AN: So uh here we go chapter 4. Um this chapter is going to be more filler and character development, The dinner was just kinda an on the go filler thing but don't mind it. Itachi is going to train with and help Naurto on his little adventure, during the training Shisui will make his presence known so look out for that. and other than that this chapter will be kinda all over the place but hey were good so let's get into it! P.S I can't really write that much on the weekdays as I have school and work but on weekends I can get like a chapter or 2 out.

-Training Ground 16-

Naruto had just finished his Lightning Release techniques some time ago and was currently relaxing on his back just thinking about his life.

'I wonder just what the hell am I supposed to do? I mean I have a goal but it's a weak one albeit just merely me wishing to become a good shinobi to make my parents proud but…what else am I supposed to do.' Thought Naruto somewhat confused yet distant tone.

"Quit overthinking things you brat, remember we still have to kill that bastard of an Uchiha that made me attack your pathetic village." Kurama said in an annoyed voice.

'I know but I can't just help but be curious on my take in this world…..but whatever I might as well just take your advice and stay in the present.' Naruto finished in thought.

"Hmph, it would do you good to listen to me more often Ningen." Kurama said with a scoff.

"Tch whatever furball." Naruto said but quickly cut the connection before the fox could continue any further banter.

"Well anyway, I should probably try to start on my Wind Release now…"

Quickly forming 20 shadow clones to work on the C-Rank Jutsus while he meditated.

-5 Hours Later-

"Fūton: Reppūshō!" Naruto shouts while thrusting his hand forward. A giant torrent of wind flowed out of his palm at a relatively fast speed and hit a tree which took a significant chunk out of it.

At the end of the Jutsu Naruto was somewhat panting as he had put too much chakra in the Jutsu and overdid it."Alright, that was easy onto the *pant* next one." Naruto said tiredly.

"Here goes nothing." Naruto said before forming a few hand signs and taking a huge inhale of breath."Fūton: Daitoppa" He shouted while exhaling a huge wave of wind that blew everything out of the way and knocked down a few trees in the process.

Naruto was basically out of chakra at this point and was on the ground gasping for air while slightly smiling at the destructive path his jutsu made."Huh that *pant* went pretty *pant* well for my *pant* first try without *pant* shadow clones." He said.

"Congrats on your measly little jutsu brat." Kurama said mockingly but somewhat congratulatory.

Naruto just took this as a compliment as he knew the fox wasn't good with expressing himself.

"Well thanks anyway Kurama but I'm dead tired so could you fill my reserves up a little bit so I can at least move?" He asked

"Fine whatever brat." He said while flowing some of his chakra through Naruto.

Naruto quickly felt a warm sensation spread through his body as his reserves filled up about halfway as he got up.

'Well, I should probably go home now and read some of fathers notes on Fuinjutsu.' He said in thought while grabbing his things and heading to his apartment.

-Naruto's Apartment-

Naruto had got back around 5 minutes ago and changed clothes to get out of the dirty one previously worn. Quickly hopping into black shorts and a dark grey shirt and grabbed a book on sealing.

It was a level 5 Fuinjutsu book that had stuff from barrier seals to chakra suppression tags and whatnot.

After reading about a quarter of the way through he had decided to get to bed as it was getting late and he had to meet with the Uchiha family tomorrow after classes.

'Huh wonder how that's going to go' Were his thoughts before dozing off into oblivion….

-The Next Day-

To Naruto, it had been another boring day at the Academy as he already knew what was being taught and just wished to leave and train.

He quickly snapped out of his thoughts as the final bell had rung and got up to leave and get ready for the meeting. Heading to his apartment he sighed as he watched the civilians glare at him. 'I wonder will this ever stop, or will I simply just have to deal with it for eternity…' He thought before entering his apartment.

"Hmm what should I wear?" He said while looking through pairs of clothes.

Naruto eventually found a pair of dark blue shorts and a matching shirt with a sleeveless white hoodie, he also wrapped bandages on both shins and applied a kunai holster to the side of his right thigh (Sasuke Pt 1 outfit minus the shirt). His hair remained the same spiky blonde hair with two jaw-length bangs framing his face.

'Seems good enough, well time to go.' And with that, he put on dark blue sandals that went above his ankles.

-Uchiha Compound-

"Satsuki come help me make dinner please!" Said an adult female voice seemingly yelling at stairs.

"Ok Kaa-san!" Satsuki replied from upstairs.

*Knock* *Knock* *Knock*

"Itachi, get the door please." Mikoto said

"Ok Kaa-san." replied a calm voice.

Itachi got up to open the door and as he did he found a small familiar blonde standing at the doorstep.

"Hello Naruto-kun, would you like to come in." He said, getting a nod in response.

Naruto quickly slid off his sandals and walked in. The first thing he noticed was several family portraits of Itachi, Satsuki and a man and woman whom he concluded were their parents. Shrugging, he kept walking with Itachi towards a delicious smell coming from where he assumed was the kitchen.

"Kaa-san, Satsuki-chan, It seems your guest has arrived…" Said Itachi not exactly knowing what to do with him.

"Don't be so weird Itachi." she said in a playful voice. Itachi just got a small tick mark at the comment and went to sit. "Anyway, Hello Naruto-kun my name is Mikoto Uchiha and *gesturing to Itachi and Satsuki* their mother."

"Hello, Mikoto-sama thank you for having me over today." Naruto said with a small bow.

"Oh, no need to be so formal Naruto-kun were all friends here." She said with a slight smile.

'So it seems that I was just overthinking things, well hope this all goes well.' Naruto thought with a smile before conversing with the rest of them.

-30 Minutes Later-

"So Naruto-kun I hear from both of my children that you are very skilled at your age, who taught you."

'Here comes the shock.' Thought Itachi while eating with a sly smile.

"I did Mikoto-san, Though a few books from the library helped quite a bit." Naruto said with a slight smile.

Mikoto had dropped her jaw before picking it back up again, "B-but elemental Jutsu isn't limited to academy students, how did you get the books for those." She said, shocked.

Naruto just looked somewhat sheepish before saying, "I kinda figured if I have enough chakra to perform almost one hundred shadow clones that I could start on elemental manipulation, so I snuck into the chunin side of the library and got the books for each of my affinities."

Mikoto just dropped her chopsticks and looked agape at what the boy said. 'Due to the Nine-Tails he has so much chakra, not even Kushina-chan could make so many. But to make 100 what kind of chakra monster did you two make…. DID HE SAY AFFINITIES AS IN PLURAL…' She yelled in thought.

"Uhh Kaa-san are you ok?" asked Satsuki slightly concerned for her mother.

Mikoto quickly snapped out of her stupor before asking, "You said affinities, how many do you exactly have?"

"Well I have three Lightning is my main with wind and water as my secondaries, I have mostly been training with Wind and Lightning as I haven't got around to doing Water simply because I don't want my brain to melt from all the information I take in due to the Shadow Clones." Naruto said in a slightly proud voice.

'He uses shadow clones to train….Of course, only with his chakra and the Nine-Tails regenerative abilities he would be able to as no normal person could use more than five without the information melting their brain upon receiving it.' Mikoto thought slightly impressed.

Satsuki on the other hand was more vocal after his statement. "YOU HAVE THREE AFFINITIES!" She screamed quite loudly in Naruto's opinion.

Naruto was slightly nursing his ear before stating, "Yes I have three. It's not surprising considering who my pa-." But stop himself before saying anymore but noticed the look of shock upon Mikotos face and a confused Itachi and Satsuki.

"I'm sorry, I should probably get going." Naruto said nervously before getting up and walking away.

"Naruto wait!" Mikoto said before going after him. Never before had they seen their mother so flustered, she looked like she was running after a lost puppy.

-Outside-

'Dammit, I was so caught up in the moment that I almost revealed something I shouldn't have! And to a stranger no less...But what worries me is that she looked like she knew about my parents…'

"Calm down Ningen, It's not like you said anything important, if anything it looked like she already knew.." Kurama stated.

'I know and that's what makes me nervous, if she knows then why didn't the old man tell me after my discovery, it's like no matter what I know I am always left in the shadows on things that I should know..' He said to the fox in thought.

"Well, that is the way of a shinobi, To serve under the shadows and to ask no questions no matter the order. Serving in the shadows simply means living in deceit and lies no matter what, but seeing as you are just a brat you have no clue how hard it is for that old geezer to stay behind that desk." Kurama said before continuing, "I mean that old monkey has been in the seat since I was in my first vessel and that was over 45 years ago."

Naruto just shrugged and said nothing more. He was almost out of the Uchiha compound when he heard a voice calling out his name. He turned around to see Mikoto running towards him with a solemn expression.

"Come with me for a second Naruto." She said in a serious voice.

"Do you know….?" Naruto asked in a suspicious tone.

"About what?" She responded equally.

"You know what I'm talking about!" He snapped in a hushed voice.

Mikoto was somewhat surprised at the anger in his voice but it wasn't directed at her. After a long pause of silence, she broke it with a sigh.

"If it's about your parents we would have to talk about it with the Hokage and not out here…" She said.

"That's fine I just want to know your relation to them is all.."

So with all that said she grabbed his hand and Shunshin'd to the Hokage's office, But missed a pair of black eyes watching them.

'Naruto's parents… How could they be so important to Kaa-san' She thought before leaving the area.

-Hokage's Office-

Hiruzen was just doing his daily paperwork slightly glaring at it but nonetheless doing it. It was then he heard a knock at the door.

"Come In." He said.

His secretary popped her head in "Mikoto-sama and Uzumaki Naruto are here." She said with a sneer towards the latter.

'When will they stop hating that poor boy.' "Aright let them both in." He said.

She nodded and a minute late they both walked in. He looked at them one was slightly angry and the other was confused. There was a small silence between the trio until Mikoto decided to break it with a cough.

"Hokage-sama, I was under the impression he did not know of his parentage." She stated in a no-nonsense voice.

An audible sigh was heard coming from the old Kage as he motioned his ANBU out and started to speak, "In all honesty, I forgot; with the recovery of the Nine-Tails attack and the Civilian Council on my rear it was quite difficult to divulge into personal matters like this. As such it was a surprise when I found a boy bloodied and beaten in an alleyway before waking up and telling me about his parentage." He said grimly ignoring the look of horror on her face.

"I-" She stopped before saying anymore as arguing was pointless now.

Naruto simply took this as his initiative to speak up.

"Old man, I'm simply confused about her relationship to my parents.." He said, confused albeit curious.

*sigh* "She was named your godmother before their death." The Hokage said wearily, eyeing him to see any reaction.

Naruto just snapped his head towards her with a shocked expression and then looked at the Hokage clearly asking for answers.

"Naruto I know you wish to know why I simply didn't hand you over to their care but, the Uchiha Clan was already under suspicion from the attack, and I simply couldn't hand them the container of the Kyuubi as it was seen as giving to much power to a clan." Hiruzen said with a somber tone suggesting he was regretful of his actions.

Naruto was angry, no scratch that he was furious at being denied a family or at least something to protect him from the hate, but that all vanished the moment he saw the look on the old man's face. With a sad sigh, he just nodded before looking at Mikoto.

"So what does this mean now." He said

Mikoto just adopted a thinking pose and thought for a second.

"Well, I suppose I can fill out the role of godmother now what do you think Naruto-kun?" She asked.

Naruto just shuffled somewhat awkwardly and nodded while saying, "I suppose but it's still a bit awkward to suddenly go from being completely alone to having a pseudo-family…"

"That's all right i'll give you time but seeing as you won't be living with us you should acclimate fine."

All she got was a nod of appreciation in response. There was a long pause before Naruto decided to speak up.

"So what now, what about Itachi and Satsuki?" He asked.

"What about them, you can't really tell them about yourself." She said. 'Although I assume Itachi will somehow find out for himself If he doesn't already know.' She finished in thought.

"As much as I like not doing my paperwork, it's time to leave." He said while gesturing his hands towards the door playfully shooing them out.

"Ok well it's getting late, I think I should head home for the time being." Naruto said, rubbing the back of his head with a slight smile.

"No, you are going to finish that dinner you so rudely ran out on!" Mikoto said with an eerie smile and dark aura that reminded Hiruzen of Kushina when she was mad.

With an audible gulp, Naruto nodded quickly. "Y-y-yes Ma'am." He said terrified.

The aura quickly vanished and was replaced with a smile making him sigh in relief.

"Ok let's go then." She said in an impatient voice and grabbed his shoulder to Shunshin him out.

As soon as they left the Shunshin made all his papers fly off his desk.

"DAAAAAMMMMMMMNNNNNNIIIIIIIIIITTTTTT!" Hiruzen shouted at the top of his lungs making the Hokage tower comically shake.

The rest of the night went rather smoothly as they just talked together for a while and ate, but all good things had to come to an end at some point as night quickly arrived. Naruto had said his goodbyes and left with a smile.

The next day went by in a breeze, he trained most of the day and worked on his Wind and Water Release and almost finished the B-Rank Wind Jutsu but otherwise got the 3 Water Jutsu down perfectly and was learning to lower the hand signs for all his Jutsu.

Sunday came quickly as well, he remembered he had a training session with Itachi today and got out of bed to get ready. Getting in the shower he quickly washed himself and got out, putting on a pair of black Anbu pants and a white t-shirt with bandages going from his shoulder to elbow on each arm before putting on black sandals and leaving his apartment.

-Training Ground 16-

Naruto arrived at the designated meeting spot from their last encounter, realizing Itachi had not arrived yet he quickly started to warm up.

Little did he know Itachi had arrived a minute beforehand and was watching him with an interested gaze before jumping down onto the grass clearing; because he noticed Naruto was finished warming up.

Naruto was initially surprised to hear another set of footsteps other than his own but quickly grabbed a kunai from his pouch and threw it extremely fast towards the sound. He turned his head slightly to see an amused Itachi looking at him.

Rubbing the back of his head sheepishly he offered a small apologetic smile at the raven-haired boy.

"I see your senses haven't dulled in the last week.." Itachi said, starting up a conversation.

"I see you have no problem continuing to sneak up on me and scare me." He replied in a deadpan expression.

Itachi just smirked but then closed his eyes and opened them revealing a pair of crimson eyes with 3 separate tomoe-like patterns surrounding a single black dot.

'The Sharingan' Naruto thought before sensing a subtle Genjutsu being placed on him.

"You're going to have to do better than that." Naruto said with a smirk before vanishing in a burst of speed; the Sharingan easily saw through it though.

Itachi quickly grabbed a kunai out just in time to block Naruto's and a clang rang out around the ground. Stepping back slightly Itachi pivoted his foot to attempt to throw Naruto off balance and kick him, but the thought quickly vanished as he heard a poof of smoke in front of him and then heard a quiet but harsh whisper of "Fūton Reppūshō" and quickly dodged several speeding kunai aimed towards his vital points.

Itachi countered with a quick display of hand signs and in his mind said 'Katon Goukakyuu no Jutsu' and inhaled a deep amount of oxygen before exhaling a gigantic fireball.

Naruto saw this fireball and gulped slightly before speeding through his own hand seals and shouting "Suiton Mizurappa" and water gushed out of his mouth in a seemingly out-of-control wave before colliding with the fireball making a hissing noise as mist started to form.

Naruto realized he was at a disadvantage because the Sharingan could see through the mist and quickly weaved signs and at the end whispered: "Fūton Daitoppa" and a large gust of wind removed the mist out of the clearing making his vision come back.

Naruto wearily eyed his surroundings before widening his eyes and turning around to block a kunai from hitting his skull. He then realized Itachi was standing right in front of him! 'How did he get in front of me so fas…. Genjutsu damnit!' Naruto angrily said in thought

Itachi looked at Naruto with an almost unreadable expression if not for the slight smirk on his lips. "It seems as though you cannot break my higher-ranked Genjutsus Naruto-kun." He said bemused.

Naruto quickly regained himself and smirked, slightly confusing Itachi. He held up a half tiger sign and flared his chakra breaking the illusion, Or so he thought as he saw Itachi burst into a flock of crows and started to float as the color of the sky changed to several different colors(1).

Attempting to flare his chakra again only to be silenced by Itachi's voice ringing out, "You are growing, but..You are still too weak."

Naruto just widened his eyes before feeling a chop to the back of his neck and promptly passed out.

Itachi just sighed. 'It still seems he needs help on chakra control, or rather just simply breaking Genjutsu although by no means did I go easy on him. That was an A-ranked Genjutsu, he only managed to break the first level but still…' Itachi just finished in thought before picking up the boy and bringing him towards the Uchiha compound.

Before he could enter his house he heard a loud but cheery voice yell out at him. The voice arrived in front of him with an amused expression on his face.

"Well Itachi, I certainly didn't take you for a kidnapper." The voice said with a chuckle.

Itachi lightly blanched before clearing his throat, "I did not kidnap him, idiot, I was merely sparring with him and knocked him out." Itachi said slightly irradiated.

"Oho the great Itachi Uchiha sparring with a seven-year-old by the looks of it." The voice said bemused.

"If you weren't a shinobi such as your caliber I couldn't stand to be around you, Shisui." Itachi said somewhat jokingly but serious nonetheless.

Shisui just face-faulted at the jab and looked at him in a mock hurt expression. "C'mon Itachi ease up, you're always so uptight and what not. It's not the field ya know." He said, trying to get the emotionless Itachi to crack.

But the conversation quickly paused when they heard a yawn. Naruto rubbed his eyes as he realized he wasn't at the training ground but being carried by someone.

"Where am I?" He asked in a sleepy voice.

"Um I was just walking you back to the Uchiha compound, but it seems you're awake earlier than expected." He said before going in thought 'It seems the Nine-Tails does more than increase chakra'

Naruto quickly looked around and saw an older-looking teen looking at him with an interested gaze making Naruto feel slightly nervous. But that quickly diminished with the older teen's introduction.

"Hiya kid my name is Shisui Uchiha." He introduced himself with a goofy smile.

Naruto just deadpanned at him before introducing himself. "Uh ok, Shisui-san my name is Naruto Uzumaki." He saw a brief flicker of surprise in Shisui's eyes but was quickly replaced with a slight grin.

'So the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki' Shisui thought. "Well anyways how good is he Itachi?" Shisui asked curiously.

Itachi was about to speak but Naruto beat him to it. "How about a spar Shisui-san." He said with a cocky smirk.

Itachi just sighed and flicked him on the forehead, "You idiot don't go challenging people when you're tired, especially when they're your betters." He slightly scolded the blonde.

But it seems Naruto didn't back down and said, "I'm not even tired! You just had to knock me out after you used that stupid Sharingan of yours!" He said, pouting a bit.

Shisui just looked amused at the conversation but then decided to say, "Wait he, a brat got the great Itachi Uchiha to use his Sharingan." He said in a mocking voice, making Itachi annoyed. Shisui could see that and was inwardly smirking. 'Finally, I get to see him riled up.' He thought but it vanished the moment he heard Naruto laugh.

"Why is it so surprising to get him to use the Sharingan, it's your clan's pride I would be worried if you didn't use it." He said laughing but looked at the serious expressions they wore and immediately stopped laughing; albeit awkwardly. "You don't always use it." He stated but it sounded more like a question.

"*sigh* You don't understand as you are not an Uchiha, while it is true that most members tend to pride themselves on awakening the Sharingan but what they don't realize is that pride becomes dependent. When someone becomes too dependent on them they grow arrogant and when that happens well, Death." Itachi said annoyed, which made Naruto wonder 'Just what the hell happened for you to think that way.'

"While Itachi has a rather crude way of explaining it he is correct." Shisui added with a sigh.

"Oh." was all Naruto said but quickly eased the awkwardness and stated confidently, "Now how about the spar eh Shisui-san!"

Itachi just sighed and let go of him making him fall off his back and land quite roughly on the ground.

Naruto just got up and a tick mark appeared on his face. "You jerk! You could have warned me you were going to do that!" Naruto shouted at the older teen.

Both Shisui and surprisingly Itachi started laughing out loud. The laughter lasted for around a minute or two before calming down.

"Well I have to get going I have a mission later, but it was nice meeting you Naruto." Said Shisui with a smile.

"You too as well Shisui-san, but when am I going to get that spar?" Naruto asked, he was excited at the prospect of fighting him.

Shisui just chuckled at the enthusiastic child and said, "I'll try to join one of yours and Itachi's training sessions and spar then, but I have been busy with missions lately so I don't know when that will be."

"Well get ready then Shisui-san because I'm going to beat you into the ground!" Naruto said confidently.

"Hahahahah ok I'll be sure, see ya." Shisui said before using Shunshin to leave but Naruto noticed it wasn't like normal but it was extremely fast. 'It just looked like he vanished without a trace.' He thought before looking at Itachi who just shrugged.

"Well, I suppose I should up my training." Naruto said.

-Ten Minutes Later-

They just started to walk in the house and made lunch for the both of them. Naruto decided that it was time to speak and asked a question, "Say Itachi-san, can you help me with Genjutsu and learn how to properly break them?"

Itachi just smirked and said, "I was wondering when you would ask, yes I will help but I will only be available to do so during our sessions as I have missions as well."

"Thanks a bunch!" Naruto said with a bright smile.

The rest of the day went smoothly as Naruto had left just after lunch and went to his father's house to grab a certain scroll.

-Namikaze Compound-

'Hmmm, where is it?' Naruto thought while browsing through the library.

"Check the non-elemental Jutsu section brat, that yellow-haired monkey was always too organized." Kurama said, yawning.

'Oh, you're up.' He said but mumbled under his breath 'lazy fox' which did not go unheard by said fox.

"Insolent Ningen, how about you get sealed in some boring brat." Kurama said, irritated by the young blonde.

Naruto just gained a slight tick mark and was about to complain but realized the fox cut the connection on him. 'The nerve of the furball! How can he even do that!' He raged in his mind. His anger cut short when he found what he was looking for. He opened the scroll and it read "Shunshin no Jutsu"

'Alright! Time to get to work.' He yelled in thought enthusiastically.

(1)It was the Genjutsu Itachi put on him in canon when giving him the crow that held Shisui's eye.

AN: And that's it. Sorry for being lazy and whatnot by uploading a week later, I was a little sick and annoyed in general soooo yeah. The next chapter will be a month or two timeskip as I already established relationships and whatnot. Itachi will be helping Naruto become stronger and become somewhat of a mentor and Shisui will just be a mutual friend but it will sprout into more of an older brother/younger brother relationship. Well as always feel free to correct any mistakes I might make or things I might forget, Thanks for reading!
