Arizona

Anaïs Levy and her best friend Chesney Moir were sitting on Anaïs' bed. Anaïs was braiding Chesney's auburn hair.

"So, truth or dare?" Anaïs asked as her fingers twisted the strands of Chesney's hair together.

"Umm… Truth." Chesney replied.

"Do you like Jake Sutherford?" Anaïs asked without missing a beat. She begain to grin as she felt Chesney tense up. Anaïs knew how to make her best friend squirm, with questions about guys. Chesney was the quiet type, the type of girl who liked to play it safe. She was the type of girl who you'd imagine to grow up and lead a nice cheerful life with a chipper little family. As a matter of fact Anaïs was surprised that Chesney was still hanging out with her. Anaïs was almost the complete opposite to Chesney. She had dark violet-black hair and chocolate brown eyes while Chesney had auburn hair and ocean blue eyes. Anaïs was bold and moody. She often came off as offensive but she didn't care. She liked being herself and didn't care what anyone thought of her.

"Anaïs!" she scolded.

"Hey Ches, what'd you expect when you chose truth?" Anaïs shot back.

Chesney bit her lip. She sighed, "Fine, yes."

Anaïs just grinned and finished braiding Chesney's hair.

"All done." Anaïs declared finishing the end of Chesney's braid. She passed her a mirror.

"They're great. Thanks Anaïs." Chesney said as she examined her hair.

"So want to watch a DVD now?" Anaïs questioned.

"Okay." Chesney replied. "Which one?"

"Hmm… Well what are you in the mood for? Something scary?"

"Sure, aren't I always? How about The Grudge?" Chesney replied.

"Yup, okay. I'll go and get the popcorn. Be back in a sec'." Anaïs said sliding off the bed.

Chesney was about to get up and put the DVD on when she heard Anaïs scream. Chesney ran out of the bedroom and onto the landing. She saw Anaïs cowering away from a hideous figure. It had long claw-like fingernails and a horrifically disfigured face. It kept advancing and Anaïs continued to scream in terror. It took one more large step and reached out a hand. Chesney looked on helplessly as it reached inside Anaïs' chest and wrenched out her heart. Anaïs' screams turned into strangled gasps and then faded to silence. The figure disappeared soundlessly as if nothing had transpired. It was like looking at a victim in those horror movies that they had enjoyed watching together. The gaping hole in her chest was impossibly real, as was the growing pool of blood underneath her body.
