Jason took Piper on a tour around New Rome. Frank and Hazel went back to their barracks to pack their things for the long trip. Reyna and her officers went to alert the senate to the meeting that would be taking place in an hour.

That left Percy and Zoë alone. Percy turned to her. "So what's with this?" He asked, tapping on her silver mask. "Very 'Phantom of the Opera'."

"The campers at Camp half-blood kept staring at me. So I hid what they were staring at."

Percy reached up and took the mask off, revealing her corpse-like face. He smiled at her and placed the mask on the table. "No one to hide from right now."

She smiled. She stood up and sat in his lap. She leaned her back into his chest. He wrapped his arms around her waist and rested his chin on her shoulder.

"This is nice." He commented. "We don't get this often, don't we?"

"We've gotten it more often in the last few days." She said.

"True. And we'll get it till we rescue Rory."

"I think we should just leave now. Forget the senate."

"I would love to, but rules are rules."

"Since when have you cared about rules?"

"Since we started enforcing rules on–" he was cut off by the sound of a shrill sound followed by an explosion. Light flashed behind them. They turned to see a mushroom cloud like a mini nuke had been set off.

Percy let out a breath of frustration. "Goddamnit." He muttered. He turned to Zoë. "Well, the peace was nice while it lasted."

Romans were rushing around, gathering weapons and armor. A crowd noticed that Percy and Zoë were just sitting there and surrounded them. They pointed swords at them. Percy rolled his eyes at them.

"What's going on?!" Reyna yelled.

"I'll tell you what's going on!" A voice came from the direction of the Argo II. Octavian. "Leo has his weapons trained on the city. The Greeks have fired on New Rome! I saw it with my own eyes."

Catapults fired at the Argo II. The Argo returned fire, destroying the catapults. Percy sighed. He turned to Zoë. "Go deal with Leo. I'll get everyone to the ship, then we'll leave, senate be damned."

She nodded and got off of his lap. A roman swung a sword at her. It hit her skin like it was a rock. No cut on her. She looked unimpressed before flying off towards the Argo. Percy looked at the Romans.

"Look, you can't hurt me, but I can hurt you. So let's make it easy. You let me go, I won't rescue the Seven, then when I find out what happened, I'll relay it to you."

"Like we'll let a traitor go!" Octavian said.

Percy stood up. The Romans weren't sure, but he seemed taller than he was before.. "Let's get one thing straight, augur. I didn't betray Rome, because I'm not loyal to Rome. My loyalty lies to me, and my family. It doesn't lie with you. It doesn't lie with Greece. I'm here to save my daughter, and that's it. But if you want me to, I'll burn down the Twelfth Legion, and wipe your names off the history books. Don't tempt me."

The sound of fighting drew his attention away from the blond kid who was shitting his pants. He waved a hand at the wall of Romans. They all fell to their knees. Their weapons felt really heavy, keeping their sword arms pinned to the ground. Reyna took a moment to kneel, mostly because he didn't force his will on her. Just the effect of the others made her kneel.

He walked out of the forum, wings covered in shadows. They looked dark as night, before he entered the sunlight and his wings were white again.

He found Hazel and Frank first. "Percy. What the hell is going on?!" Hazel asked.

"They're firing on us. We shouldn't have trusted them. And we shouldn't have trusted you." Frank said, aiming the last statement at Percy.

"Obviously, you're going through something traumatic, so I'm going to ignore that. Right now, we need to get you onto the ship. So come on." Percy held out his hands.

"I'll do it myself." Frank said. He transformed into a hawk and flew towards the Ago II, which had stopped firing on the city. Looks like Zoë dealt with Leo.

"What's his deal?" Hazel asked.

"He's just mad at me. He'll get over it. Or die, whichever comes first." He held out a hand for her. She took it. He flew her up to the Argo II. Zoë was there, as was Frank. Leo was knocked out, leaning against the ballista.

"I still have to get Jason and Piper. Do you know how to get the ship moving?" Percy asked Zoë.

She nodded.

"Alright, when I get up here with them, I need you to get us out of here."

She nodded again.

Percy turned around and jumped over the side of the Argo II. He glided as he scanned the ground for Jason and Piper. He found them, surrounded by Romans. Jason was trying to shield Piper.

Percy flew down. Just as he reached them, a brick sailed through the air and nailed Jason right above the eye. He filed that away for later. He'd tell Jason that he wasn't a dick. Just in case he thought that.

"Come on." He picked up Jason and slung him over his shoulder. He felt a sword stab him in the back. Or, try to. It was regular Imperial Gold, so it didn't do anything besides poke him.

He picked up Piper as well, and took off with a mighty beat of his wings. Stones slung from catapults sailed towards him, but he easily evaded them. He landed on the deck of the Argo II once again. Zoë entered a command on the computer, grabbed a WII remote and circled it around with her wrist.

The boat started to turn. It did a full one eighty, before it started to sail through the air. Catapults continued to fire at them, but Percy threw fireballs at the stones, forcing them to fall back down to the ground.

He hoped that no one was crushed by them, but honestly? At this point he no longer cared. He continued to fend off the attacks until they were out of range.

He turned towards Leo. He tapped the latino's forehead. Leo instantly awoke. He jumped up, only to see the glares of Piper, Hazel, and Frank. Percy was next to him, towering over him.

"What happened?" Percy asked.

"What do you mean?" Leo asked.

"You fired on Camp Jupiter. Obviously, you aren't stupid enough to do that. So what happened?" Percy's voice wasn't accusatory. It was firm, like he wasn't going to drop the subject, but there was a sense of understanding. Like he knew it wasn't Leo's fault, but didn't know what exactly caused it.

"It's.. it's weird. It was like I was watching myself do things. But in third person. An out of body experience."

Percy looked off to the side. "Do you remember feeling anything before it?"

"Cold. Very cold." He answered slowly.

Percy nodded. "You were possessed. By an Eidolon."

"A what?"

"A ghost. Or more accurately, a demon. The little buggers have no physical form, so they possess others to do their bidding, or others. Usually their possession kicks out your astral form, which creates an out of body experience."

"Are you saying that Leo isn't at fault?" Frank asked.

"That's exactly what I'm saying. This is the work of a demon. Which means that Zoë and I are going to have to put up some sigels."

She nodded. "Blood?"

"Blood."

She drew one of her knives. The ones she got so long ago, the ones forged of demonic steel. She cut her palm. She walked over to Percy and handed him the knife. He thanked her and cut his own palm.

They flew into the air and below the ship. On both sides of the hull, in their blood, they painted an anti-demon sigil, which would ward off any unwanted visitors. At least on the ship. Off of it, it would be more dangerous.

The warship looked a lot more satanic now, but honestly, it was the moment Percy stepped aboard. They flew back to the deck. Piper was gone, as was Jason. Percy assumed that she took him to the medical bay. Leo was sitting by the controls, looking like he was in time out, forced to think about what he had done.

Hazel and Frank were gone.

"So, where are we staying?" Percy asked.

"Come with me. I'll show you." Zoë said, smirking.

"Oh, will do."

A/N. HELLO GLORIOUS PEOPLE! Yes, I have another chapter for you, you're welcome. No need to thank me. Anyways, not much to say.

Frank is still pissed off at Percy, which is good, because he shouldn't just go back to being homies over one meeting. "But Random, didn't he go from being homies to hating him in one chapter?" you're asking. Ah, but here's the thing. He had started to reevaluate Percy when he used the Spartus. Then it all kept building up as he learned Percy's reasons for being there. So yeah, hope that clears that up. Eh, who am I kidding, no one cares.

Also, I have been working on a new multi-chapter story, but only when I'm at school. I have a teaser for it in the Art channel of my discord server. Here's a link if you'd like to join. if not, no worries. /ANGjFZZdRQ

For my FFN viewers, just copy that code thing into discord, since it won't let me type the first part of the link.
