Hello guys! I´m so thankful for your reviews in the last chapter, all of you were so kind. I also agree that Jake needs to move on from Marley since she's dating Sebastian now and he eventually will.
Anyways, We´re going to start with the tribute of The Greatest showman; starting with this chapter.
This chapter in particular will have more songs since it´s focused on the auditions of the musical.
Will (Matthew Morrison) will recruit his fiancé Emma Pillsbury (Jayma Mays), Artie Abrams (Kevin McHale), the football coach Shannon Beiste (Dot-Marie Jones) and his niece Andy (Meg Donnelly), who is a freshman at McKinley and she will help his uncle..
Finn (Cory Monteith), Rachel (Lea Michele), Josh (Asher Angel), Marley (Melissa Benoist) and Olivia (Olivia Rodrigo) will audition for the musical with the rest of New Directions.
After weeks of physical therapy, Danielle (Nathalia Ramos) stops using crutches and she can walk again, so she will also audition for the musical.

PS: I based in the episodes of Asian F and The Role you were born to play on Glee so I could take some references, but the rest of the storylines and scenes are mine.

(Will is at his house watching "The greatest Showman" in the television as he drinks a bottle of beer and eats a bowl of popcorn; As he watches the movie, Will pays attention to every scene, even the most insignificant; he sees precisely the scene where PT Barnum and his daughters enter the laundry room and discover Lettie (the bearded lady) singing.
Will voice over:
I love this movie; Yes, Singin' in the Rain is a classic and it's my favorite when I'm sick. but I can't deny that Hugh Jackman's performance is impressive. actually.. I always wanted my kids to be able to do the play and now it will come true.
When we did Grease and West Side Story in freshman and sophomore year respectively, they were good... but "The Greatest Showman" has to be a ten.
(The scene changes where PT is in the arena in the circus dancing with his crew as all of them sing "Come alive" and the crowd go nuts; Will grabs a A top hat from the rack, puts on a red jacket and imitates the choreography.)
To put on a great musical of this magnitude, I can't do it alone. I need reinforcements...and I know exactly who to recruit…
Are you watching The Greatest Showman again Uncle Will?" asked Andy, Will's niece, a beautiful blonde girl with gray eyes and a sweet smile. "It's the fourth time this week"
"Hey kiddo" Will grabbed the remote and paused the movie as he got up and greeted his niece with a hug. "How long ago did you get home from school? We're supposed to go together. my sister told me to take care of you"
"I'm fine," Andy says as she sits on the couch next to him. " My mom still hasn't gotten used to the fact that I'll be sixteen and she still sees me as her baby. everything has been very hard since the divorce and my brother went to college in Massachusetts"
"You said it yourself, Elizabeth still sees you as her little girl" said Will and offered popcorn to his niece. "Do you want to watch the movie with me?"
"Of course, I love that movie," Andy said smiling, grabbing some popcorn and putting them in her mouth. "May I ask, why did you want to watchThe Greatest Showman specifically? I agree Hugh Jackman as PT Barnum is awesome; but I thought you might want to see Singin' in the Rain or Armageddon"
"The McKinley school musical is in two weeks and... I had the idea to put on The Greatest Showman to get out of my comfort zone and challenge the kids to do something different," Will explained to his niece "A story about a visionary man who became the father of show business and created a special circus for extraordinary people; everyone in the glee club thought it was a great idea and most of them like this movie. I'm watching it again because I am noticing details that I had not seen the first time and I want to pay attention to it as best as possible"
" I think it's an amazing idea uncle," said Andy, smiling.
"Really?" Will was surprised. "I've never seen you so excited as when you spent the summer at a theater camp in London"
"Speaking of camp, I loved it," Andy says as she sits straight on the couch and looks at her uncle.. "I learned many things, I was even the assistant director. The campers did Annie's play and I helped direct so I have some experience. Do you already have the cast?"
"Not yet" Will rubbed the back of his neck. "I mean, Finn and Rachel want to play PT and Charity and Mercedes wants to play the beard lady; but I still need to get the others to audition to see which character is right for them; for now I will direct the musical, only I need more people, someone for costumes, choreography, someone to set up the scenery..."
"I'm in" Andy got up from the couch excitedly. "I will be your assistant director and help with the choreography."
"Are you sure?" Will asked the girl. "you're barely fifteen"
"Uncle Will, remember that I took a theater summer camp in England?" Andy chided. "I learned everything about setting a school play, so you have to trust me okay? I may be young but you are in good hands"
"Also...the guy in your glee club who's in a wheelchair, Artie Abrams has directing experience and is a sophomore in high school" Andy points out.
"You're right butterfly" Will told her with a smile. "You are a very smart young lady"
"Thank you," Andy said, smiling. "And what about Aunt Emma? Do you think she wants to help us direct the musical?"
"We have nothing to lose by trying," Will said with a smirk. "Andrea Jillian Shuester you are a genius, and I can tell Shannon to include some footballers for the dancers"
"This is going to be the greatest musical ever" Andy says smiling as she and her uncle high-five. "So…let's watch the movie"
"As you wish little lady" Will smiles as he plays the movie from the beginning and they sit on the couch to watch it, the logo of Twentieth Century Fox appears on the television.
The next morning, all the members of New Directions entered the choir room and sat in their seats, except for Danielle.
"Wait..." Danielle said excitedly and dropped her crutches before walking off.
"Praise" exclaimed Mercedes touching her chest. "this is a miracle"
"Oh my God Dani" Rachel walked over to hug her friend. "you can walk"
"Yes, thank God" Danielle said smiling. "After weeks of physical therapy but finally my ankle is better" all her teammates started to applaud her. "I wanted to thank you all for your prayers, and Kurt for his well wishes on my recovery."
"We are so proud of you Danielle," Finn said.
"Yeah, it's not the same as dancing without crutches or a cast," Josh points out. "Those things are uncomfortable" all the kids laughed.
"I know," Danielle says. "but it was worth it at the end"
"You'll be more careful next time when doing pirouettes" Amanda told her with a smile.
"I promise," Danielle said.
"Now that you've recovered from your fracture, will you return to Vocal Adrenaline?" Artie asks the redhead girl.
"No" Danielle confidently sayas she looks at the rest of her teammates. "I'm here to stay with you guys; I´d never felt so loved and accepted as in New Directions and... I discovered that this is my home"
"Come here you" said Marley opening her arms and Danielle approached to hug her, they all followed suit and gave each other a group hug.
"Now it's gonna be different since we are going to regionals" Tina said smiling and everyone cheered.
"And let's not forget about the musical," Olivia says excitedly. "we're doing "The Greatest Showman"
"We can't let Hugh Jackman down," Marissa said.
"Will he come to see the musical?" Kurt said, panicking. "Oh my God"
"No, but Fletcher Mantini does" said Puck. "I heard that critic is tough to crack"
"We need someone to help us with the choreography," said Ryder.
"Mike, Santana and Brittany are some of our best dancers," Finn explained to him.
"I can take care of the wardrobe," Tina said. "Luckily I saw the movie and the costumes are easy to get. also...I took a sewing class, so I can make them myself"
"Okay but…who's going to direct the musical?" Sebastian wanted to know.
"I've got it covered" Will said walking into the choir room with a blonde girl. "guys this is my niece Andrea Schuester"
"You can call me Andy," Andy said smiling. "I watched you guys compete at sectionals and you are all amazing...Marley, Olivia...I loved your original song and Josh...your solo on Dynamite was out of this world"
"Wait a second, do you know us?" Marley asked in surprise and then shook hands with the blonde. "and it's nice to meet you by the way, your uncle is an amazing teacher"
"Even though his friends are teenagers," Santana said with a smirk and they all laughed.
Are you going to join the glee club?" Josh asked.
"I'd love to but maybe next year," said Andy. "There's no place for me anymore since it´s complete for now, instead.. I'll help my uncle direct the musical"
"Welcome aboard girl" Artie rolled over to her and gave her a high five.
"Do you have experience directing a musical?" Finn asked.
"Andy went to drama camp in London last summer," Will explained, wrapping his arms around his niece´s shoulders. "She was the assistant´s director and they put on stage the musical of Annie"
"I love that play," Rachel says excitedly. "I watched on Broadway with my dads when I went to New York last christmas and it was lovely to see the story of a cute orphan girl who makes friends and is adopted by a rich man"
"Do they realize that a freshman girl and a sophomore guy are going to help you direct the musical?" Kurt wanted to know. "Mr. Schue, no offense but...you have to hang out with people of your own age"
"Thanks Kurt, luckily I found two trained adults who will be on the game as well" said Will and everyone went back to their seats except Andy and Artie as they were going to direct the musical. "Ladies and gentleman, your co-musical directors. Ms. Pillsbury and Coach Beiste" Shannon and Emma enter the choir room as Rachel bit her lip and shakes her head. "Now, Ms. Pillsbury did such a good job helping me out with Grease last year that I knew she could handle the job"
"And I'm here to keep the football guys in line and I've also talked them into playing the rest of the freaks" Shannon says confidently.
"Mr. Schue, with all due respect to Ms. Pillsbury and Coach Beiste, this is crazy" Rachel protests. "they have absolutely zero experience in directing a musical"
"Not true: In college I was in "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" Shannon explains. "I played the forum"
"I still think it's a bad idea" Rachel still protests. "we are fine with you, Artie and Andy directing a musical; Miss Pillsbury is already the guidance counselor and Coach Beiste is pretty busy coaching the football team"
"Rachel, I love you when you're not acting like a self-centered diva" Olivia tells her friend and then looks at the directors. "I think Miss Pillsbury and Coach Beiste can do a great job directing"
"Thank you so much Olivia" Emma says smiling. "I promise you we won't let you down"
"Okay so it´s settled then" Will said, clapping. "We will direct the musical and Andy will help Mike with the choreography."
"I'll take care of the wardrobe," Tina said.
"Perfect," Emma said. "can someone help with the scenery"
"I'll do it," Brittany said. "I created a fantasy land for Lord Tubbington's kittens"
"Auditions for the musical will start tomorrow" said Artie. "You can decide which character you audition for, but we will decide what role is suitable for you"
An hour later, Finn and Rachel walked the halls of McKinley holding hands as they left the choir room with the rest of their teammates and they talked about the musical.
"You okay baby?" Finn asked, looking at his girlfriend and stopping at his locker. "You've been very quiet since we left the choir room. I thought you were excited about the musical"
"I didn't mean to offend anyone," Rachel said. "I was just trying to be honest and now...Olivia doesn't want me around, everyone thinks I'm a selfish brat and...I don't doubt Miss Pillsbury and Coach Beiste are directing The Greatest Showman, I just want to give my best performance because It's the last musical and I'll graduate"
"Rach, we're still juniors," Finn told her. "Graduation is until next year." He flicked a strand of her hair behind her ear. "You have to stop being so demanding with yourself and believe in yourself, besides... I trust Miss Pillsbury and Coach Beiste, they will not be the only ones who will direct the musical, there will also be Mr. Schuester, his niece and Artie, do you think if they didn't know anything about musicals they'd be in charge of the play?
"No" Rachel immediately responded.
"Exactly," Finn tells her, kissing her cheek. "and Olivia loves you, remember that she sees you as her role model. And even if there are things about you that she doesn't like, it doesn't mean that you are no longer friends. In fact, if we're being honest, Liv seems more like your best friend than Marley herself."
"Marley and I are still best friends," Rachel said. "But Olivia is too; I have four best friends: Marley, Danielle, Olivia and you"
"You're my best friend, too beautiful," Finn told her. "The difference is that I fell in love with you and I can do this" he leaned in to kiss her on the mouth, although it was a small kiss it was still passionate.
"And I love it when you kiss me," Rachel said, smiling. "but back to the point, Marley and I are still friends; only she is dating Sebastian and spends time with Kara, since her sister moved to Lima both are inseparable"
It's weird how Kara and Marley look so alike" Finn said. "I could've sworn they were identical twins"
"Except for hair color and age; Kara is older than Marley and has blonde hair, Marley just turned 16 and is brunette"
"Good point" Finn scratches his chin thoughtfully. "Come to think of it, Josh... the guy I recruited to join New Directions has a twin. Do you remember the Zachary Levi movie that we saw in the cinema and it has the name of a music app?"
"Of course I remember, and the movie name is Shazam," Rachel corrected him. "Normally I don't like superhero movies, I'm more into musicals and romantic comedies but this was the exception, it was very funny and I couldn't stop laughing" she looked her boyfriend straight in the eyes. "I don't get it, what does Josh have to do with Shazam?"
"Babe, the kid Billy Batson looks exactly like Josh" Finn pulls out his phone from his jacket pocket and googles about the movie Shazam, until he finds pictures of Billy Batson, the resemblance was remarkable. "Look" he then shows the phone to his girlfriend.
"Oh my God" Rachel exclaims. "Josh has a lost twin brother"
"Told you so" Finn gives her a half-smile. "Maybe we have lost twins that we have never seen in our lives; uh babe? Normally I'm one of those who want to avoid clichés but... we have company" he indicated to his girlfriend and they both watched as Josh walked over them.
"Hey Finn, Hey Rachel, what´s up?" Josh approached Finn and Rachel with a smile, dimples marking his cheeks. "Were you guys talking about me?"
"Hi Billy Batson" Rachel greets sheepishly as Josh looks at her confused. "No! I mean Josh" she laughs nervously. "Hi Josh. we? No, of course not, right Finn?" She looks at her boyfriend.
"No," Finn repeated. "Not at all"
"Oh okay, I thought you did since I noticed you acting weird and then you kept staring at me" Josh said. "Cool...I'll see you around, I have Spanish class" he added, turning around to go to his class.
"Josh...have you ever thought you had a lost twin and didn't know it?" Finn asked, Rachel gave him a light punch on the arm to force him to change the subject. "never mind"
"Are you going to audition for the musical?" Josh asks them suddenly, breaking the tension.
"Yeah of course," Rachel answered. "I´m auditioning for the role of Charity and Finn want to be PT Barnum"
"I still don´t know if I'm going to get the role to be honest, '' Finn confessed. "What about you buddy? Are you interested in any character?"
"Maybe...I'll audition to be Anne's brother," Josh said. "Even if it means learning how to ride a trapeze, the good thing is I took gymnastics when I was eleven" he adds shrugging. " How hard can it be?"
"I like your confidence," Rachel smiles. "What song are you auditioning for? I will sing "Don't rain on my parade", I have memorized the song since I was four years old and I can't disappoint Barbra. Funny Girl became a hit thanks to that song"
"What about you, Finn?" Josh wanted to know.
"Rock DJ by Robbie Williams," Finn said. "I'll get Puck and Sebastian to help me; they also want to audition for the musical"
"Sounds great," Josh smiled. "Answering your question Rachel, I was thinking of auditioning with "Drops of Jupiter" by Train, it's my favorite song"
"Cool choice dude" Finn pats Josh on his back as the bell rings. "Come on, go to Spanish class, we don't want Mr. Martinez to give you a tardy" Josh nods as he turns around and walks away; Finn and Rachel sighed in relief.
"That was close," Rachel confessed. "Next time don't be so obvious Finn; Josh is almost suspicious." Rachel hugged the books to her chest. "I'll see you later at the auditions"
"Break a leg my Future Mrs. Charity Barnum" Finn tells Rachel lovingly.
"So…you're auditioning for the role of PT?" Rachel asks excitedly.
"Absolutely" Finn smirks. "I love sharing the stage with you and... what better way for you to play my wife in the musical"
"You do know you're going to have scenes with the girl who plays Jenny Lind, right?" Rachel reminded him. "and...she's going to have to kiss you, which I don't like very much but I'll have to accept it"
"Rachel, it's just acting," Finn told her. "I don't feel comfortable kissing a girl other than you either but... if you want, I can tell Mr. Schue to make a change in the script and replace it with a kiss on the cheek"
"We have to get out of our comfort zone Finn" Rachel told him. "I'll be fine as long as it's not passionate kisses and there's no monkey business"
"On opening night I'll be home alone baby," Finn whispered in her ear. "and I'm going to make love to you all night long" when he pulled away he saw that his girlfriend looked at him with a smile.
"I can't wait for it…stud" Rachel said smiling and leaned in to kiss him passionately, Finn and Rachel started making out in the middle of the hallway until…
"Get a room" Santana says with a disapproving look as she and Brittany pass by with the rest of the cheerios.
Eventually, the couple decided to head off to their respective classes and prepare for the musical auditions.
Okay, we've got Finn Hudson at the top of the list," Andy said as she, her uncle, Artie, Emma Pillsbury, and Shannon were sitting at the table in the auditorium.
"Are we going to start the auditions now?" Will asked.
"The faster we go the better," Shannon said. "there are so many kids who are going to audition for the musical and we must see what role is right for them"
"Finn Hudson are you here?" Artie called into the microphone. "Finn?"
Finn entered the auditorium and went up on stage with Sebastian and Puck.
"It just says Finn Hudson here" Emma said looking at Puck and Sebastian. "Do you also want to be in The Greatest Showman?"
I'm auditioning for Charity's father," Puck said. "Even if it means I have to hate my best friend for marrying my daughter."
"It's just a play, Puck," Finn reminded him. "uh...I want to be PT Barnum"
"And you Sebastian?" Andy wanted to know. "what character do you want to be?"
"I was thinking of PT´S partner and Anne´s love interest, Phillip Carlyle," Sebastian said confidently.
"Mm, I like the spirit," Artie said. "you will do justice to Zac Efron"
"Let's see what you got" said Will; the rest of the members of New Directions entered the auditorium and sat in the seats to watch the auditions.
"What song do you have for your audition?" Emma wanted to know.
"Rock DJ by Robbie Williams," Finn said.
"Alright" Shannon encouraged them. "let's hear it then"
(The band start playing "Rock DJ" by Robbie Willams as Finn, Puck and Sebastian sing and dance confidently; the girls of New Directions join them in the singing as the directors are taking notes and look at their audition)

"Nice" Will said as he and the directors started clapping. "We call you" Finn, Puck and Sebastian left the stage. "so…what do you think?"
"I like the confidence of all three and I definitely see Finn as PT Barnum," said Shannon. "The kid has the charisma that the Hugh Jackman character has; It will look good on him to wear a suit and a top hat"
"But we need to work on his dance moves," Andy said gently. "I like Finn, he's a great guy and he's talented, only unlike Puck and Sebastian, he looks like he has two left feet"
"Yeah no offense, but Finn can´t dance," Artie pointed out. "Which is a problem because PT Barnum's character sings and dances, even in sync; Finn will have a lot of practice to reach the height that the character"
"Mike and I will help him with the dance moves," Andy says. "Luckily, the musical numbers are easy to learn. The hardest part will be getting Anne and her brother to learn to swing on a trapeze," Andy continued.
"We have some pretty sturdy harnesses in props," said Will. "we will practice until the kids feel comfortable to slide down the roof of the stage"
"And how will we turn the auditorium into a circus?" Shannon wanted to know. "almost every PT show with the freaks is in a circus tent"
"Brittany is working on the scenery," Emma explained. "she is getting help from some kids taking home economics class" she then looks at the list. "okay, the next ones in auditioning are Marley Rose and Rachel Berry"
"You can come in ladies" Artie announced on the microphone as Rachel and Marley entered the auditorium and got on the stage.
-FLASHBACK.
Rachel was in the bathroom putting on some lip gloss as Marley walked over her to the sink and started washing her hands.
"Hey, how psyched are you for The Greatest Showman auditions?" Marley asks Rachel. "I want Anne…so bad; if not…I can play one of PT and Charity´s daughters; maybe Caroline, she loves doing ballet"
"Anne is a great character and a wonderful trapezist" Rachel smiles. "I heard that Sebastian auditioned for Phillip Carlyle though"
"He did?" Marley asked. "oh boy…I missed his audition;my mom needed me in the kitchen and I had to help her since the other cook got the flu"
"Yeah he auditioned with Finn and Puck" Rachel said. "Finn is auditioning for PT and Noah wants to be my dad in the play. so he has to act like a rude and a shallow aristocrat"
"Wait, are you playing Charity?" Marley was surprised. "That's my favorite character; she was so kind and was always supportive of her husband. Michelle Williams did an amazing performance; now that I´m thinking…I see you playing PT Barnum´s wife, so I think you should go for it"
"Yeah I know and you will be a wonderful Anne Wheeler" Rachel smiled. "despite your Anne is white, brunette and has blue eyes. Are you feeling comfortable swinging in a trapeze?"
"Not really but I have to try, '' Marley chuckles nervously. "so…which song are you going to sing for your audition?"
"Don't rain on my parade from Funny girl" Rachel confidently says.
"Oh no, you can't do that song Rachel" Marley tells her, Rachel was confused.
"What? why not?" Rachel asked. "It's the song I know and everyone loves Funny Girl"
"Not everyone," Marley advised. "I think you should sing something else and let the Barbra Streisand repertoire rest for a while" he added with a smile and took out a score. "What do you think of "Our lips are sealed"? It's originally by The Go-Go's but Hilary Duff and her sister did an amazing rendition"
"Marley Rose, you're a genius," Rachel smiled, giving her best friend a high five. "and...it's better if we audition together"
"I'm in" Marley said, linking her arm with Rachel's and they both left the bathroom to go to the auditorium.

-Hey girls, What song are you auditioning for?" asked Emma.
"Our lips are sealed, originally by the Go-Go's, but Marley and I will sing the Hilary Duff and Haylie Duff version," Rachel said.

"Whoo!" The directors cheered as Marley and Rachel bowed and hugged.
"Great job ladies!" Artie says happily.
"That was glamorous," Emma says smiling.
"Definitely glamorous, but also that was on fire" Shannon happily says.
"Do you guys have any preference for the parts you want to play?" Andy asks softly.
"Anne Wheeler. definitely Anne Wheeler" Marley nods confidently.
"What about you Rachel?" Will wants to know.
"I'm auditioning for Charity Hallett-Barnum '' Rachel looks straight at the directors. "PT Barnum´s wife and soulmate"
We'll keep that in mind," Artie said. "Stay tuned for the call back." Rachel and Marley walked offstage. "Interesting...Rachel as Barnum's wife and Marley is the trapeze girl Phillip falls in love with; we would make a change for the simple fact that Charity is blonde and Anne has dark skin"
"In Grease Marley was a brunette Sandy and the audience liked it," said Emma. "This play is about breaking standards and being someone extraordinary. so...why not take chances?"
"I don't think Rachel wants to wear a blonde wig to play Charity, or even dye her hair," said Will. "As for Marley...she'll be a brunette Anne, wearing only a pink wig when she's in the trapeze scenes around the circus and wearing the sparkly purple leotard"
"We can make an exception" Andy suggested as she moved a strand of her blond hair behind her ear.. "I mean...if we paint Marley's skin with brown paint people might be offended because it's considered racist and we don't want to make the audience uncomfortable, I vote for Marley using her long brown hair in the scenes where she's not on the trapeze and when she is in the circus scenes in the show with everyone else wear the pink wig"
"Okay, I like the idea," Shannon said. "But... will that Marley Rose girl want to get on the trapeze? We don't know if she's afraid of heights"
She'll be held in harness," Will reminded her. "But it's okay to ask; I'll talk to her after finishing today's auditions."
"Okay, we've solved the issue of Marley," Emma said. "Now about Rachel...she's perfect for Charity; she's sweet, supportive and caring. Plus she sings beautifully."
"Mr. Schue, Miss Pillsbury...hello everyone" Tina ran into the auditorium holding a long blonde wig in her hand. "I found this wig in the prop room, maybe... it will help the girl who plays Charity in the musical"
"Thanks Tina" said Will, taking the wig. "Are you ready for your audition?"
"Yeah, I'm auditioning tomorrow with Marissa and Amanda," Tina said. "I want to be one of the dancers in the show or...one of Barnum's daughters, well...I'll see you tomorrow at the audition." Tina turned around and walked offstage.
"An Asian like one of Barnum's daughters?" Shannon was surprised.
"Tina said she wanted to be one of the dancers in the show," Artie reminded her. "We'll see how she does tomorrow at the audition"
"Well…we have the blonde wig," Will said, running his fingers through the soft waves of the long blonde wig. "Now let's try to convince Rachel to put it on"
"Who's last on the list for today?" asked Artie.
"Kurt" Will said and they all watched as Kurt walked into the auditorium, wearing a black shirt and shiny gold pants. "Hello friend, what are you going to audition with?"
"I want the role of Charles Stratton," Kurt said.
"Why interested in the role of Charles?" Andy asked him.
"Despite his short stature, he was brave, he wasn't intimidated by anyone and he's bold," Kurt said with a smile. "That's why I want to play him...otherwise, I'll pick the Irish giant. Luckily when Rory Flannagan was with us last year I was able to pick up some of his slangs"
"Let's hear you then" Emma told him, smiling.
"Hello everyone" Kurt looked at the directors with a smile. "I'm Kurt Hummel and I'm going to sing "Do you really want to hurt me?" by the band Culture Club"
(Kurt looks confidently at the audience as he starts to sing "Do you really want to hurt me?", Will, Emma, Artie, Shannon and Andy pay attention to his audition as Will takes notes; all the directors are attentive)

Kurt finished singing as the directors clapped, Kurt bowed and got off the stage before leaving the auditorium staying only Will, Emma, Andy, Artie and Shannon.
"That's it for today," Will said. "tomorrow we will have more auditions"
"I liked Kurt's audition, it was fresh and conservative at the same time" Andy points out smiling.
"I'm not sure if he's the perfect Charles," Shannon said. "Charles is a bit cold when he doesn't know anyone, sarcastic and tough. Kurt, on the other hand, is..."
"Delicate" Emma said, what no one knew is that Kurt was listening to everything they said about him and felt judged. "I think... we should consider the role of the Irish giant and give another boy to Charles"
"Definitely," said Will, taking notes. "So...Kurt will be the Irish giant." the bell rang as everyone got up from their seats and started leaving the auditorium. "see you tomorrow for the rest of the auditions"
"It was fun," Shannon says, shaking hands with everyone and then looking at the blonde girl and the boy with glasses and in a wheelchair. "and the two of you, you´re doing a great job directing and you´re not in college yet"
"Thanks coach" Artie says smiling.
"Well done young lady" Shannon says to Andy. "You definitely inherited your uncle's talent. without a doubt, you are a Schuester"
"Thank you" Andy smiled as Artie and Shannon left the auditorium. "so..are we going to Breadstix for dinner Uncle Will?"
"I´m in but…let´s ask your aunt Emma if she wants to come as well" Will says and then looks at the beautiful redhead woman.
"yes of course, but…I'm taking my napkin to clean the glass and cutlery just in case" Emma says. "it is better to be forewarned because we don´t know what we can be exposed to with the germs that are in the air"
"Wait in the car, I'll catch up with you in a minute; I need to talk to Marley" Will said.
"Okay, let's go Andy" Emma said putting a hand on the girl's shoulder and they both left the auditorium.
After the bell rang for the day's classes to end, Marley was at her locker putting away some books when she saw Mr. Schuester approaching her.
"Hi Marley, can I talk to you for a moment?" Will asked his student.
"Of course Mr. Schue" said Marley, closing her locker and looking at her teacher shyly. "Is something wrong with my audition?"
"No, not at all," Will told her. "I wanted to know... why did you decide to audition for the role of Anne Wheeler? Just out of curiosity"
"Not because she's an amazing trapeze artist if that's what you're asking," Marley said. "I am interested in the role of Anne because despite being judged by her social level and her race, she fought for her love with Phillip and when she was on the show sliding on the trapeze, she was happy, accepting herself. I think Anne is a very brave young woman and to see Zendaya play her in the film was something to admire"
"Good answer," Will told her. "What I wanted to know is... are you comfortable using the harness to slide across the roof of the auditorium? pretend it's a trapeze, I'm asking because I'm worried about your safety and... are you afraid of heights or do you think you can play the role of Anne?"
"I'm terrified of heights," Marley told him honestly. "When I was eleven all my cousins went on the zip line and I froze. but... I know I have to do this, sooner or later I have to overcome my fear and I know that the harness that holds me will be safe"
"If at any time you feel insecure, tell us and we'll tighten your harness or pause rehearsals" Will told her. "I want you to feel comfortable stepping into Anne's shoes to become a professional trapeze artist"
"I promise," Marley says. "Mr. Schue, can I ask you something?"
"Sure, anything" Will nods to the young brunette with blue eyes.
"I don't have dark skin like Anne." Marley looked at her arm as white as snow. "I was born white; Are you going to paint my skin so that I pretend to be black? I have nothing against people of color, I like Mercedes, but... I wouldn't feel comfortable pretending to be black when the audience could feel offended and call me a racist"
"It's okay" Will calmed the teenager. "you will be yourself, the only thing you will wear when you do the scenes on the trapeze and wear the purple leotard will be the pink wig"
"Yeah, it's fine by me" Marley nods, smiling. "thank you Mr. Schue, but I still don't know if I'll get the role of Anne..."
"Never say never" Will says with a smile and leaves the corridors, Marley watches him leave with a hopeful smile.
"I liked your duet with Marley," Danielle said the next day as she and Rachel walked through the halls of the school. "You guys showed talent at the audition"
"Thank you, actually it was Marley's idea and we had never done a duet together before; at least not in an audition for a musical but it was great" Rachel said smiling. "Originally I was going to sing Don't rain on my parade"
"You can't sing that song Rachel" Danielle was quick to say.
"I know, it was the same thing Marley told me and we ended up singing Our lips are sealed instead" Rachel said. "surprisingly the directors liked it"
"How could they not like it? that was awesome" Danielle said smiling.
"Thanks Dani" Rachel smiles as she links her arm with Danielle´s. "How do you feel about walking again and not using crutches anymore?"
"It feels weird," Danielle replied. "Honestly I was getting used to walking on crutches and in a cast all the time, now that I'm using both legs...it's different. I think breaking my ankle opened my eyes and made me a better person. I don't want to go back to being the obnoxious bratty girl you met on Vocal Adrenaline and wanted to ruin your life. I'd rather be friends with you and honestly...I love glee club, it's so much more fun and we're all family"
"And speaking of being a better person, are you thinking of auditioning for the musical?" Rachel asked.
"Yes, I will audition for Queen Victoria," Danielle said.
"I think you should audition for the role of Jenny Lind," Rachel told her honestly. "Not only do you look like her physically and you are both redheads with green eyes, you also sing beautifully. the audience would stand up to hear you sing "Never be enough"
"I don't think it's such a good idea Rach, '' Danielle tells her softly. "Jenny Lind fell in love with PT Barnum and forcefully kissed him, nearly ruining his marriage to Charity. she knew he was married and still seduced him; I can't do that to you, because you auditioned for the role of Charity and Finn is going to be your husband, that means I'm going to kiss him in front of the whole audience...it wouldn't be right"
"I trust you Danielle," Rachel told her. "You are my friend and besides, it's just acting. I'd rather you kiss Finn in the play than have Quinn Fabray seduce him and they both end up having sex"
"That's not going to happen," Danielle reassured her. "Finn is crazy about you, or have you already forgotten when you guys were eating each other's mouths the other day in the choir room? you almost had sex if it wasn't for Santana interrupting you"
"Yeah, that was awkward" Rachel giggles sheepishly. "I don´t want to talk about it, but please consider your audition for Jenny Lind, you´re perfect"
"I'll think about it" Danielle says as both saw that Olivia was walking over them. "Hey, I think Olivia wants to talk to you. I´ll go to the auditorium; the auditions have started and it's Tina, Amanda and Marissa's turn. see you there?"
"Sure, I'll catch up with you in a moment" Rachel said, hugging her redheaded friend and seeing how she left for the auditorium, while she saw how her brunette friend approached her feeling embarrassed. "Hey, what's up Liv? Are you okay?"
"I wanted to apologize to you actually" Olivia confesses. "Rachel, you are my best friend. I didn't mean what I said to you the other day. please forgive me"
"I have nothing to forgive you for Olivia" Rachel told her. "You're right, I don't like it when I'm bossy and spoiled either. I'm working on my attitude to be a better person."
"But I feel like I offended you somehow," Olivia said. "I didn't mean to and I ruined everything by insulting my idol"
"You didn't insult me, you were being honest that's the difference sweetie" Rachel told the sophomore girl. "Please don't feel scared to express what you feel, you´re human and you have every right to say how you feel, even if it means that there are things about me that you don't like and I thank you for that. I was rude to you when we had the sing-off and instead of quitting the glee club like a spoiled brat I should've stayed and given you a chance because you're incredibly talented"
"You think so?" Olivia says shyly. "Normally my songs are depressing; I mean…"Good for u" and "Driver´s license?" What the heck was I thinking? that sounded like an awful rom-com where the guy cheats on the girl and she cries in the floor of her bathroom"
"Those songs were a masterpiece," Rachel tells her. "and it was a way to express what you felt; besides, the song you wrote with Marley for sectionals was my favorite. how you left your old self and turned into a new person"
"Thank you for believing me," Olivia says. "I wish I could be as amazing as you and Marley, she's incredible and has talent writing songs, and you sing like an angel"
"Be yourself Olivia Michaels" Rachel gave her some advice. "don't pretend to be someone else" Olivia nods.
"Speaking of writing songs, here's one" Olivia opens her backpack and pulls out a piece of paper with the title "The Rose song" in it. "I wrote it the other day, I wrote it thinking we would do the Beauty and the Beast musical and I thought it would be perfect for the rose and how she feels about how the Beast sees her." Rachel looked at her with interest. "I knew it was a bad idea."
"No, it's actually great," Rachel said. "And now that I think about it, you should sing it at your audition; you'll definitely impress the directors"
"Don't you think they compare me to Marley or to you?" Olivia asked.
"No, because you're Olivia Michaels; you're not Marley Rose or Rachel Berry" Rachel told her. "you have the gift of lyrics and music Liv, you just have to believe in yourself" Olivia nods.
"You´re right, I´m going to sing "The Rose song" for my audition" Olivia smiles as she hugs her friend. "thank you so much Rachel, you´re really amazing"
"You're welcome," Rachel smiles. "so…What character are you auditioning for?" Rachel asked.
"Caroline," Olivia said. "one of the daughters of PT and Charity, the one who does ballet" what they both ignored is that Andy, the blonde girl who was Will's niece was listening to the conversation and saw them. "Won't it be weird to see me play one of your daughters?"
"I would be honored," Rachel said, putting her hand to her chest.
"Hey, the auditions are about to start," said Andy, approaching them with a smile. "Are you coming?"
"Sure" Rachel said and Andy went to the auditorium. "Do you think she heard us?"
"I don't know, but I like Andy, she's nice" Olivia said as they walked into the adition.
"Yeah, and she inherited her uncle's talent" Rachel said and the two headed to the auditorium to continue with the auditions of the musical.
"Okay; we have Tina-Cohen Chang, Marissa Fitzgerald and Amanda Calloway" Shannon Beiste says looking at the list. "Normally the auditions are solo and we already had a duet and with this one there are two trios" Rachel and Olivia entered the auditorium and sat with the rest of the New Directions members to see the auditions.
"Good morning ladies" Will greeted the two blondes and the asian girl. "What do you have in store for us today?"
"We're auditioning for Queen Victoria, Charity´s mom and Helen," Tina said.
"This song was written by Marley but she gave us permission to sing it because it works with three voices," said Amanda. "hope you like"
"The floor is yours," Artie told the girls.
(1,2,3 starts playing as Marissa, Amanda and Tina hold the microphones and start singing, the rest of the New Directions members enjoy the performance, Marley smiles at them for using her song for their audition and the directors are impressed of their energy)

"Whoo!" all the directors started clapping and all the New Directions members as well were impressed with the audition.
"That was awesome, great job" Will says impressed.
"you girls were incredible," Emma says. "I loved the energy in the song"
"Marley Rose is a talented songwriter," Shannon says surprised. "and coincidentally the song fit with your voices"
"Yeah, I loved their performances as well," Andy added. "the song was amazing"
"thank you" Marissa said as she, Amanda and Tina left the stage and went back to their seats.
"Great job in that song babe" Sebastian says to Marley as they watch Marissa, Tina and Amanda. "How did you come to write it? that was a cross between Little Mix and Fifth Harmony, it was great"
"It came out of nowhere," Marley said with a smile. "I always wanted to write a song that could be sung by three people, so...I thought I'd do it for Tina, Amanda and Marissa, do you like it?"
"I loved it, you are so talented" Sebastian tells his girlfriend as she smiles and kisses him on the cheek.
"Who 's next?" Artie says as Olivia gets up from her seat and walks towards the stage. "oh hey Olivia, are you going to audition for The greatest showman"
"Yeah, for the role of Caroline Barnum" Olivia says. "I um…am going to audition with a song that I wrote, it's titled "The Rose song" if it's that okay"
"Yeah, that's fine," Emma says. "It's interesting how two auditions were with original songs, so I'm sure you're going to surprise us"
(Brad the pianist, walks over the piano, sits on the bench and starts playing "The Rose song", Olivia starts singing shyly looking at the directors, Rachel looks at her from the audience and gives her a thumb up, Olivia smiles and sings confidently, the directors and New Directions watch her audition)

Just as Olivia finished singing and everyone applauded her, someone was suddenly heard sniffing; Will, Emma, Artie, and Andy turned to see Coach Beiste, who was wiping away her tears with a tissue.
"Coach Beiste, are you crying?" Artie asks her.
"That was beautiful," Shannon said, her voice cracking, continuing to wipe away her tears.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make anyone cry" Olivia said shyly.
"It was beautiful Olivia, congratulations" said Will and everyone applauded the brunette..
"Thank you" Olivia said and walked offstage grabbing her sheet music for the song before sitting next to Rachel in the middle of the audience.
"Well done," Rachel whispered and hugged her friend. "i knew you could"
"I wouldn't have made it without you" Olivia told her with a smile.
"Well…next to audition is Danielle Wyatt," Artie said. "Is there a girl around here named Danielle?"
"I think they call you Danielle," Josh told her. "it's your turn to audition"
"Are you ready?" Rachel asked her..
"Not really" Danielle points out nervously as she plays with the soft red curls of her long hair. "I'm about to audition for Jenny Lind, I don't want to screw it up."
"It's okay," Marley told her with a smile. "You can do it" Danielle nods as she gets up from her seat and walks towards the stage so she could start with her audition.
"Hi, my name is Danielle Wyatt and I´m here to audition for the role of Jenny Lind" Danielle says confidently as she looks at the directors.
(The band starts playing "Never enough" from The Greatest Showman, Danielle sings beautifully and with emotion; the directors are impressed, some of the New Directions members are in a trance and some of the girls including Rachel are in tears)

Danielle finished singing and they started clapping happily, Rachel with happy tears kept applauding at her, Danielle looked at Rachel with a silent thank you as well to the directors and got off the stage to return back to her seat.
"Alright everyone, we´re going to take a break" Will announced. "you can come back later for the last two auditions" everyone got up from their seats and left the auditorium so the directors of the musical could have some privacy.
Okay, now that we're alone, let's talk about the other auditions; First of all, let's talk about Tina, Marissa and Amanda" said Will.
"I loved his audition and the song was fresh, it reminded me of Destiny's Child" said Artie. "I don't know about you but I see Amanda as Caroline"
"Olivia auditioned to be Caroline Artie," Andy reminded him. "her rose song was beautiful"
"Olivia reminds me so much of Rachel, in fact, she could be Rachel and Marley's daughter because she shares things with both of them," Shannon said. "Olivia writes songs just like Marley, but she has Rachel's talent and even gives her a physical resemblance"
"Actually…I think Olivia would look better as a young Charity," Will added and put Olivia's name next to the character. "and so Rachel is her adult version"
"Yeah, it sounds logical," Shannon said. "So Marissa is Caroline?"
"Let's leave Marissa as Helen and Amanda as Caroline"
"Tina is going to be an Asian dancer that's in the show and Brittany can be one of the albino girls," Artie said.
"Okay that was racist" Andy told him. "Plus Brittany hasn't auditioned yet."
"Brittany is the best dancer we have," said Will. "But I agree with my niece, we still have to see the other auditions"
"Who else is left to audition?" Emma asked.
"The Asher Angel stunt double," Shannon said.
"That´s Josh" Will told her. "he's in glee club and was recruited by Finn"
"Yeah I remember that kid, he sings like Justin Bieber and has dimples when he smiles" Shannon smiles. "hilarious, he reminds me of Finn at some point"
"I agree with you," Will points out. "actually, Josh and Olivia are the younger versions of Finn and Rachel, the difference is that Josh plays the guitar instead of the drums and he is shy"
"Yeah and Olivia doesn´t want to get the spotlight all the time and demands the solos" Artie adds.
"Can we go back to the casting please? we´re changing the subject" Andy asks politely.
"Sorry sweetheart" Will apologized. "you´re right, let's focus in the casting"
"Okay; Finn and Rachel as PT Barnum and Charity Hallett-Barnum" Shannon says. "Sebastian as Phillip Carlylye, Marley as Anne, Danielle…"
"Danielle is definitely Jenny Lind" Artie says as all the directors nodded in approval. "That leaves us with Kurt as the Irish giant, Mike as Anne's brother, Puck as Charity's father..."
"Ryder as Mr. Bennet; Marissa and Amanda as Helen and Caroline," Emma said. "the other auditions remain to be seen"
"Well... let's continue, shall we?" Will said as the New Directions returned to the auditorium and sat on the seats. "Joshua Caleb Peterson" he called the young teenager on the microphone.
"It's your turn buddy" Finn said, patting Josh on the back. "you got this"
"I'm freaking out," Josh confessed. "I'm still not used to singing in public and the fact that I'm going to be in the school musical terrifies me," Josh confessed.
"Dude, just remember not to look directly at the audience; imagine everyone is naked" suggested Puck.
"What's wrong with you Puckerman?" Danielle told him seeing that Josh looked at Puck in shock. "great, now you scared him"
"Don't listen to Puck" Mercedes told him softly. "Imagine an imaginary point above their heads and focus your gaze"
"Yeah, do you remember what you did in sectionals? you never looked at the public at any time" Marley told him smiling. "you did great"
"Remember that moment," Mike told him. "or think about my sister"
"I thought you didn't want me to date her since I'm not Asian like you guys" Josh said shyly.
"You're a good guy and you make Mitch happy" Mike told him. "so I like you"
"Joshua Peterson" Josh's name was mentioned again by Artie.
"You're next," Olivia told him. "Break a leg" Josh's eyes widened.
"Easy, it means good luck in theater" Rachel reassured him with a smile and Josh sighed in relief.
"Thankfully," Josh whispered. "ok, here I go"
Josh got up from his seat, walked down the aisle and went on stage, but not before picking up a guitar and sitting on a stool.
"Hi, I´m Josh" Josh greets the directors with a shy smile. "I'm going to sing "Drops of Jupiter" by Train, it´s my favorite song"
"What character are you auditioning for?" asked Andy.
"W.D Wheeler, Anne's brother," Josh said. "But I don't feel safe getting on the trapeze so I'm going to audition to be the young version of PT"
"Great, let's hear you then" Will encouraged him with a smile.
(Josh tooks a deep breath and starts playing "Drops of Jupiter" on the guitar as he sings confidently with his beautiful voice, Brad plays the piano, the directors look at Josh with interest as the New Directions members are supporting him from the audience)

"Of course I'm here," Michelle said with a sweet smile. "I couldn't miss your audition, you did amazing, I can't wait to see you on opening night. The Greatest Showman is my favorite movie"
"Thank you for always believing in me angel" Josh looks at Michelle lovingly and takes her hand. "you're certainly the best girlfriend ever"
"And I'm the luckiest because my boyfriend it's the cutest guy in school" Michelle reciprocates as Josh leans to kiss her on the cheek, making her smile.
We have one last audition" Artie said. "Mercedes Jones"
"Santana and Brittany will be auditioning with her," Emma said. "Brittany is interested in the role of Mrs. Barnum and Santana wants to be one of the dancers in the show"
Mercedes confidently walked across the stage with the two cheerleaders; who stood next to Mercedes and each took a microphone.
"I'm Mercedes Jones and I want to audition for Lettie Lutz" said Mercedes with a smile. "prepare to be amazed; my girls Santana and Brittany will audition with me"
"Take it away ladies," Shannon said on the microphone.

When Mercedes finished singing, all the directors without exception started clapping enthusiastically, but mostly…Andy, Emma and Shannon were truly amazed by Mercedes' audition, she really showed her real potential.
"Whoo! yeah!" Artie exclaimed.
"Mercedes that was amazing" Will agreed, still clapping.
"Whoo! Beautiful. Whoo! Mercedes" Emma exclaimed amazed. "I've never seen you like this before. Really. You're so…"
"Glamorous," Shannon said.
"Oh my gosh, I am speechless, you totally overstaged the same Beyonce in person" Andy said, impressed and a big smile appeared on her face. "yeah, that was glamorous"
"Well, I just wanted you guys to see me the way that I see myself now," Mercedes said confidently. "As a woman empowered and ready to star in the musical. The role of Lettie is going to be mine"
"Well, it was wonderful," Will said.
"Beautiful" Emma agrees as the directors clap again.
Days had passed since the auditions concluded and the directors gathered in the choir room to detail the final touches of the casting.
"Okay, we need to do a callback to fine-tune the final details of the casting," said Artie. "everyone without exception did it amazing"
"Marley and Olivia surprised me the most; they used original songs for their auditions," Emma said.
"Tina, Amanda and Marissa sang the song that Marley wrote, Marley and Rachel sang together," Shannon reminded her. "and that kid Josh wow... he has a beautiful voice, for a freshman he sings with emotion and plays the guitar like a pro"
"I liked the guys' auditions; I definitely see Finn as PT Barnum," Will pointed out "And now that I think about it, I also agree with the call back thing, we are going to call the kids and put them to the test so that we can see their abilities and decide what their role is"
"So, let's do this then" Andy says with a confident smile as she left the choir room, walked to to the bulletin board and posted a note saying "CALL BACK for The Greatest Showman in the auditorium at 3 pm"
All the directors nodded and left the choir room to go to the auditorium and start the calls back.
The clock struck 3 pm and all the members of New Directions were on stage, some excited and some nervous.
"Thanks for coming guys," said Andy after her uncle gave her the floor. "the reason why you are here is for the call back"
"I don't get it, I thought you liked our auditions" Tina said confused.
"A call back is indispensable in a musical Tina" said Artie. "This way we will find out i if you have what it takes to win the role"
"Anyone can participate," Will said. "But we'll focus on the big roles; We will evaluate Finn, Mercedes, Kurt and Marley"
"We'll be testing the others as well," Shannon added. "We want you to show us if you are made to participate in The Greatest Showman and for that..."
"We will sing "Come alive" Will said. "My niece and I will set the example, the others follow my lead; hit it!" He indicates the band.
(Will walks in front of the stage and starts singing "Come alive" and dancing as everyone watched him in interest)

"Oh god I don't want to watch" Olivia said shivering as she and all the members of New Directions stared at the bulletin board waiting for the directors to release the official cast list.
"Olivia, they haven't posted the list yet" Santana told her.
"I second that," Josh said. "I did well in my audition but...I don't even know who I'm going to play in the musical"
"Hey, here they come," Rachel said, running towards her teammates. "they are going to publish the list"
"Oh God…" Amanda said nervously.
"I won't be offended if they give me Charles Stratton," Ryder said.
"Dude, you do understand that you´d have to be on your knees the entire musical, right?" Puck told him.
"I want it to look as realistic as possible," Ryder said.
"The time has come" Tina told her classmates and they all stepped aside.
Will, Emma, Artie, Shannon and Andy walked towards the kids, Andy holding the official cast list; the kids were alert and nervous. Andy walked over to the bulletin board and posted the list; everyone immediately went to see and were pleasantly surprised by what they discovered.
