Attacked-Ch 27
The next morning everybody got up and enjoyed a delicious breakfast together and just as they were getting up from the table Bryan walked to the door and said, "good morning everybody". Everybody smiled and said, "good morning" in unison and Penelope said, "and how are you today Bryan"?, he said, "I'm good and what about yourself"?, she said, "good, we're all good, we had an amazing night, we watched movies and pigged out" and everybody laughed and nodded their heads in agreement".
Bryan said, "I stayed in and enjoyed a quiet night at home", Derek said, "sounds like everybody had a good night then" and Bryan said, "that it would Derek, that it would" as everybody started walking out of the kitchen and headed toward the living room. When they all got into the living room Jack and Henry tugged on their mothers hands and Jack said, "can we go outside and play with Clooney and Mudgie"?, Emily said, "what do you think Jayje"?, JJ said, "sure, just stay where we can see you".
The little boys squealed, "yayyyyyyyyy come on Clooney, come on Mudgie" as they ran happily from the room, JJ then looked at Penelope and said "so what are your plans for today"?, Penelope said, "I have a session with Amelia at 11:00 and then I'm free, would you ladies like to join me for lunch"?, they grinned and Emily said, "I think that can be arranged don't you Jayje"?, JJ said, "I do believe so" and then all three ladies laughed.
Fran said, "I need to go to town and pick up a few things", Sarah and Desi looked at each other and Sarah said, "mind if we come with you ma"?, she said, "not at all honey, not at all" as the trio of women headed out of the room to get ready for their trip to town. Hotch looked at Derek, Reid and Dave and said, "we need to discuss the case this morning", the men nodded their heads yes as they followed him from the room.
Bryan knew that he needed to stay close to them to see what progress if any they are making, he needed to see if they were getting any closer in discovering that he was actually the rapist. He glanced over his shoulder and saw that Penelope was safe with JJ and Emily so he slipped out of the room and quietly followed the men to the den and stood outside the door and listened in on their conversation.
Hotch said, "I was notified right before breakfast that we had another victim lastnight", Derek said, "did she looked like baby girl"?, Hotch said, "she did" and pulled up a picture of the latest victim on his phone and turned it to show the others. Derek said, "this man is really a sick bastard" and Bryan couldn't help but grin as he thought, "I'm a bastard all right a bastard that was inside your woman before you were"
Reid said, "did she report hearing him say anything before he left the scene"?, Hotch said, "no, she was unconscious due to a concussion from having her head hit on the floor during the assault". Derek shook his head and said, "we need to find this freak and the sooner the better, we have to keep baby girl safe", Dave said, "don't worry we will do whatever it takes to keep kitten safe, we aren't gonna let him get his hands on her again".
Bryan once again grinned as he thought, "you're not going to be able to stop me, I will be with her again, I will touch her, I will be inside her and once again I will make her mine and their isn't anything you can do to stop me". He could tell by the way they were talking that the conversation was getting ready to end so he turned around and made his way back through the house so that they wouldn't know that he had been listening in on their conversation.
When he reached the living room he saw that Penelope was alone with Clooney and Mudgie, he walked into the room and said, "where did everybody go"?, Penelope said, "JJ and Em had to take Jack and Henry for their physicals this morning but they will be back later for lunch and Fran and the girls are gone to town for a few minutes so it's just little ole me here".
Bryan smiled as he stepped closer and after a few steps he stopped as Clooney started growling at him, Penelope rubbed his head and said, "it's alright buddy, he's here to protect mommy, he won't hurt me". Bryan smiled and said, "that's right I won't hurt your mommy, you've got nothing to worry about, nothing at all" as he took a few steps back to get away from the growling dog.
When the got to the door he bumped into Derek and said, "ohh sorry about that Derek, I was just talking to Penelope and wasn't watching where i was going, are you okay"?, Derek said, "yeah man, no problem here, it's all good". Derek then made his way over and plopped down on the couch beside Penelope and Bryan excused himself from the room as to not disturb their conversation, when the real reason he didn't want to be in the room was he couldn't stand to be in the same room as Derek, not when he was touching his Penelope.
Reid couldn't help but watched as Bryan walked away, their was a look on his face that rivaled jealousy, he wondered if Bryan was jealous of the relationship that Derek has with Penelope. He was pulled from his thoughts when he heard a knock at the door, he said, I'll get it" and walked across the room and answered the door, he smiled as he opened the door and said, "good morning Amelia, please come in" as he stepped back to let Amelia inside.
Amelia said, "good morning Spencer, how are you on this beautiful morning"?, Reid said, "I'm fine and yourself"?, Amelia said, "I have no complaints, none at all" and Reid said, "Penelope is in the living room with Derek and her four legged bodyguards" and Amelia grinned as she turned around and headed into the living room to check on her friend and patient Penelope.
