Hey loves! I'm back :) I'm so thankful that you are loving this story, and just like I promised, here's the expected Phil Collins tribute.
This chapter is dedicated to my friend FireGirl125, the author of Glee: The New York Story, if you haven't had a chance to read her story please do, it's incredible and she's talented. Anyways, I wanted to dedicate this chapter to her since she's been so supportive and despite my English sucks, she encourages me to keep writing, also she voted for a Phil Collins tribute in the twitter poll so…she wins :)
Just a few things before I'll start:
1.-Amanda (Dove Cameron), Santana (Naya Rivera), Brittany (Heather Morris), and Mercedes (Amber Riley) will be absent this chapter; Santana and Brittany because Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) made them go to their cheerleading National competition in Seattle and Amanda and Mercedes caught a cold so they are sick and resting in bed.
2.-Finn (Cory Monteith) will have a funny storyline in this chapter concerning Phil Collins but it gets confusing when he had a dream where he sang about Jesus despite his best friend Puck (Mark Salling) and his girlfriend Rachel (Lea Michele) are Jewish, so Puck intervenes.
3.-Danielle (Nathalia Ramos) starts her first day at McKinley and is welcomed into New Directions, but she is a victim of the slushy attack where she is helped by Olivia (Olivia Rodrigo), Rachel and Marley (Melissa Benoist) starting a friendship between the three of them,also she goes to the doctor's appointment to remove her cast.
4.-Rachel makes a plan to make Danielle smile and bring her confidence back, so she recruits her boyfriend and the boys to cheer her friend up, also she receives a mysterious text from her ex-boyfriend Jesse (Jonathan Groff), so she wants to find out the reason why.
5.-Kurt (Chris Colfer) meets a cute boy named Blaine Anderson (Darren Criss) at the music store and develops a crush on him.
6.-And as for Marley, she spends more time with her sister Kara (Melissa Benoist) now that she moved to Lima Ohio; also her feelings for Sebastian (Grant Gustin) develop into something more, which Sebastian reciprocates.

"He's sleeping in class" Josh said as he, Puck, Kurt and Mike where in history class, Finn was sleeping on his desk.
"Dude, wake up" Puck throws a paper ball to Finn's head.
"Huh?" Finn asks, disoriented and opens his eyes realizing that he just had a dream. "Crap!" So he sits straight on his seat and rubs his eyes. "Sorry guys"
"Yeah we noticed that big lug" Kurt said. "But please pay attention to class, Or else Mr. Schuester will send you to detention and we have the exam in two weeks"
"Dude, you and I will have a serious talk about it later" Puck said pointing at him with his finger.
"Anything you want to share with the class?" Will said, turning to his students. "Finn? In what year was declared the United States Independence?"
"Uh…1776, in Pennsylvania Philadelphia by Thomas Jefferson" Finn explains confusedly.
"That's correct," Will says, impressed. "Just please pay more attention to class, I don't want you to go to detention"
"Yes Mr. Schue" Finn nods as he slaps himself to stay awake in the class.
(Finn is at the history class looking at the board and taking notes as Will continues explaining The Declaration of the Independence)
Finn voice over:
It all started with that dream, the biggest and most incredible dream. honoring one of the geniuses in music: Mr Phil Collins, and I was recreating a music video. well...until I sang about Jesus and I was dressed as a televangelist; but almost every musician sang about Jesus, I mean…when Phil was the drummer in the band Genesis sang "Jesus he knows me", he even in the music video was dressed as a preacher.
(There's a flashback of Finn sitting in the living room watching television)
It all happened because I stayed up all night watching Tarzan; we had a Disney tribute in glee club last week and Tarzan is my favorite movie; but most importantly, Phil Collins sang in the soundtrack. I hope I can be as talented as he is
(Another flashback is shown, where a twelve-year old Finn with long hair is in the passenger's seat with his mom as she drives and they sing "On my way" by Phil Collins from Brother Bear soundtrack on the radio)
When I was a kid, I was a huge fan of Phil. He's not only an amazing singer, His drum's skills are incredible. I even had all his CD's
(Scene changes to Finn walking down the halls confidently)
As a Glee stud, having a hot girlfriend like Rachel by my side and being popular, I declare that today is Phil Collins's week.
Finn was in his locker putting away his letterman jacket when someone shut the locker door making him jump, he immediately discovered that it was his best friend.
"Puck, what the hell is wrong with you?" Finn protested. "You almost gave me a heart attack"
"Me?" Puck points at himself. "You tell me; dude, you were sleeping in history class, you were lucky that Mr. Schuester didn't notice or else you'd be in detention all day"
"Since when do you care about school?" Finn wanted to know with interest. "You only think about seducing naive young girls and sleeping with cougars. no offense"
"point taken,"Puck said. "But we're not talking about me, we're talking about you. You're not one of those people who falls asleep in class, you're the captain of the glee club, a good student, our quarterback and your girlfriend who, although she's a bit annoying, she can sing and is a hot jew; you are the golden boy, and the worst of all...you had a dream about Jesus, do you have any idea how serious that is?"
I wasn't dreaming about Jesus," Finn explained. "I was singing a Phil Collins hit when he was the drummer for the band Genesis and the song was "Jesus he knows me."
"That's exactly what I say" replied his friend. "Finn, the song mentions Jesus; we don't want to repeat of the sophomore year incident where you saw the face of Christ on your grilled cheese sandwich"
"You got a problem with Jesus?" Finn wanted to his arms.
"I'm a total Jew for Jesus," Puck said. "He's my number one Hebe. What I don't like seeing is people using J-Money to cramp everybody else's style 'cause it seems to me that true spirituality- or whatever you want to call it- is about enjoying the life that you've been given. - I see God every time I make out with a new chick"
"What's your point man?"" Finn raises his hands to stop him. " I only said that I had a dream where I sang a song by Phil Collins and you completely strayed from the topic"
"Dude, I'm just saying that if you don't want to make Rachel uncomfortable being Jewish and respect her roots, don't mention Jesus in a song" Puck told him. "If you want to sing something by Phil, I'll support you. actually..." he scratched his chin thoughtfully. "I have an idea. why not start with one of his biggest hits as a solo artist?"
("Don't lose my number by Phil Collins" starts playing as Finn and Puck walk confidently down the halls, all the students are looking at them)
[Finn]

"Woo!" New Directions clapped and cheered excitedly once Finn and Puck finished their performance.
"Finn, Puck, guys! spectacular!" Will Schuester said happily as he claps as well. "You guys didn't even need an assignment to work on this. You just did it."
"Mister Schuester" Rachel raises her hand. "while the performance was excellent, particularly the drumming…don't you think that the subject matter is about a troublesome kid named Billy who runs away from home?"
"Well, that depends on what Finn and Puck's intent was when they chose this song" Will wanted to know, staring intently at the two boys who were standing in the middle of the choir room.
"I love Phil Collins," Finn finally said.
"I knew Finn would come out of the closet really soon," Jake points out with a smirk.
"I love his music, okay?" Finn confessed. "He's really awesome, so Puck and I shared with you how he has influenced me"
"That's why we wanted to give you an example," Puck said. "my friend Finn here" he adds wrapping around his best friend´s shoulders. "is a huge fan, and I respect Phil Collins, the man is so talented, Although he has already retired from music, his legacy continues"
"Against all odds" it's my favorite ballad from him" Olivia points out with a smile.
"I love "Groovy kind of love," Danielle said, smiling. "And he did an amazing job with the soundtracks from the Disney movies "Tarzan and Brother Bear"
"As I was saying" Finn continued explaining. "the musical genius of Phil Collins, and like any musician of his time, when you dominate that period with such success, people tend to make fun of you and put them down, but the truth is he's a musical legend, and I'm tired of people making fun of him; and I´m gonna dedicate a good part of my future ensuring that this genius is understood and appreciated. I am no longer in the closet about my love for Phil Collins" said that, Finn walked to his seat, sat next to Rachel and kissed her sweetly on the lips.
"Finn and Puck...you just gave me the assignment of the week." Will Schuester confidently walked over to the white board and wrote "Phil Collins." "What do you guys think of when you hear this name?"
"This is the second time we've given him the week´s assignment," Artie whispers to Ryder who nods.
"Phil is a musical prodigy," Kurt said. "Not only he was in a huge band like Genesis, he also formed part of my childhood when he contributed his music to some important Disney movies"
"When he was younger played drums at the age of five and completed drama school training" Marley says amazed. "which secured him various roles as a child actor, with his first major role, aged 13, as the Artful Dodger in the West End musical Oliver"
"Oh my God Phil Collins was on Broadway and I'm realizing by now" Rachel exclaims shocked.
"It's okay baby" Finn calms his girlfriend, holding her hand. "it's good to learn that fun fact about him"
"Broadway is in New York Rachel" Sebastian corrects the brunette politely. "Phil is from England"
"Still, it's amazing" Rachel exclaims, surprised. "He got the talent as a young boy"
"I love his music," Josh points out. "He is one of only three recording artists, along with Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson, who have sold over 100 million records both as solo artists and separately as principal members of a band"
"That's right," Will Schuester said, explaining. "as all of you explained, Phil Collins has won eight Grammy Awards, six Brit Awards (winning Best British Male Artist three times), two Golden Globe Awards, one Academy Award, and a Disney Legend Award, He was awarded six Ivor Novello Awards from the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors, including the International Achievement Award. He received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1999, and was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2003 and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Genesis in 2010" he puts the cap back on the marker and looks at his students. "So the assignment for this week will be for you to find the greatest hits by Phil Collins that everyone knows him for"
"Yeah! Phil Collins´s week" Ryder says smiling.
"Before we continue, I want to introduce our newest glee club member" Will said, indicating Danielle to stand up and walk to the middle of the choir room, she walks in her crutches. "Everyone, please welcome Miss Danielle Wyatt" the kids start clapping at her politely.
"Thank you" Danielle said smiling and then returned to her seat.
"Is it me or is there a shortage of people today?" Puck asked, looking at the four empty seats.
"No, it's weird," Finn said. "Amanda, Santana, Mercedes and Brittany never miss a rehearsal"
"Santana and Brittany had their national cheerleading competition in Seattle," Tina explained. "Sue Sylvester said it was mandatory"
"and Amanda and Mercedes caught a cold last weekend," Artie commented. "They're on bed rest and taking online classes; they both regret not being here"
"None of us caught a cold," Jake said. "'How did they get sick?'
"Sudden weather changes" Mike said.. "One day it's suffocating hot and the next it's cold out of the North Pole"
"I hope they get better," Rachel said sadly. "They will miss the Phil Collins´s tribute"
"So is Santana and Brittany," Marley said. "We know they're at their cheerleading competition now, but they love being here too"
"We will miss the girls," Will said. "However we must continue because it's what they would have wanted" Marley raised her hand suddenly. "Yes Marley? Do you want to contribute something in the tribute to Phil?"
"Actually I just remember that "Another day in paradise" it's my favorite ballad by Phil Collins," Marley confessed shyly as a sweet smile appeared on her beautiful face. "So...if it's okay, I'd like to sing it."
"Allright" Will Schuester smiles. "the floor is yours" then he goes to sit down.
"I would like Rachel, Olivia and Danielle to help me" commented Marley. "I don't want to sing alone"
"Sure" Rachel got up from her seat and went to stand next to Marley.
"Me?" Danielle asked, confused pointing at herself.
"Yes, you too," Olivia said softly, taking her hand. "Come on, let's sing "Another day in paradise" with Rachel and Marley"
"I... I don't know" Danielle confessed a little fearfully. "I can barely walk with these crutches"
"Don´t worry, this song is a ballad so you don't have to dance," Marley told her. "but we want you to sing with us"
"Okay" Danielle nods smiling and with her crutches she approaches the girls. "I'll do it"
"That's the spirit girl" Artie raises his hand in agreement, now that he saw clearly, the new girl with red hair was very cute.
"You can do this Dani" Rachel grabs Danielle´s hand and squeezes it softly as support, to which Danielle gives her a silent thank you.
(The girls sit on some stools as Rachel and Olivia help Danielle to sit down and Will grabs Danielle crutches so she can be more comfortable; the band start playing "Another Day in Paradise" by Phil Collins; Rachel, Marley, Olivia and Danielle sing beautifully and their voices harmonize together incredibly, New Directions and Will are amazed with their performance; Rachel, Marley and Olivia give Danielle friendly smiles as she reciprocates and they continue singing)

"Beautiful" Will said, clapping with a smile as everyone else followed his lead. "great job ladies"
"Thank you" the four girls said in unison, when they realized they were speaking in chorus, they looked at each other confused and immediately started laughing before returning to their seats; The teacher handed Danielle back her crutches and helped her sit up.
An hour later, Danielle is looking at her class schedules standing by her locker when she feels something cold and sticky being thrown at her face.
"Taste the rainbow glee-atch!" Azimio laughed, bumping his fist with Karofsky.
"Oh my God poor Danielle" Rachel exclaimed horrorized as she, Marley and Olivia watched how Danielle was slushied by the football players. "She was another slushy victim"
"I hate those things," Olivia said. "Your eyes burn, it's cold and sticky"
"Let's help her" Marley said to her friends and the three of them approached Danielle, who wiped the slushy away from her face. "Danielle, are you okay?"
"My eyes are burning" Danielle says, rubbing her eyes and shivering. "And I'm…cold. G…great…first I…I twisted my ankle and t…then I…I got slushied"
"Well…welcome to glee club" Rachel says as the redhead starts laughing. "Come on Dani, let's get you cleaned up"
"Thank you" Danielle said as she, Rachel, Marley and Olivia took her to the girl's bathroom to clean her up. "Oh gosh that was awful, did you guys were slushied too?"
"Oh yes" Olivia says, taking a piece of toilet paper and starts wiping the slushie from Danielle's hair and face. "When I first joined glee club Quinn Fabray and Kitty Wilde wanted me to join the cheerios, of course I said no"
"You would look so pretty as a cheerleader Libby" Rachel smiles at her friend and continues cleaning Danielle.
"Nah, I'm okay," Olivia says. "Besides, it's cooler being in New Directions than a cheerio. Just think about it, Santana and Brittany had to travel to Seattle for a competition and missed the rehearsal"
"We will tell them when they come back" Marley says, helping Danielle to wash her face and hair. "By the way, I wanted to thank you guys for singing with me a few hours ago," she added with a sweet smile.
"You're welcome Marley" Rachel smiles. "It was fun, actually I really missed singing in glee club. it felt like the old days"
"Yeah I enjoyed it too" Danielle says wiping her face and hair with a towel. "To be honest, I love being here, I wouldn't trade it for the world. I was on Vocal Adrenaline and it wasn't that much fun, it was all about looking good and you were pushed to be perfect all the time"
"We saw you dancing tap at one of your rehearsals" Olivia said. "It was so cool, despite Finn, Kurt and I were shocked to see Rachel in the rival choir"
"About that…" Rachel looks down embarrassed.
"Hey, it's okay" Marley puts her hand on Rachel's shoulder. "You're back in glee club, that's what really matters"
"Yeah I am," Rachel smiles. "For good and I'm not going anywhere. Well…until I graduate from high school of course"
"we're all going to graduate eventually," Olivia reminded. "well…next year Rachel and Marley will be seniors, while Danielle and I will be juniors"
"Just only I will be a senior with Puck, Mike, Finn, Amanda, Santana, Kurt and Brittany" Rachel explained. "Marley, Artie, Josh, Sebastian, Jake, Ryder, Tina, Danielle and you will still have two years still to graduate"
"There's still too much time left," said Danielle. "and I don't want to remember the person I was when I was in Vocal Adrenaline. I was equal to or worse than Jenna; I was cruel, petty and made Rachel's life's living hell. My life took a 360 degree turn when I broke my ankle and Jenna betrayed me. I think karma taught me a lesson after all"
You changed for the better Dani" Rachel said to the redhead girl. "You proved to be sweet, kind and nice. this Danielle Wyatt, loving and loyal, she is the real you"
"Yes I am" Danielle says and her eyes start to fill with tears. "I'm sorry, I don't know why I got emotional so suddenly" she wipes her tears quickly. "I'd never had real friends before and I felt very lonely"
"Well, we're your friends now Danielle" Marley says sweetly. "And you can always count us in anywhere you want or need. We are not going to judge you for who you were in the past. If you look at Rach, Olivia or me, each one of us has a story to tell. For example, I'm not rich. my mom is the lunch lady who everyone makes fun of for being fat, my mom sews my Walmart sweaters with J-Crew tags on, I'm adopted..."
"I'm the only daughter of a widowed man and a loving father, my boyfriend cheated on me with another girl and that led me to write depressing songs..." Olivia points out.
"I have two gay dads, I'm also adopted, I never knew my biological mother and I'm Jewish" Rachel answered.
"Okay, I guess all of you have an interesting story to tell" Danielle says sadly. "Mine is depressing; my father cheated on my mother with my babysitter when I was eleven, my uncle Frankie touched me inappropriately, at fourteen I lost my virginity to my brother's best friend, I came to Carmel High where it was all appearances, Jenna Castleworth, the perfect blonde girl with the face of an angel felt sorry for me and pretended to be my friend, but since I felt fat I started to make myself vomit and stop eating" Danielle's voice cracked. "I felt ugly and obese, although everyone around me including my mom and brother saw me skinny as spaghetti. I ended up in the hospital for anemia and dehydration, in fact that happened when I passed out in one of the rehearsals before Rachel joined the choir"
"Wait a minute…that happened to you before?" Rachel was shocked. "Danielle, why didn't you tell me?"
"Because in front of Jenna and the others I had to pretend that nothing happened" Danielle said with her eyes full of tears. "I felt alone, my fake friends didn't care and they didn't come to see me when I was in the hospital. The doctor diagnosed me with bulimia and immediately sent me to therapy "the tears ran down her cheeks. Currently I am healthy except for my ankle but... the scars are still there"
"We're here to heal your broken heart and clean you up when you get slushied" Olivia says with a smile. "That's what friends are for"
"Oh my God, really?" Danielle asks tearfully. "Am I not dreaming?"
"Of course we are Danielle, you are not alone" Marley tells her. "And when you need a shoulder to cry on; Rachel, Olivia and I'll be there for you"
Danielle can't take it anymore and breaks down sobbing, she continues crying as the tears fall down her beautiful face as Rachel, Marley and Olivia approach her to give her a big and comforting hug.
"Thank you" Danielle sobs as she hugs her new and real friends.
"It's okay" Rachel says, running her hands through her red soft curls.
"I'm sorry" Danielle breaks apart sheepishly and wipes her tears. "I didn't mean to cry"
"Don't be ashamed to cry" Olivia tells her. "We're not going to judge for that"
"Thank you so much" Danielle thanked them. "Hey um…tomorrow I have an appointment with the doctor, she is going to remove my cast. Do you want to come with me?"
"We'd love to," Marley tells her with a smile.
"Soon you will see that you're going to get better and you will dance like before" Rachel told her.
"I really hope so," Danielle sighs sadly. "It's depressing to walk on crutches, it's not fun and it's uncomfortable. I can't even bend down to pick up my stuff when I drop it on the floor."
"And you will," Olivia promised her with a smile as both girls left the girl's bathroom and headed to the cafeteria for lunch.
"You should have seen Danielle Finn" Rachel said to her boyfriend when they were both in the girl's room talking, he was sitting on her bed and she was standing in front of him. "She was very depressed because she can't dance, since she sprained the ankle she was never the same again"
"I don't deny that I feel bad for Danielle," Finn confessed. "Do you remember the other day when you and I were making out in the backseat of my truck when we saw her walking into school on crutches? I never thought that this would affect her"
"It's hard how an accident affects someone's life" commented Rachel. "and previously Danielle already had very deep wounds in her heart, the accident was the straw that broke the camel's back. she didn't deserve it"
"I don't know Rach," Finn said to his beautiful girlfriend. "I want to believe that Danielle is telling the truth and changed for the better but... on the other hand, I think that when she walks again she will be the girl who made your life,s living hell along with Jenna when you were in Vocal Adrenaline, I don't want her to hurt you"
"Babe, Danielle is no longer that mean girl okay? she really suffered a lot and she had a very painful past," Rachel told him. "Now I know, you have to trust me. Marley, Olivia and I trust her and she showed that she´s nice and kind-hearted" Finn took a deep breath and looked at his girlfriend.
"I know that look," Finn points out, staring intently at her.
"I don't know what you mean," Rachel shrugged.
"You're about to get away with it," Finn replied with a smirk. "so, spit it out"
Okay, I want to cheer Danielle up because she's depressed that she can't dance and I need your help" Rachel said, making a cute puppy face. "Please Finny"
"Oh no, you know I can't resist that cute face," Finn asked. "Rachel, come on"
"Please" Rachel pouts still with the puppy face. "please help me, please"
"Oh alright" Finn sighs in surrender and then smiles "How can I help you?"
"You recruit the guys and I'll do the rest," Rachel told him with a confident smile.
"Deal" Finn smiles and takes her hand to shake it with hers, but instead pulls her closer and kisses her to seal the deal, Rachel smiles against his lips.
The next day, Rachel is in the astronomy room sitting at the desk and banging the mallet on the notebook. Across from her, sitting at her desks, were Josh, Sebastian, Puck, Mike, Jake, and Ryder.
"I don't understand why Rachel Berry is leading the assembly," said Puck, confused. "They made us leave soccer practice for this?"
"Let her talk" Finn said and looked at his girlfriend encouraging her to lead the meeting.
"This emergency meeting is now in session" Rachel says. "I asked Finn to recruit you boys for an important mission, and it concerns my friend Danielle, her heart is crushed…and I'm sure you guys can fix it again"
"Us?" The boys except Finn protested in unison.
"Danielle had an accident that broke her ankle," Finn commented. "She's on crutches and she can't dance anymore."
"How can we help a poor girl out of depression when she twisted her ankle in the first place?" Jake asked as Rachel folded her arms and stared at him.
"Danielle is sad, and I know you guys can fix it; since in glee club we are a family and families are there for each other" Rachel said with a smile before her face turned cold. "Now…stop being chickens before a girl needs you now and I suggest you to hurry up because Danielle´s passion is dancing"
"Wait a minute, Danielle can dance?" Ryder asks.
"Oh yes she does" Finn says. "when my brother, Olivia and I sneaked into one of the Vocal Adrenaline rehearsals we saw her tap dancing"
"I also saw her dance," Josh comments. "at sectionals when Vocal Adrenaline performed "Don´t stop me now", although she was on crutches, which was so hard for her, however she continued dancing. So if Artie can dance in a wheelchair, why Danielle can´t?"
"I agree with Josh," Finn said. "Artie can dance without being able to walk, so we can make her regain her "
"Okay" Rachel said. "let's focus on helping Danielle"
"But you told us that we have to help her, not you," Mike protested.
"Oh I know," Rachel smirked. "But I will be there too; just follow my plan and everything will work out"
"well…if you insist…" Puck started saying unconvinced.
"You go to the auditorium. I'll do the rest" Rachel said to the boys as she left the classroom.
"Dude, don´t you think that your girlfriend is really bossy sometimes?" Artie asks Finn. "no offense"
"No, she doesn't. it's called being a leader" Finn responded with a half smirk on his handsome face; the rest of the boys except Josh and Sebastian rolled their eyes at him.
"Hey Dani, do you have a minute?" Rachel said walking to Danielle´s locker, she was putting some books inside. "I need to talk to you"
"Sure" Danielle closes her locker and looks at her friend. "What is it? Are you coming to my doctor's appointment this afternoon, right? my cast will be removed and frankly I'm kind of freaking out"
"Of course I'm coming with you," Rachel assured her. "I will hold your hand at all times; I don't think they'll let us all go to the office, but if you want me to come in with the doctor, I understand; Marley and Olivia will be in the waiting room"
"Thank you" Danielle sighs with relief. "I can't wait for my cast to come off; it feels weird on my foot"
"You'll dance again, I promise" Rachel told her. "I know you're passionate about dancing; you were one of the best dancers in Vocal Adrenaline"
"You said it Rachel, I was" Danielle replied. "Now I'm in New Directions and I love it. I'm happy here. So if I dance again it will be for the McKinley's glee club"
"Speaking of dancing... I need you to come with me to the auditorium" Rachel told Danielle as she linked her arm with hers.
"Why? What is it?" Danielle was confused as they walked towards the auditorium; well…Danielle on her crutches. "Rachel…I can't dance, I twisted my ankle, remember?"
"You have to trust me, okay?" Rachel tells her softly. "It's a surprise"
Just as they entered the auditorium; Danielle saw that all the boys of New Directions were on stage wearing blue suits and black bows.
"What's going on here?" Danielle asked confused when she saw that the boys were standing in the middle of the stage.
"Dani, just wait, okay" Rachel responded as she kept grabbing her hand.
"Fine" Danielle simply responded as she sighed.
"Danielle, we know that you are now depressed since what happened when you twisted your ankle so…Rachel had a great idea of how we can help you" Artie started saying as Danielle turned to look at the brunette who simply shrugged.
"Maybe you can't dance right away," Josh continued. "But that doesn't mean we can't make you smile"
"We think that as you love to dance so much, we want to help you to believe in it again" Ryder continued.
"Guys…I don't know how I can be happy since I don't dance anymore" Danielle responded sadly. "Although I really appreciate your effort"
"Just listen to them, okay?" Rachel replied, staring at her intently. "Trust me"
"You love to dance more than anything in this world," Puck said, staring at her. "And is not too late to believe again; so…we'll sing something to make you smile and we want you to listen to the lyrics of the song really carefully because it´s exactly how you feel"
"Depressed?" Danielle asked.
"Nope," Finn continued with a smirk. "Dancing is your passion, and considering we're honoring Phil Collins's music legacy, we chose a song perfect for the occasion"
"That was a long time ago" Danielle responded as Rachel sighed in surrender. "Fine…if you say so"
Rachel looks at the boys with a smirk indicating them to start singing, Danielle simply looks at them with sadness.
(The band start playing "Dance into the light by Phil Collins as the boys sing and dance to cheer Danielle up; Rachel looks at her friend with a smile, little by little Danielle warms up and enjoys the boy's performance)

The performance ended and everyone applauded; Danielle felt much more moved than before.
"Don't cry" Tina told the redhead as she fanned her in the face.
"I can't help it," Danielle said tearfully. "It's the best surprise I've ever had. '' She looked at the boys who were still on stage. "Thank you guys so much for this" then she looked at Rachel. "but most of all to Rachel for being there for me"
"It's what friends do" Rachel smiled and hugged Danielle.
That afternoon, Kurt was at the music store browsing through the different vinyl records looking for Phil Collins hoping to find the right song to sing at the glee club.
"Do you need help with that?" a male voice made Kurt look up to see the most handsome boy he had ever seen. "I see you're looking for an album"
"Me?" Kurt hesitated suddenly, the boy who spoke to him was really cute. "I mean…" he smiled nervously. "Yeah I'm looking for Phil Collins. I'm in the McKinley glee club called New Directions and we're doing a tribute; I mean, Phil is still alive but he doesn't sing anymore so we're honoring his musical legacy..." "sorry I talked too much"
"No, it's fine," the boy smiled. "It's interesting; I'm in a choir too, but this one it's different, we are all men, we wear uniforms as if we were in Hogwarts and we sing acapella" said the boy with a smile. "We are called The Warblers; I actually attend a boarding school called Dalton Academy where we have a no bullying policy. I'm Blaine by the way" he held out his hand. "Blaine Anderson, and you are?"
"Kurt Hummel," Kurt says, shaking hands with him. "It's really nice to meet you," he says blushing.
"Nice to meet you too" Blaine says. "Please no offense but…you look cute when you blush"
"Wait…are you gay" Kurt asks as Blaine smiles.
"Yes I am," Blaine says. "And single"
"Me too," Kurt said and both laughed. "It's weird that we're flirting when we just met, I don't know... five minutes ago?"
"I know," Blaine said, smiling. "But you are an interesting person to talk to, so…Phil Collins, huh?" Blaine says as he sees through the vinyl CD's until he finds one with Phil Collins on the cover. "Here you go"
"Oh my God" Kurt smiles. "Thank you so much, this was just what I was looking for. Thank you so much Blaine Warbler"
"Just call me Blaine," Blaine chuckles.
"So…you work here?" Kurt smiles, taking the vinil and walking towards the cash desk to pay.
"No, this is my favorite music store in Lima Ohio"" Blaine says, grabbing his own vinyl. "I just bought the recent album of Olivia Rodrigo, that girl is so talented and she's only 19 years old"
"How funny" Kurt chuckles. "There's a girl in glee club named Olivia Michaels and she looks exactly like Olivia Rodrigo. Actually they could be identical twins"
"Just like the Prince and the pauper" Blaine laughs and puts his vinil in the cash register. "Hey George, I'm going to take this one"
"Kid, This is the fourth time you've come this week," said the owner of the music store whose name was George laughing. "I'll have to give you a frequent customer card"
"I can't help it, it's my favorite music store" Blaine smiles and then looks at the pretty boy. "By the way, this is Kurt, he's going to buy this album" George sees the Phil Collins vinyl and smiles.
"Great choice" the old man smiles as he scans the barcode and charges the vinil. "Hey Blaine, you should learn your friend, he has excellent taste in music"
"Shut up" Blaine laughs and looks at Kurt. "Please excuse George, he's like a grandfather to me"
"It's fine by me" Kurt smiles as he pays George. "I wish my grandfather was still alive"
"I'm sorry" Blaine says, paying his own Vinyl as they thanked George. "I think I know how you can feel better" he smiles while taking Kurt's Vinyl and plays one of the songs.
"Can we do that?" Kurt asks, confused.
"Why do you think I like coming here?" Blaine said with a smile. "We can play our music."

"What are you doing this friday night?" Kurt asks confidently as Blaine looks at him with a smile. Accidently, Kurt just asked Blaine on a date but that was definitely a good thing.
Rachel drove to the clinic where Danielle would have her appointment with the doctor to remove her cast, Marley and Olivia were also in the car.
"Nervous?" Olivia asked Danielle, noticing that she was playing with her hands nervously.
"What if the doctor tells me that I can't walk again?" Danielle said fearfully. "I severely twisted my ankle and nothing will ever be the same"
"Don't think about it yet" Marley told her "Better think positive and tell yourself you're going to walk again" Danielle nods.
You're right, I'm going to think positive" Danielle replied. "Would you come into the office with me? I'm scared"
"I don't think they'll let us all in," Rachel said. "If you want, Marley can go with you, Olivia and I will wait in the waiting room"
"I think it's for the best that you go with Danielle Rach" Marley told her. "after all she knows you better"
"Fine, if you insist" Rachel nods as she parked outside the clinic and the four girls got out of the car and went inside the building.
"Good afternoon, how can I help you?" a young receptionist asked as Danielle walked to the front desk.
"Hello, I have an appointment with Dr. Rochester," said Danielle. "My name is Danielle Wyatt"
"Let me see" the receptionist checked her schedule and searched the database on the computer. "Danielle Evangeline Wyatt, age 16, broken ankle…" She read the file and then looked at the girl with a smile. "Of course Danielle, the doctor is waiting for you. She is about to finish her appointment with another patient and it's your turn"
"Thank you so much Miss"" Danielle says.
"Please call me Katie," the receptionist says with a smile. "If you want, you can have a seat while you wait; "I'll let you know when you can go in"
"Okay" Danielle said as she walked on her crutches and sat in the waiting room with Olivia, Rachel and Marley.
What did the receptionist tell you?" Marley asked as Danielle went to sit down.
"The doctor is with another patient" explained Danielle. "in a moment they call me"
"I know you're nervous Dani, but everything is going to be alright" Rachel rubbed her arm. "Remember I'll go in with you"
"Danielle Wyatt?" Katie called Danielle's name as she got up from the seat with Rachel, Marley and Olivia followed her lead. "You can go in now"
"Thank you" Danielle says. "Can my friends come with me?"
"Preferably one person can go with you" Katie told her. "no more people are allowed in the office"
"I understand," Danielle said. "Rachel, are you coming with me?"
"Of course" Rachel said looking at Marley and Olivia feeling bad that they couldn't get in.
"You guys go, we'll wait out here" Olivia said.
"Okay" Danielle said as she and Rachel entered the doctor's office and the door was closed; Olivia and Marley returned to the waiting room.
"Hello Danielle" Dr. Rochester greeted, she was a beautiful, middle-aged woman with brown hair. "I was waiting for you"
"Hi doctor" greeted Danielle.
"I see that you brought some company with you" spotted the doctor with a smile as she looked at the short brunette girl who was in the office with her patient.
"This is my friend Rachel Berry" Danielle introduced her to the doctor. "My other friends Marley Rose and Olivia Michaels are in the waiting room"
"I'm glad that you have amazing friends who always take care of you" she then shake hands with Rachel. "Nice to meet you Rachel"
"Nice to meet you too doctor" Rachel says politely.
"Call me Susan, please have a seat" the doctor indicated as the girls sat in front of the desk. "So Danielle, "How did you feel after our last appointment?"
"I'm a little uncomfortable with the cast and crutches but I'm used to it," she confessed. "I'm just afraid that I won't walk again"
"Don't worry," smiled the doctor. "You will be walking again soon, for now we will remove your cast and you will continue on crutches for another week until your ankle is completely healed due to a severe fracture. I also recommend that you go to physical therapy to regain mobility in your ankle, okay?"
of course" agreed Danielle. "whatever you told me"
"Okay" the doctor got up from the desk. "Now go to the stretcher, I will remove the cast and I want to know how your ankle is doing, if it is still swollen I will take some x-rays"
"I'm scared" Danielle looks at Rachel.
"It's okay," Rachel calmed her. "Don't forget to breathe and listen to the doctor"
Danielle nods as she limps on her crutches to the stretcher and sits down, The doctor takes a pair of scissors, removes the lock and cuts the edge of the cast to slowly unroll, freeing the beautiful redhead's bare foot. During this process, Rachel took her friend's hand to give her courage.
"Done" the doctor says putting the used cast in the trash can and then putting the scissors on the pencil-case. "Okay, let's continue. Do you feel pain when I press here?" The doctor presses her thumb on Danielle's foot.
"No" said Danielle, in fact she didn't feel any pain
. "And here?" the doctor pressed again on the other side of her foot.
"Ow!" Danielle exclaimed and jumped. "that hurt"
"You still have a swollen ankle, Danielle," the doctor told her. "It hasn't healed completely, I'm going to do the x-rays and you need to take physical therapy. You won't be wearing a cast anymore but you'll continue with the crutches and you'll put on cold compresses to loosen the muscle and hot to relax. Also try not to make sudden movements" Danielle nods sadly.
Does that mean she can't dance?" Rachel asked. "Since her ankle is swollen."
"For now it is not recommended that Danielle make sudden movements" commented the doctor gently. "Until her ankle is completely healed, that's why it's essential that she start physical therapy as soon as possible so that she can regain mobility"
"I get it," Danielle said. "I'll be sad, I won't be able to dance for a long time, but if it's to make my ankle heal, I'll do anything"
"I'm going to proceed with the x-rays, lay down please" the doctor indicated to Danielle as she lay on the stretcher, the doctor put the x-ray machine under Danielle's ankle. "Try to relax, the process is quick and you won't feel any pain"
Danielle closed her eyes to relax as the doctor took X-rays of her ankle; Rachel took her friend's hand and squeezed it lightly. little by little the x-rays were scanned into the computer.
"I'm done," the doctor announced, turning off the machine. "Okay Dani, you can open your eyes and get up. That would be all for now"
Thank you doctor" Danielle said getting up carefully on the stretcher, Rachel helped her up and gave her the crutches. "Which is the diagnosis?"
"Put compresses on your ankle, use your crutches and you can't dance young lady" the doctor told her in a motherly tone. "The X-rays will be in 2 days so you can come pick them up. And lastly..." the doctor wrote some notes on a letterhead and handed it to her. "apply ointment to the affected area every night before bed and take Advil to reduce inflammation every 8 hours before each meal, morning and night"
"Okay" Danielle nods, putting on her shoe and shakes hands with the doctor.
"Thank you so much" Rachel says, also shaking hands with the doctor.
"It's a pleasure," the doctor says with a smile. "Go and rest Danielle"
"I will, thank you" Danielle said as she and Rachel left the doctor's office.
As soon as Rachel and Danielle left Dr. Rochester's office, Olivia and Marley stood up and walked over to them.
"What happened?" Marley asked. "What did the doctor say?"
"Danielle still has a broken ankle," Rachel explained. "so she will continue to use the crutches for another week and must attend physical therapy to regain mobility"
"I'm sorry to hear that," Olivia said sadly.
"Don't worry, I'll be fine" Danielle assured her gently. "The good news is that I won't be wearing a cast anymore, so it helped me in a way" the girls sighed in relief.
"I broke my arm when I was twelve years old and definitely the least I liked was wearing a cast," said Marley. "I know what it feels like"
"Marley Rose, you are my best friend and you never told me that you broke your arm as a child" Rachel blurted out in surprise.
"Now you know Rach, '' Marley said and the girls laughed. "I hadn't told anyone, not even Kara and she's my sister"
"Does Millie even know?" Olivia asked.
"She was there when it happened so yeah," Marley said. "I fell out of a tree trying to save a poor little kitten stuck in one of the branches. And while my mom appreciated my heroics, she was also concerned and forbade me to ever climb trees except for Rachel's treehouse in her yard, that one has stairs"
"That's nothing," Olivia commented. "When I was four years old trying to chase a squirrel in my garden I fell on a rosebush and I got thorns all over my body. I looked worse than Christ when they put the crown of thorns on his head." Marley, Rachel, and Danielle hissed in pain.
"And how come you don't have scars?" Danielle asked. "If that had happened to me, I would surely look like a human cactus"
"My mom took me to the doctor that same day, he had to do stitches and remove the thorns" said Olivia. "It was a very painful process because it stung; but I did not have any sequelae after that"
"Wow, those are urban legends," Rachel said. "Ok, let's pay for Danielle's doctor's appointment and then we can go for an ice cream"
"I'm in" Danielle smiled.
"Me too," Olivia said. "Are you coming Marley?"
"I'd love to, but I promised Kara I'd spend the rest of the afternoon with her," Marley said. "It is her first week in Lima since she moved from National City and now we can have a moment as siblings"
"We understand, and I'm glad you can be with Kara longer" Rachel said and looked at Danielle and Olivia. "Did you know that Finn and I made Kara and Marley meet?"
"Really?" Olivia asked with a smile. "that's awesome"
"Yeah, it was them," said Marley. "And I will always be thankful for that, I wouldn't have met my sister if it wasn't for Finn and Rachel."
"you¡re welcome" Rachel smiled and then walked to the receptionist who was typing on her computer. "hey Katie"
"Hi," the receptionist Katie smiles. "How was the appointment with the doctor?"
"Well, she is the best doctor in Lima, Ohio." Danielle smiled. "She took my cast off but since my ankle is still swollen I must continue to use crutches and she recommended physical therapy. In three days I have to come for my x-ray results"

"Allright Libby, let's go Rachel shook her head laughing and the girls got in the car, later she would tell the others what happened with Jesse's mysterious message.
Having finished her afternoon chatting and eating ice cream, Rachel returned to McKinley to go to the auditorium to meet Jesse, however she was not alone as Olivia offered to go with her to find out what Jesse was up to.

The song ended and Rachel and Olivia applauded politely, but Rachel's joy did not reach her eyes, Finn had watched everything and was not happy at all, in fact he wanted to kick Jesse's ass for trying to flirt with his girlfriend.

"That was lovely," Rachel simply said, wiping her tears. "And I really appreciate it, but that doesn't change a thing.. I won't get back together with you. ours is history. period"

"Finn…" Jesse starts saying but Finn raises a hand to stop him.

On the other hand, Marley and Kara laughed while baking chocolate chip cookies, Marley already had experience in the area because her mother worked in the school cafeteria and since she was a child she learned to bake, Kara was not so lucky, still, Marley explained to her sister
"I don't understand why your cookies are soft and mine look like rocks" Kara said frustrated and when she tried to bite it she couldn't because of the hardness of its texture. "I think I'm lousy at baking"

"I know I live in Ohio now and I did it to be closer to you but…eventually I need to find my own space" Kara told her. "It's not right that I live in your mother's house without permission. I feel that I am invading her privacy"
"You know my mom said you can stay as long as you want," Marley told her. "She is happy that you and I are together"

It's just...eventually I need to find an apartment"

Marley approached and saw her sister's cookies, they were perfectly whipped and smelled delicious, although they still needed to be baked.
"Much better," Marley told her. "This time you followed the recipe, now we are going to put them in the oven to bake" she said, putting the tray in the oven and closing the door. "When the cookies are cold we can eat them with a glass of milk"
I don't know why I feel like Santa Claus eating milk and cookies" laughed Kara.
"Do you know who Santa is?" Marley asked with interest. "I thought not, considering that you are from another planet"
"Marley, remember that Clark kept me safe and I lived on earth for most of my adolescence until I became an adult" Kara told her. "When I was a child, my adoptive mother, Dr. Danvers, told Alex and me the story of Santa Claus for Christmas"
An hour later, Marley and her sister were in the dining room enjoying delicious chocolate chip cookies and drinking cold milk as they chatted.
"This is so good," Kara said after chewing on her cookie and taking a sip of her milk.
"I told you" smiled Marley. "There is nothing more pleasant than eating milk and cookies for snack"
"You're right," Kara laughed. "for so long" she takes another cookie and starts chewing slowly. "May I ask what are you doing here with me? I thought you would be with your friends doing things like a normal teenager"
I was with them" commented Marley after eating her cookie. "we went to Danielle's doctor's appointment"
"Of course, I remember," Kara said. "And how was it? Is she okay?"
"The good news is that she won't be wearing a cast again," Marley explained. "The bad news is that her ankle is still fractured so she must continue to use crutches for at least a week and attend physical therapy to regain mobility"

"Thank you" Marley told him with a smile. "Danielle will really appreciate it." She sighed and looked at her bitten cookie.

What if I tell him and I'm not what he expects?" She runs a strand of her brown hair behind the ear and folds her hands shyly. "Considering you're dating your boss's son and your relationship is pretty serious, could you give me some advice about boys?"
Kara took a deep breath before looking at her teenage sister. She wanted to help her win Sebastian Smythe's heart but she also didn't have the courage to tell her that her relationship with Adam Foster didn't work out and they both decided to be friends.

The next morning, Marley was reviewing some sheet music in the auditorium when Sebastian approached her.

"It sounded more fun in my head" laughed Marley walking over to him. "but considering there is a curfew for people to take shelter from the sinking of Atlantis; it was a good reference for an emergency"

"I panicked," Marley confessed. "I didn't know if you were going to come so I thought of a secret word"
