Attacked-Ch 47

A few minutes later everybody followed the bride and groom as they walked back up the aisle and headed toward the reception tent and when they stepped inside the music started and once again the air was filled with the sounds of hands clapping and people shouting their congratulations to the happy couple

Derek pulled his wife into his arms and kissed her lips passionately causing the everybody to "awwwwwwww and yessssssssss" causing the newlyweds to laugh as they pulled apart. Fran stepped forward and said, "this day has been a long time coming and first and foremost the newlyweds it's time for your first dance as a married couple"

Derek looked al his bride and smiled, he then wrapped his arms around her waist and said "can I have this dance Mrs. Morgan?, she kissed his lips gently and said, "this and any other dance you want Mr. Morgan". He intertwined fingers with her and led her to the center of the dance floor and pulled her close to him and kissed her lips gently as they waited for the music to start

As the music to At Last by Etta James started playing she looked up at Derek and said, "how did you know that this is one of my favorite oldies but goodies"?, he kissed her on the end of the nose and said, "you told me once or twice". She giggled and said, "and you remembered that"?, he said, "I remember everything you tell me sweetness", she then wrapped her arms tighter around him and said, "I love you", he said, "and I love you" as they held each other close and danced their way across the floor".

Their family and friends watched for a few seconds and then couple by couple the dance floor started filling up and then soon everybody was up there dancing with the newlyweds. Fran glanced over her shoulder and smiled at her son as she saw just how much in love he truly was, he was so in love that he was practically glowing with happiness.

Dave said, "they look good together don't they Bella"?, she sighed and nodded her head yes and said, "that they do my love, that they do" as the enjoyed the rest of the dance wrapped in each others arms. As the dance ended Derek once again intertwined fingers with his wife and they listened as Fran said, "before we dig in to this yummy food how about we have the bride and groom cut their cake"?, everybody clapped their hands and smiled as Derek led her over to the two tier cake.

He picked up the knife and put it into the cake, she put her hand on his and then smiled at each other as they pushed the knife down through the bottom layer of cake and picked up a piece and put it into a saucer. They then each picked up a bite and slowly fed each other a bite, they shared a kiss and then smashed the rest of the piece in each others faces, causing everybody to laugh and snap picture after picture of the laughing couple

Derek grinned as they wiped cake off of each others faces and then shared a tender, loving kiss before grabbing a plate and then filling it with delicious food and heading over to the bridal parties table to sit down. A few minutes later everybody was laughing and eating as they enjoyed their time together as one big happy family

Over the next several hours Derek and Penelope laughed, ate, danced and talked to their guests, Penelope and derek spent quite a while laughing and talking to Grace and Amelia as the reception continued. Derek wrapped his arm around his wife's waist and thanked both doctors over and over for everything they did to help his baby girl, both women told Derek that they were welcome and congratulated them again on their marriage before heading out.

Derek danced with his mom, sisters, JJ and Emily before making his way back to his beautiful bride, Penelope danced with Dave, Reid, Hotch, Jack and Henry before happily making her way back to her loving husband. The reception continued on for another couple of hours until Derek leaned in and whispered, "we better we heading out sweetness", she nodded her head and then they said their goodbyes and started running toward their car

Derek and Penelope were laughing as their family chased after them tossing birdseed, as they climbed into their car they turned around and waved at their family who stood there waving back at them as they pulled away from the curb. They kept waving until the car disappeared out of sight, they then turned around and headed back to the tent to start the cleanup process as Derek and Penelope headed out for their honeymoon.
