Centipede Partners offices
"Why won't he see me anymore. I know he's lying. What did I do wrong?" Cried Ralph into his mother's arms. It was rare his EQ was that prevalent. Dispite his young age Ralph rarely cried about anything.
Toby sighed realising he could no longer wait until the end of the day to tell the team. Making a decision he motioned for the mother and son to follow him back to the office. Shutting and locking the door he took a deep breath to prepare himself.
"Ralph I'm going to tell you what's going on, but I'm going to make it clear first what is happening isn't normal or healthy ok?" Toby announced in his therapy voice. Ralph whispered a stuttered "ok" while Paige rolled her eyes. 'Nothing ever was normal or healthy with Walter' she though angerily 'and now he's hurting my Son'.
"Walter is in a bad relationship with a bad woman.." Toby said much to Paige's suprise "She's been hurting him and he's afraid that if she meets you she'll get jealous and hurt you too- he's trying to protect you"
Ralph's eyes got wider and sader (if that were possible) and he looked towards Toby for answers "If she's hurting him why doesn't he leave?" He asked. If only it were that simple. Toby looked towards Paige and sighed "Now its important to not blame your mum for this but...Cabe says she looks just like your mum. My theory is that he misses her so much he'd rather take the abuse to hold onto a image of her then to be alone"
Paige couldn't take it. Grabbing hold of Toby's trashcan she threw up violent, pale and shaking. Once Ralph had gotten over his shock he glared at his mother "I HATE YOU! YOU'RE THE REASON HE'S IN PAIN! YOU'RE THE REASON I CANT SEE MY DAD!" He screamed tears rolling down his cheeks as he slammed the door.
Toby winced. He didn't want to bring up Amber's appearence but he knew the second he left Ralph would look into her. It'd be worse if they'd left it a suprise. He was worried about Paige. She'd lost all colour and now that she'd stopped throwing up she appeared to be frozen in place. He knew she was blaming herself. She'd been regretting her actions since that night and hiding away. Telling the others would have to wait, he had a paitient to deal with.
The Loft
Walter winced as he opened his eyes. He was used to getting up before the sun rised but it was safer now to arise later. The less hours in the day the less he displeased her. Logically her knew he should listen to Cabe to have her arrested or just leave her. He just couldn't bring himself to, especially after last night.
She'd approached him in the morning with a photo of the old team, she'd have to be blind not to recognise the similarities between her and Paige. His eyes filled with tears "I don't want to talk about it" he whispered before leaving the room. Ordinarily she would've gone after him screaming and throwing things but she'd left him all day. Something she rarely did. But oh when she returned.
She'd clearly got extensions and had gotten her hair dyed to match but he wouldn't have noticed if she wasn't wearing the same clothes she had that morning.
She was as rough as ever when they had sex but now Walter barely noticed the pain. The harsh rubbing of the ropes against his skin and the bloody cuts from her teeth and nails barely registering in his mind. As he watched her face and hair he lost himself in memories of another woman, so alike in looks, riding him.
The Garage
It was a trap. He knew it from the second she'd walked in looking like that, but when she end up hurting him anyway he was willing to fall into her trap and accept any punishment she dolled out. He feared her but he loved the woman she resembled. He knew it was toxic on both sides but he couldn't find it in him to end it. When she began screaming at him he allowed himself to drift off into the rabbit hole. It was safer there-he wouldn't feel the pain as much. She began yelling that he loved that woman from the picture more then him. In the back of his mind he registered the question and responded without thinking of the consequences. "Yes"
She flung the coffee maker- followed by the full freshly made pot at his head. As he fell to the ground (skin bruised, bleeding and burning) all he managed to think was 'That's a new one' before loosing consciousness.
Amber kicked him once in a poor effort to make sure he wasn't dead. Kneeling down she put her hands into his pockets and pulled out his car keys and wallet. "Sleep well my love" she said kissing him on his lips before walking away. She'd be back when he awoke. She always was.
A/N ok I lied. I know I said permission would be next but I realised this one only needed a couple of sentences to complete the chapter- bad cat! Lol x love your reviews please keep them coming x much love x
