Hello everyone, thanks for your comments on the last chapter, I actually had to make some changes to it and those who asked me where I apologized for the controversy of casting Marley as Anne when she is not black, I put it in my author note; I say again that I'm sorry, it was never my intention to offend anyone and the last thing I want is that. I'm writing this story for fun.
Before we start this chapter, I want to say some things:
Being honest and how things have turned out lately, I've made the decision to end this story for good. The last chapter will be on the 27th and believe me, I will give Marley and Kara the ending they deserve as well giving a proper closure to all the characters.
So for personal reasons, I'm getting off this train and quitting Glee and its fandom; I respect the fanfic writers who continue to write about it, especially to honor Finn and Cory or Finchel, only I won't do it anymore, I have to move on.
Back to the story, this chapter will focus on Josh (Asher Angel), who will bond with Marley (Melissa Benoist) as he asks her for help to do something special for his girlfriend Michelle (Peyton Elizabeth Lee), so she helps him to write a song to prove his love for her, also, Marley will meet Josh´s mother Caitlin (Coco Angel) (I chose Ashers real mom as Josh´s mother so it could be more realistic)
Also, Marley will write a new song who she will share with her best friends Rachel (Lea Michele), Olivia (Olivia Rodrigo) and Danielle (Nathalia Ramos), to make their friendship stronger; when I heard "You never know" in High School Musical the musical series and Nini sang it, I thought it would be perfect for Marley, but I didn't want her to sing alone, so…I will make a quartet, just exactly just like what happened at the Phil Collins tribute when they sang "Another day in paradise," only this time, they'll be singing a song written by Marley, actually I based in the performance of "You have more friends than you know" in the 19th episode of Season 4 when Marley sang it with Blaine, Sam and Unique.
There will be another crossover of Shazam with Supergirl, since I saw that the first one I did, everyone liked it, but... with Glee since the one involved here is Josh, hence the title of the chapter.

"You guys, that song was amazing!" Rachel says happily. "I think we should do it for regionals" she adds, clapping enthusiastically.
"Oh no Midget, this song is fun, don't get me wrong, but the audience will laugh at us and the judges will think that we are making fun of the competition doing Tik Tok dance moves" said Santana. "no thanks, I pass"
"It was just a suggestion," Rachel shrugs.
"Nice try babe" Finn comforts his girlfriend, kissing her cheek.
"It was a fun song, guys," said Will. "How did you do those hand moves?" he asked.
"Watching Tik Tok videos," Josh explained. "It's actually easy" he took out his cell phone and showed a video of himself dancing to the beat of Maneskin's "Beggin", everyone else moved their heads to the beat of the song.
"Dude, that song is awesome," Finn said.
"Without a doubt you are very good at dancing Josh" Olivia said as they continued to watch the tik tok. "Not like Finn who has two left feet" they all laughed.
"I heard that Olivia Michaels," Finn said, rolling his eyes playfully; Josh pauses the Tik Tok and puts his phone back in his jacket pocket.
"Thanks for the demonstration Josh" said Will. "And at Rachel's suggestion" he turned to the Jewish girl. "but we already have the list of songs for the regionals"
"I actually wrote a new song" Marley said smiling as she hugged the books to her chest. "Do you want to hear it?"
"Is it for regionals?" Will asked.
"Not exactly but…" Marley began.
"Thanks Marley, maybe later" said Will. "but remember you and Olivia agreed to write a new song, we won with "Out of the old" at sectionals; I'm sure you'll come up with something"
"Okay" Marley looks down at her notebook sadly and sees the title on the page "You never know", she shakes her head and closes her notebook.
Hey, Fletcher Mantini already posted his review on The Greatest Showman" Artie said holding his tablet, everyone stood behind him to listen intently. "I've seen musicals all my life and always look for excellence in performances; I had the opportunity to see The Greatest Showman at McKinley High School in Lima Ohio; It should be remembered that my friend Hugh Jackman starred in the film version alongside Michelle Williams, Zendaya and Zac Efron. "I´m so proud of you, you were amazing" Marley looked at him lovingly when she and Sebastian were walking down the halls holding hands.
"Wait, aren't you jealous? I thought you were mad cause I had to kiss Elise on stage" Sebastian said, confused.
"It was just acting," Marley told him. "so it doesn't bother me, my boyfriend is super talented and you did a great job as Phillip"
"I'm sorry you didn't play Anne Wheeler," Sebastian said as he and Marley stopped at her locker. "I know you auditioned with Rachel for that role"
"I know but...after thinking about it carefully I made a mistake and I knew people would be upset" Marley confessed. "It was wrong to play a black girl when I'm not, but Elise...she was perfect and she did wonderful. I even cried when you sang 'Rewrite the starts' with her, that scene was beautiful"
"Thanks pretty girl" Sebastian kisses her hand. "And you did a great job as little Caroline Barnum, you looked so cute in your tutu and ballet shoes"
"I loved playing Caroline," Marley said with a smile. "It was fun being Amanda's sister and having Finn and Rachel as our parents"
"It was hilarious to see two teenagers being parents of two teenage girls," Sebastian said, making Marley laugh. "but both Finn and Rachel behaved like adults on stage that the audience believed that they both did not study in high school"
"Yeah," Marley said and sighed.
"Hey what's up?" Sebastian asked her. "I saw that you were sad a while ago when Mr. Schuester didn't want to listen to your song"
"Um...never mind, it wouldn't be good for regionals anyway" Marley confessed. "Last time I did a collaboration with Olivia and Mr. Schuester liked it so much that he also wants us to write a new song"
"We wouldn't have won sectionals if it hadn't been for you" Sebastian said. "Although Olivia Michaels shares songwriting talents like you, she's physically a mini Rachel Berry; even at her other school they did High School Musical for the spring play and she got the lead as Gabriella Montez"

Marley sighs, pulls out her phone and sends the same text to Olivia, Rachel and Danielle; "please meet me in the auditorium, it´s an emergency", then she typed "SEND"
An hour later, Rachel was walking towards the auditorium with Olivia and Danielle after their art class and were checking their phones.
"Did you guys get the same text?" Danielle asked, looking at her friends after checking her phone.
"Yeah," Rachel answered. "According to Marley says it's an emergency"
"Well, we have to figure it out" Olivia told them with a smile and both she and Rachel and Danielle approached Marley, who was standing next to the piano and holding some sheet music. "Hey Marley, we got your text message"
"Actually we all get it," Rachel said. "Did you want to see us?"
Hey girls, thanks for coming" Marley said with a shy smile. "Actually yes, but I couldn't think of anything else to say..."
"Don't worry, we got the point," Danielle told her, smiling.
"I hope there is no problem," said Marley. "I have a free period now but..."
"So do we," Olivia said. "we just got out of our art class"
"Interestingly, we share the class with Mike's little sister," Rachel commented. "she's a very sweet girl and she's in love with the cute Josh Peterson"
"Yeah, Michelle is nice," Olivia said. "I thought she was going to be upset because I had a romantic scene with her boyfriend in the musical and she congratulated me"
"The same thing happened with Sebastian and Elise but I didn't get mad because I know it's just acting," said Marley.
"Yeah me too" Rachel said. "and Danielle and I are friends"
"Exactly, besides Finn was also uncomfortable with the kiss" answered Danielle embarrassed.

"Actually, I wish we could sing together," confessed Marley. "It was great when we sang at Phil Collins week."
"I remember," Danielle said smiling. "That day we all became great friends" Marley, Olivia and Rachel looked at the red-haired girl with a smile.
"Why do I feel like it's deja vu?" Olivia said with a curious smile. "having a quartet again"
"Well, this time it's a little different Liv," Rachel said. "we´re going to sing the song written by the talented Marley Rose"
"Thank you Rach but I still have a long way to go to be really talented" Marley smiled sweetly. "well...it's not a big deal"
"Are you kidding me? This song could be the soundtrack of my life" Olivia replied smiling.
"Let's sing it then" Danielle said and they all nodded in agreement.

"My songs are good but this...definitely beats it" Olivia said smiling. "it is incredible"
"Thank you for always believing in me," Marley told her friends. "but it's really not a big deal"
"Marley, this is definitely a big deal" Danielle commented and they all nodded. "You never know should be playing on a radio station right now"
"And if it's on Spotify there would be a million plays" replied Rachel.

"We love you too" smiled Rachel. "Hey, are you hungry? It's already lunch time"
"Well…I promised I was going to sit with Sebastian," Marley said shyly.
"Don't worry, enjoy your boyfriend" Danielle smiled and looked at Rachel and Olivia. "let's go girls"
"Thanks for coming," Marley told them, smiling.
"Thank you for sharing your song with us," Olivia said. "it was fun singing together again"
Marley watched her friends leave the auditorium and she went back to the piano to collect her sheet music.
Yo, Marley!" Josh said, approaching her with a smile. "Do you have a minute?"
"Hi Josh" Marley greeted him looking up and seeing the cute boy with green eyes and dimples. "what a surprise to see you here, I thought you would be with Michelle"
"I actually heard you and the girls sing," Josh confessed. "That song you wrote, it's pretty cool; I was sitting in the seats I don't know if you saw me"
"No, I´m sorry I didn´t see you," Marley confessed.
"It's no problem" Josh tells her, with his sweet smile still on his beautiful face.
"So, you liked my song then?" Marley asked him.
"Yeah, it's awesome," Josh says. "The song you wrote with Olivia when we competed at sectionals was amazing and then you wrote another one that Tina, Marissa and Amanda auditioned for," Josh said. "But this is my favorite because it's about new beginnings and a way to go."
"Glad to have a fan" Marley smiled and they both laughed.
"Okay, I'll get straight to the chase" Josh stopped smiling, taking a deep breath instead. "I don't know what to do and...I was wondering if...you wanted to help me"
"Sure, how can I help you?" asked Marley.
"I want to do something special for my girlfriend," Josh confessed. "Michelle is an amazing girl and she makes me so happy, it's just...I don't know what to give her. I've given her flowers, chocolates and even gifts. Last weekend we went to the fair and I won her a Hello Kitty, but I don't know what else to do to show her that I love her."
I'm sure Michelle appreciates the details," Marley told him. "But knowing her too, she likes you to be yourself."
"Yeah, that's what Michelle told me," Josh laughed nervously. "she told me not to buy her any more gifts because it was too much and she just wanted to be around me"
"Well, what I mean is…you don't need to buy Michelle expensive gifts to show her your love" Marley told him "Why not with words that come from your heart? It could be a poem or write a song for her..." She thought for a moment and then looked at the teenager. "That's right, write her a song"
I don't know how to do that, I've never written a song in my life" Josh confessed shyly. "Sorry, that sounded ridiculous," he added with a nervous laugh.
"No, it's not" Marley smiles at him softly. "It's actually really sweet; writing a song is not difficult, just use the words that come from your heart and let your muse flow."
"Could you help me write the song?" Josh asked. "Please, you are an expert in this field and...I don't want to screw it up, Michelle is so important to me"
"Sure, I'd love to help you" Marley nods, smiling. "Don't worry, you don't have to be nervous when you talk to someone, not even a girl"
"I've always been shy," Josh said. "Finn is the one who has helped me work on my confidence, actually.. before I was terrified to talk to Michelle, my hands were sweaty, my legs were shaking like jelly and I wouldn´t stop stuttering"
"Girls aren't the only ones who get nervous when they're with a cute guy, you know? So are you," Marley said. "And considering you're a cute boy, Michelle sure got nervous."
"Yeah, she was nervous too the first time we met," Josh said blushing. "I think we have something in common in that"
"Okay Josh, I'll help you write the song for Michelle" Marley told him. "When do you want us to meet?"
can it be tonight at 7pm at my house?" Josh asked shyly. "I'll send you the address."
"Sure, I'll be there," Marley told him.
"Thanks Marley, you're the best" Josh walked over to hug her, Marley hugged him back. Marley already saw Josh as her little brother and felt the need to support him. "See you then" he turned on his heels and left the auditorium.
Night came, Marley walked to a nice neighborhood, stopped at a house, knocked gently on the door.
"I'm coming!" a female voice spoke across the threshold; It was opened by a beautiful middle-aged woman, brown hair and light eyes, who physically resembled Josh, it must be his mother.
"Good evening, Mrs. Peterson," Marley greeted gently. "I'm Marley Rose" she held out her hand. "Josh is my classmate and we're in glee club together"
"Of course" the woman smiled, shaking hands with the beautiful young girl with long brown hair and blue eyes. "Nice to meet you sweetheart, my son said you would come, please come in" she held the door and Marley entered the house, then Josh's mother closed the door.
"You have a nice house Mrs. Peterson" said Marley smiling.
"Thank you Marley, but please call me Caitlin," Josh's mother asked. "I know I'm married and my husband will be home soon but...if you're friends with Josh, don't be so formal with me"
Your son looks just like you" Marley said when Caitlin told her to sit on the couch for a moment and offered her a glass of water.
"He's just as handsome as his dad" Caitlin told her with a smile and looked at her phone before looking at Marley. "Marley, Josh is in his tree house if you want to go see him."
"Josh is fifteen years old and has a treehouse?" Marley was surprised.
"This house actually belongs to the father of my husband Caleb," Caitlin explained. "He built the tree house for Josh when my son was eleven, I never thought we'd move here"
May I ask, what happened to Josh's grandfather?" asked Marley.
"Donald had kidney cancer," Caitlin explained sadly. "he died last summer and inherited the house to Caleb, we moved from Arizona partly for his job but also to live in his father's house"
"I'm sorry," Marley whispered.
"Don't worry, Josh is better; losing his grandfather was so hard for him" Caitlin explained. "It was his favorite because my dad, well...he was very distant with my son and hardly spoke to him"
"That's awful," Marley said. "At least Josh got to have a wonderful grandfather and they had beautiful memories together."
"I know" Caitlyn. "That's why I let Josh keep his treehouse, it's his favorite place to think."
So Josh's middle name is Caleb?" Marley asked curiously.
"That's right, after his dad" Caitlin says smiling. "but Caleb does love our son and makes him proud"
"Don't he have any more siblings?" Marley asked.
"No, he's an only child," Caitlin explained. "Caleb and I couldn't have any more kids, Josh is our entire happiness, I don't know what we would do if something bad happened to him" she added sadly. "He is a great son and a wonderful guy, with very good grades, he sings beautifully and dances amazingly, he is also good looking"
"His dimples are cute and his green eyes light up like a Christmas tree when he's around Michelle." Marley says smiling..
"I know, I already met his girlfriend and I love her," Caitilin smiled. "She is a very sweet and beautiful girl. She also loves to do crafts and is artistic. Did you know that she made a bracelet for my son?"
"Yeah I saw it on his wrist" Marley says smiling. "Well, I'd better go to Josh now" she got up from the sofa. "Nice to meet you Mrs. Peterson…I mean…Caitlin, I'm sorry" she added with a nervous laugh.
"It's okay," Caitlin told her. "Nice to meet you too Marley, I'll tell you where the tree house is."
Caitilin walked to a door at the end of the hall and opened it, revealing a wide garden with long grass and flowers, in the middle of which was a treehouse with wooden stairs.
"Thanks" Marley said and walked out the back door onto the backyard.
On the other hand, Josh was in his tree house looking at a picture of him with Michelle, they were hugging and smiling happily at the camera, she was wearing sunglasses on her head and a white blouse and he was wearing a black shirt. They were an adorable couple, he smiled, took the picture frame and gave it a kiss, before putting it back and sighing. He took his notebook and a pen. He opened the notebook and moved the pages until he found a blank page. He started to write a few words but stopped halfway through and tapped the pen.
"Ugh, this is not working" Josh sighed sadly looking at the page.
"Hey" Marley says, leaning her head to the entrance and tapping on the wall. "Can I come in?"
"Marley, you came" Josh smiled, looking at his friend. "yeah, sure"
"I promised, didn´t I?" Marley says entering the treehouse. "nice place by the way"
"My grandfather Donald and I built it when I was a kid," Josh explained.
"I know, your mom told me," Marley nodded.
"Did you meet my mom?" Josh was surprised. "I was about to introduce her to you"
It's not necessary we already met" Marley smiled. "She's really nice"
"Oh man, I hope she didn't say embarrassing stuff about me," Josh blushed.
"On the contrary, she really loves you and is proud of you" Marley reassured him. "It's amazing how much you both look alike physically"
"She's the best," Josh agrees.
"Okay, let me see what you got" Marley says looking at Josh´s notebook on his lap and notices it has a few words written.
"Wait!" Josh closes his notebook quickly. "Don't see it yet, it's not ready"
I thought you didn't write songs," refuted Marley.
"I don't know how to write songs," Josh said sadly. "Just because I put a few words on paper doesn't mean it's a song"
Well, I'm here to help you" Marley assured him. "and luckily I came prepared" she took out of her backpack a notebook where she had her songs written and a pen.
"You definitely thought of everything" Josh said smiling and steeling himself as he opened his notebook.
"knock knock" Caitlin knocked on the door of the tree house and stuck her head out. "Are you guys okay? I made brownies in case you're hungry."
"Thanks mom," Josh told her. "oh by the way...mom this is Marley Rose, Marley...this is my mom Caitlin Peterson; I know you guys met before but I wanted to introduce you anyway"
It's ok honey" Caitlin told Josh. "Actually Marley and I met, I'm glad you guys are friends. well…I'll give you privacy then" she turned around, climbed down from the tree house and walked away into the moonlight.
"I told you, your mom is amazing" Marley says smiling.
"Your mom is pretty cool as well" Josh responds. "she bakes the most delicious chocolate muffins ever and gives them away for free"
She's not my real mom," Marley confessed. "I'm actually adopted."
"Really?" Josh asked. "I didn't know"
"My parents passed away when I was little and I never knew them" Marley told Josh, the teenager looked at the girl with empathy. "The only thing I have of them is my sister Kara, actually I met her in person thanks to Finn and Rachel, I knew about her because my mom told me the truth, at first I was upset with her because she lied to me about my origin, but later she explained the truth to me and I forgave her, besides... when I met my big sister in person it was the happiest day of my life"

"There are twins who are a day apart and still inseparable," Marley told him.
"That's right," Josh said. "In that case it would be an honor to be Marley Rose's little brother," he added with a smile.
"Come here" said Marley opening her arms and Josh hugged her, they remained embraced for a few minutes until they parted the hug. "okay...let's get back to the song, show me what you got so far"
"Ugh, it's pathetic" Josh sighed putting his hands on his face and then opened his notebook.
"I promise I'm not going to judge," Marley assured him. "please show me"
"Okay, here I go" Josh cleared his throat and read aloud the few words he wrote on the page. "I don't want to be a hero, Don´t want to be a billionaire, I know it may sound crazy

"No, it's really good," Marley pointed out.. "I liked the verse, now let me see how I can put the chorus; first of all, let's start from scratch; with the song, what do you want to express to Michelle? What is it you like the most about her?"
"Everything" said Josh smiling and his green eyes lit up like a Christmas tree. "but I love that she is creative, she is sweet, beautiful, she makes me laugh, I enjoy being around her and time doesn't go away when we are together"
"I think i've got it covered" Marley says taking her notebook and starts to write a few paragraphs before stopping. "What do you think of this?" she began to sing softly. "I love to hear your laughter, I love the way you smile, I love you´re so creative, never going out of style, I love so much about you, I don't know where to start, cause everytime I'm with you, you always win my heart, being around you"
"It's perfect Marley" Josh smiles widely. "it is exactly what I feel for Michelle; It's like you can read my mind"
Ok, then... you can write the second verse and I'll take care of the chorus" Marley smiled.
Josh nodded taking his notebook, transcribing the chorus that Marley wrote to add it in the song, then he wrote the second verse, Marley smiled and wrote the chorus completing the song; Marley handed him the guitar and Josh starts playing the song, reading the lyrics as Marley listens to him with a proud smile. It was incredible how a bond had been created by the simple fact of composing a song; the first time it was with Olivia when they both wrote the song for sectionals and now it was with Josh to give Michelle a heartwarming gift.
The next morning, Josh was standing by his locker, completely flustered; Last night he and Marley had been together in the tree house writing a song for Michelle, but now the boy was shaking.
"Josh, are you feeling okay?" Finn asked him, approaching him and putting a hand on his shoulder. "you're shaking"
"Yeah...I'm fine, why wouldn't I be?" Josh added with a nervous chuckle. "I'm cold actually" he rubbed his arms.
"Dude, you are wearing a hoodie," Finn points out. "Are you sure you´re okay? Don't you need to go to the nurse?"
"I'm really fine Finn, don't worry about me" Josh assured him. "I'll see you later at the glee club, okay?"
"Okay, then…see you around" Finn gives him a half-smile and walks away. Josh sighs in surrender.
"Hi Josh" Marley walks over to him with a smile. "Are you ready to show the song to your pretty girlfriend?"
"No?" Josh says as a question and looks at the brunette terrified. "forget it Marley, I can't do it. What was I thinking? it was a bad idea"
"Hey, it's okay" Marley put a hand on his shoulder. "Breathe" Josh breathes slowly and looks at her. "everything will be alright, just be you, I promise Michelle will love it"
I'm freaking out" Josh said. "It's the first time I've written a song for her, well...I wouldn't have done it without your help"
"I helped you Josh, but it's your words" Marley told him. "It was your heart that expressed your love for Michelle, I only encouraged you" she then looks at Michelle, who starts walking towards her handsome boyfriend. "speaking of Michelle, here she comes"
"Oh my God" Josh hyperventilates.
"Breathe Josh" Marley told him again, Josh breathed in and out. "that's right, you´re doing it, keep breathing"
"Hi cutie" Michelle greets Josh lovingly kissing him on the cheek and then greets at Marley with a smile. "hey Marley"
"Hi Michelle" Marley smiles at the pretty asian-american girl. "Well, I´ll leave you guys alone then" she whispers to Josh. "you got this" before patting him on the shoulder and walking away.
"Hey babe" Josh leans to kiss Michelle on the lips. "you look so beautiful with the ribbon in your hair"
"thank you" Michelle blushes and then looks at her boyfriend with concern. "Josh, is everything okay? I notice you nervous and you're shaking"
"I'm really scared," Josh confessed. "I have something for you"
"Josh...thanks but you didn't have to" Michelle told him. "You already gave me too much, I only want you" she took his hands in hers.
"I know but, you deserve the best," Josh confessed. "I love you so much and you´re the best thing that has ever happened to me Michelle. I think... it's better that I give you what I did for you, don't worry, it's not an expensive gift. actually...I need you to come with me"
"Okay" Michelle said confused but took her hand and Josh led her towards the choir room where they both entered. "Where are we?"
"It's the choir room" Josh tells her with a cute smile, Michelle blushes when she sees her boyfriend´s dimples. "Okay my princess, please have a seat" Michelle nods as she sits in front of Josh, he sits on a stool and takes a guitar. "I wrote you a song"
"Oh my God" Michelle covers her mouth with her hand.
"Please listen carefully because I mean every word of it" Josh tells her, Michelle looks at him lovingly and nods.
(Josh takes deep breath and starts strumming in his guitar, at the beginning he sings shyly, Marley sneaks in the choir room and looks at him giving him a thumb up)

Josh finished singing and Michelle applauded him, but not before breaking down in tears. Josh put his guitar back on the shelf and knelt before it.

"These are happy tears," Michelle laughed tearfully. "The song was beautiful, you sing like an angel...I loved it. It's the best gift you could give me. I'm so in love with you"
"I love you…so so much" Josh gets up from the floor, sits next to Michelle and starts kissing her passionately, Michelle smiles against his lips and kisses him back. Marley, watching the entire performance happily, left the choir room so Josh could make out with his girlfriend.
Marley, why are you smiling like the Cheshire cat?" Rachel asked as she, Danielle and Olivia approached her.
"Josh wrote a beautiful song for Michelle and I almost cried," said Marley. "it was so romantic, he and michelle make such a lovely couple"
"We know, they were made for each other," Olivia agreed with a smile. "And how did he come up with it?"
"I actually helped him," Marley explained. "I went to his house, I met his mom and we were in the tree house working on the song"
"Is that what you were doing last night?" Danielle asked. "But...what does Sebastian think?"
I only see Josh as a younger brother," Marley clarified. "we bonded through the song writing, just exactly what happened with Olivia and I"
"Well, that's right," Olivia said. "and it was fun collaborating together"
"We still have a song to work on for regionals," Marley reminded her.
"I wish I could have that talent," Rachel said sadly. "I tried to write songs and they were a disaster; one is about a headband and the other is about being an only child"
"You may not be into writing songs Rachel but you have amazing high notes and a beautiful voice" Olivia told her. "I wish I could sing like you"

"and each one has a different talent; Marley and Olivia, you write songs and apparently Josh too since he wrote a beautiful ballad for his girlfriend, Rachel you sing like a real angel and I can dance. but somehow... we all hit it off in New Directions"
Okay, I get the point" Rachel said laughing and the four of them went to their history class.
That afternoon, two men stood on a corner of the school, ski masks in their hands.
"Remember the plan" the boss told his henchman. "When the Batson kid gets out of school we kidnap him"
Are you sure it will work, boss?" the henchman asked his boss. "Sivana tried to make the boy give up and give him the champion´s power but instead he gave it to his siblings and became the team of the elementary school"
It will work" the boss assured him. "Being alone, defenseless and without his siblings he will be easy prey" he added with an evil smile.
Josh left the school and walked to his bike.
"Get him!" the first criminal yelled at his henchman.
The criminal ran towards Josh and grabbed him by the arms.
"No! Get off me!" Josh screamed.. "help!"
"Where do you think you're going Billy Batson?" the henchman told him and the first thief approached. "You're coming with us"
"Let me go!" Josh screamed, struggling.
"You better not fight kid or you will suffer the consequences," the leader threatened. "Put him in the car" he ordered his henchman.
"Help me!" Josh screamed.. "Somebody please help me!"
"Shut up!" the second robber yelled, holding Josh tight for him to escape. "You're not going anywhere"
"HELP!" Josh screamed with the top of his lungs hoping that someone would come soon to rescue him.
The henchman put a cloth soaked in chloroform over Josh's mouth, he began to lose consciousness and closed his eyes.
"What did you do idiot?" his boss yelled at his henchman. "I said I wanted him alive" he grabbed Josh by his legs and carried him over his shoulders.
"Calm down boss, he's just unconscious" said the henchman.
"Let's go before someone sees us," ordered the boss getting in the car, the henchman lay an unconscious Josh in the backseat, closed the door, got in the passenger seat as his boss pulled away driving.
"Okay guys," Will said the next morning when they were all gathered in the choir room. "We are going to start the rehearsals for the regionals, everything was a success with the musical and Fletcher Mantini loved it, so much so that Hugh Jackman will come to see the next show, but now we must concentrate on the competition"
"Hey, where's Josh?" Finn asked suddenly. "I haven't seen him since yesterday and I noticed he was nervous"
"Yesterday he was here, he wrote a song for Michelle," Marley said. "and the day before I went to his house to help him"
"Since when do you and Josh spend time together?" Sebastian asked. "I'm not jealous or anything, I'm just curious to see my girlfriend with a freshman"
"Sebastian, Josh is like a brother to me," Marley clarified. "Besides, we are friends, there's nothing romantic between us. I am your girlfriend and he is dating Michelle"
"Hey little sis, what are you doing here?" Mike asked Michelle. "Not that I'm glad to see you or anything, but aren't you supposed to have science class?"
"Have any of you seen Josh?" Michelle asked concerned. "he didn't come to school and when I try to call him my messages go to voicemail"
None of us have seen it," Will answered and saw that Miss Pillsbury also entered the choir room. "Emma, what is it? Don't you know where Josh went?"
"That's what I came to tell you, Will," Emma said worriedly. "No one has seen Josh, and his parents called on the phone, they said their son hasn't come home since last night."
I don't think Josh has run away from home, he's a sweet and smart boy" Rachel said. "something weird must have happened to him"
"Is there an amber alert going off?" Santana asked. "maybe that can help us find him"
"The amber alert is only for children who are kidnapped Santana" Olivia said. "Josh is fifteen"
"Josh is still a minor, so the law considers him a child," Will explained. "We still don't know what happened to him but let's pray he returns safely to his family"
"I don't want to lose him Mike" Michelle said, breaking down in tears. "I love him"
"Shh, it's alright snowflake" Mike hugged his sister consoling her. "I promise you we will find him"
"Glee club rehearsals will be suspended until further notice," Will told his students. "Our priority is to track down Josh and find him. after 48 hours he is considered missing"
"Will and I are going to go talk to Josh's parents," Emma said. "Maybe if they show us a picture of him we'll make some posters that we'll put up all over town, let's hope it's not too late"
"We have to make a vigil so that they find him soon and return safe and sound" Marley told her teammates.
"I don't understand, who would be able to hurt an innocent boy?" Danielle was taken aback.
"We don't know, but we'll get to the bottom of this," Finn said.
(Finn walks out the choir room as the rest of New Directions follow him in silence, scene changes to each one of the members hold a candle in their hands as they walk on the streets of Lima in the night)

Days passed since Josh's captivity, he was in a basement tied to a chair, he looked totally terrified and all he wanted was to go home, see his parents, his friends and his girlfriend.
"Look who woke up," said the boss with an evil smile.
"Where am I?" Josh asked, looking around and trying to move.
"In Philadelphia" the boss said. "But you won't leave until you give me what I want."
"Who are you?" Josh asked shakily. "What do you want from me?"
Your worst nightmare Billy Batson" threatened the thief.
"What? What are you talking about? My name is not Billy" Josh said, looking at him with fear.
"Do you think I'm an idiot?" the boss told him. "Give me the power of the champion and I'll let you go"
"I don't know what you're talking about!" Josh yelled with tears in his eyes. "I don't have any power and I'm not Billy! Let me go!"
Then you will never see your family again" said the thief.
"No!" Josh pleaded as tears streamed down his cheeks. "I want to go home please!" The thief came out of the basement and slammed the door shut. "Help me!" Josh screamed tearfully.
"Still no sign of Josh?" Marley asked when she got home from school that afternoon to find her mom watching the news about Josh's disappearance.
"The police are still looking for him but still haven't found anything," said Millie, approaching her daughter and hugging her. "I'm so sorry honey, I know he was your friend"
I saw him as a brother" Marley said tearfully. "It's my fault, I should have protected him"
"No honey, don't blame yourself" Millie told her, wiping Marley's tears. "Josh will be fine"
"How are you so sure, mom? He's been missing for days and the police can't find him," Marley cried. "why him? he didn't deserve this"
Kara was just entering the house when her super hearing recognized Josh's voice screaming in terror and calling for help.
"HELP ME PLEASE! SOMEONE HELP ME!
"Kara?" Millie got up from the couch as she and Marley looked at her. "Is everything okay sweetie?"
"It's Josh, he's in trouble" Kara says worriedly. "He was kidnapped"
"Oh my God '' Marley was terrorized. "Where is he? The people holding him captive tortured him?"
No, he's just tied up in a chair, hand and foot" Kara said. "I have to go save him, he won't survive long"
"Please help him Kara, he can't die" Marley hugged her sister tightly. "He has the right to see his parents again, Michelle and... us, the glee club is not the same without him"
"I promise I'll bring him back Marley" Kara assured her sweetly. "remember that my duty is to save people, so I will bring Josh safely"
"Do you know where he is?" Millie asked.
"The criminals have him locked up in a basement," Kara explained. "but he is not here in Lima, they took him back to Philadelphia because they mistook him with Billy Batson"
"Who?" Millie was confused.
"You wouldn't believe me if I told you mom" Marley told Millie.
"I have to go, I don't have much time" Kara said saying goodbye to her sister and the woman who took care of her for sixteen years.
"Please be very careful," Marley pleaded.

"Go save the world Supergirl" Marley told her sister with a smile.
Kara walked out of her house, opening her blouse and revealing the "S" on her suit, before removing her glasses and taking the flight to Philly, but first... she would recruit an old friend to team up and bring Josh back safe and sound.
Kara as Supergirl, landing gracefully in front of the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art where Rocky made his famous run, sat on them and dialed a phone.
"Hello?" a voice identical to Josh's sounded on the other end of the phone.
"Billy, it's Kara, I need your help," Kara replied.
"Kara? Is that you?" Billy says excitedly, he was in his room sitting on his desk doing his homework. "Wow, how long. I'm glad to talk to you again"
"I'm glad to talk to you again too Billy" Kara told him. "even though i'm not kara right now"
"Supergirl?" Billy got even more excited. "Holy moly!" Kara giggles.
"Yep that's me, look I don't have much time, I'm on a rescue mission because a boy named Josh is in trouble, actually... it's a good time for your champion to do his heroic deed" Kara said to him. "Would you like to team up with me to save him? "
"What happened?" Billy got up from his desk and went into alert mode. "Sure, count me in"
Some criminals kidnapped him thinking it was you" Kara explained.
"Wait what?" Billy was shocked. "I have a lost twin?"
"It seems so," Kara told him. "but the criminals think it's you and are forcing him to give them your power to enslave humanity"
"I'm on my way," Billy said.. "we have to help him Kara, he must be scared"
"yeah of course we´re going to help him, he's one of my sister´s friends" Kara said smiling. "please meet me at the stairs of Philadelphia Museum of Art"
"The emblematic place where Rocky ran…gotcha" Billy said.. "I'll see you there" he hung up the phone and ran out of his room, went out into the street and without stopping running he shouted with all his might. "SHAZAM!"
A bolt of lightning struck Billy's chest and he disappeared through the smoke, switching into Shazam, the adult superhero the wizard chose as his champion before taking flight and reuniting with Supergirl.
The henchman entered the basement with a plate of food, Josh looked up, still shaking with fear.
"The boss wants you to eat, he doesn't like corpses" said the henchman putting the plate next to him.
"I'm not hungry" Josh said crossing his arms and looking away, he was no longer tied to the chair but had a chain around his ankle.
"Eat or starve to death" the henchman told him. "It's your decision, but you better cooperate cause my boss is losing patience and you'll have to give in sooner or later"
"Why are you doing this?" Josh was furious. "I already told you that I am not that Billy Batson guy! My name is Josh Peterson; I´m not a superhero. You and your boss are wasting your time with me"
Maybe now you're in a state of denial, kid, but face the consequences" the henchman told him. "If you don't eat it will be worse for you" he closed the basement door and locked it to prevent Josh from escaping.
Josh looked at the plate with a breaded chicken filet next to a spaghetti alfredo, his mouth watering. Without thinking twice, he took the plate with his fork and began to eat as if he hadn't eaten in years; even though he was scared and wanted to go home, he knew he had to fight to survive.
Soon after, Billy as Shazam landed in front of the National Museum of Art in Philadelphia where Kara as Supergirl was already waiting for him.
"Wow, now you look like an adult," Kara told him, approaching him with a smile.
"And you look great with that cape and the S on your suit" Shazam said smiling. "Wait, does that mean you're accepting me on a date now?"
"Nice try Billy, but no," Kara told him. "You will be an adult abroad but you are still a teenager, it wouldn't be ethical"
"Worth a shot," Shazam said. Okay, are you ready Supergirl?"
"Definitely; come on Shazam, Let's go to rescue Josh" Kara said, giving him a fist bump with Billy's alter-ego and they both flew towards the house where Josh was being held captive.
Josh put down his empty plate and drank his water, sitting back on the floor praying the nightmare would end soon.
"Okay I'm tired of being so nice" the boss entered the basement. "Time is running out Billy Batson, say the name of the champion"
"I already told you I don't know!" Josh yelled back.
"I told you boss" replied the henchman. "the boy is still uncooperative"
"SAY THE NAME OF THE CHAMPION!" the boss yelled at him taking his hand. "Or I'll cut off your fingers one by one"
"I DO NOT KNOW THE NAME!" Josh yelled. "please do not do this to me"
The henchman opened the Shazam music app where you identify songs on his phone and showed it to Josh.
"Say it out loud" the henchman ordered, Josh suddenly started laughing.
"Do you think this is fun brat?" the boss rebuked him. "you're wearing out my patience"
"Seriously, the name of the champion is a music app where you identify a song?" Josh asked. "That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard"
"then prepare to die" the boss took the knife and directed it towards the boy's fingers, Josh stopped laughing and looked at him again terrified.
"No Please!" Josh pleaded. "I'll do anything!"
"Say the champion's name or I'll mutilate your fingers" the boss told him. "Champion's Name...Now"
"Shazam!" Josh screamed but nothing happened. The criminals turned to see the teenager but saw that he didn´t switch into the adult superhero.
"What's wrong? Why doesn't it work?" the henchman asked.
"I already told you, I'm not Billy!" Josh told them getting annoyed. "Let me go!"
"Did you bring the fake Billy Batson?" the boss said to his henchman looking at him with anger. "You asshole!" he slapped him.
"How did I to know that there are two boys with the same face?" exclaimed the henchman touching his face.
Are you going to let me go?" Josh asked.
"No! I'll kill you now!" the boss roared, taking his gun and pointing it at Josh.
"No! Please, I don't want to die!" Josh yelled with tears in his eyes. "help!"
"Shut up you despicable brat!" the criminal yelled. "You saw our faces, but now say goodbye to your family" Josh began to cry and closed his eyes tightly.
"Freeze!" Kara's voice suddenly sounded.
"What was that?" the henchman asked.
"Stop right now!" Shazam answered, who with a strong kick brought down the door, Josh opened his eyes and looked up to see the real superhero Shazam in person and next to him was Supergirl.
"No way," Josh whispered.
"The champion," the boss whispered. "Well, well, the real Billy Batson is in the house".
"Release him" ordered Shazam. "or everything will get worse for you"
I will, if you give me the power of the champion" said the henchman pointing the gun at Josh.
"Not if I stop you first" Kara snapped, snatching the gun from him and it fell to the ground.
"Supergirl" the henchman whispered, Kara looked at him and landed a punch that knocked him to the ground, Shazam hit the boss with a right hook.
"Stupid kid! You're going to regret this!" the thief yelled.
"I may be a kid but I'm stronger and more agile than you mister" Shazam told the criminal and both he and Kara ran to free Josh.
"Watch out!" Josh yelled as the criminal stood up and shot Shazam and Supergirl; Fortunately, the bullets fell to the ground.
"What the hell?!" the boss protested.
"That was useless for you buddy, Billy and I are bulletproof" Supergirl said with a smile and kicked him in the groin. "this is for kidnapping Josh"
"and this is for mistaking him with me and you almost killed him" Shazam said giving him and the henchman another blow, they both fell to the ground unconscious, then they approached Josh and untied him. "Are you okay dude?"
"Yeah, thank you" Josh nods, getting up from the floor and looking at the two superheroes. "Oh my God…Supergirl and…you…you are…"
"I know, it's crazy," Shazam told him. "But it's true"
"Let's get out of here before the bullies wake up" Kara told them.
"But they will escape and try to kidnap me again" Josh said, panicking.
"The police are here," Shazam informed them. "they no longer have an escape, they are screwed"
Supergirl, Shazam, and Josh ran out of the house just to meet the cops.
"Hello officers, the criminals are inside; you can stop by to arrest them," Kara said with a smile. "My friend Shazam and I are taking Josh back home."
"Good job superheros" said the commander in chief. "I'll owe you forever, we've been looking for those troublemakers for months but they ran away"
"They won't be a problem anymore," Shazam told them. "they are all yours"
We will take care of it, thanks for everything" said the female police officer and both she and the commander entered the house pointing the gun.
The two criminals departed in a daze.
"Police! Don't move!" the commander yelled. "hands up!"
The criminals raised their hands, the female police officer, whose name was Jennifer Stone, stood behind them and put handcuffs on them. "You have the right to remain silent, everything you say will be used against you"
"You are under arrest for mistaken identity, attempted murder and kidnapping" ordered the commander in chief leading the other criminal in handcuffs as they left the house.
Josh and his two rescuers watched as the cops herded the criminals into the patrol car and drove away.
"Thank you" Josh told them, hugging Shazam and Supergirl. "I thought I was going to die and never see my family again"
"Well Josh, you're safe now," Supergirl told him, smiling. "ready to go home?"
"Wait first I have to do something" Josh told him and looked at the adult superhero that accompanied Supergirl. "Do you really look just like me?"
"I can show you if you want," Shazam told him with a smile. "Shazam"
Once again, the lightning hit the chest of the adult superhero transforming back into Billy, Josh was surprised to see that Billy was exactly like him.
"Surprised?" Billy told him with a smile.
"That's crazy," Josh said with a smile. "I have a twin who switches into an adult superhero, they will never believe me at school"
You better keep it a secret" Billy told him. "To avoid problems"
"I know how to keep a secret," Josh agreed.
"If you were surprised by Billy, well…" Kara put her glasses back on.
"I can't believe it, are you Marley's sister?" Josh asked.
"Yes'' Kara told him. "My parents are from Krypton and since Marley is human they couldn't take her with us so she was raised by Millie for 16 years until we met"
"This is so awesome" Josh smiles widely showing them his dimples, Billy smiles back at him; after all they were the same guy. "you guys are my two favorite superheroes"
"Well you know, you can count on us whenever you're in trouble" Billy told him.
"Nice to meet you Billy" Josh told him shaking his hand with his, he was literally shaking hands with himself.
"Nice to meet you too Josh" Billy smiles at him. "Come on, you'd better go home, there are people who will be happy to see you"
I'll take him home" Kara said to Billy, taking off her glasses. "And by the way, it was great teaming up with you."
I know, it was super cool" Billy said with a smile and came over to kiss Kara on the cheek, she smiled and shook her head.
"Okay Josh, time to go" Kara said looking at the teenager and extending her hand towards him. "You're not afraid of heights; we're going to fly"
"I trust you" Josh smiled at Kara. "Besides, I always wanted to be Peter Pan and feel like I was flying to Neverland, the good news is that I already have my Wendy '' he sighed thinking of Michelle.
"Speaking of your Wendy, she'll be happy to see you too and so will the others" Kara assured him; Josh took her hand, but not before they both said goodbye to Billy, who waved back.
Kara as Supergirl without letting go of Josh's hand flew back to Lima, Ohio to return him safe and sound to his family.
An hour later, Kara and Josh landed on Josh's house; Kara immediately buttons back her blouse and puts on her glasses.
"Thank you for rescuing me and bringing me back home" Josh said to Kara. "I will owe you forever; And Marley definitely has an amazing older sister."
"You're Marley's friend so you're mine too" Kara said. "And what about you? Wasn't it great to meet your twin in person?"
"Yeah, especially since he can transform into an adult superhero by yelling the magic word," Josh agreed. "and by the way, it was fun to fly"
"I know" Kara told him. "okay here we go" Kara and Josh walked towards the porch. "you better knock"
Josh nodded and knocked nervously on the door until Kara encouraged him, Josh knocked harder until the door opened and he found himself face to face with his father.
"Josh?" Caleb spoke in a trembling voice.
"Hi Dad" Josh said with tears in his eyes.
"Oh my God" Caleb cried with joy and hugged his son tightly. "My little man, I missed you so much"
"Me too Dad" Josh cried. "I thought I´d never see you again"
"Caitlin! my love come quickl!" Caleb called his wife.
"What's going on?" Caitlin said running towards her husband and saw that he was hugging a boy. "Josh? Is that you honey?"
"Mom…" Josh pulled away from his father's embrace and looked at his mother, who put her hands on his cheeks. "I'm home"
"Oh my baby" Caitlin cried with joy and hugged him while kissing his forehead, his eyelids, his hair and his cheeks. "I love you so much" she and her husband hugged their son tightly and refused to let him go.
"Thank you" Caleb said to Kara, who smiled back at them and walked away to give the Peterson family privacy and have a happy reunion.
Back at McKinley, everyone was in the choir room, still sad, still waiting for news about Josh; Michelle was with them as she refused to part with her beloved boyfriend.
"Hey, why the sad faces?" Kara asked, walking into the choir room. "I have a surprise for you"
"It's been weeks and we still haven't heard from Josh" Tina said sadly.
"You can come in now" Kara told the boy with a smile and stepping aside, Josh walked into the choir room and everyone's faces lit up.
"Oh my God" Kurt put his hand to his mouth.
"Josh!" Rachel yelled and everyone stopped to hug him, Josh laughing, let himself be hugged.
"I don't get it, how did you manage to escape?" Olivia was confused.
"We all thought you wouldn't survive, even Marley and us had a vigil," Finn said.
"And we prayed for you, even Kurt who is an atheist," said Mercedes.
"It's a long story but…I'm glad to be home" Josh said as everyone parted ways. "I'm not going anywhere"
"Josh!" Michelle yelled running towards her boyfriend.
"My love" Josh said in response and hugged his girlfriend kissing her everywhere until her mouth, the two began to kiss passionately before the astonished gaze of all the spectators.
"Well now that Josh is here we can focus on the regionals rehearsal," said Will with a smile.
"Mr. Schue, Josh just got back, give him a break" Finn said and they all laughed.
"Actually...I want to sing something," Josh said. "but I would like Marley to join"
"It would be an honor to sing with you Josh," Marley said with a smile.
(Josh sat on a stool in the middle of the choir room next to Marley and start playing the guitar as Will, Kara, Michelle and the rest of New Directions watched him and Marley sing with smile on their faces)
