So everyone, here's the deal, next chapter there's going to be a time skip to Naruto in his second year at the academy, These first three chapters have set a pretty good foundation, there's one more major change but that'll happen in the next chapter hope you all enjoy. Previous chapter review: Naruto had a chat with the Kyuubi, Gaara was made a jinchuriki, Minato and Rasa interrogated an Iwa ninja, and Root ninja tried to kidnap Gaara and Naruto, only for Naruto to talk to his zanpakuto and when the Kage's got there almost everyone was dead. Zanpakuto lore from Rassa reveals they were made by the first Kazekage, followed by plans to retaliate against Iwa.

Chapter 4 - A Deal Made

Two weeks after the failed assassination, Oonoki could be found in his office pouring over a never ending stream of reports. The Hidden Valley, Grass, and Waterfall villages had recalled ALL their shinobi, The fools in Claw and Fang country where putting more guards on the border, The Iron country Samurai had closed their borders. But the elephant in the room, the one thing Oonoki didn't expect was that Konoha and Suna had gathered a massive fighting force of over a thousand combined ninja, and where heading straight to the border.

"Lord Tsuchikage another report form our spies!"

Oonoki sighed "let's hear it then."

"It seems that Kiri has allied with Konoha and Suna, a large contingent of Kiri sword ninja where spotted heading into Fire Nation a week ago. They where seen heading into Konoha, and then heading towards us."

"Oh Kami what is that damned Yellow flash planning? Anything else?"

"A small contingent of Waterfall shinobi were seen joining Konoha's main force, putting their numbers over six hundred."

"How are we at getting the border ready?"

"Well sir we believe they're going through Fang country, so that's where we've put most of our forces. Sir if I may ask, our we preparing for war again?"

"I don't honestly know." It was at moments like these Oonoki thought about retiring. "Has Kumo gotten back to us?"

"No sir, they haven't responded to us at all."

"So we are only being reinforced by the hidden Star village and Hidden Haze village?"

"Yes Lord Tsuchikage, they sent us four hundred ninja combined."

"Alright, and have we received any words from our spies within Konoha?"

"That's the thing sir, all of our Leaf spies stopped reporting in after the Hokage left for Suna."

"You are dismissed."

"But Tsuchikage-"

"I said your dismissed!" Oonoki slammed his hands into the desk, and his assistant ran out. He didn't know what Minato was planning, but Iwa would not be intimidated by this. Even if his own forces where slightly out numbered. With the reinforcement's from Star and Haze the numbers were almost equal, but he knew, deep down in places he didn't talk about. He knew that the overall quality of ninja the Leaf had was better.

If they had chosen the border of Fang country to fight, they had chosen well. The area that lead into Earth Country was a small valley that lead into the many mountains. If he fought them there he could bottle neck them, but he'd take heavy losses in the first few days of sustained combat. If he could get his Explosion Corps into the enemy command center that would cause a certain amount of confusion.

There was a knock and his assistant hesitantly came in "sir the council has gathered, they want to speak with you."

"What do those fools want? Don't they know I'm busy in here?!"

"Yes sir they want to talk to you about the war effort."

"Fine, I'll be there in ten minutes."

"Tsuchikage sir, they're also discussing a vote of no confidence."

"WHAT?!"

Oonoki stormed into his council room with two ninja behind him "what is the meaning of this!"

One of his older council members stood up "ah Oonoki, thank you for joining us."

"Cut the crap, what is this about a vote of no confidence?"

"Well Oonoki-"

"It's Tsuchikage to you, remember where you stand."

The council member narrowed his eyes "your decisions as of late have been questionable."

"Questionable? Really? Who questioned me when I first came forward about the assassination plan? Who questioned me when I made a platoon of ninja to kill Iwa's most hated rival? Who wanted to stop me when I made plans to expand Iwa's control?"

"You failed Tsuchikage, and now we have Konoha and Suna as well as four more villages coming to our door step."

"Yes but if you would spend your time helping me win this battle, instead of questioning my abilities to lead this village, which I have done for the last fifty plus years, Iwa would come out stronger than before!"

Another council member stood up, a woman "And how do you purpose we do that? If we fight this war, do you realize the toll it would take on Iwa? We've barely recovered from the last war, this one will leave most of our resources depleted. Whose to stop Kiri, or Kumo from coming after us then?"

"That's why I need every strategic brain helping me plan this! Besides, we have an advantage they don't. We have two fully realized jinchuriki on our side! Theirs are mere children who haven't seen any real combat!"

"You really think you can convince the hermit to fight another war?"

"we can force him if we need to."

"Roshi made it very clear he was done with the violence."

The doors opened and a chunin ran in, he was sweating and pale. "Lord Tsuchikage it's an emergency!"

"What is it you fool? Can't you see I'm busy?"

"But Sir, the Hokage and Kazekage...they're at the village gate!"

"What!? Are they attacking?"

"Um..no Lord Tsuchikage!"

"then what in kami's name are they doing?"

"Making a small camp fire sir."

Standing (or rather sitting), proudly, and not giving any fucks was Minato and Rasa, casually enjoying tea over a fire they had made. One person had tried to make a move on them, and he had been swiftly knocked out and bound to a tree by rasa's golden sand. "You know Rasa, I much prefer the forest, but I kind of like the view around here."

"Well if your plans fail we may be invading here in the near future."

Minato glanced to the wall of the village, along the entirety of it, standing shoulder to shoulder were ninja, genin to jonin. It was easy to tell which was which by the amount shaking. Only the jonin and a few chunin knew what he was capable of. "Well our bluffs have played out, and I made sure it got reported back to the old man, now let's hope the old dog can learn a new trick or two huh."

Rasa chuckled "yeah, we can only hope. In the meantime you must tell me where you acquired these tea leaves, the taste is divine."

Minato stood up, there was a commotion coming from the other side of the village gate. "Look sharp Rasa, I think we have some company."

The gate opened and a swarm of ninja ran forward, about fifty, and formed a circle around the two Kage. The end nearest to the village parted ways, and Oonoki floated forward, taking a spot on by the fire. Minato smiled and held out a cup "tea Tsuchikage?"

His eyes narrowed, but he had a soft spot for Konoha's tea, he slowly accepted the cup, took a sip and asked the obvious question "what the hell are you doing here Minato?"

Instead of answering him Minato looked around, all ninja present, around them or on the wall was ready to attack. "Why all the hostility Tsuchikage, we only came here to talk. Seriously though you know this little show of force is useless right?"

" You talk while your army moves closer to our borders, or did you think we'd miss a thousand man exodus heading straight for us?"

"Oh that was just to show how serious I am. We have some demands."

Oonoki chortled at that "demands? What makes you think you can make demands of me boy?"

"Oh hold on, there's someone missing from this little chat, give me a moment?"

There was a flash of light and Minato disappeared. He was gone for several minutes, and a heavy silence fell over the area. Rasa broke it "he's using that technique of his to get to the border. He should be back in say five minutes? Maybe ten?"

"Oh yeah Kazekage, and what's to say I don't kill you in those ten minutes? You are here without an invite after all."

"Well it's simple Tsuchikage, we came here to talk, but if you attack me it will be war. And I'm confident I can stall you long enough for Minato to get back here. How many of your more experienced men do you think will attack him? Not many based on the amount of shaking and fear I see in your ranks"

Oonoki narrowed his eyes and swung his arms open wide, "That's not fear. That's anticipation for battle."

"Call it what you will, all Minato will have to do is hold out his special kunai and all of your jonin will be rooted in their place."

"So you two are on first name basis huh? Tell me then, why did you choose them over us? I sent you a request for aid, we could have split Konoha up for the betterment of our nations."

"It's simple, your seal master has nothing on theirs."

"What did you lose faith in your own seal master? Sealing the one tails is a relatively simple task, especially when you already had it sealed in a pot."

Rasa knelt down and poured himself another cup of tea. "The sealing of the Ichibi was never the problem, it was the side effects of the sealing I wanted prevented."

"Oh you didn't want the Ichibi driving your daughter insane? Pathetic, really. If you were going to turn little Gaara into a weapon you should treat her as one. How is she by the way? I heard she had a terrible fright on your way back to Suna."

Rasa's eyes narrowed dangerously, golden sand started pooling around his feet. "You leave my daughters name out of your mouth."

"take care Kazekage, my men may have there doubts about the Hokage, but no one will hesitate to attack you."

"You think I can't kill you in the time it takes for one of your men to even take a step."

Oonoki grinned and started floating "I'm saying I'd like to see you try Kazekage, I may be old but I'm still the Tsuchikage." His men, sensing a shift in the conversation and tone, took a step forward, making the circle even smaller. Rasa's hand twitch, he was about to make a tsunami of sand when Minato flashed in the middle.

"Now, now everyone, let's not get excited. Here Oonoki I think this one belongs to you. " Minato let a body drop, it was his Iwa nin Tabe, he appeared to be crying.

Oonoki smiled "Ah Tabe thank you for bringing him to me, he went missing some time ago you see, me and my council were just discussing making him a missing nin."

"Cut the crap old man, go on Tabe talk."

"I'm sorry Lord Tsuchikage, I... I..." He couldn't finish, he was crying to hard.

Rasa decided to finish for him "He told us everything Tsuchikage, though don't be to hard on him, with how many drugs we had him on he thought he was giving an after action report to you."

Minato took a step towards Oonoki, leaning down to get in his face "coming after me is fine, trying to assassinate the Kazekage is fine, but you put our children in harms way. So either listen to our demands, or our men cross our border and they don't stop until they're standing right here, outside your village."

Oonoki smirked "Please Namikaze, you may be a strong fighter, but you abhor war. You would do anything to avoid one, let alone start one yourself!"

Minato puffed his chest out "then I'll tell you the same thing I told your man here. I'm not here as The Hokage of Konoha, I've come here as a father, who would do anything to protect his child. So long as you hate me, you'll always be a threat to my child."

The Hokage took a step back as masked Iwa shinobi appeared on either side of Oonoki, grabbing each arm. "Hey what.. what are you doing, hey let go of me!" They disappeared, and the Iwa shinobi surrounding them parted ways, a man younger than Oonoki stepped into the circle. "Sorry about him, My name is Banta, as of now I'll be dealing with this situation."

Minato looked back at Rasa with a raised eyebrow. "Okay Benta, what just happened?"

"The council was in the middle of a vote of no confidence when you came here. That was the vote being cast, I think you can see what the results are. I was the second highest rank person there. I heard you have some demands? Do you mind if I take a seat?" Benta sat down and graciously accepted a cup of tea offered by Rasa.

"I'm sorry, do you mean to say Oonoki isn't your Tsuchikage?"

"As of four minutes ago, I will be acting as a proxy until a new Tsuchikage can be decided. Now I'm aware of what he did, and why you're upset. But war?" Benta chuckled nervously "No one want's that. But please, if we're going to negotiate here I feel like we could do it a little more comfortable." Benta raised his hand like a fist, some ninja came rushing forward, placing a broken down pavilion on the ground, another group brought out comfortable looking chairs. "No offence to the Leaf, but I'd feel better on a chair instead of deadwood."

Rasa looked at Minato, the Hokage nodded "That's acceptable." Not even ten minutes later the pavilion was set up, Benta was on one side and the other Two kage opposite of him. Someone else had joined Benta, an older shinobi with red hair and a red goatee. "Okay so what are your demands?"

Minato pulled out a scroll "first thing, we want Iwa to keep their missions in country for a period of four months."

Benta nodded "that will put to big a dent in Iwa's banks. Can I convince you to go down to two months, but allowing us to continue our missions in Fang and Claw country? They are our biggest source of out sourcing jobs?"

Rasa nodded "That's fine, but before we start signing off on things listen to the rest. Secondly we want a peak at your Forbidden scroll."

"You want access to Iwa's most secret techniques? I would need the council to agree to that, though I think I could make that happen, you don't have many fans in Iwa, Lord Hokage."

Minato shrugged "If it makes them feel better, we won't be writing anything down, just what we can memorize. The Third thing is for Suna, Iwa doesn't have much access to lumber, but you will be giving them a percentage that you two can agree on at a later date." Benta didn't respond to that, but just nodded.

Rasa smirked "Lastly, Iwa is going to pay a stipend to both Konoha AND Suna, say two hundred thousand yen total."

At that Benta objected "Iwa cannot pay that! We barely make enough as is to make repairs from the war."

Minato stood up to stretch is arms "well Benta, Iwa has three options right now. Agree to these terms or go to war."

Benta sat back and grimaced "and what is this third option?"

Rasa pushed a scroll across the table to Benta "simple, it's two things really. You're going to sign this non aggression treaty that says you'll play nice, and Suna wants him." Rasa pointed to Benta's companion who had been quiet this whole time "He is the Yonbi Jinchuriki, Roshi of the Lava style, is he not?"

"You expect me to be able to convince Iwa to hand over one it's most powerful weapons?" While Rasa and Benta were talking, Minato made sure to keep an eye on Roshi, when Rasa made his request the old shinobi didn't even flinch.

This time it was Rasa's turn to shrug "well either of your jinchuriki really, Roshi happened to be the one here at the moment."

"This...this is preposterous! How do you think I can accept these terms?!"

Minato leaned in and said "the only terms you have are the first agreement, this or war. So what would you like, to watch Iwa crumble into poverty, watch a thousand men die, or just lose one ninja?"

Benta was about to answer when Roshi cut in "agree to their terms Benta, it's the only way they don't do irreparable damage to Iwa, besides I've always wanted to travel."

"But Roshi, Iwa needs you."

"You know I'm retired now. Besides you have Hans and he's still in his prime, of the two of us I'm the better option."

Benta sighed, but before he agreed there was something bugging him. "What about Konoha? This whole deal seems to be only benefiting Suna."

"Konoha is doing fine. This is for Suna's benefit. Do we have a deal?"

Benta slouched down into his seat "I can't wait until I'm not in charge of this anymore" He took a pen and signed the nonaggression treaty.

As he did so Roshi started speaking "let's get some things straight from the start Kazekage, out of respect for my home, I won't be giving you any of Iwa's secrets, I'm retired so I won't be doing any missions, and if you try to take my Biju, I will fight you."

Rasa nodded "that's fair, my council was against the idea of me bringing a probable spy back to the village, so you weren't going out on missions to begin with. You'll be under watch for a little bit, and the only thing I ask is that as ninja with as much experience as you teach some of the kids in my academy. Otherwise you're to protect Sunagakure itself."

"Those terms are agreeable Lord Kazekage, though I never thought of myself as much of a teacher, I'll try my best."

Minato pulled a bottle of sake out of a seal and placed it on the table "well we're making history right here gentlemen. The first talks between our three nations without a war going on." He poured out four cups and passed them around, but Roshi pushed his into the middle of the table.

"Sorry Hokage, I don't drink, most booze doesn't do much to me anyways."

"That's fine, here's to a better tomorrow!."

A day later, Minato was walking with Rasa down a dusty road as the men where heading back to their respective villages. "Well that went well."

Rasa chuckled "yes, your bluff with the Kiri nin was excellent. But if Kiri didn't send you any ninja, who did Iwa's spies see?"

"Oh just a bunch of clones hinged as Kiri ninja."

"How do you know the Mizukage won't be upset over this?"

Minato frowned "the last reports I had on Kiri they were gearing up for a civil war. I figured they'd be too busy to deal with this."

"A civil war? What happened?"

"I don't know, the Mizukage, Yagura, he changed. He became a tyrant and said anyone with a bloodline ability was impure, and seeks to purge his lands or something like that."

"That just seems ridiculous."

"Yes it is, but we don't have any power over there. But I did get you another jinchuriki."

"That you did."

"So about our deal, our other arrangement?"

"You pulled through on your end Minato, so I'll keep up my end of the deal."

The Hokage turned to face Rasa and held out his hands "Well then, I'd say things turned out for the better, I'm going to split off and return to my men."

Rasa shook his hand "god speed to you then."

It wouldn't be for another week that Minato and the other Leaf shinobi would see the gates of their home. But when it came within sight they let out a mighty roar. The Hokage addressed his men "Alright everyone where almost home, go rest and relax. You deserved it." but when they got to the gates Ibiki was there waiting for him, and Minato did not like the look on his face. "What is it Ibiki, being my proxy for three weeks too much?"

"You said it sir, there are two shinobi from Kiri in your office. They got here about three days ago" Ibiki leaned in close and whispered "they said they want the Leaf's assistance in assassinating the Mizukage. That's way above my pay grade so I told them they'd have to wait for you to get back, and they did."

Minato whistled "well that's an unusual request. How's Naruto? Did he get home safe?"

"Yes sir, he had a sword with him?"

"Yeah, it's a gift from our friends in Suna. Now let's go see what these Kiri people are about, is Jiraiya still in the village?"

"Yes sir, and I think you should know something very important, I was in the middle of that rat hunt you asked me to do, and I got your report about the failed attack in Suna, when I went to go detain Danzo, his house was burned down. He's not been seen since. I presume he's on the run."

"Dammit, what of his root shinobi?"

"I did a thorough search of our ranks, about forty ninja, chunin to anbu have disappeared, as well as a few medical shinobi, and engineers."

"Fine, do another search for any spies he might have told to leave behind. In the mean time, have someone find Jiraiya and send him to my office, tell them to check around the hot springs."

"Yes Lord Fourth, oh and welcome home. Should I send someone to tell your son?"

"No, I'll see him later, that will be all."

Ten minutes later Minato and Jiraiya where in their office with a busty ginger and a tall muscled man with a ridiculously large sword on his back. "So your Mei Terumi otherwise known as the boiling mist, and you must be Zabuza Momoichi, one of the Seven Deadly Swordsmen of the Bloody Mist."

"And your Minato Namikaze, the Yellow Flash of the Hidden Leaf. Am I supposed to be surprised you've done your research?" Zabuza asked.

Minato didn't respond to Zabuza's remark instead looking at Mei "so care to tell me what one of the Mizukage's main advisors and one of his top soldiers are doing here, asking me to help assassinate him?"

Mei leaned back "what have you heard in regards to Kiri lately?"

"Only that Yagura has fallen off the deep end, that his campaign against those with unique blood lines is about to turn bloody. That a civil war is brewing in the distance."

Mei dropped a file on Minato's desk "well the brewing is done, Yagura gave orders to his men to execute anyone with a bloodline limit. Right now people are running for cover but soon enough they'll come out of hiding and we WILL have a civil war."

"And what, you want Konoha to step in, fight your battle?"

"I think I want Konoha to return the favor." Mei sat back and crossed her arms.

Minato raised an eyebrow "oh and what favor will I be returning then?"

"Well as I hear it, Kiri sent you a full platoon of swordsmen to aid you in a fight against Iwa, that you thankfully managed to avoid."

Minato chuckled "oh that, well I'd like to think it was the thought of three countries ganging up on Iwa that made them think long and hard before doing anything stupid."

"Well thankfully I was the one who intercepted that report before it reached Yagura. Lord Hokage I am begging you, Kiri needs your help now more than ever."

Minato leaned back, clasping his hands together "what is it you think I can do? I'm probably going to get an earful from my council about the stunt I pulled with Iwa. I don't think they'll be to inclined to help Kiri out after that."

"I'm not asking for soldiers, hell I'm not asking you to fight Kiri. All I'm asking is that you lend me an Uchiha, I hear rumor that their sharingan can even possess a Biju. A jinchuriki shouldn't be a problem."

Minato thought for a second, before writing something down on a piece of paper, he called in an anbu and said "find this shinobi, bring him to my office immediately. There is one ninja who might be able to help, it's said his sharingan ability to cast genjutsu is more powerful than normal."

It was only moments later that a man walked through, he was maybe in his early twenties, with the black hair and a friendly face. "Mei Terumi, this is Shisui Uchiha, Shisui this is Mei Terumi and Zabuza Momoichi." Minato quickly filled Shisui in on what was going on "now I want to specify you'll be going by yourself, if your caught or killed Konoha can't help you, and you will be labeled a missing ninja if you fail. But only if you want to go."

"Well Lord Hokage what does Konoha gain out of this?"

Minato looked to Mei, turning to her for an answer "well I'm sure Kiri can come to an agreement after a new Mizukage has been elected.'

"Oh yes, any idea who that might be?"

"Well I would be a strong contender, a few of Yagura's advisors, hell even Zabuza here could throw his hat into the ring, but ultimately it's up to the Water Daimyo, though I believe he has a good candidate in mind."

Zabuza let out a snort "to hell with that, I'm not one for politics. Just let me be the muscle, I'm fine with that."

"Well Shisui, what do you think, at the end of the day you're the one being asked to risk something here."

"Well Lord Hokage, I'd like to help Kiri, but what are you going to say to Fugaku? He won't take you sending an Uchiha off on an unknown mission well."

"You let me worry about Fugaku, you just get the mission done, and get home safely."

"Dad you're home!" Naruto ran into Minato's arms the moment he opened the door.

"Hey there sport, did you behave for Inu while I was gone?"

"Yeah! He let me have a sleep over with Pakky and his friends?"

Minato let out a laugh "Pakky huh? Well I hear he's a great sleeping companion and I-"

*KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK*

There was a loud baning coming from Minato's door, and the Hokage got a bad feeling, he could sense a small amount of killing intent being leaked. He made a motion with his hand, chopping it at an angle, his personal guards appeared in the hallway, ready for action. "I'm coming, who is it, oh, hello Fugaku." The head Uchiha was standing their, rage evident by his stance. "I assume you're upset about something?"

"What is this about Shisui Uchiha being sent on a covert mission?"

"Well Fugaku, the fact you know about it is already a breach in the chain of command. It's called covert for a reason, the people who need to know already know."

"And you think I don't deserve to know what's going on with my own Clan?"

"All you need to know is that the mission required a talented genjutsu artist, and Shisui came highly recommended." Fugaku took one step towards Minato and that was all the reason his guards needed to surround him. "Sorry about them, ever since my trip to Suna, they've been a little edgy. I'll save you some embarrassment, Shisui maybe be an Uchiha, but he's still my ninja. You can leave now Fugaku. Good bye." Minato didn't wait to hear a response, he just shut his door in Fugaku's face.

Some time later with Shisui in Kiri

The young ninja had never really strayed too far from Konoha before mostly keeping to the Uchiha Police Force. He had to admit, even with an ever present mist, barely perceptible at the moment, the place had it's own beauty. Solid ground was mostly dwarfed by the many mires, bogs, rivers and lakes the persisted through the area. But that in and of itself presented one of the biggest differences between Konoha and Kiri, the air smelled and tasted different.

"You know, it's been a long standing dream of mine to visiting all five great nations. I'm glad to check this one off my list."

Mei smiled "Well just wait until morning when this mist turns into a fog. Sometimes it gets so dense you can only see the first three or so feet in front of you."

"Woah really? If you're allowed to tell me, how do you train your ninja to combat this?"

Mei glanced over her back to look at Zabuza, always the ever watchful ninja. "This may sound strange to an Uchiha, but sight isn't everything. We train the bodies other senses, mostly focusing on sound. After all, it's hard to be silent when you can't account for what's in the environment. Zabuza?"

Zabuza was still looking around but decided to play along "stepping on a branch, splashing a puddle, running into a bush. A genin is expected to be able to keep track of his opponent, a chunin able to predict where his opponent might go and a fully trained jonin is expected to be able to fight at one hundred percent. Hidden in the mist, a lot of opportunities arise for a quick kill"

"I'm sorry, but are you expecting trouble Zabuza?"

"Well there are two factions in Kiri at the moment, those that support Yagura, known as the purists and those that oppose him, referred to as the resistance. Mei is one of Yagura's main advisors and I am one of his top shinobi. Some on the purist side doubt our loyalty, as they should and I wouldn't put it past the resistance to try and ambush us to strike a blow against Yagura."

Shisui looked around, but as far as he was aware they were alone at the moment. "Does no one know your true intentions?"

"The other six swordsmen do, this assassination was originally our idea. We brought Mei along because she could provide us a window to try. Somethings not right you know? One day Yagura is an ideal Mizukage, striving for a better, stronger Kiri and then the next day this. I want answers. I'm going ahead Mei, to get set up."

"Set up?" Shisui asked.

Mei sighed "Yagura has his doubts about me, so in preparation for this moment, Zabuza and I have been letting ourselves be seen at a spot about half a mile from here. Zabuza is going to spread a rumor that we're going to be meeting with someone powerful. As I have direct access to Yagura, he'll want to investigate himself. That's when you'll do your thing and hopefully we can put an end to this nightmare."

"Okay but what's the actual plan for when Yagura gets here?"

"Oh simple, you're job is to put him in a genjutsu long enough for Zabuza or myself to kill him. At least I hope it's that simple."

Mei lead Shisui to a small spot in the woods, honestly to the Leaf nin, it didn't look any different from where they had just come from. "So what makes this spot so valuable?"

"It's far enough from the man road to look suspicious, but close enough to two different lakes and bogs to make a fast retreat. But that's what we want Yagura to see, there are a dozen more places just like this one, so really nothing."

Zabuza jumped into the area and walked over to them "the Mizukage is on his way, how do we want to play this part?"

"Just let me do the talking, and Shisui whatever I say go along with okay? Depending on his mood I'll decide the best course."

Shisui perched himself against a tree, mostly to calm his own nerves. He was about to face of against a Kage who happened to be a fully realized jinchuriki. which meant at any time he could bring out his Biju. Who wouldn't be nervous? He knew his genjutsu prowess was considered stronger than most, even by Uchiha standards, but this was a freaking Biju! Mei smiled, Shisui may have been a Jonin, but reading his face was like an open book. She had misgivings about this too, but Yagura had to be stopped. A heavy presence filled the air, Mei cleared her throat to get everyone's attention, Yagura was about to be here.

No sooner had she thought that then the blonde Kage jumped into the area they where in, Mei straightened her shoulders "Hello Lord Mizukage, we've been expecting you." She gave a crisp bow.

"Mei, Zabuza explain yourselves, words reached me that you two were meeting a powerful shinobi." His eyes quickly fell on the blacked haired youth. Shisui for his part was surprised by how young Yagura looked. He looked barely old enough to start growing facial hair. Zabuza grabbed Shisui by his shoulder and pushed him away from the tree.

"Lord Mizukage, this is Shisui Uchiha."

"Uchiha, as in from the Leaf?" Yagura narrowed his eyes, trying to get a feel for the Leaf nin.

"Yes Lord Mizukage" Mei stepped forward and smiled, "We found Shisui near the border you see, he's rather bored with Konoha's peace time mindset, he plans to defect."

"Defect? I've not heard anything of an Uchiha defecting from Konoha!"

"Well that's because my family would never allow that news to be made public, they'd want to hunt me down themselves. But they have no idea I'm here in Kiri."

Yagura wasn't buying this act, he walked slowly around Shisui "of all places why Kiri? I'm sure you've heard about my crusade, against those filthy blood line users. The Uchiha is famous for their sharingan. Why would I not just kill you now?"

"Because then you'd be a fool Lord Mizukage?"

"You're calling me a fool now?"

"Of course, there's a reason the Uchiha became so famous and well known. Now one comes to your doorstep and asks for safe haven, to turn me away would truly be foolish. Would you care for an example of my strength?"

Yagura smirked this was more like the Uchiha he had heard about "Fine then by all means."

"As you may know our Sharingan come in levels, based on the amount of tomoes" Shisui activated his sharingan, the three tomoes spinning hypnotically, "what you may not know is that after level three there's another form" His tomoes seemed to meld together, forming a four point pinwheel "this is the Mangekyo Sharingan. Each one has an ability unique to the wielder."

Yagura looked deep into Shisui's eyes, he couldn't help it. And that was when Shisui struck, Yagura seized up, dropping his staff. But Shisui knew that wouldn't be the end of it, he looked just as deep into Yagura's eyes. So long as his Biju was able, it could disrupt whatever genjutsu Shisui could cast. So he looked just as deep into Yagura's eyes, looking into his soul and his mind.

The scenery around him changed, he was standing on a cliff overlooking an endless ocean. There was a sun permanently setting in the distance. "Human." SHisui looked over to the voice and saw the Three tailed Demonic Turtle, it's heading just peaking out of the water.

"There you-, who...who are you?"

Out in the real world, Shisui fell to one knee, coughing up some blood, as well as bleeding out of his eyes "Whatever you're going to do, do it now, I won't be able to hold this for much longer!"

A shadowy form fell over Yagura, Zabuza was there, using ever muscle he had ever trained into one power swing, his sword met with the Mizukage's neck, and in one swift motion, it was off. Rolling off passed the tree line. The now decapitated body fell to the ground and Shisui allowed himself to collapse. Mei quickly rushed over, helping him to his feet.

Zabuza kicked Yagura's body "so it's done, just like that?"

"What...what now Mei?"

"Well the other six swordsmen should have taken care of his body guards, so we're the only ones who know what's happened here today. They'll take care of the body, and in about a week after Yagura has been gone I'll call for a vote for a new Mizukage. You are going to rest until you're good enough to return home."

Shisui smiled "Simple really." But on the inside he was in turmoil, for he had seen something in the Sanbi's eyes. He had seen another Sharingan, someone else had put him in a genjutsu, and probably been the reason for his sudden change in attitude. But also, standing above him, was a shadowy figure with a lone sharingan eye.

Mei walked over to Yagura's head and picked up the Mizukage hat, "Zabuza come over here for a minute."

"What is it Mei, the sooner we get rid of this body the better." Mei handed the hat over to Zabuza "try this on for a second?"

"What the hell for?" Despite his question Zabuza did as he was told "It's a little small, then again Yagura was a pipsqueak."

Mei bit her lip "We'll have to order one a little bigger?"

"What the fuck? Why?"

"Isn't it obvious Zabuza, the Water Daimyo already decided you were the next Mizukage?"

Zabuza was stunned speechless, for all of two seconds "oh hell no, the plan was always for you to take over."

Mei shook her head "I'm a woman trying to work in a mans world Zabuza, the people of Kiri will accept you much faster than me, besides you only have to do it for a few months then pass the title over to me okay?"

"Fuck that, I'd rather cut a politicians head off than deal with them seriously Mei..Mei.. where the hell are you going woman!"

Mei smirked as she started walking away "see you back at the village...Lord Mizukage."

DUN, DUN, DUNNNNNNN! Plot twist, and a never before seen Mizukage huh. I like that, plus I think it'll be a ton of fun sometime in the future. Anyways, Suna's got a new jinchuriki, they have a deal with the Leaf and Danzo's on the run and things are shaping up rather nicely. I'll talk to you all next time and as always, see you next week!
