Chapter 4: Wizard's Chess And Defense Classes
"Like the movie, and I'm being honest here, but Sirius, I'll thank you for stop putting ideas in their heads here." Minerva said and I started laughing at that. "Incoming!" I heard and I quickly turned around to see the trio coming through at that, and grabbed Petunia before she fell into the chair at that in response. "In the words of Dick Van Dyke, that's why quite a sight right now." Pierre's father said and I nodded as I tried to control my own laughter at that remark.
"She's got the no nonsense attitude of Julie when she played the title character." I said to him and he nodded as she left her hand on my shoulder gently. "And that's the way Julie Andrews saw it after her best friend was doing with it with her latest charges right now, they saw her best friend as more of a father. And more now, then their real one was, and with him their new nanny happened to be like us." I said and she nodded to that with a bemused smile gently at that.
"And he's got the personality of her best friend right now, but your mother would see it that way." she said and I nodded to her. "Waiting on the receiving end, Minerva?" Sirius asked her and she nodded. "Yes, and at least you're not being a bad influence on these kids right now, but seriously, I've never see several muggle children enjoying our way of life this much since the truth came out this soon after we turned the clock back." she said to him and we nodded gently.
"Does this remind you of anything if dad was alive?" I asked and she nodded with a smile. "Yes and though adults now, I see your parents and his friends as they're teenage selves in their young adult bodies here, that the familiarity with being a teacher to my students is back in place. But though just starting out now, it's a case of seeing your father when he was starting school here right now, but there it is." she said and I nodded as I looked at my maternal protector.
"The others here?" I asked and she nodded. "Yes, the Grangers, Longbottoms and Weasleys arrived just before you got in." she said and I nodded. "Nice, well we know what we read about is half the story these days, and Madam Aggie told me the truth to your reaction over the astronomy tower right now. And that wasn't it, I was trying to get the bloody dragon out of the castle, before this cost him his job." I said and she nodded gently in relief at that news then.
"I hope you had a rope ladder to get down there, without dropping feet first here right now." I said and she nodded in agreement to that. "That is not a problem actually Harry, Severus created a pool that had a few dozen memory foam cubes for a soft landing." she said and I nodded to her gently. "This is going to take us 6 weeks worth of work till we get through there without a problem and knowing what we're doing right now." I said and she nodded to that.
"That and you doing it repeatedly till we get Fluffy in there and the mirror in place." Dumbledore said as he arrived in time to hear that remark and I nodded in agreement. "Yeah and we did the run through so often, that he's doing it for a first time, the guys, Mione and me, we can get it in one shot, and Neville has one. She's got the next, Ron has her chess set, she and I got Severus, and I deal with your mirror." I said and he smiled at that remark gently at that news.
"You trained us a little too well Headmaster." I said and he nodded smiling then. "I know I did, but I never been more proud of you son, you're certainly giving your father a run for his money here now." he said and she nodded in agreement to that. "Hey Alastor." I said to the sorting hat and I heard a smile in it's voice as it answered me. "Hello to you as well, Mr. Potter, as I said, I can sense the skills of all four houses together, but your ability and cunning now."
"It's you're showing the true honor of being Salazar's heir by being a true Slytherin in cunning and intellect here, to stop his real one." he said to me gently at that. "And he's going to get it hard, as he has no idea who he's messing with right now, I changed my past to create a better future for all of us right now. But that prophecy is now ending up in our vault after we get it out of the ministry." I said and he said it gently. "Well nicely done." he said and I nodded to him.
"The Weasleys, Longbottoms and Grangers are in the great hall, and we're going to meet up with them." Minerva told me and I nodded to her gently at that news as we all headed for the great hall then as the trio moved to me then gently as I hugged the girls and the duo were smiling. "Okay, okay, I remember what you said on Fluffy, to calm him, it's by use of magic, so we have a music box on a soft classical music, or hex the harp." I said and she nodded to me.
"Listen you over sized fluffball, we're trying to protect that stone too, no need to get nasty." Neville said to that as he looked at a miniature version of him who was stuffed animal that had been hexed and I patted his head and he nudged me in response then. "Like dealing with a hellhound if they looked like normal dogs, and three times the size of dad in his dog form." I said and she started laughing at that. "New name mate?" Ron asked me and I nodded to him then.
"Who's the best at music?" I asked and she held up her hand, as I shoved his paw back slightly, as I threw the rope ladder in and then climbed in. "When I give you the signal come down, just be careful." I said and they all nodded as I climbed down and at 10 feet let go and landed on the cubes. "Alright guys, you can come down!" I called out and one by one they jumped in then, as they all landed surrounding me and we all froze up as it released us and we landed then.
And the next floor down and we all nodded. "Alright keep going, we go that away." I said, pointing at the door in front of us, as we walked in and I nodded. "Neville at the door, I need to spot it." I said, scanning carefully then and then smiled. "There we go, silver with a slightly broke wing, alright you come at it from above Ron, you come at below, Mione, I'm staying right behind it." I said and they both nodded to me as he stood by the door then gently at that.
As we all grabbed brooms and then spent 5 minutes chasing it around till I caught it, and tossed it to Neville who caught it and unlocked the door at that. And as he left the door open for us and we flew in as we slammed the door shut as we heard a few dozen clangs and knew they crashed into the door. "Next stage is the chess set, alright here's mine, so Neville, you take the empty Castle square, Harry, you got the bishop square, Mione, get ready to run right now."
"As for me, I'll be a knight." he said and she nodded as we got into position, seeing these chess sets the same size as muggle one for outside playing and nodded, as he said it. "You there D-5." he said to a pawn in front of me then and it moved, before moved in range of it, and the other destroyed it then. "Castle to E-4!" he called out and it moved in that direction, as another moved in response. "Pawn to C-3!" he shouted out and then I nodded as I said it then.
"Ron jack it in the other direction, this is practice, you're not taking another blow to the head here." I said and he nodded. "Castle to H-3." he said and it moved into position. "Check." he said, before the queen moved in range of it, and then destroyed it, as I moved in range of the king and said it sternly. "Checkmate." I said and the sword landed on the floor in front of me, as we headed for Severus's obstacle then gently as I scanned the bottles.
"What's the riddle?" I asked and she read it in relief. "Same as the last time, listen to this guys." she said and read it out for us then. "Danger lies before you, while safety lies behind, Two of us will help you, whichever you would find, One among us seven will let you move ahead. Another will transport the drinker back instead, Two among our number hold only nettle wine, Three of us are killers, waiting hidden in line."
"Choose, unless you wish to stay here for evermore, To help you in your choice, we give you these clues four: First, however slyly, now. The poison tries to hide, You will always find some on nettle wine's left side, Second, different are those who stand at either end. But if you would move onwards neither is your friend, Third, as you see clearly, all are different size, Neither dwarf nor giant holds death in their insides."
"Fourth, the second left and the second on the right, Are twins once you taste them, though different at first sight." she said and I nodded as I pointed out two bottles and she yanked them and the light in the tunnel turned on. "We did it." Ron said in relief and the quintet nodded smiling. "Even faster then the last time you did this, but you did it perfectly students, nicely done." Dumbledore said smiling and we nodded as the quintet nodded smiling gently.
"Well 6 weeks training here to get through this obstacle is going to be worth it, he's not been here that long, to know what it is he's doing and we do now. And before we get Fluffy and your mirror into place." I said and he nodded as Severus and Minerva smiled at us proudly then. "Just goes to show here, that you don't have time to think on your feet and think fast, you need to sit down and think to get it correctly." Severus said to me and I nodded gently at that.
"And that's just the first stage, that bottle only has enough for one person, I can create enough for three people, in either direction, but he's going to be stumped." I said and he nodded to me. "Yes and like your sister, your mother was the same way, it took less the 20 minutes when we were doing a scavenger hunt as cubs." he said and I nodded smiling. "Mum's going to love this that you're back to being you again." I said and he smiled at me gently at that remark.
"Alright we do it again, and till we make a couple adjustments and then we deal with our defense training." I said and the trio nodded to me smiling as they reset everything and she pulled her wand, and unlocked the door as I pulled a music box and set it on the floor. As just as he was lifting his head, the music started and he lowered his head again and fell asleep as I ran my hand through his head fur and then pushed his paw off the hatch then, as I jumped in then.
And called out to them and they jumped, and as I saw the cubes were hexed to act like Devils Snare, and he quickly said it. "Alright stop moving and relax." he said and we all nodded as we relaxed and it released us and we dropped into the next stage, as we ran it a second time and he and Mione switched positions. And she was at the door, as we ran our strategy a second time and then caught the key, before I threw it to her, as Ron landed next to her then.
And they and Neville got ready for me as I flew in through the door then, as they slammed it shut and then we arrived on the chess set. "Neville you and Mione are switching positions this time, but same as before." I said and Ron nodded in agreement to that, as the chess set followed the same pattern and till I check mated him a second time, before we reached the potions riddle and saw the bottles in a different alignment and she nodded as she read through it then.
As I pointed out two of them and nodded as she yanked them and we heard a bell sound. "Alright, there we go, that's team work guys, nicely done right now." Arthur said to us and I nodded. "What was the time on the first?" she asked and he smiled. "Took 1:46:00 minutes on the first one, this one took 1:29:00." he said and we smiled. "Nice we saved ourselves 17 minutes right now by doing a different alignment on this." Neville said and Severus nodded gently at that.
"How long before you move the stone here and into the mirror?" I asked and he said it to me. "Directly after it arrives right now, but potions training here, so you don't make a fatal mistake here, all summer, but we're making changes here all summer." he said and I nodded as I looked at him. "Hey Harry, guys!" I heard and turned to see Draco arrive then and I smiled as he moved to me gently as I patted his shoulder gently at that as he and Daphne smiled then.
"Alright, Ron, your father is going to be working with you, Neville you're working with Remus, Harry, I have you and Mione, you're working with Sirius." he said and we nodded as we started training as I dodged out of the way as one blast missed me by inches and mentally shouted it out. as the next one blasted him across the table, as I heard several vocal shouts in spells then, as I was doing mine mentally and the fire fight ended with his wand in my hand then.
"Yeah alright hold on, freeze cubs, freeze." Minerva called out then and the four of us stopped. "Cubs I know you're used to doing spells vocally, but do that, and they're going to counteract said spell by doing it nonverbally." Flitwick said and the trio nodded. "So I just passed another test by doing my mentally, though he can read my mind right now and counteract it, till I finally did the disarming and I blast his wand out of his hand." I said and the trio all nodded.
"Yes, and like we said, they don't have your skill not yet, of knowing to do it quietly right now, but in a situation like this, there is no talk. In these situation right now, it's a case of trying to keep from being shot down, and that was my mistake, I should have kept my eyes closed. Now, and before I left the bathroom." we heard in response and I nodded. "Hey Myrtle." I said to her and she nodded smiling gently at me then.
"What year were you, when he killed you?" I asked and she said it gently. "I was a second year, Harry." she said and I nodded. "Well don't worry, the bloody snake is being destroyed finally, but it's good for something at least, as I can harvest it's venom and skin for weapons and armor. This way, it's going to be next to impossible in the next confrontation we have with him, but I'm taking out Tom myself." I said to her and she nodded to me gently at that news.
"Wait the patch on your robes, you're a Ravenclaw?" I asked and she nodded. "I am, and like any stuck up bigotry for the pure-bloods, or in this case a half blood with the personality of pure-blood, he's as arrogant as they come." she said and I nodded in agreement. "Be careful and I will see you soon, my young friend." she said and I nodded. "I will, but I know if you were alive, you'd be a year younger then Hagrid." I said to her and she smiled.
"I would be, and I'd be a teacher no older the Minerva." she said to me and I nodded. "Alright, as you and Hagrid, let alone the professor know the most, I'm going to need more information, before we handle this right now. As that diary that got thrown at you, it was his horcrux." I said to her and she nodded. "No wonder you recovered it, it was dangerous, you had to destroy it yourself." she said and I nodded to her gently at that remark then.
"Myrtle, you recall what our world in sports was like, before we all learned we were witches and wizards?" I asked and she nodded. "Well our schedules of that in junior high school to high school just got added to the list, instead of just quidditch team we're adding some of the games to this. A pool and some of our extra curriculum classes, Study Hall, Music, Art and Physical Education." I said and she nodded to me gently at that news gently at the remark then at that.
"I understand right now." she said and I nodded. "I just wish I could change that moment in time, and save you, before it destroyed another life." I said to her and she looked down. "I know, but the truth is out, and Hagrid gets to finish school as he becomes the new Care Of Magical Creatures teacher." she said and I nodded. "Harry, Buckbeak was supposed to be the first class of the year, in that class." Minerva said to me gently at that remark.
"Buckbeak, you mean that's how it starts in that class, you choose the same assortment of creatures every year for each class?!" Mione said quickly and she nodded. "Oh now someone's in trouble, Mione, you got it?" I asked and she nodded, as she flashed up a single sentence in the book and it appeared and Hagrid crossed his arms at that. "Issues in being a magical game warden." I said and he nodded as I looked from him, to Minerva and Dumbledore then.
"You mentioned a Kettleburn, is he the previous teacher that taught this class?" I asked and he nodded, before said man arrived right then. "That's right son, my name is Professor Silvanus Kettleburn, I was teaching this class when your father was a preteen and teenager." he said and I nodded. "I take this was a common occurrence in class, as you and Hagrid said never to insult these guys and someone does it anyway?" I asked and he nodded to me gently at that.
"And whoever did it this time, learned the hard way to never do that right now, but what you had for midway in class was part of your first year in this." he said to me and I nodded. "Though I was a very good teacher, it lead to the occasional injury for me, and to some I was a bit of maverick here to that point that like Hagrid. They saw me like you saw Hagrid, in a way, it's dangerous yes, but so long as you exercise caution in class, it's fun and you learn plenty."
"Of the dangers of our magical zoo now." he said and I nodded. "So your opinion of a stuck up pure-blood witch insulting your teaching, because your substitute dragged in the next subject in class?" Mione asked him and he crossed his arms. "I would see that as a reason to give her a F for the day and call a parent/teacher conference, if she didn't like the way I was doing it, she should have dropped out, before we reached this point." he said and we nodded then.
"Oh boy, now someone's in trouble, so the way we're about to learn it, is how it's supposed to be done, the class is taught the same way every year now. So would you consider cross breeding in class to prepare for young adult tournament meant for adults?" she asked and he nodded. "If Barty wanted me to create said obstacle that was meant for said tournament task, then yes." he said and I nodded. "The skrewts." Ron said and I nodded in agreement to that remark.
"So what's the problem?" Dan asked me and I crossed my arms. "She was acting all bigoted, saying, and I quote, after seeing the unicorns Professor Grubby-plank brought in for the next one. This is how she thought the class would be like proper creatures like Unicorns, not monsters." I sad and he crossed his arms. "She calls a phoenix a monster, how about a Cereberus, a sphinx, Griffin, are they monsters, because they're animal cross bred at the moment here now."
"Well young lady, I hate to break it to you right now, but where being a teacher is concerned, the class gets dangerous and messy, its not always proper. We focus more on the dangerous animals so you don't antagonize them and get hurt here right now, but if you don't like it, you should change courses?" Kettleburn asked sternly then and Dumbledore nodded. "Wait till her and Lavender's parents hear that exchange." Arthur said and he nodded sternly then.
"A little apprehensive at first, but now we love the subject." I said and they both nodded to me and he smiled. "Well the biting book was a dead give away, after several minutes in trying to control the blasted thing he told us how to calm it down, so we can open up to said chapter." Neville said laughing and he nodded. "Like your parents, once you figured it out, you now know to exercise caution before a dangerous mistake." he said to us gently and I nodded to that.
"I'm a pure-blood, but I adapted my remarks to you son, dear, as you grew up normal, but if this is the one chance I get at a fast ro-test in your case now. And that's fine right now, as you get used to my teaching strategies, I trained your parents in this class, as I was one of your parents teachers in 3rd year. But if this is my last year now, I at least get the chance to watch you work with my subject, before you take this." he said and I smiled at his remark gently then.
"In which case, your mother was the outdoorsy type, so she enjoyed this class right now, as I taught her, your father now, it's in paying attention here. Is it leads to the occasional injury, case in point, after Frank told Sirius never to tease him, he did it anyway, and took a claw to the arm at one point here. As for Lucius, he thought Buckbeak's predecessor wasn't dangerous till he insulted him and he lashed out." he said and I nodded as she shook her head at that news.
"Like father, like son." Emma said to that sternly and I nodded. "Was that one of your probations?" I asked and he nodded. "Hey dad, you better call it back and bring it back 18 years, so we hit this point and it's Hagrid getting nailed to the wall for it, because he did say never to insult a hippogriff and he did. And Draco did exactly as Lucius did, and it gets' said director of this class in trouble, you don't like quit the class." I said and Sirius nodded sternly in agreement.
"And I may have to do that, as I finished school finally, and earned my right to teach this class with you 'etiring." Hagrid said and he nodded. "Just make sure you don't do anything I wouldn't do Hagrid, you're me in the next generation to their parents and them." he said and Ron started laughing. "Yeah I can see this for what it is now, you've both got the same personality in class, and like we love him, you teaching us we love you that way." Mione said through her's.
"That's how your parents saw it boys, though we were a bit of a maverick, they love us as another father." he said smiling and we all nodded. "I take it you had to make sure Remus, dad and Sirius never did anything stupid in class if mum took everything in the extended classes?" I asked and he nodded. "Like whatever Remus told you, that's her altogether, your mother saw me father, Remus though he's a wolf, he's still a good man." he said smiling and I nodded.
"Well it's great to meet you face to face finally, I always wondered how he was able to handle this so easily and now I do it's you, you were teaching him. So let me take a wild guess, it was before the school year let out for the summer that Riddle framed him?" I asked and he nodded sternly. "I didn't trust that little monster, but I never in my wildest dream expected Horace's teachings could turn him into this." he said and I nodded and Dumbledore put his hand then.
And on my shoulder. "Slughorn?" Ron said and he nodded. "The three of us were all here, and while Albus and I didn't trust the little reprobate, he did and that was his biggest mistake. As it not only wrecked his life, it destroyed hundreds of others and it was only a minor miracle your brother survived said encounter. When you all of you were babies still." he said and I nodded. "I got to find out what he told him, but he's gaining redemption." I said and the man nodded.
"Your mother is his favorite student." he said to me and I nodded to the news then. "Well then my one chance is to exercise what Severus told me in the opening lecture right now and use that." I said and he nodded. "Well I see it already Harry, though looking your father, your entire personality is your mother's right now, but I just wish I had the chance to do a single week in your class if you're taking this course in 3rd year." he said and I smiled and he chuckled.
"We are, but I was the first to try it out with Buckheak." I said and he chuckled. "Good for a first right huh?" he asked and I nodded. "Yeah, but he's a horse with the head of an eagle, but he's beautiful, Buckbeak, come on mate." I said and he walked over to me and pressed his forehead to mine with a coo. "If I had a hippogriff for a mount, he's the one I'd choose, but if anything happens to Hagrid, he's now under my care." I said and he chuckled as Hagrid smiled.
"So your first class, you got chosen to do this, and jumped right in there?" he asked and I nodded. "Yeah my first happened to be Buckbeak himself, developing a bond with him specifically at the time, he became my personal mount, so if I had a hippogriff for said riding lessons in our world." I said and he smiled and I hid a smile. "Now that really is like your mother, her version of Buckbeak, was always around her when I taught them." he said and I chuckled.
"So that was normal, that he, you, was doing it in that alignment, that's the curriculum for each year from 3rd year to 5th year?" I asked and he nodded to me. "Yes year 3, your starter, said professor starts with Hippogriffs, Flobberworms and Salamanders, in year 2, as we had the tournament here at the time. But those skrewts were meant for the tournament, but that year you are studying Blast-Ended Skrewts, Fire crabs, Kneazles, Murtlaps, Bowtruckles, Nifflers."
"Streelers and Unicorns, in year 5, and before you choose classes for your profession here now, is you're studying Bowtruckles, Thestrals, Knarls, Kneazles. "Chimaeras, Crups, Porlocks, Fairies, Puffskeins, Unicorns and you do another round with Flobberworms." he said and I nodded. "Well someone's in trouble here, Hagrid was doing exactly as the programme has ordered here in the lesson plan." Mione said as she, Ron and I crossed our arms at that remark then.
"Well switch Flobberworms with Salamanders in the next class, and we finish out the year with Flobberworms, Hagrid." I said to him and he nodded to me, as we heard a screech and smiled as I called out to his counterpart then gently. "Hey Buckbeak." I said and bowed as I kept eye contact and he bowed to me gently as I moved to him and I ran my hand through his feathers and he pushed his head into my chest and I hugged him in response and she smiled then.
"Yeah I love you too mate, you're safe, we're not doing that again, this time." I said and he gave me a coo in response. "He's half eagle/half horse." I said and the Dursleys and Grangers both nodded as Ron, Neville and Mione also did it and he bowed to them as well gently at that. "Lord he's beautiful." Emma said and I nodded and he lowered his head and she chuckled as she ran her hand through his feathers then and he nudged her gently in response then.
"Dare I ask of who was complaining here?" Dumbledore asked sternly and I nodded. "That would be the Patil twins and Lavender Brown." I said and Neville nodded. "And to say it now, in their eyes, 'I hope she stays, that woman! That's more of what I thought Care of Magical Creatures would be like... proper creatures like unicorns, not monsters!'." Neville said and he nodded as she, Severus and Minerva exchanged irritated looks at that remark.
"Well young lady, hate to have to tell you this right now, but what he was teaching you that year is how we do it here every year here now." Kettleburn said sternly as he crossed his arms then. "I really need to have a parent/teacher conference with her parents as you turned her in, before this got worse, and what if she's. In truth, one of the little upstarts with Parkinson, Crabbe and Goyle and in league with Skeeter, Albus." he said and Dumbledore nodded sternly then.
"Well I hate to burst your bubble young lady, but this is how the curriculum is supposed to go in this class, you don't want to, well then drop out now. But I guarantee if you try, you're going to get held back a year, so that enough." Minerva said sternly to that remark. "Hagrid follow your lesson plan, you know what to do." Dumbledore said and he nodded. "Well 'Ortunately, my first year as this teacher is with the Weasley twins and Lee." he said and I nodded then.
"Before you get us next, as Buckbeak is the first class on the list here, but to us, our trio and the Weasleys, more then just our teacher, our friend now. We love you Hagrid." I said and he smiled as he looked at me with affection. "This is going to be a long year right now, but we're not doing that again, if Zacharias does it, we're having Kingsley standing there to watch it, so he can tell Fudge and Professor Dumbledore what happened." he said to me and I nodded then.
"I don't know where these little upstarts brains are, but you trying to kill yourselves here, by provoking an animal that's half eagle?" Petunia said to that and I nodded. "That's what I said, going by the way the book was said, and the board of education were debating about why this was necessary all part of the class. Buckbeak was only defending himself, and Hagrid did say never to insult them or that happens." I said and she and Vernon both nodded to me sternly then.
"Hey Hagrid, were our parents and Sirius, let alone Remus taking this course?" I asked and he nodded. "We, our class now, were, and we saw it as normal." Remus said to me and I nodded. "So you're all part of the same class, class of 1978?" I asked and they all nodded. "We are and were, we were all part of the same class, and Molly and Arthur graduated 10 before." he said and I nodded to the news as I heard a bemused tone from a new arrival then gently at that.
"I call that a very good reason to waive all charges, we're not doing that again, so you're off the hook, Hagrid, you gave said warning and he deliberately. Now, disregarded it right now, as a result, so he's the one paying damages here as a result right now." Cornelius Fudge said as he arrived in time to hear that. "Well they passed with full marks in getting through the obstacle course, and both times less then 2 hours, Cornelius." Dumbledore said and he nodded in relief.
"We're starting dueling practice after it got cancelled as a result of my reveal, I got turned into a parselmouth, after I killed him once already." I said and Fudge nodded to me gently. "You're my champion by conquest, Mr. Potter." The bloody Baron told me and I nodded. "Well we have one, the diary is in Lucius's custody, but two attempts to try and bring him back backfired, and I'm destroying two at once." I said and he nodded gently to the news then.
"Conquest, another word for that is I'm your champion at a time of war, to clean your house of all the pure-blood stigma." I said and he nodded. "Indeed, for now you're a cub taking your first steps into dangerous world, but soon enough you're taking the position of being the leader of an army. Meant to free our world from all of this stigma finally, but you have all that which you need, and you have the first of the anchors now."
"So be careful when trying it." he said to me and I nodded. "Well destroying two anchors at once, the professor has the third, and that leaves me, and the trio, so that's simple, as I have Dobby or Kreacher be a go between and grab the diadem and I got the cup and we destroy two more. And that leaves me and the snake and the war ends up here." I said and he nodded. "Indeed, so be careful when trying it now." he said and I nodded to him at that gently.
And as we ended the conversation at that remark as a week later then came the school parent/teacher conference meeting for the 1st and 2nd years and our families then. "So which age groups we got here for this?" Vernon asked and she smiled. "The current 1st and 2nd years, and then my class, Mr. Dursley." Ginny said smiling and he nodded as she, Luna and Colin sat on my right with my class sitting next to them and our counterparts with them gently.
"Last years current 1st years, us and her class to put specifically, this is for us, with the three of us getting the earliest portion of this, as the twins, Lee and their class are starting 3rd year next year." I added and the Dursleys and the other muggle parents all nodded. "In which case, when in school our house is our family, so us Gryffindors are a pride, new lions come in as older lions go out." Colin said smiling and I nodded. "You bet little brother." I said and he smiled.
"No need to impress me Colin, we're doing not doing that next year, mate." I said and he nodded. "I get enough attention as it is, it's the Hufflepuffs year to shine in year 4." I said to him and he nodded. "With three years of getting the house cup, the Hufflepuffs deserve their chance now, everyone ease back on that right now. It's their year to shine with the fact Cedric is now about to be the school champion, I'm just involved to catch Barty if he escapes right now."
"But he's the real champion that year, but I don't want eternal glory, I get enough attention as it is here, Cedric, you're up, bro." I said to him and he smiled and they nodded as Mione nodded in agreement to that. "In many ways still a cub, you and Nigel didn't gain that maturity just yet here." Mione said to him and he nodded. "So big sisters and brothers, aside from him, he's dating Ginny later?" Nigel Wolport asked and we nodded as we looked at him and Colin then.
"Yeah, but the houses spending most of their time together are us, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw right now, as a result with the third years preparing for their's. We got the upgrades that don't come with the new privileges given to us, till we're 13, such as what this PTA meeting is about right now." she said to him and he nodded. "That's parent/teacher conference meeting, twins." I said and the quartet all nodded to the news as Ron smiled at that remark as he got ready.
"And having already revolutionized the teaching regime in the school, we're about to make changes so us muggle-borns can enjoy a mixture of both now." Dean said to them and they nodded. "Such as what's playing on the radio right now, and I thought normal electronic radios don't work here?" Justin asked and she nodded. "They don't, but Ernie's parents hexed the radio to play music from our age groups right now: their's and our's." she said and he nodded, smiling.
"That or they hexed it to play songs our age group to our parents would like." I said and he nodded. "Who's playing around with the radio, because said songs are ones we know and listen to in our world." Justin asked and I nodded to that, the radios of the 1950's and up to 70's, this is acting like a smaller version to a juke box and..., disassemble." I said and she nodded as she undid the back of it, and we saw a few dozen tiny cd's in it and chuckled as I said it to the guys.
"Hey guys, check it out." I said and they, Sally Anne, Colin and Janie Parker checked it. "That's acting like a juke box, circulating through specific songs." Dean said and I nodded. "I think they did that on purpose, but Severus is part of our parents age group, and he's a half blood and born and raised in our world." I said and he nodded. "Meaning, he hexed the radio, set it to songs, that wouldn't have anyone getting too critical for us now." Ron said and I nodded to him.
"Yeah exactly, we searched songs that wouldn't have anyone in the wizard world seeing as too crude, and inappropriate, and he hexed a few records now. Put them on those records and then put them into said radio, what these records are in our world are called compact discs and what I just said is considered. In our world call burning music onto compact discs to listen to, that's what he and Dan did." I said and he nodded to as Severus smiled gently at that remark.
"With Severus being raised like a muggle here, he understands our world, because his Uncle Dan and mum showed him our ways, and to us here in truth. It's easier to understand this when you grow up normal, but our version of tales, lead to the occasional embarrassing story every now and again, like what. Is something I'm not explaining or you're likely to try this yourself ladies." I said and Minerva nodded in agreement as the girls all nodded to me gently.
"And we got one in every dormitory, so no one is fighting over the radio, it's playing both types equally cubs." Minerva said to us and I nodded. "I take it our parents suggested this idea to you, so you can listen to our version of music now finally?" I asked and she nodded. "Indeed we did, with you just starting out, we know you're not ready to just give up your way of life just yet and did this on purpose." Dumbledore said to me and I nodded as she and I smiled then.
"Well a record is this, and there's two sizes." I said and put a big one the table, before putting one the size of tricycle tire next to it and they nodded. "And first was the gramophone, then the record player, this is what's called a CD player." I said as I put a smaller one on the table and they looked between the trio and nodded. "So first this size, then this one, and the mini records are these, okay got it." Draco said and I nodded to him smiling as Mione smiled at him then.
"So let me guess, a broomstick to you as a toddler to preschooler is what exactly?" Ron asked and I chuckled. "We started with what's called a big wheel, our parents bought those when we're learning to be on a bike, keeping us on the ground, it's safer, as it's made of plastic. Once a little older then the kid we bumped into at the cup, we get what's called a tricycle, this one is made of metal, as we learn to brake now, and as our parents prepare to take off them off."
"Said what's called training wheels, once we know we can do this without them, they remove those and keep a guiding hand on the back of our bikes now. It's what's called a bicycle now, once we're 6 to 7, after we can do it on our own, and we can manage on our own, though in our world this is before now in truth. Is where we switch to the next one up, which is preteens to teenagers, in what you can consider a beginner's broom, called mountain bikes now finally."
"As we get older, before, and for those of us, who switch and go for a need for speed, switch is an electric bike now, which is called dirt biking here. And this is where it gets highly dangerous, which is where it could be considered what you bought me for my birthday at the time, Professor, the Nimbus 2000. And before the next one up is the most dangerous, called a motorcycle, and that's the Firebolt." I said and they nodded to me as their parents exchanged looks.
"I'm starting to see why this is easier to you, then it is to us, as your wording for these is what we set it too, before we had further problems." Minerva said and I nodded. "I know, but the last one is where you got a ton of injuries if you skid out right now." I said and she nodded. "Like what we saw when you broke your arm and letting go at the wrong moment, before Mione blasted the bludger that broke your arm?" Pomona asked and I nodded to her as we sighed then.
"What you saw next year, what's considered a severe case of over doing it with the bike, if I was on a hill, I got edged off and went down said hill now here. And till I got hit so hard in the head, I needed immediate medical attention." I said and she nodded sternly. "And anyone in Slytherin tries that, is asking for the telling off from Hades here." Severus said sternly and the Death Eater spawn all flinched at that remark as he looked at me with a paternal look then.
"And why would you need to start playing decoy here?" Dan asked me and I sighed. "To prevent said bludger from knocking anyone else off their broomsticks, if I was the target I had to give everyone time to see where the saboteur was till I signaled Mione and she alerted the quintet to blasting it now." I said and he and Petunia both nodded. "And before you could even signal us, your arm got broken that day." Minerva said to me and I nodded to her and she nodded.
"Cub auror, my job to protect my peers right now." I said to her and she nodded. "We know, we just wish you would stop doing this." Severus said with a sigh and I nodded. "And we were all hoping for a quiet year in year four and instead, I get thrown back into it." I said and he nodded to that remark firmly. "With said personality change, you're now holding dad's place with you watching over me." I said and he nodded in agreement to that with a warm look in his eyes.
"To switch subjects, what's this one exactly?" Pavarti asked me and I listened and then smiled. "The singer is doing the theme song to Costner movie called Prince Of Thieves, called Everything I do, I do it for you' this is what any boy, would do for the girl they love, for me, it's where it's not going steady. But a permanent relationship said preparing to be together for life and get married, that's me and Ginny, in our entirety." I said and they nodded smiling then.
"So this says everything that needs to be said right now, so what's coming on this mission, is once done, we can be together for good." Ginny said and I nodded. "Yeah, and this is how every girl in our world saw my teenage counterpart, he's the 6th member of the team, and he loved his female counterpart. And with everything in him, but this says in this musician's voice everything to make it clear, her safety and happiness is all that matters to him, us."
"And to me, you're everything to me and you know this, I'm not losing you without a fight, but I don't see any other girl, but you." I said and she nodded smiling. "And you're my everything I'm not letting you go, Harry." she said and I nodded as I pressed my forehead to her's. "With you guys this young, it's on stage one, borderline two, cubs." Arthur said and we nodded. "We know, but as soon we're 8th grade to high school." I said and he nodded to me then gently.
"We get it, but keep it clean young man." Sirius said and we nodded. "Things for the next 4 years are going to be busy, but we're still just kids, it's years 5 to 7, you got to be worried about right now." I said and they nodded in agreement. "Tell me about it, and that's when things change, as the closer it gets to the final confrontation and the more things are getting uptight." Severus said, before we heard it. "You had to say that." I said as I heard my peer answer that.
"Who left the radio going, I love that song!" I heard one of our class saying and we started laughing at that. "Sports over doing it in the clip on that one, well like I said that's being normal, we got a lot to like in being normal here, but being magical is nice, now to combine both sides together finally." I said and he nodded. "Yeah, as is being a pride or flock, even a pack and nest, we got adopted brothers and sisters this way." Nigel said and I smiled as I answered that.
"Well just imagine that type of debate on the pitch, and the captain of said team is arguing with the ref on the call made." I said and he started laughing. "Well whatever that was about, are you trying to cause a forfeit on this game come on, don't insult their decisions, or you're getting arrested by the security." he said through his laughter. "And we thought our version was dangerous, this is worse, especially with a flying cannon ball." I said and they all nodded to that.
"Nice wording, that's what a bludger really is, a flying cannon ball." Charlie said and I nodded to him gently. "Visiting one last time before you leave for Romania and Bill's coming home?" I asked and he nodded to me. "Yeah, I wanted to see my brother's starter, before I leave, I promise to keep in touch, if you need me, say the dragon for one." he said and I nodded. "Yeah and before we get in trouble twice for the same infraction." Ron said to that remark gently.
"And with you is me, I made a mistake, I own up to it." Draco said and I nodded as the 3 of us and Neville exchange smiles. "They injected a couple sports into this song, as the lead singer singing was doing the intro, said sports are the ones we do the most, but all of them were born between our country. Canada and America, that's the United States now, as such for us, those games were well known, and this song came out in 1988, so this is well known song now in truth."
"And one we, as muggle-borns really like, as we all listen to this group as a jazzy style of music, other songs our age group like and listened to do song tracks." I said and they nodded. "So this is what we have to look forward to, in listening to the radio in your ways, and whatever else you're adding to our world next, in books, movies and games?" Ron asked and we all nodded. "Just don't be afraid to try new things." I said and he nodded as Mione smiled then.
"So what's the name of this song?" he asked and I smiled. "Walk Of Life, the band that plays it, they're called the Dire Straits, the lead singer wore a headband, and that became the symbol of their record albums, a smaller record, to us, is called a compact disc, called a CD." Nigel said and he nodded. "Well known, our parents favorite band, to our older brothers and sisters, they like Aerosmith, Dokken, Van Halen and Queen." Colin added and they all nodded.
"We're not adding Dio and Ozzy to this, they're considered a little too strange even by our standards." Vernon said and we all nodded to that. "Ozzy is Ozzy Osbourne and Dio is Ronnie James Dio, he's a pop rock and and Ozzy's known for crossing the line between heaven and hades here in music at times. And to give an example, this is what I mean." I said conjuring a copy of the hit record that had a dragon on it stuck in the magma in it and they all nodded to me.
"Well Shot In the Dark and Rainbow In the Dark are fine, but not the others." I said and our parents all nodded. "Any teenager listening to this is going to want to hear these songs repeatedly right now in this case." he said and I nodded to that. "So whoever did the illustration to that record, clearly over did it, if this looks like the entrance into hell, excuse me." Fred said and I nodded to him. "Yeah that's the borderline between it." I said and then said it gently at that.
"And all of these guys are like the Weird Sisters." I said and they nodded. "So muggle version to the Weird Sisters, is these four groups in our age groups, and this group you just mentioned is could be seen now as..." he started to say, and Arthur answered that. "We listened to both ways equally boys, as such, our favorite band groups, before the war started were the Beatles, the Supremes, and the Condors, who are like the Dire Straits." he said and I nodded to him.
"Let alone the Temptations, and before your favorite singer started up, mum." I said and Molly nodded smiling. "So small record is a compact disc, so a juice box is what?" Ron asked and I chuckled. "Juke, not juice, and it's a bigger version of your radios, how it works is you put a quarter into it, press the button next to the song you want to listen to and it switches records and plays the one you chose." Mione said and he nodded smiling gently at that news then.
"Problem is where this is concerned, it causes a fight over the music box and till someone needs to give it a kick to switch songs a second time." I added and he nodded. "Case in point is a fight in said bar and said fake nun has to get the others across the room, before said nun's new friends are now seeing her. And as a member of their trio, their leader is playing Minerva in truth." Dan said and I started laughing at that and Minerva smiled gently at that news then.
"She was in rehabilitation and witness protection here right now, and she was born Catholic, so what better way, in the leader of their church's eyes now. But to straighten her out is having her be a nun, before she taught them our version of music, and the go groups of the 60's and 70's it took a while now. For your double to accept this and when she did, they developed a mother/daughter relationship, before calling her up for help now." I said and she chuckled at that.
"To answer that your double is named Lady Maggie Smith, she's from here, and she's well known for some of the best parts in being a leader or teacher. A grandmother in one film, in this movie she was playing the head of the convent our fake nun ended up in." I said and she nodded smiling gently. "I take it this actress, once the female lead warmed up to her, she saw her as an adopted daughter now, and made a call back?" she asked me and I nodded to her gently.
"She had no one to set limits and after her teacher gave up so early, at the age of 10 she was on a stray, and leading right to a life of so called crime now. This was a blessing in disguise as she changed, and became really close friends with several members of the choir, this was the night before." I said and she nodded. "As for the pool table fight, I'm not surprised Whoopi yanked them to the other side of the room." Mione said to that and I nodded to that gently.
"That and she wants to listen to normal music again finally." Dean's mother said laughing then. "She's you in everything that counts here, Professor, so once she mellowed out, and started warming up to her, after she called for help with some unruly teenagers now. She chose to become their new mentor and in singing, and decided teaching was her calling, it was time to retire from being a real musician, and become a teacher, Smith is just like you in truth now."
"Whoopi warmed up to her, and it's the relationship we got with you as our head of house, favorite teacher, mentor, and adoptive mother here in school." Mione said and she looked down smiling as we gave her a hug and she tightened her arms around us. "Love you too cubs, and this really helps so I know what my counterpart is going to be like playing me in this first one." she said and I nodded to that, as our parents exchanged smiles at the remark gently then.
"The opening of said dance is for the champions to open it, them and their dates." she said and I nodded to the news. "Well till now, it's I never took dancing lessons here, just like I never learned said proper etiquette for these things." I said and she nodded. "Well 4 years worth of training in being a normal wizard born should help, before you do this mission right now." she said and I nodded. "Good point, but I'm taken already." I said and she nodded as Ginny smiled.
"Harry, come here." Ginny said and I nodded as she got me into position and I smiled as she lead me until I got the hang of it as we did a gentle waltz around and Minerva smiled, before she wrapped her arms around my neck and I pressed my forehead to her's and her mother smiled and knew we were lost in each other then. 'Yeah my baby girl is so in love with him, they're never going to let go now.' I heard gently at that response then as we refocused then at that.
As I saw the smiles. "Well I know what to expect when that dance comes up, but there it is right now, our first dance finally and he's been picked." Mione said smiling then. "Well I know who the date's going to be when the ball comes up." Fred said smiling and I nodded. "Been a few months, but you're all glad, she has me as her boyfriend." I said and he nodded. "Yeah, we are, you're a part of our family, you always were." Charlie said and I smiled gently at that.
"We need to practice till the Yule ball now, but after 4 years and you're so good, you know what to do, I'm your only date that night." she said and I nodded smiling. "For you, we're equal partners in this relationship and with you back in our world, you're now learning the things our parents never had time to teach you." she said and I nodded. "Well there it is, that heads it off, but sorry Parvati, he's mine." she said and Parvati Patil nodded in disappointed at that news.
"She sees me for me, not as the Boy Who Lived, not as the Chosen One, but just plain Harry, that's how I want it to be." I said and she swallowed hard at that. "I'm dating my best friend's sister, but they're my in-laws, I'm taken already, I've been pinned down, she's my betrothed." I said and the girls swallowed hard. "This is also why we want to shed the old skin and become anew finally here." Draco said crossing his arms sternly as Luna crossed her's sternly then.
"And again, I am not being picked, because anyone of you girls want to be seen, but do you know what accounts to in my world, not the wizard world now. But the muggle?" I asked and every wizard born girl paled at that. "You used me to get some publicity now and get yourselves into the news finally, well no, no it's not going to happen. I'm taken already, Cedric is taken already, so choose someone who is not rich and famous." I said sternly and they nodded with a sigh.
"Or a Hogwarts champion people, we get enough attention as it is, as does Victor, so leave us be." Cedric said sternly and I nodded to that. "Hogwarts champion, the best seekers in the school, or being a world class seeker, even the blasted boy who lived, lay off the titles, and the rich and famous part. We all had it with this for once, we just want to be normal, before we all graduate or something else goes wrong." I said to that sternly and then blurted it out then.
"Once, just once, I want to be normal, and this is like the prom, so I want to be normal and go on a date with my girlfriend, without being repeatedly tagged. I hate my title, my sensitivity to the connection between me and him and with it my powers at times too, can you just leave it alone, for once. And at times, just what good are these powers if they can't be used to protect who we love, huh, this is what my Jedi double felt in truth." I said and they all swallowed hard.
"There he said it finally right now, but leave said titles alone, he's not some champion prize horse, he's only human, he wants to be more then just, in truth. A survivor, or the Boy Who Lived, so leave that title alone for once children!" Petunia said and Dan and Severus nodded sternly. "There thank you, that's just what I was waiting to hear right now, he gets enough attention as it is, why need more right now?" Severus said sternly and they all paled at that remark then.
"Sev?" she asked and he nodded. "I'll take care of him, Tuny, I promise." he said and she nodded as he wrapped his arm around my back gently then. And in response I leaned against his chest then. "He's only 10 years old, going on 11 right now, at this age now, it's a case now of his wanting to be normal enjoy his first four years back, before things start getting complicated, so leave it alone for once children." he said sternly and they swallowed hard at that remark.
"We're engaged here right now, but she's my betrothed, so sorry ladies, I'm taken already here, and Ron belongs to Mione, Neville's dating Luna." I said and they looked down in annoyance. "First come first served and to repeat Fred's remark, you better get a move on, before all the good ones, in either gender are taken." Angelina Johnson said as she crossed her arms. "And to repeat my remark, why do you girls always travel in groups." I said and she chuckled at that.
As Ron pulled Mione against him and she leaned against his chest as Neville pulled Luna close to her smiling and she leaned against his chest then. "Well Mione and Ginny are taken, as is Cho, so find someone else boys, we got four years here, before the ball, so get ready, it's going to be a long 3.5 years." I said to that and they all nodded smiling. "Just wait for it right now, as it's now about to start a fight here right now." Severus said holding it in and I nodded to that.
"Issues in the gossip channel, that once one of you asks us out, it's all over said group in an hour and all over the school but you're not a bachelor now. You're taken already, so choose someone else, as Victor is possibly going to choose someone else, once Ron chooses Mione, Harry is with Ginny, Fleur now. She's going with Roger, and Cedric has Cho." she said in response then. "Angel, I wasn't expecting you guys to come?" Mione said to her smiling and she smiled.
"Came to see our teachers for our selection classes Mione, we're all taking Hagrid's course." she said and he nodded. "Expect it to get a little dangerous if you're not paying attention Angelina." Hagrid said to her gently. "How could it not be, our magical zoos get a little out of hand, and we've also got Scamander's books, so what else, it's not the ones that look dangerous you need to worry about, but the ones with cute names." she said and I started laughing at that.
"That and you're not as reckless as Kettleburn Hagrid, but Lee, Angelina, the twins and I are all taking this course, with you, so we can give a heads up to the quintet for this." Alicia Spinnett said to him and he nodded gently. "Smart move, in protection detail of the younger cubs, but you're all third years, your sister is a second year and your brother is just starting, so be careful cubs, I'm serious." Minerva said smiling and the quintet all nodded to her smiling gently.
"My brother already took this course, and then told me, though dangerous at times, it's fun if you're not too critical." Ron said and she nodded. "Well your brother passed with an outstanding in class, but this was needed to get into the Dragon Keeper compound, Ronald." she said and he nodded. "For me, I'm going the other way, but I need all outstandings and exceeds expectations in my classes to get into the academy here." I said and she nodded smiling gently.
"I know Harry, but my little auror." she said and I smiled and looked down as she ran her hand through the hair at the back of my head gently at that. "Yeah cub auror, and soon enough my big sister is giving me a hand in training, before the real trouble starts here, but as if you don't have enough to worry about. It's no matter how many times we do this, I just can't get a break in the first semester, before the real trouble starts and to you and Severus now in truth."
"To you it's the things we get ourselves into here." I said and she nodded. "Yes and for once, we'd all like a quiet semester for once, before things really start getting out of hand here, and my counterpart's co-hart, Severus's own double is going to see that the same way with the three of you." she said and he nodded with an amused smile at that remark and I nodded. "And that gives me another idea here, Toppy!" I said and he appeared immediately at that.
"Toppy get the cast and the directors, okay, they're seeing this in the flesh finally." I said and he nodded and left at that a minute later everyone arrived and with them was the author. "Alright want to tell me what this is about?" Robbie Coltrane asked and I smiled. "I'm Harry Potter Sir, you're all playing us." I said and they nodded in shock. "Checking the cast, I know who each of you are playing here right now." I said and he nodded as I looked at her gently then.
"Let me take a wild guess here, your counterpart director, just picked the five of you?" I asked and they nodded. "Yeah, matching us to our character descriptions he realized we had a slight problem, and chose who Daniel would see as a paternal friend, not realizing I'm your father's best friend. Next to Gary, at the time here." he said and I nodded. "Yeah well it's more then that, but the story truths hit the table, before you come back." I said and he smiled then.
"Oops, now we got a problem." Remus's double said with a smile and I chuckled. "In truth you're what my uncle is really like in personality, I couldn't ask for a better teacher here." I said and he smiled at that. "I take it I did so good in Defense, you all came to love my class as your favorite subject after two rejects, before Brendan and Alan take over?" he asked and I nodded. "Yeah you three are the best out of 5 so far." I said and he nodded to me gently at that.
"The boggart was actually the big one here, but as you forgot about said dementor, in order to prevent me from collapsing for the second time in a week. You got in front of me, before it changed into the full moon, you're a werewolf, so what's your biggest fear?" I asked and he nodded. "I'm afraid of a full moon, it means I don't take said potion, I become a monster." he said and I nodded. "Bingo, but you're safe with your potion." I said and he nodded to gently at that.
