Derek and Penelope were currently sitting in a cubicle in the ER, she had already given a urine specimen and the nurse had just left with several vials of blood so that they could run tests on Penelope to see what was wrong, Derek sat by her side holding her hand and telling her over and over that it was probably nothing, probably just stress from everything that she had been through over the past few months

While they sat there alone they talked about their wedding, neither could hardly wait to be married, they couldn't wait to spend the rest of their lives together, they also knew that tomorrow was going to be filled with emotions but they were definitely up to the challenge. Derek gently squeezed her hand and said, "I love you baby girl, I always have and I always will".

She grinned at him and said, "and I love you angel fish, I have dreamed of being with you since the day we met but I never dreamed in a million years that a chubby nerdy oracle like myself would ever land The Derek Morgan". Derek laughed and said, "actually baby girl I was thinking the same thing about myself, how I don't deserve you, I'm no where near your league but you still want to be with me and for that I'll always be grateful".

Penelope brought her hand up to his cheek, she caressed it and said, "you're my everything and don't ever think different", he winked at her and said, "right back at ya princess, right back at ya" causing her to smile as he leaned in and pressed his lips gently against hers, as they pulled apart they both sighed happily.

Derek rested his forehead against hers and said, "you know that when we get out of here that we'll have to go our separate ways for the night, right:?, she bit down on her bottom lip and said, "yea I know and if I know our bunch like I think I do they are probably split up right now with the women in one place and the men in another getting ready for tonight".

Derek laughed and said, "you're probably right there gorgeous", they sat there in silence for a few minutes before the doctor walked back into the room with Penelope's chart in her hand. She pulled the curtain and walked over and stood in front of the very nervous couple, she looked down at them as she readied to speak.

Penelope swallowed hard as she sat there waiting, maybe something was wrong, something really bad but those thoughts left her when the doctor looked at them and smiled as she said, "everything checked out fine, she's not sick, her results all came back good except for one thing".

Derek and Penelope looked at each other and said in unison, "what one thing"?, she said, "well in her blood work Ms. Garcia's hcg level is elevated" and Derek said, "meaning what doctor"? the doctor grinned at the unsuspecting man and said, "meaning that Ms. Garcia is pregnant, according to her bloodwork and her urine specimen she is around 7 weeks along"

Penelope's hand slid down to her stomach and she said, "p p pregnant, a baby, I'm having a, we're having a baby"?, the doctor said, "yes, congratulations", she then handed her a script for prenatal vitamins and said, "this is for your prenatal vitamins I suggest you start taking them immediately and find yourself an OB".

he couple smiled at her and said "thank you", they then stood up and walked hand in hand out of the ER, when they got into their car and headed out of the parking lot she said, "are you happy about the baby, I know we never talked about having children so fast and" Derek stopped her rambling by saying, "yes sweetness I'm very happy, inside you is a perfect little baby that is part me and part you and I can't wait to meet him or her"

She reached over and took his hand in hers and said, "me either sugar shack, me either" and as they headed back to casa Rossi to meet up with the others they couldn't wait to meet the newest member of their family and see what their future held.
