Judan: More like they're both ugly.
Ainvel: That was uncalled for.
Tanjiro: So was trying to kill all of us!
Ainvel: Semantics.
Argentum: And since I can't think of anything else to say... Tanjiro! You will start the chapter off today!
Tanjiro: Okay. Ahem… We here at the Dark Guard productions own nothing but oc's and reality building concepts. Everything else belongs to their original owners. Now without further ado…

Chapter Forty Five: Special third Person Chapter! Chapter Eight! Mugen Train part Four! The Finale!
Tanjiro looked on in pure confusion. Wait a minute… weren't they working together? Why does Ainvel seem so afraid now? Watching warily he hesitantly deactivated his mark to watch, albeit he didn't lower his guard. He wasn't optimistic enough to just assume the two would try and kill each other. Looking over he took a quick glance at his friends. All of them besides Nezuko who was now healing them were in bad condition. If a fight does break out between us and them… I just hope it doesn't come down to that.
With the two abyssal natives however things were getting tense. "Oh? You didn't know you say? Heh… always were a fool weren't you sound bringer?" That seemed to snap Ainvel out of his fear, for his eyes widened before they narrowed with a growl.
"You… you did not just call me that! You insolent little brat!" Val'gin laughed and Ainvel walked up to him and grabbed his coat collar. "I know you know how insulting it is to us Darkwraith to be addressed in a modern language!"
Still smirking Val'gin grabbed Ainvel's arm. "Oh I know, but seeing how you're the second weakest of all your brother and sisters… well at least out of those alive. I thought it would be appropriate." Increasing his grip on Ainvel's arm a snap was heard. "You should still let go of me though." Pulling back his arm Ainvel yelled in pain as he clutched the now broken bone. "Aww… did that hurt?" Those watching were now ninety percent sure this would now come down to a fight.
They were right, though the language used devolved into one they couldn't understand. "Okay that's it! I don't care about my older brothers now! You've disrespected me for the last time Val'gin! Or should I say, Arth-" He was literally cut off by Val'gin slashing at his mouth. Spitting out blood he looked at Val'gin's eyes. They were filled with absolute hatred.
"Never… call me by that name." As his mouth healed Ainvel smiled.
"Touched a nerve did I?" Val'gin's response was to enter a fighting stance, smirking Ainvel reverted back to Japanese. "Heh guess we're doing this now!" Jumping back Ainvel snapped his fingers; the resulting soundwave forced everyone to cover their ears. Though Val'gin only winced as he jumped back, an enormous crater forming where he once stood. "Sound! Isn't it such a wondrous thing?! I wonder if you'll be able to survive a few more decibels!" Val'gin had to admit that sound manipulation was a very impressive power. However he knew Ainvel could only raise the volume so much.
Smirking he rushed forward with speeds surpassing lightning. Rushing behind the Darkwraith and taking a swing. Ducking Ainvel clapped his hands, sending a soundwave that skimmed the ground around him. Pushing Val'gin back as he did his best to keep his eardrums intact. Swinging his blade he sent a crescent red blade of energy at Ainvel. To counter Ainvel slashed his hand sending a thin blade of sound at the attack. The two collided in an explosion as Val'gin rushed forward. With speeds he's never shown, Val'gin cut off Ainvel's right arm.
"ARGH! Bastard!" As Ainvel was about to snap his left fingers he realized that he couldn't. Looking down he saw them missing as Val'gin sliced them off as well. Gritting his teeth Ainvel whistled, narrowing his eyes Val'gin dodged as the ground underneath him shattered like glass. Pointing his left pointer fingers at the Darkwraith Val'gin used some magic.
"Helk!" As he shouted the Abyssal word for bind, chains of black and silver energy shot from his body. Wrapping around Ainvel, as the Darkwraith struggled Val'gin added to the chains. "Neliv!" As soon as the word left his lips the chains began to electrocute Ainvel. As the Darkwraith screamed in pain Val'gin raced forward. "I hope you don't mind losing another life!" He did care for with a shout and a sonic boom, he blew the Abysswalker back again. "That is starting to really annoy me!"
Ainvel grinned as he used a microscopic blade of sound to cut through his chains. "Just deal with it! You'll be bleeding from your ears soon enough!" With a roar he shouted out a blast of sound, creating a stripped section of land as Val'gin jumped away. As they clashed again with a burst of speed some of the others had begun waking up. As he woke up Zenitsu looked up, wondering just what was going on. Though yelled out in panic as a shock wave barely passed over him.
Seeing Zenitsu awake Tanjiro turned to him. "Zenitsu! Are you alright?" Turning to his friend and possible future brother in law, Zenitsu nodded.
"Yeah, though my legs are incredible sore. Can barely move them right now." Tanjiro nodded as he turned back to the fight, sweat dripping down the side of his head. "What's going on over there?"
Grimacing Tanjiro did his best to answer. "The only thing I've figured out is that Ainvel, the one who attacked us, wasn't supposed to be here. So Val'gin is currently "punishing" him or something. Wish Nii San was conscious, least he'd be able to provide more insight." Zenitsu nodded as he slowly stood up.
"Any idea on what we should do?" Tanjiro sighed as he lowered his borrowed sword.
"Probably best to grab everyone and group back up as we wait. If we're lucky they'll just kill one another." It was the best outcome for everyone there. As Zenitsu agreed, Tanjiro made his way over to Kanao and the others. Zenitsu following closely to him. As they made it over to where Nezuko was healing the other's the yellow boy smiled.
"Good to see you're alright Nezuko Chan." She only had enough spilt focus left to smile lightly at him before going back to healing. Standing in front of them was Eris and Kyojuro; both did not look to be in good shape. Just one thing after the other this night. Gritting his teeth he clenched his hands. Dammit! And here I thought I was getting strong! These thoughts made him remember his brother disciple Kaigaku, how he always berated Zenitsu for being weak. Seeing this from the corner of her eye, Nezuko frowned in worry. Wondering just what was going through the blonde's head.
Tanjiro after making sure Kanao was alright was relieved to see she was just sleeping. "Thank Kami…" Steeling himself Tanjiro then walked up to Kyojuro and Eris. "Are you two doing ok?"
Kyojuro smirked and gave the sun breather a thumb's up. "Though I've been in better condition I shall live! And in the end that is truly all that matters. Though even I will admit a fist through the gut was the closest I've ever come to dying." Eris nodded at that as she continued watching the fight.
"Yeah that worried the lot of us. As for myself I honestly want curl up into a ball and take a nap. But since I'm not a lazy useless certain blue person. I can still go for a bit longer if need be." Though curious about whom this blue person was, Tanjiro nodded before turning back to the fight. It was starting to really heat up, and now nobody to keep track of their movement. Though having focused so much on speed, Zenitsu was able to catch glimpses of the fight.
As his audience watched Val'gin smirked to himself. Yes! Watch and understand the difference between us! His smirk grew larger as Ainvel's arm convulsed as he sent out another sound wave. "Looks as if you're hitting your limit! That's what you get for purely focusing on ways to heal yourself! If you actually focused on your strength then we might've had a proper fight."
Ainvel growled as he held his left arm in pain. "Like you? If I remember correctly you joined me on a few expeditions. You certainly seem to enjoy regenerating your limbs same as I." Val'gin frowned having had to give this round to Ainvel. "Besides! You're just an Abysswalker! Your power is only as great as my brothers! Even then it's only a fraction of what they can actually do. You'll never match them!" Pausing in his steps Val'gin sighed.
"You just had to go there didn't you?" Tensing his whole body, sickly purple energy seemed to sprout from his very being. The malevolent energy washed over the entire area, forcing Zenitsu and Nezuko to their knees. Even Kyojuro seemed to be affected, though thanks to his experience in combat was able to stay standing. Tanjiro was also barely able to stand, but it was mostly thanks to his new physiology. Ainvel however was now backing up in fear.
"How? How did my brothers get this-" He was cut off as Val'gin zipped forward and ripped his head off. "Strong…" Crushing the head in his hands Val'gin sighed as he shook off the blood and brain matter from his hand. As Ainvel's body fell over it seemed to turn into some sort of dark purple liquid. After a moment the remains of his head also turned into the same substance. As the two collided it vanished before a distortion in the air appeared where his body was.
A few seconds later Ainvel seemingly appeared from it, reverting back to abyssal as he spoke. "You… you actually killed me… You killed me! You lit-" He was once again interrupted as Val'gin grabbed his neck.
"I was told to take another of your remaining resurrections before bringing you in. For let's just say my masters, your brothers, have a few things to say to you." Struggling even harder at that point, Ainvel turned towards those he just tried to kill. His eyes pleading for their help, however they didn't dare interfere. "Oh don't look to them for help. Speaking of which." Turning to them Val'gin gave a salute and a smug grin. "Thank you for your help, never would've found him without you all forcing him to reveal more of his power. For that I thank you, and reward you by not killing you all in a blind rage. I'm still sore about the collapsing mine, even if I admit it was clever."
The Kamaboko squad could only grimace as the Abysswalker created a portal, and walked through it with his prisoner. After a moment those who were standing fell to their knees in exhaustion. After a moment Kyojuro laughed in relief.
"HAHAHA! Well seems as if luck hasn't abandoned us just yet!" No one could argue with that, not that they had any strength left to argue with. No that was spent just looking at Kyojuro as if he were an alien.
Just how can he have that much energy left?! As they all thought something along those lines the flame Hashira continued laughing. Indeed a bigger mystery there never was.
I have captured this prisoner, and will now take them to line break prison!
Clean up for what would be known as the demon train incident would take around a week. However everyone involved were more relived that despite some close calls, and some really big boo boos. No one had died, though a nearly mummified Michael was wishing he were dead. If only because of how his two girls were treating him right now.
"Say Ahh~." As he was literally spoon fed some rice by Cassandra he sighed. According to Shinobu, Mukago, and Tamayo, whatever he did to increase his strength severely harmed his body. They said it would get easier on him in time, but with how he pushed past his limits. Well even magic didn't speed up his recovery to drastically. Looking around one could also see Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Kyojuro, and Genya all in the same boat as himself. Each there to make sure they didn't do anything stupid as they recovered. Though Kanao was keeping an eye on Tanjiro, Nezuko was doing the same with Zenitsu, and Mukago had Kyojuro.
Genya was being watched by the butterfly girls. Said his big brother feeling made him welcoming. Genya could only blush as he let them take care of him. Though surprisingly Inosuke was the only one still doing missions. Yeah everyone was surprised to learn he had taken the least amount of damage. Even Cassandra and Eris had somehow taken more damage. Sighing Michael took the offered food, chewed it, and spoke up to everyone.
"So… seeing how we have been mostly recovering, and the only time we talked about what had happened was with Oyakata Sama. Anyone have any thoughts now that we've settled for a bit? Cause the only thing I can think about is how easily we were all beaten to a pulp."
Sighing Genya was actually the first to respond. "Honestly as much as I hate to admit it. I need to go back to training with Himejima Sama. That and learn whatever you all were doing." Michael nodded at that, for despite their bad first impression. He had ended up liking Genya, definitely much more than his older brother.
"Well I'll give ya some instructions later. Maybe you and Himejima San can learn?" Genya nodded at that as Kyojuro laughed.
"I'm sure he'd enjoy something new to learn! Gyomei San has already reached the limit of his physical strength. So something that can boost him further will just make him even stronger! And he's already the strongest Hashira!" Eris couldn't help but comment on that.
"Technically since he doesn't have the mark, doesn't that make him the third right now? With Michael being the first, and you being the second at the moment?" That actually got Kyojuro to pause and think on that for a moment.
"Huh, didn't think of it that way. Though once he does gain the mark he'll shoot right past me. Whether or not he surpassed Michael again is yet to be seen." He then looked at his former Tsuguko. "Speaking of which! What were you using to get so much stronger?"
As everyone turned to the dragon he sighed before answering. "Well as it turns out that power I thought I had before wasn't internal strength. Instead it was me instinctually absorbing some kind of dimensional energy. Haven't mastered it yet, and without my blood being fully awakened I can only take in a bit. Pushing myself past that will result in my current condition." Humming in thought Tanjiro asked another question.
"Think Kanao and I would be able to learn how to do that?" His answer was a shrug from his older brother figure. "I see, guess we're still in experimental waters as they say." After a moment Genya turned to the three dragons.
"That reminds me… what are you people?! Because with all you've said, I doubt you're human! And that's coming from a guy who eats demons!" After a few awkward moments of silence Cassandra spoke up.
"I find it strange how you did not pay me any attention to not being human. Seeing how I am the one with pointed ears." Blinking Genya pursed his lips as he saw the elf's ears. "Since I do not wish Michael Kun to strain himself. I shalt tell our story." And tell it she did, though Michael couldn't help but put a pillow over his head in embarrassment during some part of her retelling. Once finished Genya stewed on what he now knew, even the butterfly girls were thinking on the story.
As they thought Kyojuro turned to Michael. "Speaking of dragons and everything involving them! I've come to a decision!" Everyone turned to him and Michael felt a pit form in his stomach. "I've decided to accept becoming a Dragonknight! However I do this tentatively! Choosing only to do so because I am worried that the demon slayer mark will turn me into a demon soon. And though I have faith in myself resisting any new demonic instincts. I do not wish Muzan to have access to my mind, even if that would be only for a mere moment. As a senior Hashira I simply know too much, I will also admit that I'm worried that I'd become the same as this Kokushibo that you've all encountered. If he really was a demon slayer before gaining that mark… then I wish to take any necessary percautions."
Everyone turned to Michael as he looked down at his lap. "If that is what you wish, then who am I to deny you? I just wish I didn't have to take precautions like this in the first place." Kyojuro nodded before smiling warmly at his student.
"I understand, but fret not! I've thought this through very carefully. Questioning every last bit of information we've been given. I am quite certain they were not lying about the mark. After all! Who would boast about something that could drive an enemy to get stronger? Sure they could've lied about the mark turning those who use it into a demon. However they also know about you! The mere fact that turning to you would strengthen us makes me believe their words. Though if they were lying then I would've taken precautions just in case."
Tanjiro nodded in understanding folding his arms. "Makes sense, I mean I for one believe they were lying. However just in case they weren't this is a necessary precaution." That got everyone in the room to think, and all but Michael quickly agreed it was a good idea. Seeing how there wasn't any way to change Kyojuro's mind Michael simply spoke with a sad smile.
"Alright then, if this is what you want then I shall do it. In fact we can start now…" Seeing the glares from his girls made him clear his throat. "I mean! We can do the change when I'm fully recovered is what I meant to say!" Their glares disappeared with a dual nod.
Zenitsu snickered at this, enjoying how Michael was easily cowed. "Heh, I think it's obvious who's in charge of who in that relationship~." Deciding to mess with him Nezuko leaned in close to his face.
"Zen~it~su~." Turning he saw Nezuko's bright pink eyes twinkling at him.
"Yes! What is it my dear Nezuko Chan~!" As she patted him on the head everyone started laughing.
Realizing what had happened Zenitsu sunk into his bed depressed. "Alright I guess I deserve that one." After a moment Kyojuro said something that irked the first of Michael's dragonknights.
"Haha! I can only hope to find someone someday that I can enjoy such time with myself! Though after becoming a dragonknight that might be difficult, what with the long life and all that." As Mukago's aura turned a bit murderous, everyone but the oblivious Flame Hashira looked at Mukago. "Hmm?" Turning to the twitchy dragonknight Kyojuro raised an eyebrow. "Is something the matter Mukago Chan?"
That seemed to do it and without thinking Mukago smacked the top of his head and huffed. "Baka!" As she left the room Kyojuro held his head in confusion.
"Was it something I said?" Everyone in the room, even the butterfly girls all face palmed at this. Truly if there was one thing the pillar had to work on, it would be his romantic skills. A fact that had become abundantly apparent to everyone in the room.
After a moment Genya decided to be the one to break the news. "Dude… you do realize she's pretty much in love with you right?" Everyone couldn't help but look at Genya in shock. "What? Better to rip the bandage off then let something like this fester." As everyone mulled over his words Kyojuro was looking forward in shock. Unable to quite process what he just heard, however as everyone turned to him he jumped up.
Worry and panic on his face as he started hobbling after the former demoness. "Mukago Chan wait!" Again more face palming, though as soon as they did a certain pink haired individual entered.
"Hey I just saw Kyojuro San hobbling outside the door yelling for Mukago Chan and… What's going on?" As everyone turned to Mitsuri they knew they were going to be in for another headache.
I have captured this prisoner, and will now take them to line break prison!
Argentum: Alright I will be the first to admit that this chapter was rough.
Slayer: Was pretty difficult with all the clashing themes.
Argentum: Ugh… wasn't even that! Had to show off the power scale along with the relationships between different Darkwraith!
Judan: Do not envy you there.
Mukago: Least Kyojuro finally realized what I felt about him. Even if Genya had to outright tell him. Thanks for that by the way.
Genya: No problem. Didn't want another situation with my brother and Shinobu's and Kanao's older sister.
Grel'Slyfer: Okay even I admit that was pretty tragic.
Slayer: I know!
Judan: Not as tragic as Shinobu's phobia of furry creatures.
Slayer: Wait that's a thing?!
Argentum: You didn't know?
Slayer: I thought that was a joke!
Val'gin: It actually isn't.
Ainvel: Wow.
Judan: Yep.
Argentum: Okay… Mukago! Please end this awkward end chapter heading!
Slayer: I thought it was-
Argentum: No!
Mukago: Alright… Ahem… This has been a Dark Guard production now Signing off!
Everyone: Goodbye!
