Here it is, the last chapter on the last day of 2021. This one is SUPER long, so it took a while.

Without further ado, let's get into it.

Disclaimer: I don't own Godzilla or Raya and the Last Dragon

Chapter 3: Clash of the Titans

As the group was researching the titans, one of the guards of Heart suddenly burst through the door, startling everyone.

"Sir, a massive storm just appeared out of nowhere above our castle."

Benja was shocked to hear this. "What?"

Suddenly, the ground started to violently shake causing Benja to drop the book of titans.

"An earthquake too? What the hell is going on?"

(Meanwhile, underneath Heart)

The giant block of ice continued to crack until suddenly, it blew apart, leaving a cloud mist in its midst.

Then, three giant heads emerged from the ice and roared, summoning the storm above. Seeing as the only way out was up, it started shooting lightning at the ceiling, causing it to split apart and also cause the surface to tremble.

Meanwhile, the earthquake and the storm were becoming stronger by the second.

"Everyone, evacuate," Benja shouted. "It's too dangerous to stay here."

"Everyone agreed and started running out of the palace and towards that bridge where multiple warriors from each clan were waiting.

As everyone was crossing, a bolt of lightning suddenly struck the bridge. Luckily, no one was hurt, but Raya, Toun, Noi, the Ongis, Beja, and Sisu were stuck on the other side.

"Quick, everyone on my back," Sisu shouted. The group quickly complied and she used the rain from the storm as stepping stones to get to the other side.

As they got off, the book fell out of Raya's bag and opened up. As Raya bent down to pick it up, she saw something and her eyes widened.

"What is it, Dewdrop?" Benja asked as Raya looked at the section that opened up, fear evident overtaking her as she couldn't speak a single word.

She turned the book over to show her father and his face mirrored that of his daughter's.

The chiefs and Raya's friends gathered around once more to get a closer look.

"After Ghidorah's defeat, it was sealed away in ice thanks to the native dragons of the land."

"Wait," Sisu said, "We can breathe ice?"

"Incredible," Pengu, "It must be a technique that's been long forgotten.

"Oh no!" Benja said, "After being sealed in ice, Ghidorah was lowered into a chasm, which was filled with miles and miles of solid earth. To mark this spot, the dragons, with the help of the people, carved out a mountain in a crescent shape."

Everyone looked at the shape of the landmark and saw an all too familiar sight.

They looked back at the rock where the Heart clan built their nation.

Or rather, the landmark that marked where Ghidorah was sealed.

Before anyone could say anything else, a bolt of lightning, much bigger than the other ones, shot up out of the ground and through the crescent shaped rock, causing it to crumble, followed by the ground beneath it cave in, forming a large sinkhole.

Everyone had to look away to prevent dust from getting in their eyes. They looked back up and saw that nothing remained of Heart.

Raya fell to her knees, tears in her eyes at the sight of her home being destroyed.

Suddenly, a loud growl came from the hole and it was obvious to everyone what was emitting that sound.

Within the giant dust cloud, everyone could see a silhouette of a giant creature. Then, a spiked tail emerged, the spikes spreading out as it moved, followed by a giant foot coming down, making the earth tremble as it put it down with the other right after.

What unnerved everyone was that the feet were facing in their direction. As they continued to observe in fear, they barely made out the shape of three heads in the cloud.

Suddenly, the dust cloud dispersed causing everyone to cover their eyes once more. As they opened their eyes back up, they saw something that would be glued into their minds for the rest of their lives.

Standing before them was a monster with three heads that looked like a cross between snakes & demonic horses, which sat atop three long snake-like necks. In addition, this monster also had twin tails tipped with feather-like spikes on each end, and two muscular legs with sharp talons not unlike those of an eagle. The three snake-like heads also had some minor differences between them; particularly the central head had two rows of spikes running down its neck while the two side heads had only one row apiece, the head on the right had a chipped horn, and the head on the left had straighter horns than the other two.

Instantly everyone knew, this is Ghidorah.

Their fear only increased when the three heads looked in their direction.

"Everyone RUUUUUN!" Benja shouted as everyone turned tail and ran as fast as they could.

All except one clan.

"Never," yelled the Chief of Spine. "We are spine warriors, and we never run from our enemies."

Suddenly, he and four other men charged at Ghidorah, their weapons at the ready.

"Chief, don't," Tong shouted, but it fell on deaf ears as they continued running towards the three-headed monster.

The group of Spine warriors started throwing their spear, only for them to bounce off of Ghidorah's hide like pebbles against steel.

The three heads looked down at the group with a deadpan expression.

'Do these idiots really think that'll work?'

Deciding to show the massive gap between them and the Spine warriors, the three heads rose up, poising like cobras ready to strike. It's necks and throats glowing yellow as it opened its mouth, aiming at the Spine warriors.

The warriors and their chief looked up and paled as they quickly figured out what was about to happen.

"Oh shit."

Those were the last words the Spine chief spoke.

Suddenly, Ghidorah fired three powerful beams of condensed electricity at the men. Their screams lasted for only half a second before they were instantly disintegrated, leaving only ashes in their places.

Raya covered her mouth in horror while Tong fell to his knees, unable to comprehend the death of his chief and allies delivered by the merciless assault from the three headed demon in front of them.

Then, Ghidorah reeled up and let out a high-pitched roar that could be heard for miles, causing everyone to cover their ears.

(Elsewhere in Kumandra)

Godzilla was trying to locate the landmark where his greatest nemesis was imprisoned. But since he hadn't checked in centuries, he was a little lost. Ok, scratch that, he was totally lost.

Now one might think that a creature so powerful, with an enhanced sense of smell, would be able to remember the location of something so important, but there were two things to take into account.

One, Ghidorah was buried deep underground, so the scent was being masked by miles and miles of solid earth.

Two, the landscape has changed drastically over the centuries, so nothing looked familiar to the king of the monsters.

Suddenly, he noticed a violent storm brewing overhead. Then, a familiar scent hit his massive nostrils.

Then, out of nowhere, he heard it. The massive screech of his mortal enemy (although mortal doesn't seem like the right word in this case) ringing throughout the air.

Turning in the direction of his enemy, he growled and started rushing towards Ghidorah, planning/hoping to finish him off.

For good.

Getting over the death of the spine chief and his men, the members of Kumandra started running for their lives.

Ghidorah was in hot pursuit, walking on all fours towards its intended targets.

Pengu looked at his siblings. "If we can distract it long enough, we may be able to buy time for Godzilla to arrive."

"IF he's even coming." Pranee stated.

"Don't worry," Pengu assured her, "There's no way Godzilla hasn't noticed yet."

With that, Pengu and his siblings, as well as all the other dragons started ascending, using the rain as stepping stones towards the three-headed monster.

Sisu was about to join them before Raya grabbed her hand.

"Sisu don't." Raya begged, not wanting to lose her friend.

Sisu smiled and put her hand on Raya's shoulder. "It'll be okay. I promise."

Before Raya could say anything, Sisu jumped into the air following her siblings.

"Sisu," Raya whispered, "Please be careful."

Meanwhile, Ghidorah stopped its advance when it noticed some strange creatures running towards him.

In the air.

.

.

.

.

What?

Ghidorah had seen many things in its life prior to being sealed away, but this was a first. Before he could dwell on it any further, some of the strange creatures, like Amba, suddenly flashed a bright light. While this didn't hurt Ghidorah, it did throw it off.

When it finally regained its senses, all Ghidorah could see was fog, courtesy of Jagan and several other dragons.

Infuriated at being challenged by inferior creatures, Ghidorah let out a massive roar before raising its wings and flapping them, creating a gale force of epic proportions, not only dispelling the fog, but blowing away the dragons as well.

As they regained their bearings, they looked up and paled when they saw Ghidorah's three necks start to glow yellow.

Knowing what was about to happen, Pengu ordered everyone to take cover. However, as soon as he said that, Ghidorah released its lightning blasts at the poor dragons.

Sisu and her siblings, as well as a few other dragons, managed to move fast enough to avoid a direct hit, but were still struck. Since they avoided getting hit entirely, they were only knocked out of the sky as they plummeted to the ground below.

The other dragons weren't so lucky. Like the spine warriors, they were reduced to nothing but ash.

"SISU!" Raya shouted. Since she was so far away, she only saw the dragons getting turned to dust and feared the worst.

Hearing her shouts, The One Who is Many turned its attention towards Raya and her group.

Everyone tried to run but several bolts of lightning came down from the sky right in front of them and struck the ground, knocking everyone off their feet.

As they regained their bearings, Raya looked up and paled. Ghidorah was right on top of them, throats glow yellow, solely focused on finishing off the survivors.

Everyone looked away, too scared to look at their demise.

But not Raya. With her remaining strength, she stood on her feet, glared at Ghidorah, opened her mouth, and screamed.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

However, right before Ghidorah could fire, a massive beam of neon-blue light slammed right into Ghidorah, sending it back as it stumbled and fell to the ground.

Everyone opened their eyes to see what happened and noticed the three-headed titan on the ground. Then the ground started to shake repeatedly. Then, they heard another roar behind them. One that sounded familiar.

They all turned around and saw him.

Godzilla, the king of the monsters himself walking towards them. They smiled as he let out another thundering roar.

"Ba, it's him," Raya said, "Pengu's plan worked." Tears started forming in her eyes.

From behind them, Ghidorah was back on its feet. It shook its head and glared at its arch nemesis.

Seeing as the fight was about to begin, everyone quickly ran out of the way. And just in time too.

Godzilla roared as he charged forward, with Ghidorah doing the same. They ran towards each other and slammed into one another, creating a shockwave upon collision.

Godzilla grabbed Ghidorah's right head and bit down on its neck, making it roar in pain. By doing so, this allowed the left head to bite down on Godzilla's back, making him also roar in pain before slamming the right head down onto the ground and turning around to force the left off of him.

(Meanwhile)

Raya and the others were still trying to get as far as possible when they heard some groaning and panting not too far from them. They turned to the source and gasped.

There, a few feet away from them, was Sisu, her siblings, and several other dragons who survived Ghidorah's brutal lightning assault.

They all ran to them and Raya grabbed Sisu and pulled her into a hug, tears streaming down her face, saying how scared she was that her friend didn't survive.

A sudden tremor interrupted their moment. They looked up and saw the clashing titans right next to them.

One head tried to bite Godzilla, but he swatted it away before quickly spinning around and hitting Ghidorah with his tail.

Godzilla then rammed Ghidorah, pushing it back before getting hit by a lightning blast at point blank range, making him stumble back.

Luckily, he stopped a few miles before he could step on Raya and her group. A sudden thud got their attention and they saw that Godzilla slammed his tail on the ground, which started glowing blue at the tip of his tail and started crawling up the spines on his back.

Seeing that something big was about to happen, the group ran to a much safer distance as they continued to watch the fight.

Godzilla fired his atomic breath, but thanks to Ghidorah's long necks, it easily dodged before firing its lightning breath, which hit Godzilla, disorienting him for a few seconds, allowing Ghidorah to get in close.

Godzilla managed to push the three-headed dragon back for a couple seconds. In retaliation, before he could swipe at it, Ghidorah reeled back its heads and each one bit down hard on Godzilla.

It then proceeded to lift Godzilla 100 meters off the ground before slamming him back onto the ground, dragging him as well to try and cause some extra damage.

Before it could start thrashing, Godzilla used his atomic breath to force Ghidorah off him and push it back several miles.

As this was happening, the bystanders noticed the sky above Ghidorah began to glow with a bluish-green color. Suddenly, from the luminated spot, Mothra appeared. It dive bombed Ghidorah and shot her silk at the three heads, which ended up getting stuck on the mountain next to it.

(With the group)

"I don't believe it," Benja said in amazement, "Mothra, the Queen of the Monsters herself."

Everyone else shared the same feeling. At the same time, some (most notably Sisu) couldn't help but be surprised that a bug could get that big. Mothra was a far better insect to be in the presence of than those Toot 'n' Boom beetles.

"So… Beautiful," Namaari muttered, entranced by the queen's beauty.

Meanwhile, Ghidorah's right head managed to get free from the silk. It looked and saw Mothra flying in the distance.

Seeing as it would have two opponents to deal with, it quickly tried tearing away at the webbing that was holding the other two heads. Before it could even make any process, it noticed a blue glow behind it.

It turned and saw Godzilla coming right towards it.

As they roared at each other, Godzilla slammed his whole body into Ghidorah, forcing it right through the mountain, causing it to crumble and Ghidorah to fall to the ground. While it was now free from the silk, it was greatly hurt.

But before Godzilla could attack it again, Ghidorah immediately took to the skies.

As it looked down at Godzilla, who was roaring in anger because he couldn't fly, Ghidorah didn't notice Mothra attacking from behind.

Mothra immediately latched onto Ghidorah and stabbed it with her stinger, making Ghidorah howl in pain.

It shook Mothra off and began chasing after her. She flew right towards the clouds with Ghidorah in hot pursuit. Ghidorah was so focused on Mothra that it didn't notice another titan coming right towards it.

Rodan, the fire demon.

Rodan slammed right into Ghidorah, catching it by surprise before backing away.

Seeing another titan joining the fray, Ghidorah snarled in frustration.

Deciding to go on the offensive, Rodan let out a roar as charged Ghidorah, with Ghidorah doing the same.

The two flying titans crashed into each other, clawing and biting at each other.

(With Raya's group)

"Jesus, they're killing each other," Chief Virana said.

Then, they noticed Mothra flying towards the two, intending on assisting Rodan.

(With Rodan and Ghidorah)

While Ghidorah was distracted, Mothra raised its sharp mantis-like forelimbs and brought them down on Ghidorah's back.

Ghidorah screeched out in pain as it knocked Rodan away with a lightning blast and turned around, only to receive a blast to all three heads courtesy of the laser beams from Mothra's antennas.

Mothra then charged at Ghidorah, intending to land another attack.

But Ghidorah had had enough of these nuisances. It waited until Mothra got close, then suddenly, it blasted Mothra with its lightning at close range.

Since Mothra was vulnerable to energy based attacks, along with how close she was, the lightning did a ton of damage.

When it stopped, Mothra's wings were in tatters, so she could barely stay air bored. Plus, that attack diminished a great deal of her stamina.

Suddenly, before she could react, Ghidorah flew straight at her, and the last thing she saw was one of Ghidorah's spiked tails coming right at her head.

The people of Kumandra could only watch in horror as the queen of the monsters was sent crashing down to the ground, skidding to a halt about a mile away from them.

They looked in worry as it tried to get up only to collapse once more.

A loud shrill caught their attention. They looked up and saw that Rodan had once again engaged Ghidorah. But this time, Ghidorah was ready.

The right and left heads each grabbed the tips of Rodan's wings, keeping pinned and extremely vulnerable. The middle head then blasts Rodan right in the chest with its Gravity Beam, gravely injuring Rodan and sending him crashing to the ground.

Ghidorah then lands on the ground, observing its fallen opponents. Then suddenly, Godzilla rams Ghidorah from the right, catching it by surprise and causing it to stagger back before regaining its footing.

Godzilla started charging again, but this time, Ghidorah had a plan. It fired its Gravity Beams at Godzilla's feet, causing him to lose his footing and fall.

Before he could get back on his feet, it suddenly felt two massive feet grabbed onto his back. The next thing he knew, he was in the air.

Ghidorah ascended higher and higher and higher. Until finally, they were above clouds and almost in space.

Then… Ghidorah let go.

Godzilla roared as he fell, gaining speed and even started to look like a falling meteor from the distance.

He hit the ground hard, resulting in a massive shock wave that went on for miles, blowing away Raya and everyone else.

Once they regained their bearings, they looked up and froze.

Ghidorah, the One Who is Many, managed to defeat the Queen of the Monsters, and Fire Demon, and even the King of the Monsters himself, single-handedly.

Then, everyone heard chirping. They looked towards Godzilla and saw Mothra climb up on top of him, and both of them were glowing.

The people realized that Mothra was transferring power to Godzilla.

Then, out of nowhere, another Gravity Beam struck Mothra, knocking her away.

Ghidorah then walked up to Godzilla, wrapping its three heads around him like a snake, and bit down, intending to drain the energy and take the power for itself.

Back on the cliffs, Raya and the others could only watch the event unfold.

"We have to do something," Raya shouted, "We can't let Ghidorah kill Godzilla."

"But what do you propose we do?" Namaari asked. "We would need something totally unexpected to get that thing to even glance at us."

Raya tried to think of something. Then, she saw a glow from a nearby cave.

"I have an idea."

Godzilla continued to struggle in vain as Ghidorah continued to drain the power he received from Mothra.

Then, he looked up and saw small creatures running above him with humans on their backs. Then, suddenly the humans dropped multiple bags onto Ghidorah's three heads.

Suddenly, upon contact, the bags opened up and the contents inside started exploding in different lights and colors.

Ghidorah let go and yelled in pain as the miniature explosions and bright lights were hurting its eyes.

(With Raya and the others)

"Gotta love Toot 'n' Booms!" Sisu shouted. The glow from the nearby cave turned out to be a nest of Toot 'n' Boom beetles. Using multiple sacks, Raya's group was able to capture a lot of them and use them to blind Ghidorah and make it let go of Godzilla.

Their victory didn't last long however as Ghidorah's attention was now on them.

Taking that as their que, they turned around and started moving as fast as they could.

Using the energy it consumed, Ghidorah charged up and released lightning from all over its body, knocking the group out of the sky.

Luckily, they weren't too far from the ground, so they weren't seriously injured. They got up and saw Ghidorah's heads descending towards them.

However, instead of being afraid, Raya smirked and said one thing.

"Long live the king."

A familiar growl came from behind Ghidorah as it noticed and sniffed the air.

Behind it, the landscape was starting to burn and melt under the sudden intense heat.

Then, out of the cloud of smoke, Godzilla roared, showing his body glowing a reddish-orange.

Ghidorah turned around and roared, realizing it had been tricked.

Using the distraction, Raya and her group got back on the dragons and managed to get far away to where everyone else had moved.

Behind Godzilla, Rodan picked up the injured Mothra, being careful not to cause any more harm to her, and also flew away from what was about to happen.

Godzilla began glowing brighter, lightning moving across his spines. Suddenly, he released a massive heatwave with an image of Mothra's wings within in all directions.

The heatwave hit Ghidorah, incinerating its wings.

Ghidorah tried attacking with its gravity beams, but they did not affect Godzilla at all.

Releasing another heatwave, Godzilla incinerated Ghidorah's right and left heads, leaving only the middle to face him.

Ghidorah roared again, probably begging for mercy, but Godzilla wasn't planning on granting any.

Godzilla placed his foot on Ghidorah's chest and pressed down, resulting in an enormous explosion. When the light of the explosion died down, everyone looked and saw what remained of their land.

Nothing. Nothing but a barren wasteland of rocks and ashes.

Suddenly, one of the rock piles began moving. From the rubble, Ghidorah rose.

"ARE YOU KIDDING ME!" Sisu shouted.

"How did that not kill him?" Raya questioned.

Everyone was shaking, thinking that NOTHING could stop The One Who Is Many.

The rubble shifted more and revealed that Ghidorah wasn't alone.

When the debris finally cleared, it showed Godzilla holding the severed head of Ghidorah in its mouth. He started dragging the head along the ground as Raya and the others watched in astonishment.

Finally, Godzilla started charging up its atomic breath with Ghidorah still in its mouth, the head also starting to glow blue.

All charged up, Godzilla fired his atomic breath into the sky, disintegrating Ghidorah's heads into nothingness. When he was done, he snapped his jaws shut, a bit of electricity cackling along his teeth.

And with that, Ghidorah, The One Who Is Many, was no more.

"Jesus," Tong muttered, "Good thing he's on our side."

"According to the legend," Benja said, "Godzilla isn't on anyone's side, his duty is to simply maintain the world's balance."

Then, Raya noticed something spectacular. More titans started showing up. There were so many different titans, ranging from a giant spider to a MUTO and more. Even Rodan came forth, gently placing Mothra down before landing next to her.

Godzilla nudged Mothra to see if she was still alive and thankfully, she was. Then, one by one, the titans surrounding Godzilla started bowing their heads to their rightful king.

Godzilla looked up towards the sky and released the biggest and loudest roar he could muster.

(A few months later)

Over time, the land that was desecrated eventually became lush with life.

On top of that, the Heart clan was able to rebuild their nation with the help of the other clans close to where the battle took place.

On top of that, Tong became the new chief of Spine and was doing an excellent job.

The forest where the battle took place had more plants and animals than anywhere else in Kumandra. Some people believe it had something to do with the titans.

The landscape became a landmark. One that would be called "The Titans Forest". Where two alpha titans, one good and one evil, clashed and the former prevailed.

At the center of the Titans Forest, there stood a shrine of Godzilla. And on the plaque at the base of the shrine with one sentence inscribed on it.

"One King To Rule Them All."

And done.

Yes, I did it. I achieved my goals of completing one story before the end of the year. And not a moment too soon.

I hope you liked the changes I made to the fight involving Mothra's fate.

Also, before I forget, a Fanfiction writer called "Japan Boy" said he's planning his own Godzilla x Raya and the Last Dragon fanfic and he would start when I am done with this story. So be sure to check it out when he uploads the first chapter.

That's all. Have a late Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Until next time.

See ya, probably wanna be ya!
