Chapter 3: Breaking Grounds
Lillie wakes up to get out of her bed to be greeted by Snowy to hop onto the bed to lick her face.
"Morning girl, it's a new day for our journey working with a band of rogues to stop a great evil. Just like a storybook or a manga," she said as she gets out of bed. "When I get to a village. I need some extra clothing and underwear," she thought as she takes her sundress to go into the bathroom to begin taking a lovely bath.
She drops her underwear onto the side. "Too bad, my clothing is under the ocean right now," she thought as they were pretty cute but she bets there will be cute outfits at the village as well. "Thankfully we are very deep underground it's not as cold down here. It's comfortable along with the boiler warding off the cold," she thought.
She dips into the warm bath to enjoy herself as the warmth is soothing her body. Her long golden hair floated on the water's surface like seaweed. "This hit the spot after all the stuff that just happened. I need to know where my brother is within this region and make sure he is safe," she said as she places her hand on her chest where her heart is. "Gladion," she thought deeply as what the Mother said bothered her.
She soon gets out of the bathroom to put on her underwear and sundress to greet her crush in his room. "Morning sleepyhead," she said as Wes looks upon her beautiful bright smile which can light up a room.
"Gee hey there sunshine, got a good sleep?" he asked.
"Yep, I felt warm and toasty. So, when are we heading to see Sonia?" she asked.
"After we get breakfast. James is cooking already," Wes said.
"Yeah, it smells pretty good," Lillie said as Wes is already dressed up.
"Oh Lillie, take this," he tosses a Mega Stone to her. "It was from the lab. It belongs to Diancie which she will be able to Mega Evolve," Wes said.
"Yeah, it will come in handy when we fight that Shadow Rayquaza again. Thanks," Lillie said as she puts it into her bag to give it to Diancie later. "I do have a Mega Band but no one to use it with," Lillie said for them to go downstairs.
"I know Alola's gimmick is Z-Moves. You got Z-Crystals?" Wes asked.
"Of course, I got one for Snowy and it's not a gimmick," Lillie said giving him an adorable pout.
"I should make you mad more often. You are the cutest," Wes teases her as Lillie begins to blush.
"Stop it," she said as Wes laughs with her go along with it. "Well, Snowy needs an ace in a hole in a pinch. Giving her a Z-Crystal makes sense," Lillie said to see James, Jessie, Meowth, and N are in the lower level to be at the table to enjoy some rice, cheese, and eggs.
"Bottoms up, this is my breakfast rice bowl. All one needs in a balanced breakfast," James said as Wes and Lillie take a bite out of it to be impressed with the makeshift meal.
"This is pretty good," Wes said.
"Yeah it's better than the butlers would whip up in my old house," Lillie said.
"Thanks, it's something I picked when we three go camping outside. I am the team chef," James said.
"Better him than Jessie, who can't cook if her life depended on it," Meowth said as a bowl is thrown into his face.
"What was that you say, freaking punk," Jessie let her temper flare up.
"Hey, better getting chocked than get food poisoning from you," Meowth said.
"Oh, I can arrange that," Jessie said.
"Calm down, no need to assault each other," N trying to be a peacekeeper since Team Rocket Trio are quite an energetic group of people.
"He is lucky we are friends," Jessie said.
"Come on guys, enjoy the meal and take solace in our new boss letting us sleep here nice and safe," James said.
"Well since we got time. You two need to train, you have nice Pokemon but you need experience in teamwork in double battles or triple battles," N said.
"That is a good idea, you are going to need the experience. There is a bunch of strong Pokemon around these parts in the Crown Tundra. You can work on your Pokemon before we make our next move," Wes said.
"Yes sir," the trio said.
"Hey Princess, how did you get some good?" Jessie asked.
"Yeah that robotic Pokemon was too strong," James said as he is still dumbfounded about the strength of her Magearna.
"She is pretty special. She has a special power when she defeats an opponent she keeps getting stronger," Lillie said.
"Seriously, that sounds better getting defeated by then some stupid Pikachu," Jessie said.
"Yeah that would be embarrassing," N said as he drinks his tea.
Wes and Lillie finish their meal to begin getting ready to head for the rural town of Gladwell at the southern tip of Galar. "Liz, take us there," Wes said as he shows her a photo of the small seafaring town.
"Okay, I got it," Liz said as both of them have their poke balls just in case they get into a fight. Liz teleports them away to head for the small town of Gladwell.
They arrived at the town to be by the sea with the cool air heading their bodies. "Well, this is quite the view and the air is wonderful here. We are finally on the mainland," Lillie said.
"Yes, but we need to be cautious. Take these," Wes hands her a pair of pink sunglasses.
"Oh, these are cute. Thanks, this is like a disguise?" she asked.
"Yes, it's used. Covering our faces a bit would help," Wes said as he puts on red sunglasses to head for the chosen building where Sonia is waiting for us. "Come on, let's move," Wes said as they enter the small town to see everyone minding their own business.
They see a billboard of Chairman Rose talking about three criminals Wes, Lillie, and N with their faces on the screen. "Gee, I am a criminal now huh," Lillie said.
"It's sucks but we need to keep pushing forward," Wes said as Lillie nods her head.
"Right, putting a label on me doesn't change who I am. Let's go find Sonia," Lillie said as they go over to see a bar filled with people. They enter inside to see people not happy to see Rose's face on the screen.
"Gee, this guy again. Can he ever shut up?" a man questioned as Lillie can see people here are not happy to see the Chairman talking on the TV.
"Anyone he hates is a criminal in his eyes," a woman said.
"I know right," a young man said.
"Gee, people here hate this guy," Lillie said.
"Of course. He managed to wreak the businesses here and take their customers," a familiar voice said as they turn around to see a tall pretty redhead behind. "Oi, what's up you guys," Sonia said as she spins around the curl of her red lock with her finger.
"Good to see you, Sonia," Wes said as he looks at her fresh new lab coat. "I guess Professor Sonia now," Wes said as Sonia has a big dumb grin on her face.
"That is right, I am the big cheese now. Professor Swan told me about your mission here to stop Doctor Death and Cipher. I have a few things that will be useful to you," Sonia goes over to the corner to give him a few things. "These are comlinks, they act like long-distance radios. They are secured in a linked network, don't bother using your phones they will trace them," Sonia said as she points to a comlink in her ear.
"Nice, we will need these," Wes said as he takes several comlinks into his backpack.
"Secondly, I have this mini teleporter. I have the purification machine in my lab, use this to send Shadow Pokemon so I can clean them up and release them back into the wild," Sonia said as she hands them a small device where there is a slot to place a poke ball on.
"Cool," Wes said.
"Also, Rose isn't as strong as he thinks he is. Many people want to get rid of him because his company taking away too much from the people. Lots of rural towns like this one want to stay away from Rose's nonsense," Sonia said.
"Would people rat us out?" Wes asked.
"I doubt it. Hey if you do favors for these people, I bet they will lighten up to you. I hear there is a Shadow Pokemon causing trouble for the people here in Gladwell. Talk with the mayor of the town, she will tell you the details. She are not fans of Rose, she will be friendly with you," Sonia said.
'Alright, we got a plan," Lillie said as they exit out of the bar.
"Liz, teleport the teleporter and Comlinks to the hideout," Wes said as Liz nods her head.
"I will get to it," Liz takes the devices to teleport away. Sonia takes the duo to the mayor's office. "She will see you now," Sonia said as the duo come inside to meet with the mayor of Gladwell Miss Helen who is a dark skinned lady sporting a blue dress.
"Oh, you two are all over the news. Rose doesn't seem to like you or it's a request from his business partner Mr. Morpheus," Helen said as they go inside. "My goodness, the legendary Wes in the flesh. The one who defeats Cipher's Orre Branch. Hopefully, you can take care of Cipher's Galar Branch as well," Helen said.
"You know about me?" Wes asked.
"Of course, Swan told me about you and your deeds in Orre. A real hero in my eyes but you are up against a machine here. Cipher got their claws onto the Pokemon League and use Rose like a puppet. Instead of a stick, there is Morpheus's hand so far up Rose's ass to have become a total Muppet," Helen said.
"Yes instead, I will leave you two in Helen's capable hands," Sonia said as she leaves them.
"Well, who is the girl Wes?" Helen asked.
"She is a new member of my team and a special friend," Wes said as Lillie bowed her head.
"I am Lillie, please to meet you," she said.
"Very ladylike. A classic Rouge and Princess team up, very romantic," Helen said in a teasing tone.
"You can say that," Lillie said glowing in the face as she enjoys the idea.
"Oh, wait a minute. You are that woman who fought against Steven in the Hoenn Elite Four bout," Helen said.
"Yeah that was me," Lillie said feeling humble about it.
"That was one hell of a match. Too bad you lost," Helen said.
"It's no problem, so what is your problem you want us to fix?" she asked.
"Pokemon are killing our hikers in the forests nearby. A Garchomp and a Tyranitar were sighted doing this. They are based in a cave nearby," Helen said.
"Okay we will take care of it," Wes said.
"Thank you, you two. I will update your map on your phone to the location of the cave. Good Luck," Helen said as Wes and Lillie headed out of the town and into the forest.
"Shadow all over this," Wes said.
"Or maybe Mutant Pokemon controlled by the Mother," Lillie said as she has nightmares of those twisted mutated Rattata who gave her quite the pain.
"Whatever it is, we need to steel ourselves for the fight ahead," Wes said as someone is watching them from the shadows. "Those two from the ships. I will have my servants kill them so I can grab their biomass for myself," Mother said as she teleports back within the cavern.
Lillie and Wes arrived at the cave to see the bones of humans left behind at the mouth of the cavern. "Azumarill comes on out," Lillie tosses a ball to summon her blue water rabbit.
"Azumarill huh?" Wes wondered as this Water/Fairy Pokemon seems ready to fight.
"She is quite capable. You will see," Lillie said as Wes draws out his dual pistols and his double barrel shotgun pistol aka Double Shot is on his hip ready to be used.
"I will give you backup," Wes said as they toss a flare to spot the Shadow Garchomp. Wes used an eyepiece to scan it to see the dark aura around it.
"Shadow Pokemon alright but something is wrong with it," Wes said as the Garchomp speaks into the light to be mutated with muscles pulsing through its scales and several spikes coming out of its back.
"Mother's handiwork. It would be more powerful normal," Lillie goes into her Hybrid Form for the three to engage the mutant monster.
Mutant Garchomp lets out a powerful roar to leash out several rock spikes around them. Wes uses a wrist-mounted grapple hook to shoot a rope to gain some ground to avoid the attack. Lillie uses her wings to avoid the attack.
Azumarill uses Aqua Jet to plow through the rock spikes to slam into the monster dragon as Garchomp uses to use its sickle arms to slash the water rabbit.
Azumarill uses Ice Punch to fight back to knock back the blade arms to give the dragon a nasty sting from the bitter cold. "Misty Terrain," Lillie orders as Azumarill lets out a mystic power to cover the cave with a pink mist weakening the dragon.
Wes is on top of a platform firing several rapid-fire shots to cut into the scales but not slowing it down. Garchomp uses Dragon's Breath to aim at Wes. He jumps out of the way to use his grapple hook to latch onto a hanging spike.
He swings over the dragon to drop a flashbang grenade to emit a bright light. This blinds the Garchomp as Lillie is tossing a bunch of Shadow Balls to pound away at the monster. "Azumarill, use Belly Drum," Lillie said as she closes in to use Shadow Claw to slash into the scales of the beast.
The Mutant Garchomp fights back clashing with Lillie to headbutt her away. It kicks up dust to get into Lillie's face to distract her. It uses Dragon Claw to slice at Lillie to send her flying across the cavern.
"Lillie, are you okay?" he asked on his new comlink to secure a radio link with her. Wes switches to his Double Shot to load it up with two explosive slugs.
"Yes, got caught off guard," Lillie said as she uses Confuse Ray to hit its mark confusing the beast. Azumarill uses Play Rough to empower her hands with Fairy Power. She uses Aqua Jet to slam into the Garchomp for the dragon is surprised at how strong this little rabbit is.
Azumarill follows up with a barrage of hits with Garchomp unable to block getting weaker with each hit. Azumarill uppercuts it into the hit as she unleashes a close-range Moonblast to send it flying across the cavern.
Wes is impressed by how strong Lillie's Azumarill is as Lillie pulls the Garchomp with her psychic power to unleash rapid ghostly slashes and uses a new move. "Bloody Howl," Lillie creates a dome of darkness around Garchomp to tear apart the beast until it can't resist anymore.
Wes goes over to fire two explosive slugs to dig into the monster's arm slots to sever them in powerful twin blasts. The mutant monster is yelling in pain as two of its severed limbs fall onto the ground. Lillie swiftly moves it with her ghastly claws and severs its head. Blood shot out of the exposed neck slot as the corpse flops onto the ground putting it down for good.
"Gee, that was insane," Wes said as Lillie nods her head.
"Yes, poor thing. Mother turned it into a living weapon," Lillie said looking down at the dead dragon.
"I guess Morpheus wasn't just talking crazy. He made a human who can do this," Wes said as Lillie nods her head.
"Yes, we need to find that Tyranitar and keep these people safe," Lillie said as the Mutant Garchomp is acting weird. The scales and muscles are melting away from its body only leaving bones behind.
"Impressive you managed to survive the ship's destruction. Now you will face another mutant. Kill them," Mother said within their minds as she controls a Mutant Tyranitar who is a Shadow Pokemon but its body is bigger than normal and bulker to the point it looks very unwieldy to walk.
The Mutant Tyranitar opens its overly large mouth to use a Hyper Beam with Lillie using Mirror Coat to send it back hitting the beast but it shakes it off. "Well, this is a problem for me. Azumarill takes the lead," Lillie said as her Pokemon uses Aqua Jet to slam into Tyranitar to do some major damage.
"No holding back for this mutants," Wes fired explosive slugs to hit the rock shell of the Pokemon to unleash powerful blasts to shake up the beast.
"Tyranitar fires a Dark Pulse at Lillie to use her wings to dodge for she takes flight to avoid the big monster's dark attacks.
"Biz, come on out," Wes summons his Umbreon to give them aid as he uses Iron Tail to rush at the big lumbering giant.
Tyranitar comes in to use Earthquake to erupt the ground with surges of power. Umbreon muscles his way through the onslaught to leap at the beast and slams his tail into its face knocking it to the floor. Biz uses Copycat to steal the Earthquake to save for later.
Wes rolls away from a charging Tyranitar to drop a few proxy grenades behind him while he rolls away from danger. The mutant tries chasing Wes but gets hit with explosions to stop it down and wound it further.
Lillie hovers in the air as she uses her mind to pull off rock spikes from the ceiling to lob them toward the mutant. Some managed to get crushed with a few swings and other ones managed to pierce its rocky shell drawing blood from the beast.
A surge of energy explodes from the Pokemon to blow everyone away and destroyed the rock spikes in its body but still exposed.
"Aqua Ring now," Lillie said as Azumarill casts a passive watery aura around herself to get constant healing. She takes a hit from a sharp and the Aqua Ring keeps her back in fighting shape.
Mutant Tyranitar uses Stealth Rock trying to keep Lillie from flying around. The floating rocks cut into her arm to draw some blood as she is forced to get to the ground. The big monster charges at her but she fades right through it to avoid the attacks.
Wes targets the exposed wounds with explosive slugs to hit deep and burst violently with red pouring everywhere. Wes uses his grapple hook to latch onto the mutant to land on its chest to place a few grenades. He kicks off the Pokemon as the blasts stun the beast with him firing back doing even more damage.
"Hit it, Earthquake," Wes said as he gains ground with Lillie moving away. Biz stomps his paws onto the ground to unleash a powerful surge of earthy power to tear up the cave and the Tyranitar. This moves breaks the Pokemon to put it near death.
Azumarill uses a powerful Aqua Jet to slam into the beast while Lillie unleashes psychic power to destroy the Stealth Rock trap. "Ghostly Howl," Lillie opens out her mouth to let out a powerful howl using it like a sonic weapon to tear apart the beast reducing it into a pile of broken bones and gore.
"Crazy move there," Wes praised her as Lillie nods her head.
"Thank you, let's check inside," Lillie said as all the biomass melts off the Pokemon's bones to float deeper into the caverns.
"Well, that is a nice show and a good meal as well. See you later," Mother teleports away before they can catch up with her.
"Damn it, she got away," Wes said as Lillie reverts to normal to see a ton of human and Pokemon bones scattered across the cave floor.
"Goodness, she has been eating Biomass from several dozen Pokemon and Humans. We warded her off and took care of the mutant Pokemon. Let's head back to tell Helen about this," Lillie said as they head outside to go to the town to be in the Mayor's office with Helen and Sonia talking among themselves.
"Oh, you did the deed?" Helen asked.
"Yep, we manage to take care of those Pokemon. All Morpheus' handiwork," Wes said.
"That is awful, I will get people there to clean up the cave. You have a haven within this town and get whatever you need from the shops here. Food, clothing, and supplies are open to you," Helen said.
"Thank you," Lillie said as she bows her head.
"You are doing this at great risk," Wes said as Helen set up a private account that is deeply secured to put their funds of 150,000 Poke Dollars inside for them.
"Well, people here hate Rose beside you are the heroes here. Nothing wrong with helping you guys out," Helen said as Sonic, Wes, and Lillie exited the building.
"Well, that ended well. You can do favors for the people here and in other small towns to get coverage from Rose. I hope Leon doesn't do something stupid," Sonia said.
"Fighting the Doctor head-on isn't a good idea. He is beyond ruthless and holds nothing back. He should stay away from him," Wes said.
"He is always wary of him and his seedy connections. He goes into things without thinking. Well, you got the comlinks, I will send you updates if something is happening on the mainland. I will keep in touch," Sonia said as she walks away.
"Well, I am going to hit the clothing shop and get some winter stuff," Lillie said as they head inside the humble little shop which has a bunch of pretty dresses on display. "So pretty," she said as she looks at a white wool dress that goes down to her knees along with a blue winter jacket with white fur lining.
"You want to try it out?" he asked.
"Of course," she said as she takes out the outfit to go into the dressing room along with some thick white leggings along with little blue winter boots. She strips out of her sundress to get into his outfit to check herself in the mirror. "Perfect," she said as she steps out of the dressing booth to let Wes see her.
"Damn, a total snow angel," Wes said as her tall hourglass figure fitted the dress pretty well showing off her nice shape.
"Thanks, this feels warm and toasty. I need a hat and gloves and this is my winter gear," Lillie said as she taps her new boots onto the wooden floor. Lillie collects different outfits and all kinds of cute and sexy undies for Lillie.
"That is a lot of colors," Wes said as he spots a lot of bras and panties in different colors, fabrics, and patterns.
"A girl must have options," Lillie said.
"I am not complaining," he said as he love to see her wearing these in his room very soon.
"Oh, you will see them on me soon if you keep being nice to me," Lillie said poking him on the nose and kissing him on the cheek. They gather clothing in bags for Espeon to come in and teleport them away to the hideout.
The duo goes over to the marketplace to enter a building to grab some food and medical supplies which Liz teleports back to the hideout.
"Wow, we did all our stuff time to go home," Wes said to teleport back so they gain some valuable allies on the mainland.
