Fitz drove Olivia home for the rest of day. Olivia leaned over the armrest kissing Fitz. Abby stood at the large bay window watching the pair...She rolled her eyes. turning back to Quinn. "Whats up abbs," Quinn asked, waking to the window...where she saw Fitz and Olivia in a full make-out session. Quinn pursed her lips shifting back to the redhead. "Abby you can't be serious?" she scolded.
"I'm not mad or jealous" Abby lied.
"But you're rolling your eyes and-"
Olivia's voice sounded through the house, Abby and Quinn met the blushing girl in the hallway. Quinn gave Abby a stern look. "Liv when did you get back?" Abby inquired. "I saw yall in the window." Olivia laughed at the pair. Olivia pulled off her shoes and settled on the couch. Regaling her day with Fitz. Quinn listened attentively while Abby mumbled snarky little comments and making faces. Olivia frowned looking to Abby "Do you have something to say?" Olivia barked.
"I didn't say anything," Abby said defensively.
"you didn't have to-you're sitting here making faces and acting like a child."
Abby scoffed, folding her arms against her chest "You're the one who chose him over us"
Quinn shook her head "Don't put me in it"
Olivia knew why Abby was acting like this. But accusing Olivia of putting Fitz above Her or Quinn was a lie. Abby shouldn't be the one talking about priorities. last summer Abby left Quinn and Olivia in Marylin while she hitched a ride with some 23 years old to Washington state to have sex in his parent's cabin. Olivia got off the couch and made her escape upstairs. The nerve of Abby. Quinn watched as Olivia rushed upstairs. "You're a bitch you know that" Quinn rolled her eyes going to her room. A few minutes later Abby was knocking at Olivia's door. Impatient, Abby walked in flopping on her bed, staring at the ceiling.
"I'm a little jealous...but not because I liked him a whole lot." Abby sighed, trying to get the words out. Olivia sat up propped on her elbow. "Guys always wanna date you-sometimes I just feel like I'm a good screw and then guys move along. I'm sorry for what I said downstairs" Abby apologized.
"Thank you," Olivia pulled the redhead up into a hug.

The next night Olivia and Quinn and Abby went to an 18 plus club. Olivia couldn't resist inviting Fitz so he brought a couple of his friends along.
"Hi" a bright smile plastered her face when Fitz walked up to their booth,
"Hi" his eyes traveled down to Olivia's exposed thighs. She was wearing a tight pair of shorts and a red long sleeve crop top.
Fitz introduced his friends briefly, leaving them with Abby and Quinn. In the meantime, Fitz and Olivia found their way to the dance floor. Olivia's face lit up when one of her favorite songs came on.
Tonight I'll be your naughty girl
I'm callin' all my girls
We're gonna turn this party out
I know you want my body
Tonight I'll be your naughty girl I'm
Callin' all my girls
I see you look me up and down
And I came to the party
Fitz smiled as her hips swayed against him, pulling her closer. She started to grind as the music progressed getting more and more seductive. She turned to wrap her arms around his neck pulling him in for a kiss.
"You look sexy" Fitz whispered, snaking his hands around her waist pulling her closer to him. The height difference as he leaned down capturing her lips again. Olivia broke their kiss.
"Where were you gonna take me that night?" She asked, Swaying back and forth.
"Do you want me to take you now?"
She nodded smiling, Fitz led her off the dance floor.
Olivia said quick goodbyes to Abby and Quinn, giving Quinn the keys to her rental. Fitz did the same, the quad looked cozy. Olivia giggled when Fitz threw her over his shoulder making his way through the crowd. He sat her down when they got to the car. A few minutes later, Fitz pulled into the empty parking lot of the beach. "Let's go" he smiled opening her door, before walking to his truck. He pulled out a couple of blankets and a lighter.
"Fitz what are we doing?" Olivia giggled. Fitz grinned grabbing her hand leading her into the cold sand. He brought her to the shoreline.
"It's a bonfire" he explained grabbing sticks, he started to form a sandpit. Olivia went on getting more sticks and rocks. After the fire was lit Fitz fanned out the blankets. He sat down, patting the seat next to him. Olivia obliged. "I come out here to think. In high school my father was a nightmare...some nights I didn't go home." He brought his knees came up to his chest. "I had a couple of buddies whose parents didn't mind me staying with them but here is where I come to escape big jerry." Fitz continued,
"I'm so sorry." Olivia sighed, grabbing his hand. "If there's ever a night you don't wanna go home, I'll be here with you" she promised, softly.
"Yeah?" He smiled, weakly.
"Yeah" she affirmed, nodding.
It was too cold to go in the water. So Olivia laid down, tapping Fitz, signaling for him to lie back. "I used to look at the stars with my mom." Olivia didn't talk about her mother with anyone, not Edison not even her father. Her logic, "if I don't talk about her and the last memories of her life. It has won't hurt me"
Fitz just held her hand, while she talked about Maya. It meant so much to her, just to be listened to. Olivia's sniffles alerted Fitz, turning on his side he pulled her closer. "She sounds a lot like my mom. She was the sweetest most caring person I've ever been so blessed to have in my life...and now there's you" Fitz finished, tweaking her nose, gently. Olivia smiled softly. Soon they fell asleep, intertwined on the windy beach.
"Liv- Livvie." Fitz soothed. It was early the sun was just starting to raise and he didn't want her to miss it. Olivia stirred awake, stretching her arms out of the covers. The cold startled her, she reflexively pulled the cover back. "Fitz?" She rasped,
"Look" he pointed ahead. She cleared her throat sitting up with him, bringing the blankets around her shoulders. Olivia watched the sunrise and Fitz watched her. How her face lit up, was something he would never forget and never get tired of seeing. Fitz sat back on his hands, Olivia laid against his shoulder. Fitz felt like his heart would pop out of his chest, everything about her was different from any other relationship he's had, he welcomed the feeling with open arms. "Breakfast" she turned facing him.
"There's a place close to here" they got up dusting themselves off.
"Let's go to your place instead and I'll cook"
"Even better" Fitz took her hand.
Olivia doesn't cook much, she doesn't need to. At school, she eats from the cafes and in D.C her father has personal chefs. They made it back to his house, Fitz gave her a pair of sweats so she could change out the wet clothes. Olivia made them spinach grilled cheese sandwiches.
"Will you be my girlfriend?" he asked suddenly.
The question took her by surprise, with food still in her mouth she chewed slowly. "What does that mean?" she asked, swallowing.
"my girlfriend" he repeated.
Olivia laughed, taking a drink of water. "I know- it's just were gonna be at different schools and you live in California." she reminded.
"I don't care. I'll visit you at school and we can make time for each other during the summer. I really like you, Olivia. The way you smile when I call you livvie or your contagious laugh I can't get over it...I don't want to- so will you be my girlfriend?" His eyes twinkled, Olivia watched his pupils dilate every time they made eye contact. the feeling was mutual she couldn't help it...Fitz made her happy in so many ways. She nodded her head as a smile crept across her face. "YES," Olivia squealed, bouncing into his arms.
Fitz sighed, relieved she scared him.
Olivia went home later that day after she woke up from her nap. Sleeping on the beach was fun but Olivia didn't get as much sleep as she would've liked. She and Fitz just made it official, they're dating now. The sun felt hotter, Food tasted better. Olivia could've sworn this what it feels like to fall in love and actually be in love. For lack of better words Fitz felt like he was walking on clouds, he made up the universe and she was now the center of it. Everything important to him revolved around her smile. And when she wasn't around clouds would rule the sky, daring rain to pour.
They spent just about every day together, Abby and Quinn were feeling a little cast to the side so when Fitz was working with his father she would party with them. Fitz didn't get along with Jerry except for work, Jerry had been putting in more of an effort so that when it's time for Fitz to transfer he can have a say in it. He was determined to push Fitz into law even if it took some bribing and blackmailing. That saying: "no one is above the law" meant nothing to Gerry and he made sure to let everyone know it.
Olivia hadn't met big jerry yet and Fitz wasn't in a hurry to introduce her. In his defense, he wasn't trying to scare her away. But today he's coming back and Olivia just can't stay away and neither can he.
Olivia ran into Abby's room, plopping down on her bed. "Hey, Fitz is having a pool party. Do you wanna go?"
"Is Brian gonna be there?" she asked half-heartedly.
"He said he'll invite some of his friends...so maybe," Olivia said, not all that sure.
"As long as I can invite Derek, I'm in," Quinn said from the hallway.
"Ok get dressed" Olivia squealed rolling off her bed.
Olivia got up, heading for the bathroom, Quinn followed her inside; closing the door behind them.
"You shouldn't have invited Abby," Quinn warned before continuing. "She slept with Brian and he hasn't called her."
Sitting down on the closed toilet seat, Olivia's eyes fell to the floor. Realizing the reason she didn't know this was because she had been avoiding Abby so she wouldn't randomly blurt out some cute thing she and Fitz did. And when they were together Quinn served as a divider, this summer was supposed to be a girls trip like every year but that went down the drain. All of a sudden Olivia felt like she was choosing between her friendship with Abby and her relationship with Fitz though...Fitz seemed to be winning.
"I'll tell Fitz not to invite him...we can't just uninvite Abby." Olivia reasoned.
"Okay but I just don't want her to make a fool of herself"
Quinn left the bathroom, Olivia took a quick shower. She planned to talk to Abby afterward. Grabbing a towel Olivia made her way back down to the redhead's room.
"Hi, Abbs." This felt like when mothers go and have the birds and bees talk with their teens. Abby was not her daughter and she already knew about this stuff but Abby had some self-esteem issues that hadn't really needed to be addressed until they got here and Olivia so-called "took Fitz."
She rolled her eyes as Olivia settled on the edge of her bed. "I don't need a talk. And Quinn should mind her own business" Abby sensed it from the moment she walked into the room. Pity, it vibrated off of Olivia.
"I abandoned you and I'm sorry" this was the most sincere she had been with Abby. Olivia hurt her best friend and she didn't know how else to make it better. It almost felt cruel to ask her to go to a party where she'd be miserable.
"I do it all the time, Liv. I don't care that your dating Fitz and I don't care that Brian is ghosting me" except...she did and she had a good reason to care.
"Do you wanna go home?" Olivia asked, placing her hand on of her best friends.
"No" she choked back tears, she held her head back, stopping her tears from escaping. "I- I just need my best-friend I miss it just being us and Quinn. This summer is so different and I hate it" this time she didn't fight the tears, rolling down her face.
this couldn't just be about a guy, there had been plenty of guys over the years that Abby happily dropped with no problem. And then it hit her...there's one thing. "Are you pregnant?"
Wiping away snot with the sleeve of her shirt. She answered with a simple nod. Olivia held her friend, as she cried stroking her head until she fell asleep. When Olivia made her exit, she found Quinn on the other side of Abby's door. She sat out there the entire time, contemplating how hard she's been on her for giving Oliva shit for dating Fitz.
"I'm going to talk to Fitz," Olivia said, leaving.

It took her a whole hour, she sat in the car outside his gate. Feeling horrible and she didn't exactly know what to say to Fitz or what he could do about it. Finally, she buzzed in the gate. Fitz met her in the driveway with a huge smile. Olivia got out, not smiling.
"You okay."
"Is brian here?" she began, continuing before he got a word out.
Fitz raised his eyebrow, she didn't greet him or anything she just started ranting about Abby and brian he could barely understand what she was saying, and then she started crying. Fitz didn't even get the chance to tell her that brian ended up staying home. Through her tears, he heard sip it of what she was telling him. Finally, he grabbed her, holding the tear stricken woman still. "Liv slow down. I'm gonna take you inside and you can tell me the rest." that's what most of her unintelligible cries were about and how brian is trash and ruined her best friend. Olivia nodded her head, finally, taking a breath. Fitz led her into the house, he sat her down before running to get some tissues. Fitz returned with a glass of water and some napkins.
"Please breathe" he pled, handing her the items.
taking a drink of water and a much needed deep breath, she began "Abby is pregnant"
Fitz sat opposite of Olivia on the coffee table "By brian?" his eyebrows furrowed,
she nodded drinking more water.
"Liv, brian is from Atlanta he's jakes cousin. They went home," he said, sadly. "I'm sorry about Abby."
"It's not your fault. I'm gonna take her home and find out what she wants to do- her parents can't know." her brown eyes staring into his blue ones.
"Is there anything I can do?" Fitz asked, taking her hand in his.
"No" softly she said.
"When are you leaving?"
"I'll call my dad when I get back to Abby. So probably by morning."
Fitz dropped his gaze, their summer romance was soon coming to an end much earlier than he had wanted or expected. Fitz loved that Olivia wanted to take care of her friend and hated brian at the same time. He walked her back to her car, kissing her goodbye. he watched her pull off before turning on his heels retreating inside.
Back at the mansion, Olivia convinced Abby to return to D.C so she could have more time to figure out what her next move is. They packed up and left the next morning. In D.C Olivia explained to her father why they were back earlier than he expected, though she did it without telling all of Abby's business. Abby spent the next couple of days with Olivia, honestly afraid to go home. Her mother didn't give advice or teach her anything...her father isn't the best source of moral support. After several more days, Abby finally decided to terminate the pregnancy; she wanted to see if she could feel something. anything..but there was nothing.
"Thank you." Abby squeezed Olivia's hand. She closed her eyes, tight.
Olivia held her silence the only sounds in the room were Abby's sobs and the hum of the machine. Abby asked for both Olivia and Quinn to be there but the clinic would only allow one other person in the room. After the procedure, they took Abby home (Quinn's house) Abby's parents were still under the guise that she was still in Santa barbara. And she didn't want them to have any reason to call her home earlier than she could have handled.
Olivia and Fitz talked every day since she left, he was desperate for her to come back for the remainder of the summer. But no way Eli would go for that two months in a row. FaceTime and 24/7 texting would have to do until one of them could get an opening.
Jerry had Fitz busy; working as an "intern" in his office. His father hoped that it would change his mind about politics "being where the action was" he said. There isn't much that goes on at the governor's office maybe if this was Washington maybe it would be worthwhile. Fitz thought when his father asked him (made him.) to come work for the summer.
Abby was healed enough to go home and tolerate her parents mostly her mother, her father was gone a good amount of time. Probably has a mistress Abby thought. Olivia took this opportunity to finally take her father up on his offer to visit Harvard's campus.
In Cambridge, Olivia and her father got to spend some uninterrupted time together. She still enjoys Eli's company...wishing Abby could have made the trip. The campus was beautiful and Cambridge is a town she could see herself having fun in. Making new friends, having new connections. She's going to be a powerful woman someday. Connections are always important. Her favorite part about the campus was that she could actually see herself sitting in the square studying. It was a place of growth and new beginnings. It just seemed wrong to pass that up. Olivia hadn't even started school and this place feels like home.
On the first day of their tour, Eli was still very much on the fence about sending his only child so far away. And by the end he was realizing that Olivia wasn't his baby anymore and to be fair he sent her to England after her twelfth birthday. He could trust her. She's honest and she'll be an amazing lawyer. He can't wait to help her on the path to greatness. His baby is growing up and this trip might have just solidified that for him.
Eli just couldn't help surprising Olivia so on their last day he planned something special.
"Dad I'd rather see where I'm walking" Olivia huffed, Eli blindfolded her at the hotel.
"It isn't much of a surprise if you can see," he said chuckling.
He guided Olivia to the front door of a large building with a green and white exterior. When he removed her blindfold, Olivia turned to him quizzically. She knew what was happening but the words just wouldn't form. A smile lit up her face...she embraced her father holding him dearly. Eli knew she was crying so he just held her. This was a major milestone and she missed her mother deeply. He promised Maya that he would take care of her and he hasn't let her down since he made that promise. Olivia pulls back, wiping away tears, she took a deep breath turning back to the building.
"Let's go sweetheart" Eli handed her the keycard to enter the building.
Inside, Olivia's mouth dropped to the floor. Beneath her was Karastan Kashmere's carpet. The kitchen was huge, with coffee brown Cabinets and marble granite countertops. It was a two-bedroom. Eli thought she could turn the second room into an office or a study place. The bathroom was perfect. Olivia could tell Eli really put his all into finding the perfect place for her.
"Thank you...so much, daddy. I love it" Her smile lit up the room and Eli just smiled. Hugging her once again.
We'll be back soon with more of the growing couple. I really appreciate the support and the reviews. I really enjoy it when yall tell me your thoughts and opinions. Stay safe and healthy, have a nice day or night.
