10... 9... 8... 7... 6... 5... 4... 3... 2... 1... Countdown is over, so let's get this chapter on the go!

After a minute of walking, Tenma Daytona Romeoford, Eddward "Edd & Double D" Marion Vicente, Edwin "Ed" Horace Hall, Rolf Von Olsson and Shizuka Kasagi, alongside Sally Bollywood and Doowee McAdam, arrives in front of Eddy Skipper McGee's room at the seventh floor to drop the aforementioned boy in his room.

Shizuka then opened the door while Ed and Rolf carried Eddy inside before flopping the boy down on the bed... face first on the pillow. Tenma immediately rushed in and flipped Eddy over before glaring at the lump and the farmer.

"Are you trying to kill Eddy via suffocation?" Tenma chastised and they responded by smiling like a horse.

After that, they left Eddy's room with Shizuka closing the door.

"I'll check on Eddy from time to time." Shizuka volunteered, "It's part of my work to look after everyone in this apartment after all." she reasoned.

Double D nodded in gratitude, "Much appreciated, Miss Shizuka." he replied.

Shizuka giggled in response, "Then I'll see you all later." she expressed before walking off.

Everyone watches Shizuka walk away before Tenma, Ed, Double D and Rolf turned their attentions to Sally and Doowee.

"So, how long have you two been investigating about the 'guys getting found in the dumpsters'?" Tenma asked.

"Quite a while." Sally answered, "Though we are nowhere near in solving this case but we made some progress." she admitted.

"When did all of this started?" Double D inquired.

"A few weeks ago." Sally answered, "Before your friend, three teenage boys were discovered unconscious inside dumpsters in different parts of this city." she explained, "And all of them had bumps at the back of their heads." she added.

"Whoever the culprit is, they've been using the same method in knocking out their victims." Doowee assumed.

"Oh dear..." Double D uttered in concern, "I do hope that none of these gentlemen suffered any long lasting head damage." he expressed.

"Don't worry, they're doing fine." Sally reassured.

"May Rolf and friends obtain the identities of these people you call victims?" Rolf requested.

Doowee checks his notepad, "Youhei Sunohara, Inigo and Cody Emmett Jameson Anderson." he listed off.

"Rolf does not recognized names." Rolf replied.

"Then why did you even asked?!" Tenma exclaimed in disbelief.

"For the readers' curiosity, Ten." Ed answered.

"Shut up, Ed." Tenma uttered.

"But why would someone do such a thing to Eddy and the others?" Double D questioned.

Doowee shrugged his shoulders, "We've been asking the same question ever since." he admitted, "But we did noticed a pattern which led us to a potential suspect." he shared.

"Really?" Tenma uttered in surprise.

"Who?" Ed asked.

"Umi Sonoda." Doowee answered, "A member of an idol group called the Muse." he stated.

Tenma raised an eyebrow while trying to recall the name, "Umi Sonoda..." he uttered when his eyes went wide in surprise, "Isn't she the girl who slapped Eddy earlier today?!" he recalled.

Rolf nodded in response, "Rolf remembers the blue-haired maiden sending the flirty Ed-boy flying to the air." he stated.

"And naked!" Ed added with a big grin.

"What led you to think that Miss Sonoda is responsible for such act?" Double D inquired in surprise.

"Like what Doowee said, we've noticed a pattern." Sally pointed out, "You see, hours before the boys were found inside the dumpsters, witnessed had seen them flirting with Umi and she would often reject them by slapping them hard on the face." she explained.

"So, Eddy wasn't alone in that department." Tenma commented.

"Flirting with Miss Sonoda, getting slapped by her and then finding themselves inside a dumpster." Double D listed off, "That's too peculiar to be considered as a coincidence." he stated.

Doowee nodded in agreement, "Indeed." he said, "Despite that..." he uttered, "... we still can't declare Umi as the culprit due to lack of evidence aside from assumptions, so we had no choice but to continue investigating this case." he admitted.

"Well, good luck with that." Tenma encouraged, "As much as I want to know who attacked Eddy..." he admitted, "... we're still new here and we don't want to get involved to any trouble." he stated.

Sally nodded in response, "That's understandable." she acknowledged, "Don't worry, we'll do everything we can to solve this case!" she reassured, "Let's go, Doowee!" she beckoned.

"See you guys later." Doowee expressed.

Tenma, Double D, Ed and Rolf watches Sally and Doowee walk away until the two disappeared in a corner, Tenma then turned to the rest.

"Do you guys think those two will solve this case?" Tenma questioned.

"Well... they seem serious about it, so I'll put my faith on them." Double D admitted.

"Rolf believes that they'll bring justice to the greedy-Ed boy and the other no-good victims." Rolf expressed.

"And Ed!" Ed cheered.

Tenma sighed in response, "If you say so." he uttered.

"Rolf incline that we head back to the upper platform called the rooftop." Rolf suggested.

Tenma nodded in agreement, "Yeah." he replied, "Might as well tell everyone what happened to Eddy." he stated.

Tenma, Double D, Ed and Rolf then proceeds to make their way back to the rooftop and unbeknownst to them, something weird is about to happen inside Eddy's room.

Inside the aforementioned room, Eddy is sleeping peacefully on his bed despite his loud snoring when all of a sudden a small glowing ball of light slowly descends down from above.

The glowing ball of light then stopped for a minute as it spoke, "Eddy Skipper McGee..." it uttered the boy's name, "... out of your friends, you have been chosen by the Pillars of Justice to become part of our gallery of champions." it stated, "May you use these powers bless upon you in utmost care." it advised before going inside Eddy's chest.

Eddy's body briefly glows for a minute and when the light subsided, Eddy's eyes shot wide open before sitting up while gasping for air.

"What the?!" Eddy squawked in shock before calming himself, he then looks around in confusion, "Huh? How did I get here?" he questioned, "I don't remember going to bed early." he recalled before checking his watch and noticed that it's past eight o'clock, "Ah!" he gasped in shock, "Fuck! I'm super late for the party!" he exclaimed and tried to get off but he felt a stinging sensation at the back of his head, "Ugh! My aching head!" he groaned in pain, "You know? Forget it!" he dismissed, "I'm going back to bed." he declared before laying down and covering himself with a blanket.

Eddy fell asleep one minute later.

Three hours later, the party finally concluded and everyone decided to call it a night and made their way back to their respective rooms to get some rest.

In one hallway of the seventh floor, Koyomi Hare Nanaka is seen walking alongside two girls named Miharu Sena Kanaka and Kirie Kojima. The two picked up Koyomi from the infirmary after learning that Koyomi fainted upon seeing an unconscious boy in a dumpster.

"I understand your fear of men and all, and I've seen you react to ridiculous levels, but fainting over an unconscious boy is really getting me concern." Kirie stated.

"I'm sorry..." Koyomi uttered in apology, "... I just wasn't expecting to see something like that so close." she reasoned.

"It's okay, Koyomi-chan." Miharu reassured, "What's important is that your okay now." she said with a smile.

Kirie crossed her arms, "Still..." she uttered, "... I'm still surprised that you and Kaname-san came a across an unconscious dude in a dumpster." she admitted, "That makes it the fourth time in a row that someone is discovered in that predicament." she pointed out.

"It's really concerning though..." Miharu uttered in concern, "I wonder why such a person would do something like that." she thought out loud.

"I heard rumors that Umi-san was responsible for this." Kirie shared.

"Umi?" Miharu questioned.

"Umi Sonoda." Kirie answered, "The idol from Muse." she added.

"Oh! Her!" Miharu gasped in realization, "But why would people think that she did that?" she asked in confusion.

"I don't know about the fourth guy but a friend told me that Youhei-san, Inigo-san and Cody-san all flirted with her hours before they were found inside the dumpsters." Kirie explained, "I also heard that she slapped all three of them as a response." she added with a grin.

Koyomi sighed, "I'm very jealous of Umi-san." she admitted, "If only I can slap boys away the way she does." she expressed wishfully.

Miharu chuckled nervously, "I don't think that is something you should be envious to, Koyomi-chan." she reminded.

"That said..." Kirie uttered, "... there are no concrete evidence that points Umi-san as the culprit, so we really shouldn't take those rumors seriously." she stated.

"I guess so." Miharu said in agreement.

The girls were about to approach the front door of Koyomi's room when they came across Double D, whom is about to open the door of his own room, and the very sight of him made Koyomi turn blue in fright.

"Eeek! A boy!" Koyomi shrieked before hiding behind Kirie, "Kirie-san! Punch him! Punch him now!" she cried out in panic.

"Oi! I can't do that!" Kirie exclaimed, "I can't just punch people without any reason!" she stated.

"But you always punch Yukinari-san even though a lot of times he had done nothing wrong!" Koyomi pointed out.

Kirie flustered in response, "No!" she shrieked, "This and that is different!" she reasoned.

Double D raised his hands in defense, "I don't know what's going on but I have done nothing wrong, so please don't lay a hand on me!" he exclaimed in panic.

"I wasn't even planning to!" Kirie squawked.

Miharu chuckled in response, "I'm sorry about that." she apologized, "Koyomi-chan is really bad with boys, so please don't take it seriously on her." she advised.

"She had androphobia?" Double D assumed, "That explains her rather over-the-top reaction when I came across her earlier." he recalled, "Anyway, I understood her situation, so I'll do my best to respect her boundaries." he reassured.

"You'd better." Kirie beckoned before clenching her first, "Or you're gonna get it!" she threatened.

Double D gulped in fear, "Y-Y-Yes, ma'am." he stuttered in reply.

"Kirie-chan, don't scare him." Miharu chastised, "Anyway... my name is Miharu Sena Kanaka." she introduced herself, "And these are my friends, Koyomi Hare Nanaka and Kirie Kojima." she then introduced her friends.

"Hey there." Kirie greeted, "Come on, Koyomi..." she beckoned, "... at least say 'hi' to your new neighbor." she reasoned.

"H-Hello..." Koyomi squeaked.

"Please to meet you all." Double D greeted back, "My name is Eddward Marion Vicente." he introduced himself, "My name had two Ds which why my friends call me, Double D." he shared.

"Good thing you told me the reason behind your nickname or I would have punched you right now." Kirie stated.

Double D raised an eyebrow, "What do you mean by t-" he was about to ask when his eyes widen in realization, "Oh dear lord!" he exclaimed in horror.

"Woah, woah! Calm down!" Kirie beckoned, "Don't freak out!" she advised, "Weird nickname aside, I understand the reason behind it." she stated which made the sock-wearing boy sigh in relief, "Still..." she uttered, "... can't you come up with a better nickname." she pointed out, "Like Edd or something." she exampled.

"Well, I do sometimes get called Edd." Double D admitted, "But I had two friends that shares the word 'Ed' in our names and one of them is literally nicknamed 'Ed', so I've been called Double D instead to avoid confusion." he explained.

"That explains things." Kirie acknowledged.

"Wow! Having the same name with your friends is kinda rare." Miharu commented in awe.

Double D chuckled, "I guess so." he admitted before turning to Koyomi, "Miss Koyomi, I understand that your afraid me and don't trust because I'm the opposite gender but please take my word that I truly will respect your boundaries." he said, "I don't want to force anything but if you need assistance, I don't mind lending you a hand some times." he offered with a smile.

Koyomi kept quiet but Kirie nudged her a bit, "O-Okay..." she replied with a soft voice.

Double D smiled, "That's all I need to hear." he acknowledged.

Later that night inside the Corona House where everyone are fast asleep with every lights are out except the ones in the hallways. Outside at the front lawn of the 'apartment', Tenma is seen walking down the steps with a carton of milk in hand.

Tenma isn't tired and sleepy, so he decided to get some fresh air.

"Dude... it's just our first day here and a lot already happened." Tenma uttered to himself, "I know I came to this city to find my origins and the woman who left me in the orphanage but with how big this place is, I think it will take me some time to get some answers." he stated before shrugging his shoulders, "Oh well..." he conceded, "Might as well take things so slow." he said, "Getting hasty will do me no good." he admitted.

Tenma looks around and noticed how empty the streets are at this time of the night, he shook his head in amusement and was about to take a drink when he noticed something from the corner of his eye.

Tenma slowly turned his head and saw a young man sprinting towards him, the normie narrowed his eyes for a minute when his eyes widen in horror upon seeing the guy's features.

The young man, Jeff the Killer, had a ghastly appearance with bloodshot eyes and a carved mouth.

Primal fear had taken over Tenma as he could only take a few steps back while staring at Jeff come towards him. He had no idea what's going on but the way Jeff looks and the fact that he is running full speed, Tenma assumed that Jeff had the intention of hurting him. Despite his ability to cast magic, Tenma doesn't know any defensive spells and he doesn't have skills for combat either, so he is in a complete disadvantage at the moment.

But much to his shock and confusion, Jeff swerve at the last moment and ran towards a different direction before disappearing at a corner. And while he is relieved that Jeff didn't harm him or anything, he is still confused what the deal is.

Tenma unconsciously turned his head to his right where he saw a girl, Himiko Toga, staring at him from behind a window with a rather creepy smile to which startled him so much that he nearly fell on his ass.

Himiko giggled in response while sliding an index finger across her neck, doing the throat-slitting gesture before stepping backwards from the window and then disappearing from sight.

Tenma is shaking like a leaf, sweat pouring down his forehead while breathing heavily in fear, confusion and disbelief.

"Hey you!" a voice called out.

Tenma turns around in shock, "Aaah!" he shrieked in fright.

Standing in front of him is a girl named Yui Kotegawa, whom flinched in response after hearing his short shriek, "Hey now!" she yelped, "I understand that you're surprised but your reaction is uncalled for!" she chastised.

"S-Sorry about that..." Tenma stuttered in apology, "I-I'm kind of a n-nervous wreck at the m-moment..." he reasoned.

"What are you doing here outside of this apartment?" Yui questioned.

"I-I can't sleep, so I decided to get some fresh air." Tenma replied.

Yui nodded, "I see." she acknowledged, "Anyway, I suggest that you head back inside..." she beckoned, "... things can be pretty dangerous here in this time of the night." she stated.

"What about you?" Tenma asked.

"I'm a member of the City Saint's Academy Disciplinary Committee and the authorities had asked for our assistance in patrolling these streets." Yui explained, "So don't worry, I know what I'm doing." she reassured.

"I-I see..." Tenma uttered.

"Anyway, you should head back inside and get some sleep." Yui advised.

Tenma saluted in response, "Yes, ma'am!" he complied before rushing back inside the apartment and he was going so fast that he has no idea that he is making loud footsteps.

Yui raised an eyebrow, "What's up with that guy?" she questioned in disbelief.

Back inside the apartment, Tenma kept on running with thunderous footsteps and with his mind clouded in fear and confusion, he had no idea that the others tenants are woken up by his actions.

Three doors opened from one hallway as Naruto Uzumaki, Ichigo Kurosaki and Ryuuko Matoi peeked their heads out.

"What the fuck was that?" Naruto asked.

"Someone is running in the halls." Ichigo answered.

"What kind of idiot would run in the halls in this time of the night?!" Ryuuko exclaimed in annoyance.
