Argentum: Back at it once again. Also on another note poll is completely done, and while a certain option won. I'll instead meet people halfway. If only because I didn't want the poll in the first place. But for some reason! Like with my own poll! You people wanted Tanjiro to also have three girls.

Judan: HA!

Argentum: Shut it…

Judan: Okay.

Argentum: Instead I'll go with the middle option of two. Again while I hold some blame for this, cause I'm choosing to adhere to the poll. I mostly blame you people and Judan. And by you people I mean those who actually voted.

Shadow: Ah the problems of group pressure.

Argentum: Shut up thing of evil!

Shadow: I'm not!- whatever…

Gray: You've come accept that no one will ever not think you're evil?

Shadow: No, I just decided not to argue.

Waver: Fair enough.

Slayer: Don't worry I know you're not evil. Even if I keep saying that you are.

Shadow: Thanks….. I hate you all.

Judan: Ah I hate you too~!

Shadow:….. alright as usual my job is for reviews. In which case I thank you for Apathy Incarnate for you review. Always nice to hear someone likes a chapter.

Argentum: True! Thanks! With that done time to move on. Gray mind if we have your adorable self finish this off for us?

Waver: Adorable?

Argentum: Can you deny it?

Waver: Only sometimes.

Chapter Sixty Two: How I met someone infuriating or… How Tanjiro met someone adorable…

It seemed as if our marks gave our enemies pause as they didn't expect our new speed. "Runes?! No something else!" I smirked at Bazett as I swung at her neck. Taking in her flinching back I changed direction and hit her sternum instead. "Gack!" As spit left her mouth Tanjiro knocked away Gray's scythe with before kicking her middle. She only winced as she was knocked back, however unlike Bazett she slammed her scythe into the ground. Ripping it up but slowing down before using it to launch herself back at Tanjiro.

"Oh come on! Why does every job we do end up leaving a trail of destruction?!" Blocking another strike at his head Tanjiro turned to the man.

"I know right?! Can't go anywhere without them breaking something!" I can't even begin to describe the faces me and the girl made at the two.

""Don't give us those looks!"" Deciding to ignore them both I turned back to Bazett, whom was right up in my face.

"What the-" With a punch to my sternum I was knocked back. "Urk… guess I deserved that..." For the first time in the fight the woman actually smirked. If only for a split moment before her face turned professional again. It was enough for me though. "Hehehheh… I see! You know I never thought I'd find someone like you. A human that can keep up with me. Usually I'm fighting demons, wraiths, robots-"

"Wait robots?" Ignoring the man I continued.

"And those who practice similar techniques as me and Tanjiro. So color me surprised here. Also allow me to apologize. I won't be underestimating you anymore, you've earned my respect enough for me to not do that." She was smiling now as well. But keeping with professionalism didn't say a word. Keeping to my words I teleported in front of her, with eyes wide she punched out at me as I teleported behind her. "Too slow." Doing my best to psych her out I placed my hand near her back and fired off a point blank fireball. Testing her defenses as I tried to figure out how her power worked. I wanted those sigil's that she's using, as well as more information on that spell she's using to strengthen her body outside of them.

I was getting closer as I saw how Bazett created a sigil that blocked my spell, however it wasn't completely successful as her clothes were slightly charred. I see that she's starting to reach the limit of what she can do. As lighting formed around my fist I teleported up. Her speed was impressive as she side jumped out of the way of my lightning bolt. I see, her reaction is enough to at least react before lightning is fired. Teleporting down I swung , blade covered in flames as she jumped back. As I got ready to dash forward Bazett took a breath before slamming her fists together. Hands now glowing brightly with magic as her sigils brightened with power. She was no longer holding back and blitzed in front of me.

"Oh dear." Bringing my sword up I quickly found myself on the back foot. Her speed and strength great enough to push me back. Just what kind of magic is she using!? Each blow of her's felt like Akaza's, and I knew I needed to switch tactics. Stomping on the ground I used my wood magic to make a wall. A wall she easily busted through but it had served its purpose. My next spell was my wood drain magic, the branches of which I strengthened with the magic Bazett was using to strengthen her own body. Well not the sigil magic she was using, but the basic spell that the others also used. As the branches glowed an ominous red Bazett struggled as her strength was sapped and my own reserves increased.

Seeing how she wasn't getting out I turned to her leader. "You know I never quite got your name." Seeing my cocky attitude only made him scowl. "Silent when losing eh? Can respect that enough I suppose. But as you can see victory is mine. So I'd appreciate it if you cooperated."

Taking a long drag he smirked. "Who said she was done?" Looking back to her I saw that she was still struggling.

"The fact that she can't get out?" That's when Tanjiro was thrown into her and my makeshift prison. "Oh…"

"Yeah, sorry but while alone Bazett is one of the greatest enforcers. With my apprentices help she's practically invincible. Good try though." I would've retorted if Bazett didn't blitz me and Tanjiro, grab our necks, spun us around, and then tossed up back into the now nearly collapsed house. Which then promptly collapsed on top of us. "Dammit Bazett! I told you not to kill them!"

"I don't believe something like that could kill them Lord Waver."

"Once more it's Lord El-Melloi the second." Having had enough I used my force spell to get rid of all the debris on top of me and my brother. "Also I guess you were right." As we healed our wounds and wiped off some blood I glared at the three.

"Okay that's it… You all seem to be much stronger than I originally gave you credit for." I grinned as my eyes started glowing brighter and my sclera turned black. "Tanjiro I'll finish this if you don't min- Why is that circle glowing?" I stopped my dimensional surge as we all turned to the magic circle on the ground. The same circle that now had me and Tanjiro's blood on it. "Glowing unknown magic circles are never good! Run!" Funnily enough both Gray and Bazett seemed to agree with my reasoning and ran towards Waver, or El-Melloi. I still didn't quite know.

"He's right Master we need to at least get further away from it!" Instead of listening the man instead took another long drag.

"Unfortunately… running is no longer an option." We all looked at him as he elaborated. "We were only sent to see who was checking out the circles. Our observers caught you two at the last sight you visited. We came here to apprehend you. Now we see that you've activated the summoning circle despite our researchers best efforts. Now trying to either capture, or run from you both is a mute point. I'd say congratulations, but since we're still enemies instead I'll say we surrender for now." All of us couldn't help but look at him as if he grew a second head.

Tanjiro put it best. "Look I'm not one to usually look a gift horse in the mouth, but after the fight we just had. I feel kind of… Disappointed at this outcome." The rest of us agreed funnily enough.

"You'll see what I mean in a moment. You see while I'm confident against just two of you, having those guys join in. No matter who they are, would make the battle impossible for us to win." Bazett and Gray seemed to understand what he was getting at, us two literal foreigners had no idea what he was talking about. So instead I watched the circle with my Lyb'Craeft. What I learned made me giddy.

Accessing an entire worlds library of information? Awesome! Don't mind if I do~! I learned quite a bit from my observations as two figures in light seemed to grow from the circle. Was disappointed that I couldn't see the library anymore, but I got a few interesting things. As the light died down revealing those we summoned Tanjiro asked a good question.

"Why are there now two Gray San's?" Biggest difference were the hair and eye color, but the girl summoned looked almost exactly like Gray. Only more cheerful if her voice was anything to go by.

"HI! Castor Artoria summoned! Are you my master?" Looking over to Waver it looked as if her saw a ghost.

"Saber?" I had no idea who this saber was.

I am the master of servant Linebreak!

There was a bit of silence before the girl smiled cutely. "Nope! I said I'm a castor didn't I? Not one of those stuffy uptight saber versions of myself~." I had no idea what was going on, and the other figure put a hand on my shoulder.

His words did not encourage me. "You'll get used to weird things like this soon enough master." Looking back at the man who was actually almost as tall as myself. I looked at his steel eyes.

"Yeah that doesn't help." The man smirked as he looked forward.

"Not sensing a grail war going on, yet it seems as if you're being attacked. Want me to take care of them master?" Our three opponents took a step back, now nervous of us. I still had no idea what was going on, but this still gave me some ideas.

"I don't think that's necessary… at least not yet." Seeing my smirk the white haired man grimaced. "Instead now that they've surrendered, we can take the time to question them. Also to get some compensation out of them for attacking us without explaining themselves."

The man sighed before muttering something. "Great another Rin…" To the side I saw Tanjiro being absolutely flustered by the blonde green eyed girl.

"You still haven't answered me! Are you my master?! I mean I know you are, but there's a tradition to all of this!" Poor kid was even more clueless than myself. That and a very pretty girl was almost nose to nose to him.

"Kanao might kill him later…" The white haired man raised an eyebrow at my words, coughing into my fist I turned to him. "So, couple of questions. Who are you? Why are you two calling us master? And why do you both look like humans while also not being humans?" My eyes were still on, and they looked more like a mass of human shaped magic with the equations coming off of them.

With a sigh the man rubbed that back of his head. "Well first time being on this side of the fence. But to answer you as who I am. You can call me Archer, and both me and Castor over there are what's known as heroic spirits or servants. We are essentially magical familiar constructs made in the image and memory of a famous individual. You two summoned us and therefore have control over us with the command seals on your hands. Take your left glove off, you should see them there." Doing as he said I noticed a strange purple mark on my hand. "As you can see there are three commands seals that you can use to completely control us. Once you're out we can basically do whatever we want. That's about the gist of it."

It was an information dump, and I still had a lot more questions. Especially since it seemed that Archer left out quite a bit. But before I could ask anything else Tanjiro spoke up.

"Might just be me, but I don't like it." We all turned to him. "If we summoned some sort of creature I'd be more okay with it. But it seems as if you two are living thinking people. Being able to just tell you what to do whenever doesn't exactly sit right with me. We've already met people who abuse power like that, and I really don't want that kind of power." At his words Castor smiled and patted his head.

"While we appreciate the sentiment. It is still better to have them just in case. Not all servants are good individuals and might try to kill the summoner on sight. The seals help with such cases." My little brother nodded as Castor continued. "Another reason is that they have the added bonus of being able to summon us to your side from anywhere. As well as empowering an action. For example you could order me to win a fight and the seal would empower me to do so. Last helpful thing is that you can use it to instantly heal us."

Rubbing is chin as Castor for some reason kept patting his head Tanjiro grunted. "Well when you put it like that, then it seems useful enough… and why are you petting my head?" The girl shrugged.

"Would you believe me if I said your hair is fluffy?"

"Ah, Kanao says something similar." As Castor giggled I turned to Archer.

"Well she's adorable, anyways what's your stick then? Guessing she uses magic and you use Archery? Been meaning to get back into that myself."

The smug look he took on made me want to punch his perfect teeth. "Maybe, maybe not? Just because I'm an Archer doesn't mean I'm not just really good at throwing sticks~."

Surprisingly it was Waver who backed the servant up. "He's got a point! Met a servant who was also an Archer that just fired weapons from portals." For some reason Archer's right eye twitched but he still nodded at the enemy leader.

"See he gets it." He then frowned. "But enough of that, I can feel you both powering us with your own od. No grail supplement at all, yet you both don't seem to be any worse for wear. In fact the amount of prana around you both are astounding!" I had no idea what prana was.

"What's prana and What's od?" Pointing at Tanjiro I gave a firm nod.

"What he asked." Again more incredulous looks from everyone around us. After a moment Archer, Bazett, and Waver sighed in exasperation while Gray stayed silent and Castor giggled.

"How were we losing to the two of you?" Now it was my turn to have my eye twitch. Walking up to me with a smile, holding Tanjiro's hand, Castor patted my shoulder.

"I'll explain later. Just worry about what is happening now." I couldn't help but smile and pat her head. "Hey!" Seeing Tanjiro's smirk she rounded on him. "Oh I see how it is master! I ought a-" She was interrupted by Archer.

He did not sound too happy. "We can play around later. For now we apparently have three threats to our masters in front of us." Everyone took a step back at the gleam in Castor's eye.

"Is that so?" Turning to our now terrified enemies she smiled viciously. "I think I have something that can deal with them~." Thus I then felt bad for them. However Tanjiro took initiative before I could.

"Can we not kill them please? They were just doing their jobs and this whole things is more or less a big misunderstanding. That and both sides here weren't trying to kill one another so…" Moving his hand in a circle as if to prompt Castor to get her mind rolling. The small blonde's green eyes widened in understanding.

"Oh, OH! So sorry master! I was about to obliterate them to! Good thing you stopped me." Our expressions all matched that moment. "What's with those faces?"

I am the master of servant Linebreak!

Ignoring the powder keg that is Castor Artoria, or Artoria Castor. My mind wasn't really paying attention to that. I turned back to Waver.

"Whelp, guess you're our prisoners now. However I do not want to actually take you captive, too much work, so instead you'll rent out some hotel rooms for all of us. Then answer every question I have." He was about to protest when I point my thumb at the blonde. "It's either that or we sick her on you." Castor smiled cutely while waving at them. Thus terrifying them even further.

"Ahem, well seeing how generous you're being, I suppose we have no choice but to take your deal. Despite the death of my wallet…" As he slumped over and started walking away while taking out his wallet I could hear him muttering. "One wasn't enough was it? Seriously what did I ever do in life to deserve this? Just had to be guilt tripped? Couldn't just try and live a quiet life, had to follow his words didn't I?" I had no idea what he was talking about thus ignored his ramblings as I fell into line with the others.

"Sooo, prana and od? What are they? I assume their magic energy, but I've never heard it be called those things before."

Castor smiled warmly before starting her explanation. "First off you need to know that besides those two. There's a third called mana, that's the energy that floats around in the air. Od is the magic energy your magic circuits create within your body. Prana is the localization of both. It can get confusing depending on translation, so they're pretty much used interchangeably. In this instance I was referring to the power both of you were giving off." up ahead Waver backed her up.

"Ain't that the truth. Why people come up with multiple ways to describe the same thing I'll never know." Next to me Archer nodded sagely. "Anyways got guys coming to pick up the group you knocked out. Also got an entire hotel suite floor, along with other people to guard the doors. Told them you're with me now and that you're helping with the investigation. Unfortunately my so called superiors are sending three other people to back us up. No idea who, but they told me they were adequate for the job. My guess is that they want them dead for some reason, but that doesn't really matter to us." At the faces Castor, Tanjiro, and I were making Archer sighed.

"Haa… don't worry about it, inner clock-tower politics are morbidly terrible at the best of times." With a nod and snap of his fingers Waver agreed.

"Mmhmm! Man do I wish I could just stick within my job as a teacher…" The rest of the trip was spent with us walking quietly, well besides the two in the back who seemed to get along rather well. Though it wasn't all bad, I was able to gather a lot of knowledge as Tanjiro and Castor talked magic.

So that spell was called reinforcement eh? And Bazett was using ancient runes… might have to grill her later for those. With a grin I looked at Bazett, who ignored me but still seemed nervous from my gaze. Hey! What can I say? But that I love me some magic. Still do honestly.

"And here we are, try not to wreck anything here please?"

"No promises." Both Waver and Tanjiro glared at me for that quip. "No one appreciates a good joke nowadays eh?" Shaking his head Waver led the way inside. Not long after we were settled on the top floor. "Wow, this place is actually pretty nice." Everyone, even Bazett and Gray nodded in agreement.

Waver instead seemed to die a bit more inside. "Believe me this place wasn't my choice. Instead it was the desires of my little sister, and one of the ones coming to join with us. Please don't ask me why." I was about to do just that but seeing how tired the man look held my tongue. It was also at that moment that I realized I was getting quippier and needed to reign it in. As we settled down and had food made by actual cooks. Things got a bit awkward with Gray constantly staring at a smiling Castor. And it wasn't the look of surprise at seeing a practical doppelganger. It was more like she was trying to burn a hole in Castor with her gaze.

The blonde noticed but not wanting to start anything turned to Waver. "So, what's the dealio here? What's with us being summoned and you guys attacking our masters?" Scratching the back of his head Waver began.

"Well, as you see for the last few months we've been tracking down a rogue Magus. Said Magus has not only been murdering dozens of people, but is also risking the secrecy of the moonlit world. They leave ritual sites, magic circles, runes, and mystic codes around everywhere they go. Beyond that they've been trying to summon servants outside a grail war." Sensing a question he turned to me and Tanjiro. "I'll explain these things properly later. Or you could ask your clearly knowledgeable servant in red there. He seems to know what I'm talking about." Seeing that we were placated he continued. "Our job, that I was volunteered for, is to catch the perpetrator and turn them over to the clock-tower. The tower being the biggest authority for Magus such as I." I still had no idea what he was talking about with being a magus. But I did understand the clock-tower thing.

"I think I'm getting what you're saying. So the reason you ended up attacking us, was because you thought we might be involved with the perpetrators?" He nodded. "Ah! Well in that case I don't mind-" There was a knock at the door. Turning to it a guard opened it up.

"Uh sir they-"

"Yeah move it!" Pushing the poor guy out of the way was a young woman, who brushed one of her twintails out of her face as she walked in. "You need new guards that one didn't let… us. Innn…" Her gaze landed on Archer who looked about ready to panic. He also turned even more pale as the other two walked in. In fact both Castor and Gray were staring at yet another doppelganger. Comparatively the red headed guy who walked in with them looked rather normal. Though his jaw also slightly dropped at the sight of Archer. The doppelgangers gaze went from Archer to Gray to Castor then back to Archer.

Archer's response seemed reasonable at the time. "Oh shit…" Yeah reasonable, because right after chaos was let loose.

"""ARCHER/MES/SABERS?!""" I then had even more questions to say the least.

Argentum: And another chapter done, with another cliffhanger no less. Hope you all enjoy it at least a bit.

Archer: Why must I constantly be tortured?

Slayer: Because of your luck stat?

Archer: God damm-

Judan: HAHAHA!

Castor: This isn't going to end well.

Tanjiro: Yeah, all we need is saber alter to hit the final nail in the coffin.
