Chapter 3: Arrival!
A few weeks have passed and Ash has finally arrived in Alto Mare.
He stepped out onto the deck of the ship and leaned against the railing to take in the sights as the ship arrived at its port.
He breathed deeply before letting it out, noting how everything smelled fresh with a hint of salt from the water.
"Welcome to Alto Mare. Please enjoy your stay." said the captain over the sound system.
The raven-haired teen closed his eyes for a brief moment as he turned around before opening them to start walking towards the exit of the ship.
As he stepped off the gangway, he sensed that someone was watching everyone deboard from the ship.
He stopped just off the side of the gangway to see if he could find where they were, but they were running so fast that he knew that he couldn't catch them.
He shrugged before heading towards the Pokemon Center to get a room before exploring the city.
(With Someone)
"Latias! Where are you, Latias?" called a teen while walking through a vast garden and looking around.
She has auburn-colored hair with light brown eyes and was wearing a white beret, a mint green shirt with a white collar, a white skirt, black knee-high socks, and pink shoes.
She stood in the garden and looked around before feeling a giant rush of wind go past her.
She held onto her hat to ensure that it wouldn't go flying before looking in the direction that the wind went.
"Latias, are you playing tricks on me again?" asked the teen, smiling.
The red and white psychic dragon appeared in front of her and looked a little distressed.
"Latias, is something wrong?" asked the teen, petting the dragon on her neck.
The dragon signaled that something had happened before a blue and white psychic dragon appeared out of thin air.
The two dragons communicated and the blue and white dragon was working on calming the red and white one down while the teen stood there, trying to figure out what was going on.
"Latios, Latias, what is going on? Did something happen?" asked the teen, looking at the two dragons.
"Latias found a human that could sense her at the harbor and she's afraid that they will come and steal the Soul Dew by following her, Bianca." said a short, round man coming out of the shadows.
"Grandpa, who would want to do a thing like that?!" asked Bianca, looking at her grandpa.
"There are people who are paid to capture rare items for other people who desire something that should never be messed with." replied Lorenzo, walking over to his granddaughter and the two dragons.
"Then I need to find this person and find out what their true intentions are before anything happens to the Soul Dew!" said Bianca, wanting to protect Latios and Latias as well as the Soul Dew.
"The city is big, Bianca. How are you going to find them?" asked Lorenzo, looking at her.
"Maybe Latias can help me find them in the city." replied Bianca, placing a hand on her chin while looking at Latias.
"I'm not sure that would be a good idea. If that person senses her again, they would be more inclined to follow her back here." said Lorenzo, walking over to the red and white dragon and petting her on the neck.
"Very true. I guess I better start heading towards the harbor to start my search. I'll be back soon." said Bianca, agreeing with her grandfather before heading towards the hidden entrance of the garden.
"Good luck, Bianca." said Lorenzo as he watched her leave the garden.
Latias sadly watched her leave as she wanted to go with her even though she knew it was the right thing to stay in the garden.
(20 Minutes Later)
Bianca had made it to the harbor and noticed that people were boarding a ship that was heading to Goldenrod City.
"I wonder if this is the same ship that Latias saw the person get off of." thought Bianca, thinking about what Latias told them before looking at the ship before changing her gaze to the crowd traveling around the harbor.
She looked around to see if anyone seemed suspicious, but no one stood out to her.
She sighed before walking into the city towards the tourist attractions to see if she could find the person that way.
She wasn't paying too much attention to where she was going as she looked around and accidentally ran into someone.
"Oh, I'm so sorry. I wasn't paying attention to where I was going." said Bianca, being embarrassed.
"No worries. Are you ok?" asked the person, looking slightly down at her.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Are you ok? I didn't hurt you, did I?" asked Bianca, looking the person over.
"I'm fine. It takes a lot to hurt me." replied the person, chuckling a little.
"That's good. I'm sorry, I didn't get your name. My name is Bianca." said Bianca, introducing herself.
"My name's Ash Ketchum. What are you doing out here by yourself?" asked Ash, giving her a small smile.
"I-I was looking for…something to eat, but I couldn't decide where to go. Everything is good around here." replied Bianca, trying not to tell him what her original mission was.
"Really? I was trying to find something to eat too. Want to get dinner together?" asked Ash, still smiling.
"S-sure. This place has really good food." replied Bianca, pointing to a small restaurant while trying to hide her blush.
She found the raven-haired teen cute and felt herself starting to crush on him.
"Sounds great. Let's go." said Ash, motioning for her to go first.
She nodded before walking ahead while trying to keep her head straight from how nice he was being.
They walked into the restaurant and ordered their food before taking it outside to enjoy the nice weather.
They chatted about Alto Mare with the different sights as well as what brought the raven-haired teen to the city.
"Well, I decided to come to Alto Mare to see if a couple of pokemon would be willing to join my team. If they aren't interested in joining, then I'll probably head back home and plan my next journey." said Ash, looking down at his drink before looking at the auburn-haired girl.
Bianca almost spat out her drink as she listened to him as she slowly realized that he was after Latias and Latios.
"Really? That's cool that you're giving them the choice to join your team instead of forcing them." said Bianca after recomposing herself.
"Yeah. That's how I got my entire team. They willingly joined and have fought hard with me in each battle." said Ash, thinking about all of his pokemon.
"That's great. Oh, look at the time. I have to get going, but it was great to meet you, Ash." said Bianca, gathering her trash before getting up.
"It was great to meet you too, Bianca. Maybe we can hang out tomorrow? I heard that the museum is great to go through." said Ash, getting up to throw his trash away.
"That sounds great. The museum is full of the history of Alto Mare." said Bianca, smiling while trying to hold back her blush.
"Cool. Wanna meet around noon tomorrow at the museum?" asked Ash, smiling.
"That works for me. See you then." replied Bianca, smiling before waving as she ran off.
Ash waved after her before heading back to the Pokemon Center to talk with his pokemon about finding Latios and Latias.
(With Bianca)
She ran back to her grandfather's house and hurried inside as she worked on calming herself down from the run and the cute teen that she had developed a crush on.
"You're late, Bianca." said Lorenzo coming out of the kitchen.
"Sorry, Grandpa. I ran into someone and got dinner with them." said Bianca, taking off her shoes and beret.
"Who was it?" asked Lorenzo, curious to see if she had found the person that wanted the Soul Dew.
"A pokemon trainer named Ash Ketchum. He was really nice." replied Bianca, trying hard to hide her blush as she thought about him.
"You mean THE Ash Ketchum? Like the multiple pokemon league champion?" asked Lorenzo, his eyes bugging out at the name as he pulled out a magazine that had the raven-haired teen on the cover.
The auburn-haired teen's jaw dropped when she saw his picture before fainting from knowing that she has developed a huge crush on the famous teen.
Hope you enjoyed Chapter 3! An update...that isn't a year from the last update? Yep, you saw that correctly! I was able to fit in some time to write this chapter today while still putting the finishing touches on getting our wedding together. As of right now, we are 20 days away from the wedding. I am hoping to actually get some time to write the next two chapters so that I can upload the final chapter with another update happening before then. If I can upload the final chapter and maybe the next fic on my wedding day, then those will be my gift to everyone for waiting so long to finish this fic! Also, Happy Easter! See ya later!
