Fitzgerald dragged himself out of bed, padding barefoot to the bathroom. He ignored the buzzing device on the counter. Sixteen hours since the story broke: Governor Grant a cheating, deceitful thief. The man who defrauded the people of California. Massachusetts and California had different news cycles; however, that didn't prevent Fitz from goggling the latest headlines.

His head snapped over his shoulder, hearing two loud knocks.

"Have you been asleep? I've been calling," Mellie says, stepping into his apartment. Shutting the door behind herself. "Fitz, I heard and-"

An exasperated sigh sounds, and he asks, "What are you doing here?"

Lips slightly parted, Mellie stepped back from him. Folding her arms across her chest. "I came to check on you- I heard about your father, and I wanted to know if you're alright."

"And you're here to what...comfort me? No thanks." The phone starts going off again.

"So I'm not the only person you've been ignoring?" Walking over to the phone, she discovered the caller was his father. "Answer," she orders, nudging the phone towards him.

Fitz turned it off and tossed it on the couch. "If I were going to answer, I would have done it the other five times he's called. I don't want to talk to anyone, especially him."

Now that the cats out of the bag and the investigation is public, Fitz is embarrassed by his father now. Still somehow unsurprised by the turn of events. He knew Jerry was a son of bitch, but embezzlement, bribery, tax evasion. It was extreme even for his father to hear big jerry tell it he loves the American and the justice system is his life. Fitz's gut was saying he's guilty, and he couldn't shake the thought.

"Fitz, he's your father no matter what he's being accused of. We don't even know if it's true."

"You don't even know him. How the hell would you know?" Fitz snaps,

"I don't-"

"Exactly," he said firmly. And turning on his heels, Fitz went to retrieve a shirt from the closet.

As Melody began telling Fitz that he shouldn't jump to conclusions without all the facts. The intentional knocks on the door truncated her holier than thou speech.

Olivia's deep brown eyes widened at the sight of Melody answering his door. Then darted to Fitz, pulling a T-shirt over his head. The picture looked worse than the actual story.

"What are you doing here?" Mellie asked.

"Never mind," Olivia chokes out before speeding down the hall.

"Liv, wait!" Fitz ran towards her, but she kept going. "Shit," he said with a sigh, running fingers through his hair.

"What was she doing here?" The skin around her eyes turned a bright shade of red. "Fitz, answer me."

"You should leave. I don't want to take my anger out on you- so go" Fitz shook his head.

Her bottom lip trembled, and she stepped through the door he was holding open. "Call me later."

XXX

Tears stung her eyes as she fumbled for her keys, trying to open the door to her condo. Inside, Olivia flopped down on the sofa. And when her phone rang, she answered it on the first ring.

"Hello, hi daddy."

"Olivia, sweetheart, how are you?" Eli asks, reclining in his chair.

"I'm fine, dad. When are you arriving?"

"Tomorrow, I was thinking of bringing Sandra. But if you aren't okay with that, I won't."

"No, I love Sandra. How is she?" Liv smiles.

"Fantastic, she just got home from an extraordinary find. Her team found hotspot lurks beneath the national parks geyser and hot springs, and about 9 million years ago, the volcano exploded in two supereruptions." Eli Pope could talk about paleontology or geology for hours. Olivia had no interest in either field; however, she let him go on.

Sandra and her father had been 'friends' for years until last month he announced they were officially a couple. Olivia Pope is no fool. They've been together since she was little. Her father was making sure she never forgot her mother, and keeping Sandra at arm's length did that. Now Olivia is old enough to understand their relationship. She supports them completely.

"That's an amazing dad; I can't wait to see you two."

"Liv..." his tone was darker, "Diego told me you wanted to stop the investigation," Eli says matter of factly.

"I did; however, it's too late. Daddy, someone I care about is gonna gets caught in the crossfire." Olivia chokes back tears

"Shirt boy?"

Liv arched her brow. "How did you..."

"I'm not stupid. But we'll talk about this more when I get there; certain conversations are best in person." Eli says.

"Okay," she sniffles, patting tears away.

Eli disconnected the call. Olivia pulled herself up for the day. There's still enough time to make it to journalism. Writing always had its therapeutic remedies whenever she was in a crisis. Right now felt very much like a crisis. As cliche as it sounds, she's in love with one boy, and it's not the one she's currently dating. Olivia's dilemma: She hasn't expressed this to either one of them. She can't go to Fitz and expect him to forgive her for the past three months; she doesn't deserve it. Not now.

It turns out writing wasn't the best remedy for this situation. She couldn't stop thinking of Fitzgerald long enough to write anything down.

Olivia sighed.

"Hi, Olivia" Amelia tapped her shoulder.

"Hey, how are you?"

"Good, I wanted to ask you about Ronnie. He said you guys had law 101 last year, and I wanted to know if he's worth it."

Oh god, is he worth it? That question has been in the back of her head all day.

"I'm not gonna be dating him, but I think he's smart and can be sweet with the right girl. if it helps, I say go for it." Olivia shrugged a shoulder elegantly.

"Thanks, liv. He's throwing a party tonight. Will you be my wing-woman?"

Olivia rubbed her chin as if she were thinking hard, then a broad smile formed. "Of course, and we can get dressed at my house. I live like six minutes away from him."

"Oh my god, thank you, thank you," amelia squeals hugging her.

James waited for the last of his students to file out of the classroom before stopping Olivia and pulling her into his office.

"I'll see you later, mil."

"Ok, liv" The two friends waved.

"Hello, Olivia, how are you?" she thought he was going to scold her for not paying attention.

"Good," Olivia says, somewhat nervously.

"Well, I think you've been extraordinary. Last week's paper was outstanding. Everything Pr. Beene said was true." James praised.

Releasing the breath she was holding, liv laughed. "You scared me; I thought I was in trouble."

"You are not in trouble, but there's something else I wanted to ask." at her nod, he continued, "A few weeks back, you and a friend used Cy- Pr. Beene's office, and I wanted to know if you heard anything. I was in a hurry, so I didn't stop to speak, but how long were you two standing there?" His expression is hard and nervous.

"Like a minute, and I didn't hear anything, and if Fitz did, he didn't say anything to me," Olivia explains in one breath.

Pr. Novak, sighed relieved. "Thank you, Olivia. Have a nice day now," dismissing her.

She nodded, That was weird, but she didn't think anything more of it.

Abby ran over, "And you complain about me being late. You missed the review."

Olivia looked around, wondering where the hell the redhead came from. "Where were you just now?"

"Coffee shop, David's there. Micahel asked our advice about making it up to you," she says casually, and then it hit liv. She hadn't thought about Michael much at all. Not when she popped up at Fitz's house this morning or last night.

"What's his plans?" liv asked. Pulling Abigail's arms, leading her away from the grass.

"I don't know, I here with you. But my dad is coming this weekend, and maybe I'll get to show him the hell hole I'm living in, and he'll buy me an apartment" Abby's little scheme might work if her father actually cared. That man went to college. He knows what dorms are like, and he had no qualms about putting her in them. if Abby wants to get out, it's going to take a lot more than a 'dirty dormitory.'

"Parents weekend," she realizes, "I'm breaking up with him," Olivia reveals, in the most unbothered way.

A stern pair of green eyes stare at Olivia. "Because of Fitz?"

"How did you- it doesn't matter I'm breaking up with him because I don't want to meet his parents, and he's trying to force me." She quips, reasonably.

"Bullshit, and you know it. I saw the text between you and blue eyes. You love him" matter-of-fact, she does, but she won't admit it to Abby. Olivia hasn't exactly admitted it to herself.

"I don't know, and I just told you-he's not the reason, so hush."

"Can I be there when you do?"

"no, you heartless bitch" Olivia laughs, unlinking her arm with her best friend. she gets in the car before Abby rebuts. "Come by at 5:30," calling out the window.

A mischievous grin like the grinch spread across her freckled face.

Just as melody pushed her key through the keyhole, the door opens, and her mother stands in her apartment: the second unexpected and unwanted surprise of today.

"What are you doing here, mom?" Melody asked, not hiding her irateness.

"Oh mush, it's parent's weekend. I received an invitation in the mail." A toothy grin appeared.

"Wish you hadn't," Mellie mumbled.

"Don't be like that; I came to support you, baby," she says while pouring herself another glass of wine.

"So, who'd you bring?"

"No one, this weekend is just you and me. I'm clean, baby. I have a boyfriend, but we're taking things slow" charlotte glanced over her shoulder, making sure Jenna wasn't listening. "I don't get high anymore," she whispered.

"That's good, mom. I hope you're serious this time." her daughter says, hopefully.

"So tell me about your boyfriend, Fritz. I think Jenny said his name was."

and just like that, Mellie's smile disappeared. She peered at Jenna, who retreats to her room. How was Jenna supposed to know? Melody's mom had substance issues, and they have a rocky relationship because of it.

"His name is Fitz, and he's a governor's son," she exposes. "Although he retired due to health problems."

"I always taught you to aim high," her mother smiles, sipping the red drink.

"So what motel are you at?"

A soft laugh escaped her throat then she downed the rest of her drink. "I'm staying here with you, and I'll sleep on the couch, jenny suggested."

The idea of that flashed through her brain and left a frown on her face. "I wish you would have told me you were coming; I would have made plans to sleep somewhere else-" that came out harsh "I mean, so you wouldn't have to sleep on the couch. It's not at all comfortable."

With a dismissive wave of her hand, charlotte emptied the bottle into her glass. "I've slept on worse. As a matter of fact, I'm gonna take a little nap, and when I wake up, I'll take you out to dinner," she promised.

"Can't wait" Mellie forced a smile.

"Fitz, I know you're in there," Harrison hollered through the door and kept knocking.

"I thought you were melody," Fitz admits. Inviting Harrison in. "What's up?"

"You- I heard, and I'm not gonna say much more than that. But I wouldn't be a good friend if I let my boy mope around here all night when there's a party tonight."

"So you came here to-."

"Get your mind off of shit, get dressed" Harrison picked up a shirt that was haphazardly laying around and threw it to Fitz. "Don't wear that, but clean up, man. I'll see you there."

"Harrison...thanks," Fitz breathes.

"Don't mention it."

"This sounds like a party," Abby comments.

"Come in, come in, we're pregaming and getting ready for the party," Olivia giggles pulling her best friend inside.

Amelia is in the kitchen. Before Abby arrived, the pair were taking shots-still taking shots. She isn't a male whisperer, so she needs a little liquid courage. However, Liv reminded her that this is a party, and you never get shit-faced, just buzzed enough to have a good time. And if the night goes well, she'll end up in Ronnie's arms.

"Come on, we're doing shots," oliva squealed, dragging abs to the kitchen.

"Hi," Abby greeted, "Slow down, champ, drink some water, and only drink mixed drinks at the party," she advised.

Feeling a little embarrassed, amelia lowered the shot, setting it on the counter. "Right, I should get dressed."

Abby downed the shot and shrieked from the strong, bitter taste. "Ok, Olivia's closet is open."

"Nothing on the left side," Olivia warned. "I'll be right there." the pair watched ameila disappear into Liv's room. Then Abby grabbed Olivia by the shoulders, so they were face to face.

"Liv, you shouldn't break up with Michael. I know you said you aren't leaving him for that jackass. But he's dating Mellie" Abby searches her face for a reaction. "But you knew that already." she rolled her eyes and made a face.

"She answered his door, and he was shirtless this morning when I went over there," Olivia confesses, feeling foolish now that she's said that out loud.

"Liv, are you stupid? Because he cheated on you once, don't give him a chance to do it again." Abigail shut her eyes and composed herself. "I'm sorry, I don't want you to get hurt again, and Michael may be broke and annoying, but he's good for you."

"Okay," Olivia ceded softly.

Abby nodded, then she and Liv slipped into the bedroom to check on Amy's progress. Which was actually not bad; they liked the lettuce trim top with a pair of blue jeans. But she was trying Impress Ronald, which took some convincing that he probably wouldn't see the full outfit, no one party's with the lights on.

"This is perfect, and don't think about changing," Abby says, somewhat annoyed.

"Ok," Amelia giggles,

"More water and walk to Ronnie's house. She needs air," she adds,

"You're not coming?" liv asked, incredulously

"David's parents flew in and were going to dinner," blushing like an awestruck school girl. Olivia couldn't argue with that. Considering the guys Abby's run through, she's proud that her best friend has settled down for the time being.

Olivia hugs her tightly. "Let's have brunch tomorrow, you, me, and Michael bring David," she suggests.

"Make sure Michael has some money" it wouldn't be Abby without a slick comment.

laughing, "You are terrible."

Frat parties are always themed no matter what season: tonight's party is a link and drink. You and a partner get handcuffed and drink together all night. When they arrived, the house was full, even though the party just started. Lights were flashing music blasting. There was a Mosh pit in the living room. Like three kegs, with people upside down drinking. Bound to vomit at some point tonight.

"Let's cuff until you find Ronnie," Olivia shouts. The music is drowning her out.

I'm the baddest bitch; who wanna fight about it?
Put 'em in the booth; I bet I'll take the title (baow-baow-baow)
All of these hoes my sheep
Mary had a little lamb; they was talkin' 'bout me, ayy (yeah)

Blasted on full volume, vibrating the house.

"Ok!"

A random guy comes and ties them together at the wrist, gives them glow sticks, and disappears.

"First shot," Amelia announced.

"More like sixth...woohoo," they screamed in unison.

This house was huge, but as they moved around more. Olivia found more of her on-campus acquaintances. Including Harrison and Sydney.

"Hi guys, are you together?" Hollering

They held up their linked wrist, "yup."

"Omg, you two, I'm so-" the words died in her throat when she laid eyes on Fitz and Mellie across the room. "Happy- I'm happy" Olivia cleared her throat.

"Have you guys seen Ronnie?"

Leaning down to Amelia's ear level, "Kitchen," Sydney pointed.

"Thanks"

Olivia sighed, relieved that the kitchen was in the opposite direction. In the kitchen, Liv untied the rope and took a shot of vodka. The music was lower in here, and Olivia could hear herself think; however, now that's she's standing still, the liquor is starting to hit her.

Until...

"Hi, Liv," Fitz greeted. Dressed in a windbreaker and a pair of dark wash jeans.

"Are you okay here, Liv? I'm gonna dance with Ron." Ameila tells her.

"Yea, I'm fine," Olivia says in her best sober voice.

"You're not talking to me?" Fitz smirks, swishing around the juice in his cup.

"I don't have anything to say."

"You can start by telling me what you were doing at my place this morning" he's moving closer, closing the space between them.

"It's not- forget it" Olivia moved around him and went back to the party.

XXX

1:45 in the morning and the party is still raging, and people are dancing on the furniture. Derek was vlogging, walking around, shoving that camera in every pretty girl's face. Liv was past buzzed after she left Fitz in the kitchen. She took a bunch more shots.

The kitchen was the only quiet place in the house, probably cause it was furthest from the DJ. So when she needed a breather, she went there.

"Why were you at my boyfriend's house this morning" Mellie approached her with folded arms.

"What?" She hissed

"Fitzgerald, you know we're dating, so why were you there? He said it was nothing, but I wanna know."

"Then it was nothing now, please leave me alone," Liv massaged her temples.

"You might've seen me at the mall, but don't act like I'm stupid. You want him, admit it," Mellie pressed

"And if I did, I could have him," slurring her words.

Stepping into Olivia's personal space, "Is that why he's here with me? Olivia, I'm warning you to stay away from him," in a threatening tone.

"Mellie, I don't know what your problem is with me but miss me with it because I don't care what you and Fitz are up to." Olivia bumped her on the way out.

"Bitch" melody sounded.

"I know you are, but what am I" that was childish. Yes, but Olivia didn't care.

Now over this experience, Olivia left through the back door, and Mellie followed. Harrison and Fitz were out there smoking when Olivia rushed past them.

"Liv?" Fitz called, "are you leaving?"

"Yeah"

"Olivia," Mellie screamed,

Melody's Screech broke their buzz, and their heads snapped to her.

"Leave me alone," Olivia shouted over her shoulder.

Fitz ran to catch up with her "let me take you home- you shouldn't drive," he tells Olivia, but she kept walking.

"Fitz! You have to take me home," Mellie reminded, now angry.

"Can't you Lyft? I'm not really in the best shape to drive."

"But you just offered to take that bitch home."

Fitz pulls out his keys. "Don't call her that- here, take my car and don't crash it," and he took off again, catching up with Olivia.

"Leave me alone, Fitz," Olivia stumbled a bit. Now they're in front of the house.

"You're going to walk home at...2 in the morning. Come on, let me walk you home." He pleads once more.

Olivia shivered, wrapping her arms around herself. Thinking about it walking home at night isn't the smartest option. Even if both are wasted, no one will bother her if she's with a 6ft 2 Man.

"Ok"

Olivia didn't live far from the frat house, making it easier for them to walk. He'd hoped that it would be sobering. Olivia stumbled; she giggled. Watching the horrified look on his face, he was actually concerned. Her inebriated brain just wouldn't let her comprehend it.

However, the cold air was definitely sobering Fitz up. And then she started crying out of the blue. She sat on the stoop in front of her building. And dropped her head into her palms, sobbing. Fitz felt horrible he didn't reach for her...cause when he tried, she'd tensed up and scooted away.

"Why...Fitz? Why did you cheat on me?" She asked through unintelligible sobs.

His heart broke into a thousand pieces, he started to tell her the same things he's been saying for the last three months and then she spoke again, it was soft, broken "I loved you. You...You and Fitz broke my heart." Olivia bit her lips to keep from quivering and blinked her eyes to get rid of the blur.

Fitzgerald's eyes widen at the confession. He didn't have to worry anymore, didn't have to guess or hope. She said it. Drunk or not, Olivia loves him.

His throat was tight, his eyes blurring from tears. "I'm sorry," Fitz choked out.

Olivia shook her head, fishing through her pockets, looking for the fob.

Olivia woke to bright sunlight shining through her window, jumped from the bed, and then tripped over Fitz's sleeping body.

"ack! Fitz, what're you doing on my floor?"

The brightness of the room made his sensitive eyes squint. "After you threw up on me, you told me to lie down." Olivia couldn't confirm this because last was a blur. As she sat up, her head began pounding. It felt like she got hit with a brick.

"Also, I didn't want you to drown in your own vomit."

The thought of puking in front of him made her sick, and she pushed herself up to vomit. While she was in the bathroom, Fitz closed the curtains, his eyes weren't adjusting, and the dark was soothing. He put his head back and closed his eyes for a short time, but the pounding headache and the burning in his throat only intensified. He needed something to drink. Fitz walked to the kitchen, opened the fridge, and drank straight from her container of orange juice.

"Liv, are you ok?" He called through the door.

"I'm fine, and you can leave if you want to."

"I'm staying; we should talk."

The rest of the night might be fuzzy, but she distinctly remembers confessing her love for him. After that, everything went black. Apparently, sometime in the night, she vomited on him, and he didn't leave. She smiled with tears rolling down her cheeks.

Fifteen minutes later, Olivia emerged from the bathroom, wrapped in her fluffy robe. Her curly wet hair sat on her shoulders. "I'll be a few minutes; just wait here," Olivia told him. Tossing her robe aside, she hurriedly pulled on some sweats and met him at the dining table.

"Let's talk" A slow smile worked its way across his face and into his eyes.

The three sat in the cafe waiting for Olivia, Abby assuring Michael she'd be here, just running late.

"She was at a party last night, and she's probably sleeping in," Abby says, typing a paragraph to Olivia.

"It's fine. I gotta go get ready for work anyway, maybe we'll have dinner" Michael stands, hoping to see Olivia walking in at any time, but she never does. "Have fun," he tells the couple.

"Bye," David and Abby say softly.

XXX

"Did you mean it?" Fitz asks

She met his gaze with a nod, and they looked at each other until her face flushed. "Yes, but I don't know what to do about it."

"What do you mean?... We're in love. We act on it. Livvie being without you has been the hardest thing I've done."

"What about Mellie?"

"What about Mikey?" He cocked an eyebrow. "Let's be together," Fitz put his head over hers, the hand with Michael's promise ring.

Olivia reluctantly pulled her hand away. "I have something to tell you-your father."

Panic rose in his gut; she's about to put him down. Swallowing hard, he nodded, telling her to go on.

"Let me start at the beginning. Edison's father sexually assaulted me a couple of summers ago." His face looked pale, and he listened with an alien stiffness.

"It was only a kiss, but still, he violated me, and when your father did the same, I couldn't handle it, and I didn't think you'd believe me, so I left" her voice broke, but she continued. "It made me feel dirty and worthless. I couldn't stand the sight of Edison, and I thought it would be the same with you, but it wasn't, and that's when I knew I was in love with you because even after- after I still wanted you loved you."

Fitz pulled Olivia out of the chair and nestled her against his chest, holding her as she cried. "I love you too; I'm in love with you too," he whispered against her damp hair.

Fitz went home in a Lyft about an hour ago; Olivia is waiting for her father and Sandra to arrive. But before the pair parted, they promised to meet up after getting their affairs together. That means serious conversation with Michael and Mellie. He wanted to get his car then realized he didn't know where melody lived. Thinking about it now, he's never taken her home. Fitz tried caller her multiple times; each time, it went to voicemail. He figured she was sleeping in.

Olivia grabbed her keys and a light sweater. "Michael? I was just coming to find you."

"To tell me that you left Ronnie's party with your ex- don't bother, I already know," Michael said in a low tone that let her know he was angry and this wouldn't be easy.

"Actually, you don't. He just walked me home. I'm glad you're here. We need to talk"

Michael scoffed, shaking his head. Conversations that start like this are never good. "He only walked you home, so why are you breaking up with me?"

Taken aback by his tone, Olivia steps to the side and shuts the door. "Because it's not fair to be with you if I'm thinking about him."

"This morning, you were with him, huh?"

"Not like that, but yes, we had to talk-"

"About this. About how you're going to break up with me. What is wrong with you, Liv?"

"Michael-"

"Liv, you have secrets, and it's not just this guy. Tell me, and you'll feel better, and we can move on from this. My parents-"

"Michael, I don't wanna have this conversation anymore. Just accept it, please." Olivia reopened the door. "I have to meet my parents. I'm so sorry, Michael."

"Don't be. You'll move past this, and when you do, I'll be here. I love you, Olivia" Michael kissed her cheek, then they awkwardly walked down the hall to leave the building.

Olivia lied about her parents; she was leaving to see Fitz. Her list is finished, though he didn't accept it. Olivia is ready to explore the potential relationship with Fitz.

XXX

After calling Mellie a dozen more times, Fitz relaxed on the couch. That girl is crazy. She will pop up at some point today.

This time when Fitz's phone rang, he picked it up, knowing who was on the other end.

"What do you want?" His jaw clenched, and he sat up.

"I want to talk, that's all," Big Jerry responded. "Open the door, son."

Fitzgerald looked at the door. He got up, slowly opening it.

"Hello, Fitzgerald" His father smiled smugly.

"What are you doing here? I didn't think you could leave California with the investigation going on."

"The judge allowed me to participate in parents weekend, so I'm here, son," jerry reveals,

"Why, though? You have to know I don't want you here."

"I know- but I have to tell you something that I can't say over the phone." Jerry moves closer,

"I know you did it. Of course, you did it. I'll add terrible person right next to terrible father-"

Big jerry stuck his chubby finger in Fitz's face "you listen to me, boy,"

Olivia was coming down the hall. Immediately she heard big Jerry's voice boom through the house into the hall. Instead of walking all the way in, she stopped by the door listening to the commotion.

"You're a worthless disappointment. I don't know why I spend my money on school when your still dull-witted" Jerry's voice raised, intimidating Fitz.

"I never said I wanted to be like you," Fitz shot back.

"Your nothing. Being like me is the only thing you could amount to. You're sitting around here with that slut, Fitz haven't I always told you for you to be a winner you need someone to win with, what's her name "Olivia" she is not how you win she won't get you over the finish line" Jerry scoffed looking down at Fitz "you are worthless, nothing but a stain on my life."

"Some winner you are, you're going to jail because you never actually won an election, just cheated and stole." Fitz smacked his lips together

Just as Olivia heard her name, she walked in on time to see big Jerry take a swing at Fitz, which he blocked and pushed the old man.

"Fitz!" Olivia rushed over, grabbing his cocked back arm, preventing him from hitting his father. As much as Olivia would have liked to have seen that, she knew Fitz would come to regret it.

"You better do as I told you" Jerry made his way out the door. And soon as he was gone, Olivia sat her sweater on the coffee table. Fitz hung his head in Shame; he knew that Olivia had heard everything. It made him feel small. He dropped to the couch, shaking with a burning rage.

"Fitz...look at me" Liv cupped his face bringing his head up to her eye level. Fitz stared back at her with no emotion. His eyes welled up; she didn't know what to say. She just held him in her arms. He grunted, then Olivia pulled his head up, and she looked into his eyes, wiping his cheek. "Fitz...you matter to me, you not worthless" he leaned against her chest for a moment, comforted by her sympathetic embrace.

A few seconds later, Fitz pulled away from her, apologizing. "I'm sorry."

"Fitz, this is not your fault you don't owe him anything" Liv gave him a sincere look.

"He has a way of making me feel small; he was all I had growing up," Fitz quivered.

"I know," Liv spoke softly. "Fitz, that isn't love, that isn't admiration," She said as she stroked his brown curls.

"Thank you...for being here" Fitz pulled back, looking at Liv

"I'm here" Liv flashed a smile. She wanted to tell him, but it was the wrong time. "Fitz, don't ever take that bullshit again," Liv blurted out

Earlier this morning.

Melody woke up groggy, and it was still early. No surprise, Jenna was in the kitchen. Since her mother put her back in CC, she's spending her time cooking.

"Have you seen my mom? I thought I'd take her to breakfasts since I ditched her last night." Mellie yawns. The kitchen smelled sweet and appetizing.

"She took your car to run some errands, nice gift tell, Fitz he's doing a good job" Jenna, praised and smiled.

A frightened look covered her face. "What?" Mellie asked incredulously.

"Yeah...she's been gone about an hour now. I asked her to pick up some vanilla extract. Then I found some in the cabinet," she says casually.

"That wasn't my car, he let me drive it, and he wants it back today" Jenna turned around all the way because of the panic in melody's voice.

Thoughts and opinions. The next chapter will detail parent weekend. Like always stay safe, and have a nice night or day.
