Chapter 2: The Rouges and the Princess
Morpheus meets up with Chairman Rose in his private suite in his tower within the main city of Wyndon. "Mr. Rose, we need to talk about these dangerous criminals who blew up the SS. Mary. Wes, N, and Lillie were the ones who set up the bombs to destroy killing thousands of people," Morpheus said.
"That is concerning, I need to broadcast to tell the people of Galar to stay alert for these criminals. The Gym Leaders, police forces, and the Champion of Galar will come to defend the people against this threat," Rose said as Morpheus laughs within his mind to play the Pokemon League like a flute.
"All too easy," Morpheus said as all three are now criminals in Galar.
Elsewhere N, Wes, and Lillie are still in the mini sub heading for Galar. "So where will we be landing?" Lillie asked.
"Not on the mainland. Morpheus is going to pin the ship's destruction on us and not the big black dragon which turned the ship into melted cheese," Wes said as N pulls up his phone to show them the Crown Tundra.
"The Crown Tundra is our spot. It's quite closed off from the mainland and it's snowy all the time. Makes it hard to track us in this environment. We need a base within a deep cave and a bunch of tunnels to make it confusing for our enemies to find us," N said.
"Perfect plan," Wes said.
"Gee, I only have a sundress now. I am going to freeze to death out there," Lillie said as she still wearing the sundress she had worn on their date on the ship.
"Okay, I will send out Liz to scout ahead and find a cave we can teleport inside," Wes said as he looks around the sub to see any supplies they can use.
"Oh, I would love to use one of my vintage snow dresses. Pink, furry and so comfortable," Lillie said.
"That would a be a lovely sight," Wes said.
"Oh, trust me, a pair of thick tights would make me look like a snow angel," Lillie said.
"Why do you already look like it," Wes flirted as Lillie is getting flustered.
"Gee, coming in rapid fire with the sweet comments huh?" Lillie asked as they managed to hit the ground on the Crown Tundra.
"Okay Liz, do your thing. Scout the area and find a place we can teleport," Wes said as he opens the door to let his Pokemon outside.
"Of course, I will be right back," Liz enters the snowy plains with snow falling onto the area. "So much snow here," the purple fox drives through the blankets of snow to see a small town nearby with lights shining through the windows and smoke coming from the chimneys.
Liz finds a cave opening to enter inside to see it's pretty deep to go through the spiraling tunnels to find something interesting. "A lodge deep underground. How interesting," Liz said as she detects people inside. "Well, we need to clear them out before taking it for ourselves," Liz puts this place to memory to teleport back to the mini sub to see the trio managed to gather the supplies into their backpacks. "I found a lodge underground. It has twisting paths and runs very deep," she said.
"Well, let's get moving," Lillie said as they get close to Liz to teleport into the deep cavern to appear before a nice-looking two-story lodge in a large cavern. "Gee, such a lovely building here. I wonder who lived here before," Lillie said.
"There are people here, three of them," Liz said as Wes approaches the building with N and Lillie going to back him up.
"Who is in that, come on out now," Wes said as the doors burst open to reveal three figures.
"Prepare for trouble," Jessie said.
"Make it Double," James said.
"To protect the world from devastation," Jessie said.
"To unite all the peoples in our nation," James said.
"To denounce the evils of truth and love!" Jessie said.
"To extend our reach to the stars above!" James said.
"Jessie!" Jessie said.
"James!" James said.
"To blast off at the speed of light," Jessie said.
"Surrender now or prepare to fight," James said as the trio struck a dynamic pose.
"Meowth, that is right," Meowth said as the trio was dumbfounded by how cheesy this is.
"Are you guys for real?" Wes asked as the trio tripped over themselves to fall onto the floor.
"Sadly, it appears so," N groans.
"They come off like bad super sentai villains," Lillie said as the trio regain their composure to hold onto their poke balls.
"Do not mock us, we were here first and we are going to fight you to leave us alone," Jessie said.
"We catch dibs on this place. After that nightmare from that dragon, we needed it," James said as they toss their poke balls to summon Seviper and Mime Jr onto the field.
"We are going to beat you into a pulp after we are done with you," Meowth said.
"They are all yours Lillie, you are the trainer here," Wes said as Lillie nods her head.
"Their Pokemon seem pretty weak. This will not take long," Lillie pulls out Magearna and Florges to send them onto the field.
"Pretty strong Fairy Types and a rare powerful one too," N said to make note of Magearna.
"She is a gift from my father but he lost his memories before he gave her to me. So, my brother found her and did it himself," Lillie said as the trio was bothered they were not taken seriously at all.
"Hey princess, this is a battle. Pay attention," Jessie said as he commands her Seviper to go after her Florges.
"I am," Lillie said as Florges uses Grass Knot to hold down Seviper with a bunch of grass ropes while Florges uses Magical Leaf to let loose a barrage of perfectly placed sharp leaf blades to cut into the snake's hull.
"Use Psychic," James ordered as his Mime Jr targets Magearna with a psychic blast to slam into the machine Pokemon but not take that much damage.
"Use Crafty Shield," Lillie said as Magearna summons a mystic force to block any incoming status moves. Seviper uses its bladed tail to cut away at the grassy rope to free itself from the trap.
"Seviper use Toxic," Jessie ordered as Seviper spits a purple goo onto Florges to score a hit but a pink shield blocks it and leaves her unharmed.
"Petal Storm," Lille said as Florges summons a barrage of sharp pink leaves to slam into the opposing Pokemon cutting them to pieces. Seviper didn't make it but Mime Jr used Protect to block it just in time.
"Oh damn, sweetie you tried your best," Jessie said as she return it to her ball to switch to another Pokemon Yanmega.
"That will be a bit more problematic," Lillie said as Magearna prepares to use Mind Reader to get ready for her next move.
Mime Jr is using psychic strikes to try to overwhelm Florges but Florges uses Dazzling Gleam to lob bolts of rainbow energy. Canceling out the strikes and overwhelming Mime Jr taking it out.
"Oh sorry, you did your best," James said as he switches to a new Pokemon. N is observing to find this interesting. James chooses a Frillish as the ghost jellyfish press the attack using Water Pulse as Florges uses a barrier to block the attack.
Yanmega uses Bug Buzz letting loose a soundwave to slam into Magearna shaking off the damage. "That slow thing can't hit my Yanmega," Jessie boasted as Lillie smiled for this didn't matter at all.
"Lock on target. Zap Cannon," Lillie ordered. Jessie is afraid of this as Magearna summons a ball of lightning over her chest and unloads onto the flying bug. Yanmega tries to use its speed but it was pointless Magearna locked on to the enemy and the Zap Cannon is going to hit its target no matter what.
The move hits and knocks down Yanmega in one move. Jessie is not happy with this. "Gee, you can do better next time," Jessie said choosing between two Pokemon left.
James is fighting the Florges as Frillish got in some hits but nothing too serious. "Come on Frillish, you can do this," James encourages his Pokemon to keep fighting.
"Not this time, Giga Drain," Florges hits the Frillish with the power of nature to seep away all its energy to absorb it into herself healing all her wounds and restoring her to full strength. The move strikes hard to one-shot the ghostly jellyfish.
"This is kind of embarrassing," Wes said as N nods his head.
"You have a number advantage yet you are still losing quite badly," N said.
"Screw you, we still have two Pokemon between us," Jessie said getting quite upset. "We just found this place, I don't want to freeze to death in that frozen hellhole," she thought as she tosses Gourgeist and James tosses out Carnivine onto the field.
"Grass types," Lillie said as she made Magearna go into ball mode to make it like a big dull-looking poke ball. "Defense Curl," she said as Magearna is bulking up her defenses to get ready for an all-out offensive.
"Will-o-Wisp," Jessie ordered as her Gourgeist lets out a ghostly flame to hit Florges but Craft Shield activates to block it.
"Razor Leaf," James said as Carnivine is unleashing tons of sharp leaves. Florges creates walls of vines to block this while Magearna takes the hits to not take much damage.
"Rollout," Lillie ordered as Magearna speeds off toward the two Pokemon. "Shift Gears," Magearna's ball form is going through faster than before. James, Jessie, and Meowth were surprised by the raw speed.
"Hit it now," Jessie said as their Pokemon unleash their attacks but it was all in vain. The Rollout attack steamrolled the two Pokemon with ease to knock them down.
"Damn it, this girl is crazy," Meowth said as James and Jessie released their final Pokemon which are Wobbuffet and Inkay.
"Moonblast," Lillie said as Florges unleash a beam of light to strike the little squid not even having a chance to fight back being knocked out. "Okay Jessie, Wobbuffet can only Counter or Mirror Coat one at a time. My Magearna is going to use Rollout which is a physical move while Florges Moonblast is a special move. Either way, you are going to lose," Lillie said as the battle is about to be over.
"No!" the Rocket Trio said as they are going to be thrown out into the cold. Wobbuffet panics to use Counter to knock back Magearna but the Moonblast hits its mark to send Wobbuffet into a wall knocking him out.
"We win," Lillie said as gives her Pokemon pets on the head for a job well done.
"Damn it, we are going to freeze in the cold outside," Jessie said as the trio sighed.
"Hold it, we didn't say anything about throwing you out," N said as the trio was confused by this.
"You are not going to give us frostbite?" Meowth asked.
"No, of course. I wouldn't let that happen," Lillie said as Wes nods his head.
"Your performance was poor but the fact you survive the attack from the ship shows you three have some skills," Wes said.
"What are you thinking about?" James asked.
"If you are willing to work for me. I will let you stay here but you need to follow my orders," Wes said.
"You are giving us mercy?" Jessie asked.
"You were part of Team Rocket in the past and now they are nothing but a memory. How about putting those skills for something more meaningful and helping me fight my enemies," Wes said.
"Well, we need all the help we can get and you seem able to survive up to this point. We should work together," N said as the trio go up to Wes to give him a big group hug while shedding tears of joy.
"This is the nicest thing anyone has done for us in a long time," Jessie said.
"We have wandered for ages after that brat Leaf destroyed Team Rocket 5 years ago. We have been trying to make end meet but it always ends in failure," James said.
"We were trying to get a new life in Galar but that dragon came and shit all over it. Thanks, man," Meowth said as they were deeply indebted to him.
"Sure, besides you remind me of myself a long time ago. Working in a gang to try to survive and finding purpose. Come on, let's check inside," Wes said as the trio saluted to him happily.
"Yes boss," the trio said as Wes feels happy about that.
"Boss, that sounds nice," he thought as they enter inside with Jessie and James going to take care of their Pokemon who were hurt in the fight with N taking note of this.
The lights were flicking out in the rooms. "Seems like the power is very weak here," N said.
"I got this, I got an electric Pokemon with me," Lillie said to summon her Dedenne for the trio is amused by it.
"Oh look, a Pikachu knockoff," Meowth joked as the little mouse pouts showing sparks from her cheeks to make Meowth back down from their comment. "Okay I am joking," Meowth said.
"Good, now I am going to charge up the generator. Where is it?" Lillie asked.
"It's downstairs in the basement," James said as she and Dedenne went downstairs to see a nice-sized generator which is running quite low.
"No one has been here for a while now," Lillie thought as she orders Dedenne to use Thunderbolt to power up the machine to 100 percent. The generator roars to life for the light to go up without delay as everyone is happy about this.
"Good, we got ourselves a base of operations here," Wes said.
"Boss, what are you talking about?" James asked as Wes explains his mission here to take down Cipher in the region along with fighting against the corrupt Galar Pokemon League.
"That is nuts, just the six of us?" Jessie asked.
"Yep, 5 Rouges and one Princess. I like those odds," Wes said.
"What do you mean you like those odds?" Meowth asked.
"I fought Cipher in Orre 2 years ago with myself and a friend who is not with me now due to the Doctor and his experiments. I have more allies now and hope you are ready to go?" Wes asked.
"Well, you're the boss now, we will follow you whatever you do," James said.
"We got to earn our worth here," Jessie said.
"You can count on us," Meowth said.
"I remember you guys on TV back in the day when Team Rocket was at large in Kanto and Johto over 5 years ago. Even the Talking Meowth too," Lillie said.
"Don't remind us, we got our asses kicked by some 11/12-year-old girl," Jessie said.
"Oh yeah, Leaf is the current Indigo Champion beat you guys pretty good," Lillie said.
"Don't remind us about that," the trio said at the same time with Lillie giggling at this.
"She became the Champion not too long after Team Rocket was gone," Lillie said.
"You don't have to rub it in. That brat gets the star treatment and we are always broke trying to get by," James said.
"Well, you are under my wing now. At least you are warm and have food to eat. Speaking of which, we have gotten some rations from the mini-sub. We can eat those for the time being," Wes said as they have packs of different flavored noodles.
"Oh, nothing like noodles to warm the heart," Meowth said as James goes to the kitchen to warm up the shove.
"Thankfully, everything is in working order," James said as he puts an apron on to get cooking some noodles.
"Trust me guys, James is quite the amazing cook. He can make dry seaweed taste good," Jessie said.
"So, what is your plan Boss?" Meowth asked Wes.
"Well, if we are going to strike back. We will need intel and we got a friend on the main Island who can help us. Swan's friend Sonia, hopefully, this place has a radio I can use," Wes said as he calls Sonia to the main island.
Elsewhere within the Pokemon lab, Sonia is looking at a news report about the destruction of the SS Mary for an old radio that begins to turn on. "The bloody hell," Sonia said as her mentor's old radio system is activated. "Hello?" Sonia asked.
"Sonia. It's me, Wes," Wes said through the radio waves.
"Wes, what is happening? You are all over the news, you, N, and some girl," Sonia said.
"It's complicated. We got ambushed by Doctor Death on the ship when we got here. We are now within the secured location. I need to meet with you soon," Wes said.
"Right, meet me in the village at the southern end of Galar. It's pretty small and Rose wouldn't care to look there," Sonia said.
"Good, I will see you there," Wes said as he cuts off the radio to sit on the chair.
"Are you okay?" Lillie asked as she comes into the room to place her hands on his shoulders.
"We need to get our bearings. I am going to meet Sonia who is friends with Swan," Wes said.
"Oh, Professor Swan. I know him. He gave me the Burst Heart through my friend," Lillie said.
"Let's go together and meet with the Professor but for now. We need to rest, it's a rough day," Wes said.
"Yes, we should. After some good noodles, we should go to bed," Lillie said as she kisses him on the cheek. "That is some grade-A kindness you've shown Jessie, James, and Meowth," Lillie said.
"They remind me of myself when I was younger. I was part of a gang called Team Snagem in the Orre Region. Trying to survive and making money whenever I can," he said.
"You were a thief?" she asked.
"Still am in a way. Stealing back the Pokemon Cipher corrupted and freeing them back into the wild where they belong," Wes said.
"You did mention seeking redemption. I am happy for you; you are doing something good for the world," Lillie said.
"Well, I am lucky to have met you, Lillie. Your smile brings some nice sunshine in these times," Wes said as Lillie is blushing from this.
"Thanks, I am glad I can bring you some peace with my presence," Lillie said.
"Okay everyone time to eat up," James said as the smell of noodles overwhelms the senses.
"Yeah, well Princess time to get some grub," Wes said as the duo head into the living room where James places the bowls filled with noodles.
"Bottoms up," James said as N takes his bowl to eat it up.
"This is pretty good," N said.
"I know right, James is a kickass cook," Jessie said as the six members of Wes's new gang are enjoying some lunch before heading for bed in their rooms. This underground house is two stories tall and has several bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, a living room, and a basement.
Lillie is in her room to strip out of her sundress to be in her pink silk bra and panties. She looks over her new room which is quite big enough with a bed, a dresser, and a mirror. "My new life with my crush being a thief. It's like something out of a story or something but I don't regret this. I am aiding in stopping a great evil with a power only I can wield," Lillie said as she holds the Burst Heart of a powerful Legendary Pokemon Nebby aka Lunala.
Lillie slips into the sheets to begin to go sleep with dreams of her sweet bad boy Wes enjoying them throughout the night.
