Welcome back to chapter 2, before we start I have some news. There's another author on this site, silverkingofgames, I happen to know him IRL. He's put his profile on permanent hiatus as he said and I offered to adopt his stories, and he said yes! If you have the time you should go check them out and figure which ones you'd be interested in seeing me write in my own style.
Now onto the reviews Supers Squashman said they hope I don't spend too much time on Naruto's childhood, and hopes i get to the academy arc quickly. Well the first four or five chapters are going to be a slow burn, but they are necessary to do some world building which the rest of my story is planned around, But after that it's going to skip immediately to Naruto in the academy.
Chapter review: In chapter one, Minato invited rasa over to the Leaf, they agreed to an alliance. Naruto showed Garra the Hokage monument where Rasa invited them to come to Suna where he wanted Jiraiya to help seal the Ichibi in Garra. At the end, the group headed uot and now we find them at the border.

Chapter 2 - Sand Skirmish
"Wow, so cool!" Naruto was leaning as far forward over Minato's shoulder as he could, the group had just made it to the border, where grass met sand and ran into an endless sea of desert. "It looks like this dessert doesn't end!"
"Now Naruto, it's desert, not dessert."
Rasa leaned over "how long do you think it'll be before he starts complaining of the heat?"
"Not to long, it's already starting to get humid. Any advice?"
"Actually yes" Rasa raised his voice so the rest of the Leaf nin could hear "if you see a wall of dust off in the distance let us know! That's a sure sign of a sand storm! Trust me, you don't want to be caught up in one! You'll be tempted to drink your water every few minutes, don't. We have more than enough to get to Suna, but to much hydration in this heat could make you sluggish. If you start feeling light headed let one of my ninja know."
"You know these anbu are elites, even compared to normal anbu right?"
"I know that, but have your men trained for the extreme weather of the desert? Hot in the day and freezing at night?"
"Fair enough, I have some lumber sealed away somewhere, are fires safe to light at night?"
"Well with this many men I don't think any bandits will want to pick a fight, so it should be safe."
Jiraiya spoke up, picking Naruto off of Minato's shoulders "any dangers we should know about ahead of time?"
"Will Watanabi should have told your man, but like every nation these sands are home to any number of missing nin, other than that giant scorpions can be a problem, but the route we plan to take should avoid any known nests. Plus the fire should keep them away. I suggest a few of my men and a couple of yours go ahead and secure our camping ground for the night, I don't expect any trouble but some scorpions are known to change they're migratory patterns this time of year."
"Fair enough, Inu pick two men to go with Rasa's people, I want our camp set up by the time we get there."
"Yes Lord Fourth, Taka and Hebi you're up."
It was a relatively simple travel to a small oasis five hours away, and it was safe to say Naruto was already exhausted from the heat, he was hanging off of Jiraiya's shoulder , a large round hat defending him from the sun. "Uncle Toady it's soo hot, how much longer?"
"Well Naruto considering we're half way through our first day, about two and a half days."
"Ughh...how are you not dying Garra?"
The young red head was walking beside her father, holding his hand. "You get used to it."
Rasa smiled down at Garra "hey why don't you go introduce yourself to Naruto's uncle Toady? I hear he's a real strong shinobi of the Leaf."
"Okay Father" Garra walked over to Jiraiya who picked her up and put her on his other shoulder.
"Well hello little miss, Naruto told me he showed you the best spot in the whole village!"
Rasa slowed his step so he was walking beside Minato "have you noticed it yet?"
Minato cut a sideways glance to some dunes to their right "yeah, at least four people have been following us for the last two hours"
The Kazekage chuckled "you're not used to the desert so I'll forgive you for not seeing that there are actually two separate groups of four individuals following us."
"What do you think?"
"I've been displaying my Kazekage attire since I noticed them, so that means one of three things: They don't know who they're messing with, they're desperate, or we stumbled to closely to where they're hiding out and we're being watched until we get a certain distance a way."
"Are there any places to hide out around here?"
"There are hundreds of abandoned towns, temples and ruins under these sands, if you know where to look any decent earth style user can get to them. But based on how long they've been following us, I don't think we're near one. No these people have some form of plan."
"Well they sure are in for a rude awakening and..look, our people" Minato nodded to their front, where one of Rasa's guards and Taka where heading towards them at full speed. The two Kage wasted no time, rushing to meet them in the middle. "Taka report."
The Bird masked anbu looked at his counterpart "Lord Rasa, when we got near our camping ground we saw a large group scorpions were nesting their, looks like they've been there a few days."
Rasa pinched his nose "great well that changes plans slightly."
"I'm sorry nesting?"
"This pack of scorpions has one to three females ready to give birth, which means they'll be extra aggressive and territorial if we go near. But we have a back up spot for situations like this."
"Yes sir, we went to investigate the back up spot but we'll need to pick up the pace to get there it looks like a bad sand storm is going to move over the area, within a few hours. The Leaf Anbu and the others went ahead to prepare it for us."
"Right, what about the third spot?"
"We didn't have time to check it out, but based on reports of the are near by it sounds like it was devastated by another sandstorm sir."
Rasa sighed "Well I can't in good conscious send your men into something their not prepared for, Minato do you want to head back, we can camp near the border for a day and wait for the storm to pass. We'd lose about a day doing so?"
"The Third Hokage once said that living the life of a shinobi is about braving the unknown, and marching forward. Besides one of my men is already out there. We'll continue."
"Well then we'll need to get there as fast as possible, the secondary sight won't be easy to to prepare."
The spot chosen looked like a cathedral, but it and it's many layers buried beneath the sand leaving only a narrow tower jutting outwards, the main entrance being what used to be a window. the sandstone was cracked in many places, but the Sand shinobi had done a good job patching it up and boarding it in certain areas.
"Listen everyone, when this sandstorm hits we're going to be stuck here for several hours. We won't be able to leave so if you have any business to do, do it now. Otherwise find every hole you can and cover it. IF even a small part of the storm gets in it'll tear through what we've done like paper. We have an hour."
Forty minutes later, bodies were still working, but Rasa and Minato could be found staring out the window/door. "Rasa, they followed us here."
"Yes I know, which doesn't mean anything good."
"Would they attack us during a sandstorm?"
"Well if they have any decent earth style users they could navigate the storm better than most. But they'd have to get inside to fight us, and close quarters in here is where we specialize. So I'd like to think that they'll do the smart thing and leave."
"I don't like this, Jiraiya come over here."
Jiraiya put Naruto down, leaving a small toad to play with him and Garra "yeah what's" Jiraiya saw the look in Minato's eyes "trouble?" He started scanning the area around them.
"Possibly, which is why I have a task for you. Should things go south I want you to reverse summon yourself to Mount Myoboku with Naruto until i summon you back here. He can bring Garra with him to, if that's okay with you Rasa?"
"Hmm...yes please. I'll be able to fight better if I'm not worried about protecting Garra. Look" Rasa pointed off to the horizon which was crested between two large dunes. Or at least it had been, now all they could see was a large wall of dirt and sand heading their way. "The storm is gonna be here in fifteen minutes. Let's get this hole closed up!"
"Earth release: Earth style wall! It's done Lord Hokage."
"Thanks Inu. I think Rasa has something to say."
"I do in fact-"
Woosh! Weesh!
The sudden sound of dirt scraping off of sandstone came suddenly and Rasa frowned. "That's not good, we should have had eight or nine minutes before it reached us."
"What does that mean?"
"Men prepare for an attack! Those people following us have a strong wind release user who mostly likely pushed the storm on us, probably made it bigger and more powerful too. Don't these fools know who we are!"
THUD! THUD! THUD! CRASH!
The tower shuddered and groaned as something heavy hit the walls. Minato jumped away as part of the wall he was near gave way slighlty, but hadn't buckled yet. "Well you were right about earth release users!" Minato yelled over the storm.
"Do you want me to leave?" Jiraiya shouted.
"Not yet, they haven't gotten in yet! But this tower should be concealed in the storm!"
"This is an ambush Minato, they probably had people waiting. Watch out!" Part of the south wall, the one with the entrance, had started to cave in. Rasa raised his hands and golden sand rushed forward to shore it up.
CRASH! BANG! THUD! BOOM!
All around the sounds of explosions could be heard as different parts of the wall were blown away, the surrounding storm taking no time to enter the tower. "Jiraiya now!"
The Toad Sannin couldn't see, but grabbed Garra, who was just under him and reached out until he felt Naruto's arm. He hurriedly made the handsigns before returning to the home of the Toad sages.
The sudden change in humidity didn't feel nice, but the scratching sand was gone so that was something. He looked down, Garra was tightly clutching his leg. "Hey now, it's okay we're safe now okay. Isn't that right Naru- WHO THE HELL ARE YOU!?" He shouted, for indeed Jiraiya hadn't grabbed Naruto's arm, he was holding what appeared to be an Iwa shinobi.
"I..wha...how did we..whoa!" Jiraiya, still holding the ninja by his arm, lifted him up before throwing him into a near by building. He got up and went to reach for a kunai but stopped as no less than ten toads appeared around him, holding all manner of blades up to him and his throat.
Naruto saw Jiraiya's hand reaching out for him through the storm. He was just about to grab Jiraiya's hand when another explosion rocked the tower, he lost his footing and saw a man wearing red clothes step over him. Jiraiya grabbed him instead , and pulled him through the storm. Naruto got to his feet and looked around.
"Dad" he called out, but it couldn't be heard over both the sounds of battle and the storm. He saw a flash of yellow light, something that looked similar to his dads technique. Naruto started walking towards it.
It wasn't his fault, he couldn't have known that what he actually saw was a kunai with a paper bomb attached to it. Nor could he have known that the kunai was the last move of an Iwa nin, and that in the midst of battle, and blinded, she had gotten her sense of direction confused and thrown the kunai in a hole in the wall. He certainly didn't know the direction he was heading was deeper into the storm and away from the battle.
But fate pulls her strings, never interacting directly with the world, but putting different pieces in place, so that one action leads to another. Such as, several of the explosives and jutsu aimed at the tower missed, landing in one spot. Weakening the frail foundation of the building beneath it. All it would take to cause the mound of sand laying upon it to fall was about twenty-five pounds of person walking ontop of it.
Like a young boy from Konoha. As Naruto figured out he was getting further and further away from the sounds of battle, and just as he was about to turn around there was a rumbling sound beneath him. The ground gave away, a dark whole opened up and Naruto fell inside of it. Of course so to did several tons of sand.
Minato backflipped away from the cleaver that was aimed at his chest, throwing several kunai into the chest piece of an Iwa shinobi. He stood back to back with Rasa who had just crushed someone within a coffin of golden sand. "Iwa shinobi huh? I guess they didn't take your refusal so well."
"Well bad news, I never responded to them! They shoudln't have known we were here!"
"Maybe they planned this from the start?" Minato grabbed a paper bombe out of the air and threw it up in the air "this storm is really hurting my ability to fight these ninja! Can't you do something?"
"Not in the middle of a pitched battle! What I can do requires to much concentration!" An Iwa nin ran towards Rasa, stabbing him through with a blade. Only for rasa to slump down into a pile of golden sand that quickly wrapped itself around the shinobi. Rasa reformed from the ground up beside the mound "aren't you famous for your technique that allowed you to kill hundreds of Iwa shinobi in a single battle?"
"Yeah but I need to see where I'm throwing my kunai to use it, or I might put my self in the middle of a jutsu or something! We're to spread out, we need to regroup!" Minato made two clones and all three got around Rasa "You do whatever you can do I'll keep you safe, just do something about this sand storm!"
Rasa nodded and sat on the ground to concentrate. Battle all around him, a sandstorm stinging his eyes, and scratching at his skin. Rasa couldn't stop the grin from forming on his face. "Just like sealing away the Ichibi last time." He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, then another one, then another one. With every breath, his golden sand raised off the ground, then fell then raised again just a little higher. It was also spreading outwards, bit by bit.
extending his senses through his sand was difficult at the best of times. 'There's a reason I was chosen as Kazekage dammit! I am Rasa the Living SandStorm!' Rasa raised his hands and shot them outwards. His sand flew up and started battling the storm itself. The dust that was flying everywhere seemed to recede as golden sparkles filled the air.
"HA!" His golden sand smashed against the walls filling every hole, every crack until the tower cleared and everyone was able too see. The many small fights stopped. You couldn't look anywhere without seeing a dead Suna, Konoha or Iwa Shinobi. "I won't be able to join in the fight , I've got to keep my concentration on this."
"EVERYONE!" Minato called out, grinning as he grabbed several kunai "PROTECT THE KAZEKAGE! AND IN CASE YOU FORGOT WHO I AM GET OUT OF MY WAY!" He flung his kunai in an upward arc, flashing here and there delivering punches and kicks. With a roar both Konoha and Suna surged back into battle with renewed resolve.
An apparent leader of the Iwa shinobi tried to call out to his comrades "aim for the Kazekage, if we get him we win this!" but his commands fell on deaf ears, tiny skirmishes were happening all around him, and no one could spare the concentration to listen. He sensed a presence behind him. He raised his arm to swing backwards but his wrist got grabbed.
"Good bye" the figure whispered before shoving a blue sphere of chakra into his back. Minato let the guy go and he got launched upwards, he dropped and never got back up. He took a second to look at the battle. Overall they where winning, and it looked like the Iwa ninja where on the verge of retreating. Rasa had truly turned the tides in this fight.
Speaking of it looked like one ninja was trying his luck sneaking up on Rasa. "Can't have that." Minato teleported to a kunai that he'd left beside Rasa. "Hey there you" the ninja started backing away "now, now don't worry, you're the lucky one here today, you want to know why? Because you're going to be the one that survives."
His landing was anything but graceful, things where dark, and the only light source was the few fits of light that poured through the many small holes in the ceiling of whatever this was. "Ow.." Naruto teared up, that had really hurt. "Dad" he called out but this time his only response was an echo in the silence. "Heeelllpp!' Still nothing.
'Being a shinobi was all about braving the unknown and marching forward' Naruto thought to himself as he got up and started looking around. He was in some old church, rows of old damaged pews lined the room he was in. Well the few that were completely covered by sand. "Ow!" Naruto slapped his leg, he had felt a pain. Looking at his hand he had killed a small scorpion.
Naruto gasped, somehow still sleeping in the corner, was a large giant scorpion, and under it were several scorpions. Breathing slowly, and stepping backwards even slower Naruto tried to make his way to a door at the other end of the room. He almost made it too, but just as he made it to the last row, Naruto grabbed a hold of some dead wood.
SNAP
He flinched violently, trying to shrink himself to as small as he could make himself. But it was hopeless, the sleeping scorpion raised it self up, looking around. Naruto's only saving grace was that it seemed to not be able to see well in the low light. But as it stood up to it's full height Naruto noticed it had fallen asleep on some stairs leading downwards.
He saw a way out of this though. Going through the door behind him would get him caught straight away. Naruto slowly sneaked to the back corner, picked up a loose piece of rubble and threw it as hard as he could at the opposite wall. It had the desired effect, the scorpion turned and started walking to see what the disturbance was.
As it moved down the central walk way, Naruto walked forward against the wall. He grinned, it was working. It took three minutes for Naruto to walk around the smaller scorpions, but he had to stop. There was a small wooden beam Naruto would have to move to go down these stairs, and he was confident he could do it, just no without being noticed.
Naruto took a deep breath before picking the beam up and throwing it away, the scorpion turned but Naruto was already dashing down the stairs. They lead to a hallway, which lead to a closed door. Had he been a little older, if he had even an ounce of training, if he wasn't running for his life and trying to ignore the sound of his heart in his ears, he might have been worried about the torches lined along a hallway lighting themselves, finally giving him proper sight.
With all the force a three year old could manage, Naruto barreled into the door. It was old, worn away by time, and only held together by time. He went through it easily, and on the other side was a large room about twenty feet in width. Naruto wouldn't know it but this was a private study. Bookshelves with old and withered books lined shelves along the walls. Along the far wall was an equally old banister on it was the symbol for Suna.
But what caught Naruto's eyes was the central desk, more specifically the what sat on it. It was a katan, but slightly shorter than normal, the blade was dull and black. Laid behind it was a navy blue sheathe. Something about the sword called to Naruto. The sound of the coming scorpion seemed like an echo in the back of Naruto's mind. His eyes were fully focused on this thing.
Before he realized what was happening, Naruto was in front of the desk, grasping the sword by it's hilt. Naruto had to shield his eyes from a light being produced by the blade, but again what he didn't notice was that part of the light was coming from him. From a seal on his stomach. It lasted only a few seconds, but he had to close his eyes completely as the light seemed to engulf the whole room.
Minato wiped some blood off his kunai, the battle was over and those still alive were split into three groups, one was repairing the numerous damages to the tower while Rasa held back the ongoing sand storm, another was gathering the many dead shinobi arranging them in groups of origin and the last was tending to those who were still alive but wounded.
Though only one Iwa shinobi survived. Bound, gagged and under guard Minato let out a small breath. "Hey Rasa, how are you feeling?"
Rasa's eyes were closed, but he smirked "now that the action is over, this is to easy. It should pass us in a little bit, what about you?"
"Some minor cuts and a bruise I'll definitely feel in the morning but I'm fine otherwise. So what do you think happened?"
"Well, my inner council knew I was coming to Konoha, and I shared in my suspicions that you were looking for an alliance. They also new about the letter I received from Iwa. Some were for an alliance with them over you. The only thing I can think of is that one or more of them decided to take things into their own hands. They alone were the only one who knew where we would be resting."
"Well that doesn't bode well, how about we ask our captive?" Minto walked over to the lone Iwa shinobi and removed his gag "hello there."
He spit in Minato's face and growled "fuck you! I'm not gonna tell you of all people anything, Yellow Flash of the Leaf!"
"I thought so. But you see there's something you should know, before you tried and failed to ambush us I had my son with me. Do you understand? You've seen me fight as a Hokage and warrior of the Leaf but" Minato got eye level with the guy "you've never seen me fight as a father. Do you have kids? Do you understand the lengths a father will go to protect his kids? That's not even counting the fact that the Kazekage had his daughter with him as well. Just imagine what he'll do to you."
The threat seemed to sink in, but the Iwa nin held his head high "go ahead and kill me then, but I'm still not telling you shit."
"Well I'm not going to kill you, that decision lies with the Kazekage. But I do here they have a poison master. Someone by the name of Sasori I think? Anyways this was fun, let's do it again." Minato put the gag back in, and the restoration of the tower was finished. "Well i better bring Rasa his daughter back. I hope those old toad's at haven't done anything eccentric and scared Garra."
Minato summoned a simple messenger toad "hey there Ganbaki, look I'm going to send you back and I need you to find Jiraiya. I'll give you ten minutes before I summon you again. Make sure he has the two kids with
him when i do okay?"
"hey Mina always good to see you, that won't be a problem, but what do you mean two kids?"
That caused a small pit to form in Minato's gut "well what do you mean, when Jiraiya reverse summoned himself to Mount Myoboku, he shu=ould have had my son and a little red haired girl."
"Oh he had the girl alright, but not your kid. Had some other guy. They didn't seem to be friends."
"Get Jiraiya now!"
"Okay, okay, no need to shout." Ganbaki teleported away and Minato started pacing back and forth counting the seconds.
"What's wrong Minato, you looked worried."
"My frogs say that Jiraiya went to the mountain with Garra and a strange man, not Naruto. I'm hoping he was mistaken."
"Well Naruto wasn't accounted for in the dead or injured so I'm sure everything is okay."
"I'm going to go check something out, I'll be right back." He had sensed one of his kunai outside , He had assumed it was one that got launched during the fight, but if Jiraiya didn't have Naruto, and he wasn't in the tower, then the only other answer was he left during the fight and was still lost in the sand storm. He teleported back to that kunai now.
He raised his arm to defend his face, the storm was still roaring outside, he couldn't see anything except for a metallic glint buried partially in the sand. It was one of his kunai, the one he had Naruto carry on him at all times. "NARUTO! CAN YOU HEAR ME? SAY SOMETHING!' Minato growled, teleporting back into the tower.
"Well?" Rasa asked.
"He's out there Rasa! My son is out there alone. I need your help. I need you to do that thing again but outside please!"
"Of course Minato, but give me a second I used a lot of chakra. I understand you want to find your kid, but the storm is almost over. We will have a much easier time finding him that way okay? Go get your sannin see what happened, by then I should be good to go."
Minato frowned but did as Rasa asked, he made the signs and resummoned Ganbaki, this time Jiraiya came with him along with Garra and a tied up Iwa nin. The first thing he did when he saw Minato was ask "hey is Naruto with you? I grabbed this man by mistake when I reverse summoned myself." The Hokage shook his head and pointed towards the entrance "Minato I am so sorry. We will find him okay?"
"I know, his kunai is out there, when Rasa is ready we're going. You, me and him."
While they were talking Garra ran over to her father who picked her up "Hey you, were you good for Jiraiya?"
"Yeah i was good for Jirai...Jira..for Jir Jir. There were lot's of frogs."
Rasa smiled "good, we're almost home now. You remember what we talked about?"
"You're going to make me a jinchuriki like Naruto."
"Yes I am." Rasa shot a look at Minato, who was still pacing "tell me what do you think of Naruto?"
"He's loud, and always running around. He's annoying but he says he's my friend. He's like Kanku."
"Oh he's like your older brother is that right? Well Kankuro is good right?"
""Kankuro is also annoying."
"Lord Kazekage! The storm is subsiding. It looks like it's safe to go out now."
"Okay, go patrol around the area, see if there are any more nast surprises waiting for us, Watanabi with me. We're going to help the Hokage find his son. Garra I'm going to leave you here and-"
Everyone stopped what they were doing as a mighty roar sounded throughout the air, and it was immediately followed by a sense of heavy dread and hate filling the air. "Minato this feels like..."
He was going to say it felt similar to the Ichibi but Minato finished the sentence for him "it feels exactly like the Kyuubi!"
When the light finally gave way Naruto gasped, the sword had shed it's bluntness, now it gleamed still black but the cutting edge, that was a navy blue color the same as the sheath. "Wow, it feels so light." Naruto looked around the room, when he first entered only one torch was lit, near the back but now the ones lining the walls were also lit.
He looked over the desk, much of the parchment here was too old to read but there was one letter that had barely legible writing "journal of Reto the first Kazekage. Here lies my inner san...san...sanctum where I have put together all of things I know about this desert land...Suna...what is this place?"
CRASH! SKITTER! SKITTER!
Naruto turned to the door way, the looming shadow of a giant scorpion pressed against the wall. 'Crap I forgot about that. Did it see the lights? Crap, crap, crap!" He was looking around wildly for another way out. but this room was a dead end. That scorpion was going to be here in less than a minute and Naruto had no where to run.
He took a deep breath "okay then I guess this is the only thing i can do." He widened his stance and held the sword out in front of him. He waited until it was right in front of the door way before running forward. He jabbed as hard as he could and to his credit, it met the scorpions chitin scales and went through it about an inch.
The beast reared back, swiping with its powerful claws, but Naruto held onto the sword so he was lifted off the ground, and the claws missed. He was air born for a few seconds before his sword slid out out of the scorpion and he fell. But the scorpion swung again, knocking Naruto backwards into the far wall. Naruto tried to get up, but his whole body was shaking, and he was starting to hyperventilate. But when put into a life or death situation, the body enters into a fight or flight response. Little did Naruto know, he was about to fight like a beast.
'Crap, am I going to die? I don't wanna die.'
"DAD!" But no answer came, the only thing that happened was the scorpion walked into the room and spotted Naruto. It was making it's way to him now.
'What can I do? Dammit my body it won't do anything. Come on Naruto just roll to the side, maybe you can get by it and run up the stairs.' Naruto paled as another shadow appeared in the hallway, another scorpion.
'Come on! Think Naruto think!Th..think...'
The scorpion was almost at Naruto, it's huge frame looming over him. In that instance Naruto's fear turned into somthing else. Maybe a last ditch effort maybe just a three year old who didn't know any better. But his fear settled and it gave way to anger. Naruto was pissed, this wasn't a cool way to die, running away from a fight only to be eaten by scorpions.
But in that anger a voice rose in the back of Naruto's mind, like everything else in the whole situation had Naruto thought about it for even a second he would have hesitated to answer.
"So kid is this how you want your story to end? Scared and alone?"
"NO!" He screamed
"Then accept my gift, I'll get you out of here."
"But how? What do I do?"
"I've already given it to you, all you have to do to accept it is use it.!"
Naruto felt a warmth bubbling out of him, coming from his stomach. This warmth was making it's way across his entire body, it felt powerful, and heavy at the same time. But it was making him feel so light, the sword he was holding felt lighter than a toothpick. Naruto grinned and stood up, orange energy forming around his body.
The change in the mood and the feeling in the air stopped the scorpion, its pincers clicking together faster.
"Alright you" Naruto said in a deep voice, his canines becoming sharper, his fingers extending to claws, and unknown to him, his eyes changing colors "time for some payback!"
Naruto gave into to his anger, leaping forward roaring as he did so, his claws easily punctured the scorpions back. He saw the stinging tail come up, his body seemed to move on it's own. With a swipe of his blade the tail came off cleanly. By this point the second scorpion had made it's way to the door. Naruto threw his sword and it embedded itself in that scorpions face, all the way to the hilt.
He jumped up to the ceiling, using it to push off of Naruto slammed into the ground with the intent of going through the scorpion. He could hear footsteps in the room above, and he was vaguely aware of someone shouting but he didn't care. This scorpion had to die. But it managed to step to the side, trying to see where the boy had went, so Naruto went through two of it's left side legs instead of its body.
It buckled to one side, and that's when Naruto truly blacked out, but his body continued, swiping furiously into the unprotected underbelly of the scorpion, tearing off chunks of flesh and muscle with every swipe. This went on for several minutes until he felt something grab his wrist. On instincts alone Naruto managed to throw a left hook but that two was grabbed.
Now he was looking into the stern face of his father. "Naruto it's okay, it's over now. I'm here." Minato brought Naruto into a hug, he was struggling but couldn't get out of his dad's iron grip. Eventually the demonic chakra went away, and Naruto was left crying into Minato's shoulder. "Shh it's okay naruto, dad's here now. Nothing else can hurt you."
While this was going on, Rasa was looking around. He went over to the desk and picked up the journal "Lord First? Wait it couldn't be.." Rasa went over to the dead second scorpion and examined the blade that was still stuck in it. "No way." He pulled the blade out and quickly walked over to the Hokage "Minato, I know you want to comfort your son but I need to ask him a question. It is of significant importance."
Minato was going to tell him to wait, but there was a look in Rasa's eyes that stopped him. They looked very serious. "Fine, hey buddy Rasa here has something he needs to ask you okay? After that we're going to leave and I'll make you some ramen that sound good?"
Naruto nodded and looked at Rasa "yes sir?"
"This sword did you use it?"
"Yeah, when I first got here something felt weird about it, but when I picked it up it gave off this very bright light and became super sharp and that part of the blade become dark blue."
"Oh my...okay thank you."
"Why Rasa, what is it?"
"I'll explain when we get back to Suna, but if it is what I think it is the council isn't going to be happy about this."
"Hey dad, I'm tired."
Minato picked Naruto up "that's okay son, go ahead and sleep. I promise when you wake up I'll be here."
Naruto's eyes started to get heavier and heavier, and he was struggling to keep the open "but I wanted...ramen...zzz."
His eyes opened, he was in some form of hallway, blank white paper lined either side. But strangely Naruto didn't feel scared. he felt like he belonged here. "Dad, where are you? You said you'd be here when I woke up."
"Over here son" he heard his father call out at the end of the hall "come on you have to see this."
Naruto made his way to a door, funny when had that go there. He opened it and gasped on the other end, lying down on massive paws was an equally massive fox with nine tails. Each tail had a shackle attached to, and attached to each other with heavy looking chains. The shackles themselves seemed to be attached to a wall behind the fox. It opened one massive eye and snorted "So the jailor finally meets his prisoner. Hello kid, you know me as the Kyuubi."
A fight, a new sword and naruto meets the Kyuubi for the first time, awesome! next chapter we see Garra become a jinchuriki and Minato hatches a plan! Please tell me what ya thought and what you would like to see or think you'll see in the future! But back tracking to my new adopted stories, I personally like the Naruto x Tayuya one, Step it Up!, if you can look past the plot holes and inconsistencies.
Anyways See everyone next week!
