Chapter 19.-National City
Hey guys! Thank you so much, I´m really happy and grateful for all the support you are giving to this story even though I´m not very good. I want to tell you that you encourage me to continue writing despite the fact that I haven't had good days lately, and despite the fact that I broke my ankle and started my physical therapy, I take the time to advance in this story, which has eight chapters left to go. finish it after almost four years. It is a story that I will certainly treasure.
This time we will focus solely on Marley and her trip to National City to spend the summer with her sister; therefore there will be no scenes at McKinley or in the choir room. I hope you like it and enjoy it.
(Marley is walking through the airport dragging her suitcase as she listens to the flight announcement and Kara walks beside her, also with her bags)
Marley voice over:
Finally the day has come, I'm going to spend the summer in National City with my incredible sister. Honestly, I still think this is a dream, I mean... who knew that a simple 16 year old girl who attends a high school in Lima Ohio, is a member of the glee club and her mom is a cook in the cafeteria, turned out to be the younger sister of the real Supergirl?
(Kara looks at Marley suddenly with a smile and they continue walking, Marley sees several people with their bags checking their luggage and others going to the boarding room)
In my case, it's real, the best thing is that I'll get to know the city that saw Kara grow up in all aspects. I am excited to see where she works or the agency where her sister Alex trains her, the simple idea excites me.
(Kara walks over to the counter to check her and Marley's bags, Marley looks at her sister and then looks at her cell phone, the picture of her with the glee club after winning regionals and Mr. Schuester holding the first place trophy )
But I'd be lying if I didn't say I'm not going to miss them. Don't get me wrong, spending the summer with Kara is what I've always wanted and I can't believe it's coming true. It's like the genie in the lamp granted my wish, it's just... the glee club, the kids are my family.
(Marley changes the photo and there is one of her and Sebastian looking at each other in love and touching their foreheads)
Especially...I'm going to miss my boyfriend, I'll be away from home for eight weeks and it's not the same to be cuddling, walking hand in hand or kissing than talking on video call. It's the furthest we've ever been apart and it's the first time I'm really happy. Sebastian Smythe is the best thing that ever happened to me.
(Marley smiles as she looks at the photo and runs her fingers across the screen)
Although I also know that this time we will be away will make us stronger.
"Okay Marls, I just checked our bags and the flight leaves in two hours so we have enough time to go get a snack" Kara said approaching her sister and noticed that she was looking at the photos on her cell phone. "don't worry, we will return to Lima before you know it, we will only leave during the summer"
I know" said Marley looking at her sister and putting her cell phone inside her backpack. "but I don't deny that I'm going to miss my friends, especially Sebastian"
"Well, Sebastian is your boyfriend," Kara whispered. "so it's obvious that you miss him more"
"I wish he could join us on the trip, that's all" Marley sighed. "Even though I know that's not possible, his father asked him to work at Lima Bean since he and his mom are going on a trip for their wedding anniversary."
I didn't know Sebastian worked as a barista" Kara said surprised.
"Me neither, until the other day when I went for hot chocolate I discovered it behind the counter," said Marley. "I was surprised to see him there, and that's why I told him not to charge me for the chocolate"
You'll see him soon, you guys can video chat daily," Kara suggested. "And unlike what happened between me and Adam, I'm sure things will work out between you and Sebastian"
"How are you so sure?" asked Marley. "You said it yourself, long distance relationships are bound to fail"
If you two really love each other, then that's what matters" Kara assured her younger sister. "Come on,I have something that will make you feel better"
Marley didn't say anything but followed her sister and they walked through the terminal until they found Finn, Rachel, Olivia, Amanda, Ryder, Marissa, Josh, Danielle, Sebastian, Will and Emma.
"Oh my gosh, what are you guys doing here?" Marley asked with a big shocked smile on her face.
Did you really think we'd let you go without saying goodbye?" Rachel said. "I know you're going to spend the summer with Kara but we wanted to come to the airport."
"It was Finn and Rachel's idea," said Will. "the others were going to come as well but..."
"That's more than enough," Marley says, feeling touched. "the important thing is that you are here"
"Are you nervous about getting on a plane?" Josh asked. "The first time I panicked but then the feeling of going on clouds is pretty cool actually"
"You definitely have to try the airplane snacks," Finn said.. "they are amazing, especially the Japanese peanuts, and ask for those amazing airplane cups, Rachel and I got ones like that on our first date"
"Thanks Finn, I'll keep that in mind" said Marley laughing.
How do you feel about going to National City?" Olivia asked her. "I bet you're excited to see that place because that's where Kara lived."
"I'm really excited," said Marley, smiling. "I can't wait to tell you everything, the little I've seen of that city has been in photos and it's great"
The glee club won't be the same without you" Ryder said.
"She's only leaving for the summer, Ry," Marissa told her boyfriend. "It's obvious that Marley will be back, isn't it?" she asked Marley.
"Of course I'll be back, it's not goodbye" Marley says.. "and I'll see if I can bring you a souvenir"
Don't worry about it now, enjoy your vacation" Emma said.. "Actually, I have something for you" she took out of her bag one of her famous pamphlets, with a drawing of two little dolls and a sign saying "so you will spend the summer with your older sister and hand it to Marley.
"Your famous pamphlets" Marley said laughing and taking it. "it's adorable, i love it"
"I thought they could accompany you during the trip, so you won't feel alone," added Emma.
"Thank you Miss Pillsbury," Marley says smiling. "with this, I won't be alone"
Maybe you'll be inspired to write a new song" said Danielle and everyone laughed.
"Good point, Marley has the talent of songwriting," Will points out. "Thanks to her and Olivia we won the sectionals and regionals''
"And the other day she wrote an amazing song called 'You Never Know,'" Rachel recalled. "We sang it with her in the auditorium."
"We're going to miss you Marley" Amanda said. "but I know you'll be back soon"
Exactly, I'll be back before you know it" said Marley smiling.
"Passengers bound for National City, please board room B" announced the female voice through the horn.
"Well, it's our flight," Kara said looking at her sister.
"I know," Marley says and then looks at her friends and boyfriend. "I'm going to miss you guys so much"
So do we, but you just said it, you're only going away for the summer" Josh reminded her. "Better be happy because you're going to have an amazing vacation with Kara"
"I will," Marley nods.
"Come here" Olivia says and opens her arms, Marley walks over her and hugs her, everyone else hugs her back forming a big group hug.
Come on guys, let's give Marley and her boyfriend some privacy"" Will said to his students and they all walked away including Kara.
"I'll be honest, it's going to suck not being with you every day" Sebastian told her looking into her eyes and taking her hands. "Seeing your beautiful face through a camera is not the same as kissing your perfect lips and holding your hand"
I wish you could come with me babe" Marley said sadly to her boyfriend. "I'm starting to miss you and I still haven't gotten on the plane"
I'm going to miss you too baby" Sebastian told her stroking her long brown hair. "but I promise to call you every day"
"And we'll Skype at night before bed," Marley promised.
"We can send each other cheesy flirty texts," Sebastian said, making Marley laugh.
I have your hoodie" Marley points out.. "I will hug it every night before going to sleep and I will imagine that you are there, your scent won't make me feel alone"
"Last call, passengers bound for National City, please board room B" the female voice said again through the horn.
"Marley, we have to go or we'll miss the flight, say goodbye now" Kara said approaching her sister and her sister-in-law. "I'm sorry Seb, you can talk to Marley when we get to National City, I will take care of her for you"
"goodbye my handsome prince" said Marley passionately kissing Sebastian. "I love you"
"And I'll call you later beautiful," Sebastian told her, kissing her once more. "and I'll see you in eight weeks"
Guys, Kara and Marley are leaving," Will said to his students.
"Bye Marley" said Finn, Rachel, Josh, Sebastian, Amanda, Ryder, Marissa, Olivia and Danielle waving goodbye.
(Marley approaches each one and hugs them until they wave goodbye, Kara also hugs them and says goodbye, Marley goes up the escalator to the boarding room and sees in the distance how her friends, boyfriend and her teachers say goodbye to her)

(Marley walks to the boarding room looking sadly that she said goodbye to her friends but then smiles at Kara who comforts her and reaches out for her hand, Marley takes her and both sisters walk to the gate to board the plane)

(Marley watches The Princess Diaries 2 movie on her laptop while enjoying the flight, still holding Kara's hand, who turns to look at her with a smile)

Honey, you're here!" said Eliza, hugging her daughter. "oh, how I missed you"
"Me too mom" Kara said, hugging Eliza.
"Come here kiddo" Jeremiah told her with a smile and hugging his daughter. "You're taller than I remembered"
"Dad, I've always been tall," Kara laughed.
"He says that because he hasn't seen you in a long time," Alex said, hugging her. "finally you came"
"Yes and...I have a surprise for you," Kara said, stepping aside. "Jeremiah, Eliza and Alex Danvers, I want to introduce someone very special to me. Guys...meet Marley Rose, Marley, these are my family"
"Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Danvers; hey Alex," Marley greeted with a smile as she shook hands with each one. "It's nice to finally meet you"
" You too Marley," Alex said. "it's an honor to finally meet you"
"This is your sister?" Eliza asked, looking at the young girl with brown hair and blue eyes. "oh dear she is adorable and looks just like you"
"Are you sure you guys aren't twins?" Jeremiah asked.
"It's what everyone thinks because Kara and I are physically identical but…I'm sixteen and she's an adult" Marley said shyly. "Plus…my hair is brown," she added, touching the strands of her hair.
I'm not upset, you did the right thing" Kara said. "Now my family is complete" she looked at her adoptive family and her biological sister. "I couldn't ask for better"
"So…you're also adopted?" Marley asked.
"Yeah, like you I also arrived with an adoptive family, my cousin... I mean…, our cousin left me in the care of doctors Danvers and their daughter" Kara explained with a smile.
"Why don't we go get something to eat and continue the conversation?" Eliza suggested. "The girls have just arrived from the trip and they must be exhausted"
"good idea" Alex points out.. "and tomorrow we can give Marley a tour of the city"
"Yeah Marley, what do you think?" Jeremiah asked the teenager. "Would you like us to take you to see the most emblematic places of National City?"
"I'd love to," said Marley excitedly. "I'm already excited that I'll be spending the summer with Kara and it was nice meeting you so...I'm in."
An hour later, the Danvers family decided to take Marley to eat at Noona's, besides the fact that the food was exquisite, the specialty of the house was the biscuits.
"What a nice place" said Marley when the five entered the restaurant after the hostess assigned them a table.
"It's Kara's favorite place," Alex told her. "but you have to try the biscuits, they are the specialty of the house"
"Once a waitress asked her how she ate so much if she was so skinny and she told them she was an alien" Jeremiah said with a smile.
"Okay dad, it's clear that Marley got the point," Kara said, shaking her head and smiling. "Marls, sit next to me" the teen nods and sits next to her older sister.
"And how long are you staying here?" Eliza asked Marley.
"for the summer only" said Marley. "I wanted to know the place where Kara lives and everyone knows her as Supergirl"
"Wait, do you know her secret?" Jeremiah asked.
"Dad, it's clear that Marley was going to find out about the letter sooner or later," Alex told him.
"Actually…I found out I'm adopted," Marley commented. "My mom, who is the cook in the cafeteria at McKinley High School, was the one who found me as a baby and told me the truth about me and Kara. Plus...I know I'm human, so it was safe for me to stay in Earth because Krypton was not a habitable planet for me"
"the important thing is that both were able to meet" said Eliza while Kara and Marley looked at each other and took hands.
"So…Marley Rose, tell us about yourself" Jeremiah wanted to know.
"You can call me Marley," Marley said with a shy smile. "Well I turned sixteen a few months ago, I'm a sophomore at McKinley, um...I thought I was an only child until I found out that Kara is my biological sister and I have two parents...well, I had two alien parents, my mom says I´m a pet psychic,I have a false bottom of my desk drawer when I have a notebook full of the songs that I wrote…"
"Wait a minute, do you write songs?" Alex asks her, surprised.
"She's really good," Kara said, smiling. "Did you know that thanks to my little sister´s original song her choir won first place in the sectionals competition?"
"Seriously?" Jeremiah was surprised.
"Well, it wasn't really me," Marley explained. "there's a girl in the glee club named Olivia Michaels, she's a friend of mine and Rachel's, in fact she came to see me off at the airport with the other kids, Mr. Schue and Miss Pillsbury, but Olivia is also talented, she has written amazing songs"
"Maybe one day you want to share some of your songs," said Alex. "I'm sure they're great"
Of course I would, I would love to" said Marley with a huge smile.
"The good thing is that you will be here for the summer so you will have all the time in the world" Eliza said and everyone laughed.
"I see that the whole family is here" said the waitress approaching with a smile to take the order. "Kara, it's nice to see you again" she looked at Marley. "Did you dye your hair brown?"
"Margaret, I'm here" Kara told the waitress kindly.
"Oh my, excuse me dear" the waitress apologized." I'm seeing double"
"Actually I'm Marley Rose" Marley introduced herself to the waitress shaking hands with hers.. "Kara is my sister"
"They are twins?" Margaret asked Eliza, Alex and Jeremiah.
"Not exactly, Kara is older than Marley," Alex explained. "They will have the same face but Marley is brunette and Kara is blonde"
"This is not the usual," said Margaret laughing. "sorry for the confusion"
"Don't worry Margaret, you're not the only one," Kara said with a smile. "But yeah," she wrapped her arm around Marley's shoulders. "Marley is my sister who is coming to visit from Lima Ohio, she will be here for summer vacation"
It's nice to meet you, young lady," Margaret said to Marley.
"The pleasure is mine," smiled Marley. "my sister told me that your biscuits are the specialty of the house"
"That's right Marley," said Margaret. "Would you like one for dessert?"
"Thanks, that would be nice," said Marley.
"Okay, and what would you like to order?" Margaret asked.
"I want a chicken Alfredo," said Jeremiah.
"Caesar salad for me," Eliza said. "I'm on a diet"
"We'll have chicken alfredo pasta too," Alex said after checking with Kara and Marley.
"Okay," said Margaret, taking notes on her notepad. "Something to drink?"
"Four beers and a lemonade for Marley" Jeremiah said, since Marley was the only one in the group who was underage.
"Right away," Margaret said and walked away to let the Danvers family and their guest talk.
"And how did you meet?" Eliza asked.
"Well…it was actually thanks to Finn and his girlfriend Rachel, who are friends with Marley and are also in the glee club," Kara explained. "It was them who introduced me to Marley"
"Although at first it was a bit awkward because I passed out," said Marley blushing.
I guess it was from the impression" said Alex.
"Yes, it was, but eventually Marley and I were able to reunite and here we are now" Kara answered with a smile.
"By the way, I was surprised that you returned to National City, I thought you moved to Lima to be close to your sister," said Jeremiah. "Besides, your boss has a headquarters there"
"I just came on vacation just like Marley dad," Kara said. "We'll both be back when the fall starts, Marley's going to be a junior, and the glee club has to get ready for nationals."
well, here's your order" said Margaret returning to the table and placing the food in front of them along with the drinks. "enjoy"
"Thanks Margaret" Eliza said, thanking the kind waitress, who left again. "And do you know where Marley will stay?"
"With Kara and me obviously" Alex said. "My apartment is quite big and I prepared some inflatable beds for them to sleep on"
"Thanks Alex" Marley said smiling and saw that her cell phone was ringing. "I'm sorry, it's my mom. I have to answer the call"
"Go ahead," Jeremiah told her, seeing how Marley thanked him and got up from the table for a moment to answer the call.
"Well, what do you think of Marley so far?" Kara asked when she was left alone with her parents and sister.
she's a very sweet girl" said Jeremiah. "and she's talented"
"She's also beautiful," Eliza said with a smile. "it was a miracle that you found her honey"
"I know,Marley is the only thing I have left from my parents and I'm afraid of losing her," Kara said sadly.
"You're not going to lose her Kara, no matter what happens, you guys have each other" Alex said. "and curiously, I also feel that she is my sister"
"I'm sure Marley will appreciate that since you're my sister too" Kara said to Alex and they both watched Marley walk back to the table and sit down. "all good?"
"Yeah thanks Alex, it was my mom," said Marley. "she just wanted to know if I arrived safely, I told her that you met Kara and me at the airport and we went to eat something"
Hopefully soon we can meet Millie" said Eliza.
"Right now she can't travel because she's working in the school kitchen but she said she's coming for thanksgiving" Marley explained and the five of them finally sat down to enjoy Noona's delicious food.
After sharing the dessert that Marley tasted, Jeremiah and Eliza said goodbye to the girls to go home.
"We're here" Alex said as she, Kara and Marley walked through the halls until they reached the floor of her apartment. "home Sweet Home"
"Thank you" said Marley; Alex opened the door and the three entered the house. "This is your apartment?" added the teenager, opening her eyes wide and looking around her.
"Yes" Alex said.
"I definitely remembered it was smaller," Kara commented.
"I had to do some remodeling," Alex explained, closing the door. "Kara, make yourself at home while I give your little sister a tour and then I'll give you privacy so you can get comfortable and unpack."
"Yeah, that's fine by me" Kara says smiling as Alex and Marley start walking around the apartment.
"Why doesn't she come with us?" asked Marley.
"Kara already knows my apartment, so she prefers that I give you a tour because it's your first time here and you'll be on vacation all summer" Alex explained with a smile. "And by the way, what I said a little while ago in the restaurant was true, it's an honor to finally meet you. I had heard about you because Clark discovered the letter your parents left Kara on the ship, but seeing you in person is totally different "
"I know what you mean," Marley commented with a giggle. "I never imagined that my favorite superhero would be my sister all this time," she sighed. "I know my mom told me the truth and I was a little unfair confronting her, but if it wasn't for Finn and Rachel, I never would've met Kara."
you're lucky to have Kara as your sister" confessed Alex. "at first I didn't feel very comfortable that Kara lived with us, I was comfortable being an only child and that all the attention was on me, when Kara came to earth, I I felt jealous because my parents began to give her all the attention, then... upon discovering her big heart, I began to love her and to this day we are the best of friends. I don't know what I would do if something happened to her"
I know, she's amazing" Marley said.. "and it's like a part of my parents are with me, I feel that... when Kara is there, they are not gone"
It's a little strange that you look just like Kara, I could swear it was her only with brown hair" Alex said and both she and Marley laughed.
"Yeah, it's weird," Marley said. "A while ago your dad thought we were twins, but I explained that it was genetics; Kara is much older than me"
Okay Marley, I'll give you a tour of the apartment" Alex said as they both walked. "This is the living room, there's the TV and you can watch whatever you want, there's the kitchen, the pantry is filled with everything you want to eat, including microwave popcorn" they continued walking towards a small room. "this is the laundry room" they went to the end of the corridor. "This is the bathroom and then there is my room, as you can see...the beds are already prepared for you and Kara to sleep, and... I saved the best for last" he added with a smile. "Kara, come"
"What's up?" Kara asked, getting up from the couch and putting the photo album aside. "I was looking at pictures"
"Trust me, you'll like this," her sister assured her. Kara followed Alex and Marley through a few doors until they stepped out onto the balcony and took in the view.
"Wow, what a wonderful landscape" Marley said in amazement.
"You can see the whole city from here," Kara agreed.
"I told you" Alex muttered, smiling. "That's why I like to come to the balcony, it offers an incredible view"
It certainly is," Marley said with a sigh.
"Well, what are the plans for this summer?" Alex wanted to know.
"Show Marley the city of course" Kara said with a confident smile. "I want to spend as much time as possible with her"
"I like that idea," said Marley, smiling. "after all it's us against the world"
(Scene changes to Marley and Kara walking out of the house the next day with smiles on their faces and arms linked, Alex closes the door behind her and follows them, shaking her head and smiling)

"Okay, this is the definitely the best day of my life" Marley says giggling an hour later when her, Kara and Alex were sitting outside a small square and eating an ice cream "There were so many places that I liked that I don't know which one to choose"
"The good thing is that we had all day to visit almost all of them," added Alex with a smile.
"I know," Kara commented, taking a spoonful of her ice cream. "To be honest, when I returned to National City I realized that there are new things"
Well, they opened a new art gallery, there are new shopping centers and they remodeled the park" commented Alex.
"Yes, it is clear that there are new things" Kara said nodding, suddenly she was in a catatonic state.
"Kara, are you okay?" Marley asked, putting a hand on her sister's shoulder, but she didn't react.
"HELP! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME! THEY'RE TAKING MY SON!" a male voice screaming in anguish was heard in the distance.
"I have to go," Kara said, standing up suddenly. "a child is being kidnapped"
"Wait, I thought you were spending the day with Marley" Alex told her sister.
"I know but…" Kara started to say.
"Go Kara, I get it" Marley told her softly.
"Marley…" Kara whispered.
"You're a superhero, it's your job to help people" replied Marley. "Go, don't worry about me, I'll be fine"
I promise I'll be back soon" Kara said hugging her younger sister and then she looked at Alex. "please take care of her"
"I will, I already babysat a teenager once, I won't have a problem taking care of another" Alex told her. "go, run"
Kara stood up, opened her blouse revealing the S on her suit, and ran off before taking flight.
(Alex and Marley watch Kara fly away and both feel homesick, while both Kara and Supergirl fly to the rescue of the kidnapped boy, although she feels good helping people, she also feels torn about leaving her little sister behind)

(The days are passing by, Kara is fulfilling her duties as Supergirl, Marley starts to feel lonely as she watches her sister leave, Kara as Supergirl wants to spend time with Marley but she has more and more responsibilities as a superhero)

Kara lands in Alex´s apartment where Alex is putting the plates inside of the microwave, Alex sees her sister arrive and greets her with a sad smile.
"Hey, how was it?" Alex asks as Kara sighs and goes to the kitchen to grab a glass of water.
I can't believe that since I've been back in National City I've saved more lives and fought crime than when I lived here" Kara said. "Being a superhero is exhausting" she looked around. "Where's Marley?"
"Sleeping, she wanted to wait for you to have supper together but since you were out saving the world, she preferred to go to bed" Alex said. "I just put your dinner in the microwave"
I feel bad" Kara said sadly. "I am a terrible sister, I promised her that we would spend the summer together and I am abandoning her to go help people"
"Kara it's not your fault" Alex told her. "Marley understands that you are Supergirl, and therefore it is your duty to protect the citizens of National City, although if you gave your busy schedule some space to make it up to her it would be the best"
"You´re right, I´m going to make it up to her" Kara says as she goes to the room, Marley was sleeping peacefully holding the blanket closer to her, she sighs as she leans and kisses her little sister on the forehead.
"Kara?" Marley asks sleepy as she blinks and tries to sit up in the bed. "you´re here"
sorry Marley Bear, I didn't mean to wake you up" Kara said softly. "yes, I´m here now"
"How did you do fighting crime and saving people?" Marley wanted to know.
"Marley, it's late, you need to sleep" Kara asked.
"All I want is to spend time with my sister," said Marley, no longer feeling sleepy. "You promised we'd spend the summer together Kara, I understand you have superhero responsibilities but... I hardly see you and now that you're here after saving the day do you want me to go to sleep?"
"I did everything to be with you Marley" Kara said. "I even moved to Lima, but those people also need me and there are people out there who are suffering or in serious danger. I feel torn because it hurts me to leave you and I can't let them down either"
I know that, and I'm not forcing you to be with me if you don't want to" Marley said sadly. "You can't be in two places at once"
"Marley..." Kara tried to say.
"You're right, it's late" she went back under the covers. "good night Kara"
Kara sighed as Marley fell asleep again, turned off the lamp on the nightstand, and left the room, closing the door behind her.
"What happened? I thought you would make it up to Marley" Alex said. "Lately she has been feeling lonely because her older sister is busy"
"I tried and it only made things worse," Kara said. "I don't want Marley to end up resenting me because her summer was ruined"
give it time, she's only sixteen" Kara told him. "why don't you take a break? You already saved many lives for today"
"I think you're right," Kara said, taking her plate from the microwave. "Do you mind if I have dinner? I'm hungry"
"Of course not," Alex said smiling. "Marley cooked by the way, it's Millie's recipe" Kara sighed and a tear slipped down her cheek. "hey, it's okay" she approached to hug her sister, who burst into tears. "don't feel guilty"
"Marley hates me," Kara cried. "and I don't blame her, I broke my promise"
"No, don't say that" Alex told her. "Marley is nice and kind, she would never hate you. She may be sad and disappointed because you were busy but I assure you she doesn't hate you"
"I don't hate you Kara" Marley spoke suddenly and the two women turned to see the teenager, who was standing in the room. "I understand that you must be under a lot of pressure to be a superhero and many lives depend on you, I should've been more understanding. It's just...I wish I couldve spent more time with you."
"Come here little sis" Kara said, opening her arms, Marley smiled and walked over to hug her sister. "Marley, I'm so sorry. I promised to give you an unforgettable summer and I only left you to go save lives and fight crime. How about this?, tomorrow it will just be you and me, we will spend the rest of the day together"
"Are you sure?" Marley asks her shyly. "I don't want to interrupt you from your responsibilities as a superhero"
" I know that I am a superhero," Kara replies softly, taking her sister's hands in hers and looking at her. "but you are more important and you are the only thing that I have left of my family. I love you so much and I promised to take care of you"
You don't have to," Marley said sadly.
"I want to do it Marley," Kara said. "You will be here for almost two months for the summer and you deserve a great vacation. Besides, you´ll have something new to tell your friends, your mom and your boyfriend" Marley smiles widely at her sister and she hugs her tightly.
"I love you so much," Marley says to her. "you are an amazing sister and I know I told you before but it is no coincidence that you are my favorite superhero"
"I love you too," Kara smiles at her. "and you're mine"
"Oh wait, I have something for you," Marley said, going to Alex's room for a CD. "Alex, can you play the track?"
"It will be an honor" Alex said, taking the CD and placing it on the stereo in the living room, before playing the track.
(The track starts playing as Marley looks at her sister and starts singing softly and beautiful, it's a song that she wrote titled "Charmed life)

Scene goes back to the apartment where Marley finished singing her song as Kara and Alex applaud her but Alex decided to give both sisters some privacy since they barely have time to spend with each other.
"I'm so proud of you," Kara said, hugging her sister. "Did you write that song?"
"I had to do something while you were out saving people," Marley said with a smile. "Do you like it?"
"I love it," Kara smiled. "it's a beautiful ballad and the lyrics describe you perfectly as you are"
"I wanted to give you a piece of me in case we ever go our separate ways," Marley said.
We're not going to be apart Marley, we'll always be together" Kara told her and they both hugged again. "Now we're going to sleep, a great day awaits us tomorrow"
"I can't wait to tell my mom everything, Sebastian, Finn, Rachel, Olivia, Josh, Danielle…" Marley began excitedly.
"And I'm sure they'll be excited to hear about your adventure in National City," Kara said smiling.
The two sisters went to sleep with smiles on their faces, excitedly hoping that the next day would come soon so they could spend more time together and that Marley would have a memorable summer.
