AN: Don't really have anything to say at the moment other than like 'hope you enjoy' or some other kind of thing… Uh, anyway i'm hopefully going to capitalize on the up-and-coming Uchiha Clan coup d'etat and their plans and whatnot. "... And I'm saying that ramen is thirty times better than pocky!" A voice shouted.
The person just gained a tick mark, "Pocky is significantly better than Ramen." They replied in a calm voice but you could hear a trace of annoyance seeping through it.
A third person was watching the interaction with an amused smile, 'Who would've thought that Naruto of all people could get Itachi riled up?' He thought while silently chuckling.
"Shisui!" Both Naruto and Itachi said in unison.
'And it was just getting interesting…' Shisui thought with a sigh.
"What?" Asked Shisui.
Itachi was about to speak when Naruto beat him to it. "Which one is better ramen or pocky?" questioned Naruto while spitting out the word pocky like it was some kind of contamination in his mouth.
Shisui was sweating slightly due to the intense glares from the two of them.
"Welll uh you see uh…Look!" Shouted Shisui, pointing behind them.
"Huh?" They both said turning around, only to see nothing. Their heads swung back around to find that Shisui was nowhere in sight.
"That idiot, when I get my hands on him…" Naruto promised silently.
Itachi just narrowed his eyes with the Sharingan active while looking at the small traces of chakra where Shisui once was. 'Stupid Shunshin' Was all Itachi thought whilst glaring at the ground.
They sat in silence before they both heard a hawk screech and Itachi looked up to see it circling around him. 'Mission, but it was my day off…' Thought Itachi.
"It seems I have to go to Naruto-kun. I'll see you some other time." But before Naruto could respond Itachi exploded in a murder of crows.
"*sigh* Time to go train I guess.." Naruto said and used his own shunshin to burst out of sight.
-Hokage's Office-
Itachi landed in the Hokage's office and kneeled down awaiting orders.
"At ease, Itachi." An old commanding voice said.
Itachi just stood up.
"You called for me, Hokage-sama." Itachi questioned but it sounded more like a statement.
"Yes," He said with a sigh before continuing. "I'm conflicted between the tension of the Uchiha Clan and the Police Force's treatment of others."
Itachi held in a flinch but nodded nonetheless.
"Yes, my clan is very bitter due to the suspicion cast upon them from the Nine-Tails attack and their isolation from the village…" Itachi said in a solemn tone.
"I see…" Hiruzen said equally.
"I've tried to come up with several different solutions with Shisui but the clan is… Distancing itself from others and being hostile to those who are not a part of the clan…" Itachi stated.
"What do you think we should do then?" Asked the Third Hokage. While normally frowned upon for kages to ask their subordinates for advice, Hiruzen was genuinely puzzled on what to do with the situation at hand.
"I don't know, they might even go as far as to start a coup…" Said Itachi frustratedly.
Hiruzen just went wide-eyed at the proclamation before hardening his face.
'That cannot happen, a coup d'etat would destroy us(As in the village 'us')! We are still recovering from the Nine-Tails attack and a coup would just lead to more lost lives!' Hiruzen thought extremely anxiously.
"I understand… We must stop the coup at all costs as the result would be catastrophic.." Stated Hiruzen seriously.
Itachi just nodded. "I would like to find a peaceful solution to all of this and I'm sure Shisui feels the same, this revolt could lead the clan to our demise and possibly the villages…" Itachi said with a grim face, irked by the thought of the village being destroyed.
Hiruzen nodded in agreement, "Itachi your mission is to spy and report any actions the Uchiha Clan makes from now on…" Hiruzen was extremely guilty due to him ordering the boy to spy on his own family.
"I see… I understand..Can I clarify with Shisui about this or am I to leave him in the dark as well?" Asked Itachi.
"I will call him in on my own time, until then I want you to keep silent on this and work at your own pace.." Hiruzen stated.
Itachi just nodded in affirmation.
"Dismissed." Hiruzen said, and right as he said that Itachi was gone.
'I'm sorry I have to place such a burden on you Itachi.' Thought Hiruzen saddened by the thought of having a boy betray his own kin.
-With Itachi-
As soon as he left he arrived at the Naka River to clear his thoughts.
'I never thought it would have to go this far… Why must we retaliate…' Itachi thought saddened to no end.
He sat there for a while before getting up and heading to the clan compound.
-Uchiha Compound, Itachi's House-
Itachi opened the door and went up to his room only to hear a voice call him out.
"Itachi, welcome home." A female voice called out.
"Kaa-san." He acknowledged.
"We have a clan meeting tomorrow make sure you show up" She said before turning around towards the kitchen and wandering off in her thoughts.
'Why must we do this… If Fugaku even caught wind of our relation to Naruto he would use him for the coup d'etat… I just *sigh* What would you do Kushina-chan…' She thought before starting to clean.
-With Itachi-
'The clan… Or the village?' Itachi thought, mentally exhausted.
"Itachi." A gruff but commanding voice called out.
"Tou-sama." Itachi started with a small bow.
"Come with me." He said while walking off towards a room.
Itachi just absently nodded.
After a couple of seconds of walking, they arrived at a sliding door to which Fugaku slid open and Itachi spotted his mother with a few clan elders in there as well. They each took their seats with Itachi kneeling in front of them with a bow.
"Itachi," Fugaku started, "Do you know why you are here…" Fugaku asked with a blank face.
"No, Tou-sama." Answered Itachi although if one looked close enough you could see him clenching his fists ever so slightly.
"Itachi… You are a member of the Konoha's ANBU Black Ops,but remember this, you are first and foremost Itachi Uchiha of the Uchiha Clan…" Fugaku stated with pride.
"Hai, but what did you need from me?" Itachi questioned with slight relief.
"You are the pipeline that connects the village to the clan... You are to report any movements or suspicions the Hokage may cast upon us…" Fugaku said while the elders nodded in agreement minus Mikoto.
"I see…" Was all Itachi said before getting up to leave.
-Later-
Mikoto was slightly worried about her eldest son and her husband's order, she had seen one thing in Itachi's eye before he left that no one else noticed, Anger. A burning anger towards his father, towards his clan but from what she could see none of that anger towards anyone but them.
She herself was rather angered by the actions of the clan and her own husband leading it. She wanted nothing to do with this coup and wished to just live peacefully without her family suffering from the greed of the Uchiha Clan.
'I hope Itachi's choice can change the outcome of all this…' Was her last thought before returning her attention towards cooking.
-With Itachi-
Itachi was just aimlessly walking around the village in thought, 'It seems they are already preparing to launch the coup, Damnit!'Thought Itachi, not once had he lost his cool in the midst of anything really, but with the clan's goal and everything else he was slowly losing patience.
While he was in thought, one Shisui Uchiha had got back to the village and had been briefed on the situation and was currently looking for Itachi.
He was just scaling rooftops when he found who he was looking for wandering the village with a scowl etched on his face.
"Itachi…" Not getting a response he decided to screw with him a little, perform a couple of hand signs he blew out a small ball of water hoping to hit Itachi right in the back of the head.
Itachi just lost in thought, when he was snapped out of it when he felt chakra being used in the slightest bit and narrowly dodged a ball of water, turning around to see the culprit grinning like an idiot while rubbing the back of his head.
"It seems I can't ever catch you by surprise," Shisui started while laughing but then got serious, "Come with me we have much to discuss…"
Itachi just nodded and made a half ram sign to Shunshin with Shisui to a more discrete location.
-Unknown Location, w/ Itachi and Shisui-
They arrived in a forest with a river nearby and sat down without a word.
After a few minutes of silence, Shisui decided to break it.
"The clan is dead set on this plan…" He stated.
"Hai… My father and the elders asked me to spy on the village and report anything that they may use against us…" Itachi said solemnly.
"And the Police Force ordered me to keep an eye on you along with the Hokage… But I just can't do that…'' Shisui confessed.
Itachi widened his eyes ever so slightly at the proclamation. 'They would spy on me… Do they know?' Itachi thought.
"If worst comes to worst, I will have to use that." Shisui said seriously.
Itachi just gained a confused look, "Use what?" asked Itachi.
"*sigh* You know of the fourth and final level of the Sharingan, yes?" Shisui questioned but it sounded more like a statement, getting a nod he continued.
"With my Mangekyou Sharingan there is an ability I can cast… It allows me to enter the victim's mind and change their beliefs, choices, and make them do anything I please…Without them ever knowing I made those changes" Shisui informed.
Itachi went wide-eyed but then connected the dots, "But there has to be a price for that kind of power, Shisui." Itachi stated, and gained a nod from Shisui.
"Indeed, with the abilities that this Sharingan gives me it also slowly seals my vision into nothing but darkness… Meaning if I overuse these eyes I will go blind and there is nothing I can do about it…" Said Shisui nervously.
Itachi was again surprised with the information received. "What are all the abilities granted and how does one receive this kind of power?" Itachi questioned carefully.
Shisui just sighed, "You know, even I can't answer that question as there are infinite abilities that it can grant.. But iI can name a few that I have unlocked, the ability I was talking about earlier is the perfect Genjutsu, "Kotoamatsukami". Another is an ethereal warrior made out of pure chakra that is an absolute defense and offense, the "Susanoo"(Tempest God of Valour). He started.
"And the final one that I know of is "Tsukuyomi"(God of the Moon), The Tsukuyomi is a Genjutsu of the highest class only being second to Kotoamatsukami and its abilities are altering the victim's perception of time and can be used to torture the victim in the mind of the user as you have control of everything in that space." Shisui informed Itachi.
'I see… so this is the power our ancestors used…' Itachi thought.
"Anyways I can only use Kotoamatsukami every 5 years and it requires so much chakra that directly after using it, I could immediately pass out from exhaustion," Shisui said.
"But even if I use it there is no guarantee that it will work, if the victim's mind is stronger than mine it can break the hold… And that's not even counting if they have a Mangekyou…" Shisui carefully stated.
"Well that's only an option and conclusion of one of the many outcomes of the plan… Until then let's continue to try to redirect them and the plan…" Itachi reminded Shisui with a hopeful voice.
Shisui just nodded, 'I can only pray we don't have to manipulate the clan simply for peace in the village… If in the event I do die I'm afraid that the clan will be no more…' Shisui thought with a grim expression.
They both fell into silence, after a minute or so they got up, looked at each other, and nodded, disappearing into the vast forest.
-With Naruto-
"GAHH! Just what the hell does this even mean!" He shouted at a scroll.
He looked at the scroll again and just grumbled.
"You know brat, it took that yellow-haired ape several years to even figure out how to understand it." Kurama started with a smirk, trying to rile the boy up.
'Shut up furball, I'd like to see you studying space-time theory.' Naruto retorted.
Kurama just scoffed and went back to sleep not feeling like arguing with a measly human.
Naruto just grinned at the lazy fox.
'So the Hiraishin is a space-time Ninjutsu that utilizes fuinjutsu, in which the seal acts as a beacon that the user can teleport instantly to said beacon…' Naruto repeated in thought.
"Yet if I try to use my father's version I can't sense the marker…" He stated.
He was deep in thought but just sighed and closed the scroll, 'I'm just simply not ready for a Jutsu of this caliber' He thought dissatisfied.
'I mean I did complete the second stage of the Rasengan but the third is rather difficult, but I'm extremely close to getting down… Then I want to be able to form it in an instant as if I were to use it in the field it would just add as a handicap, due to the enemy not giving me the time to complete the technique.' Naruto thought calculatingly.
He hopped out of his chair and grabbed some empty balloons and blew them up.
'It said that to work on the final step, to blow up a balloon and combine the first two steps while maintaining the balloon in its original shape, a sphere.' Naruto recited.
"Well, time to get to work…"
-4 Hours Later-
*pant* *pant* *pant*. Naruto was dead tired from training the last step of the Rasengan, he had gotten relatively close to finishing it but on the last attempt, he got it but… It had imploded on his hand leaving a rather nasty chakra burn; that the fox healed of course.
"I almost had it…." Naruto said, slightly discouraged.
'Hey Kurama, can you fill my reserves?' Naruto asked the fox.
"Dumb brat, im not simply some glorified soldier pill you can toss around and eat whenever you feel the need." He said with a scoff.
'I know, I know it's just… I'm so close to completing this Jutsu…C'mon pleaseee.' Naruto begged.
Kurama just scoffed and flared his chakra throughout his host. Naruto felt a warm sensation flow through his body as the foxes chakra spread throughout him whilst filling up his reserves.
'Thanks!' Naruto said happily
The fox didn't reply but instead settled for a nod and just dozed off.
'Lazy bastard.' Was all Naruto said before returning to the Rasengan training.
After about an hour of repeating what he did the first time he had gotten it down but it still took him several seconds to form it with one hand.
'Great now hopefully I can have more control over the lightning dragon I'm trying to make' He thought giddily.
-2 Months Later-
Tensions within the village were extremely high, with the Uchiha Clan and the Hokage.
The coup was said to be planned in around 6 months, which was what the Hokage thought; given the info from Itachi Uchiha.
-Hokage Office-
"Shisui Uchiha, Returning from a mission. Kirigakure has been successfully chased off and they are now fleeing from the Hi no Kuni borders…" Shisui informed.
The Hokage nodded and got the rest of the report from Shisui's squad and dismissed them all except Shisui.
"Hokage-sama, the Uchiha are getting more and more antsy, I… I was hoping that the clan and the village would be able to trust each other again, but it seems it's only getting worse." Shisui said, discouraged.
Hiruzen had nothing to say at the declaration but just settled for silence.
"Shisui, how serious do you think they are?" Questioned the Sandaime Hokage.
"...I can't be for sure but they are pretty dead set on taking the village over and making Fugaku Hokage.." Shisui answered.
Hiruzen just sighed and looked around the village.
"The amount of things I would give simply for the sake of peace… I would gladly sacrifice my life for it… Yet in the end, it will not matter as people no matter what era always conflict each other's visions for the future.." Hiruzen said barely above a whisper.
Shisui nodded in agreement.
"But for the Uchiha to ruin the peace we all sought for… I cannot simply stay on standby, if they continue they will feel the wrath of Konoha!" Hiruzen exclaimed
Shisui just nodded again albeit hesitantly. 'It seems Lord Third wishes to stop the coup d'etat as well but at the cost of the clan…' Thought Shisui nervously.
"I understand the situation I put you and Itachi in Shisui… But it still cannot go without punishment and I assure you that we will still try to stop them but should they go too far…" Hiruzen said letting the threat hang.
"I understand Hokage-sama… I just hope that we can solve this without casualties…" Shisui stated.
"I hope so as well… You know Shisui, you remind me of my old friend Kagami Uchiha…" The Sandaime Hokage whispered.
Shisui just closed his eyes, "I am nowhere near his caliber."
"True but, his will has worked itself into you." Hiruzen said.
"Thank you, Hokage-sama." Shisui acknowledged.
The Hokage just nodded and dismissed Shisui.
'I can only hope for no bloodshed on either side…' Hiruzen thought with a grim expression.
-With Shisui-
'I will have to use Kotoamatsukami, Heh Itachi will probably get mad that I'm doing this without him.' Shisui thought.
Shisui just kept walking towards the Uchiha Compound but felt a presence stalking behind him.
After a couple of minutes of him still being followed he flicked a kunai out of his pouch and threw it at high speeds.
He heard a clang which only meant there was another ninja. Shisui readied himself for a confrontation and grabbed the hilt of his tanto.
Two shinobi emerged from the shadows and both were wearing a black hooded cloak with a blank mask that had 'Ne' engraved on it.
Shisui secretly sent out a crow hoping to get Naruto or Itachi.
"Shisui Uchiha, Danzo-sama wishes to see you…" One of the Root Anbu said in a monotone voice.
'Danzo's Anbu, why would he need to see me… I severed all contact with him ages ago…' Thought Shisui apprehensively.
Shisui just nodded and the Anbu grabbed his shoulder and took him to the Root base.
-With Naruto-
'This sucks… No more ramen..' Thought Naruto, crying anime tears.
He sat in his apartment silently sulking at the empty cabinet until he saw a crow.
'Shisui' He thought as his mind went blank remembering a conversation he had with the older teen.
~Flashback,2 Weeks ago~
"Naruto! Come here I need to tell you something!" Shouted Shisui while waving his hands in a come here motion.
Naruto obliged and headed over to where Shisui was.
"What's up?" Questioned Naruto lazily.
Shisui had a serious look on his face which caused Naruto to stand straighter.
"Listen, Itachi and I have a way of communicating through crows and we only use it in a situation that could potentially danger us or the village…" Shisui said seriously, making Naruto nod.
"And when or if I send that crow it will either come to you or Itachi depending on who's available…" Shisui informed.
Naruto merely nodded, "So how will the crow tell me…?" Naruto asked incredulously.
"It uses morse code, it will tap its beak onto a surface and give you the correct corresponding letters and give you a briefing on the situation." Shisui stated.
Naruto went wide-eyed at the prospect of the messenger crow but just settled for a nod.
"But anyway, I might just help you learn to use the crows in the same way Itachi and I use them." Shisui said, making Naruto giddy.
~End Flashback~
Naruto was waiting on the crow to start the sequence. 'Danzo's...Root...Anbu...Follow...Me' Was what the crow said making Naruto go wide-eyed. He quickly put on his gear which included a black face mask, a black shirt with a red swirl on each shoulder, black pants that went just past his shins, and finally the chokuto he had bought a while back.(Think of Kakashi when they fought Kakazu).
He got up put his black sandals on and headed out with the crow.
-Back with Shisui-
"Kotoamatsukami, a visual jutsu that can create false experiences…Such an incredible power, but what a waste to use it merely to stop a coup." Stated an old voice.
Shisui went wide-eyed. 'Just how the hell does he know the name of my Jutsu!'
Shisui just grunted angrily. 'Naruto I should not have dragged you into this, Damnit!'
"If you used your visual Jutsu on the clan… As long as the Uchiha Clan exists. It's highly doubtful that another coup can be avoided," Danzo started, "And even if your plan worked, it is only for this instance. There is no guarantee that the same thing won't happen again, Sooner or later Konoha will have to deal with the Uchiha… If so by exterminating them now!" Danzo exclaimed, making Shisui narrow his eyes with rage.
"Do not worry I will put good use to your eyes!" Danzo shouted before charging at Shisui.
-With Naruto-
'Come on, come on! Where are you!' Shouted Naruto in his head.
Naruto was charging through the forest at a fast rate he saw fighting up ahead but before he could get there a kunai flew at his head making him lose his footing for a second and fall down the tree.
He looked up to be surrounded by several root Anbu. 'Shisui if I die, I'll make sure to haunt you! Naruto said sulking in thought but quickly maintained his stance while eying the enemy.
"So what does Danzo want?" Naruto asked, but got no response, Instead they charged him.
Naruto unsheathed his chokuto and charged at the Anbu.
-With Shisui-
"Aghh,*pant* *pant* *pant*."
"One down." Danzo said.
Shisui grabbed a smoke bomb and headed towards Naruto.
He was rapidly shunshining from tree to tree where he saw a blonde boy with a face mask standing over 3 bodies with blood all over him.
"Naruto! Hey, are you okay!" Shisui shouted at the boy, but upon seeing the empty look in his eye realized what happened.
"I see…" Shisui said.
"It's okay… I just need a second.." Naruto said blankly.
Shisui just gained a sympathetic look before Widening his lone eye. His eye pulsed as several Anbu charged him.
Naruto was shocked upon the massive green chakra being Shisui was making, but upon noticing his eye bleeding, made him worry.
Naruto was observing things a bit more but noticed that Shisui had lost his left eye!
"Shisui...Your eye." Naruto said solemnly.
"Don't worry about me…" Shisui said in a strained voice.
Naruto saw the ethereal being, shoot out pure chakra out of its hand; killing the Anbu.
Shisui looked about done and Naruto took this as his queue to get them out. Putting a hand on his shoulder he Shunshind out of the area and found a tree, putting Shisui up against it.
"Shisui are you ok?" asked Naruto looking at the bleeding eye.
"I...Inhaled something, my vision is getting weaker by the minute and Danzo is probably going to send more-" He couldn't say anymore as he started violently coughing.
"Hey! Shisui!" Naruto had to get in front of Shisui as he heard something flying towards them. It was an explosive kunai, Naruto went wide-eyed and grabbed the dying Shisui and Shunshind out.
Upon arriving he didn't see a lone Root Anbu charging at him.
He set Shisui down only to dodge a kunai slash to the head but his eye wasn't so lucky and it was slashed rendering him blind in his right eye.
"Arghhh, my eye! Why you! Naruto shouted demonically and grabbed the man's wrist, snapping it instantly, making him grunt.
Naruto quickly regained his composure and flicked several kunai at him, only one managed to hit him, but it seems that luck was on his side as it hit him in the left side of the chest, piercing his heart; killing him instantly.
Naruto just sighed but quickly threw a kunai at lightning speed towards a shadow but it was blocked and out came Itachi.
"Itachi…" Both Naruto and Shisui said relieved.
"What happened?" Itachi asked with narrowed eyes.
"Danzo… I was going to use that jutsu… And his Root got to me before I could cast it… The mere fact he knew about it concerns me to no end.." Shisui rasped out.
"Why are you even here Itachi, I thought you had a mission?" Questioned Naruto.
"I had a bad feeling and made it back as quickly as possible… It seems my hunch was correct." He stated with a sad smile.
Itachi then noticed the condition of them both, making him look down in shame.
"Hey… What did I tell you about making that look Itachi." Shisui said, trying to make the situation easier.
To his happiness, Itachi cracked a small smile. "But your eyes, both of you…" He said slightly sad.
Shisui snapped his head towards Naruto and gasped slightly. "You idiot! You're not even a registered ninja! How are you going to approach the Hokage with one eye as an academy student!" Shisui comically berated.
Naruto just sheepishly rubbed his head, "Losing an eye was the cost to keep you alive," Naruto started before gaining a tick mark, "And plus! Who are you to talk about losing an eye, you idiot!"
They all shared a laugh but all good things must come to an end…
"I'm dying…" Stated Shisui with a grim face.
Naruto and Itachi went wide-eyed but before they could ask questions Shisui spoke.
"I have a disease… I've had it for quite a while... The doctors couldn't do anything as it was irreversible… They said I was supposed to die a couple of months ago. I'm already living on borrowed time." Shisui said as Naruto had a sad look whereas Itachi steeled his emotions.
"Why…" Asked Itachi blankly.
"Why what?" Shisui retorted back.
"Why didn't you say anything." Itachi said sadly, while Naruto nodded in agreement.
"I didn't want to needlessly worry about a problem you can't solve… And plus even if I did die, my legacy can live on in someone else…" Shisui said with memories of the talk he had with the Third Hokage.
"What do you mean?" Asked Naruto
Shisui just gave him a smile before plucking out his remaining eye.
"YOU IDIOT WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!" Naruto shouted. Itachi knew exactly what was happening though and chose to keep quiet.
Shisui gave him a bright smile, "I'm giving you my Sharingan..Danzo will probably come after my eye so no one would suspect it to be put in your hands…" Shisui said sadly. Naruto just nodded with a teary smile.
"And Itachi… If things go bad with the Uchiha Clan, Danzo will not hesitate to end them… There is nothing you can do about him without starting a civil war regardless-" He stopped as he started coughing up globs of blood.
"Shisui!" Itachi and Naruto yelled.
"I'm giving you*cough*one final*cough* gift." Shisui said before closing his empty eye sockets and…
Shisui Uchiha, was no more. Itachi just looked blankly at his body before he felt tears surfacing on his face. He went to wipe them away but found that he was crying blood, he then heard Naruto gasp.
"Itachi, why is your Sharingan like that?" Questioned Naruto quietly, although his voice was slightly broken and it looked like he was trying his hardest not to cry.
Itachi pulled out a kunai and looked in the reflection and gasped 'Mangekyou Sharingan' He thought.
"Come, Naruto we have to go." He said softly.
"But, what about Shisui." Naruto whispered sadly.
"Seal his body into a scroll, I'm not having Danzo spit on his wishes." Itachi said glaring at the forest. "We're heading to Hokage, put his Sharingan in your eye, I know a little medical-ninjutsu." Itachi said, 'Not to mention the foxes healing factor' He said in afterthought.
Naruto did as told and took out the remains of his previous eye while plopping in Shisui's Sharingan. 'I swear that no matter what, no one will save you from me, Danzo!' He thought distastefully, apparently, Itachi sensed that when he was in thought and was poked by two fingers in the forehead.
Itachi just looked at him with a sad, knowing face, "I know what you're thinking, but revenge will not make you feel any better."
Naruto just nodded, too physically and mentally exhausted to argue.
As soon as the Sharingan was transplanted Itachi wrapped a bandage around Naruto's head and they nodded to each other and went to the Hokage's office.
-Hokage's Office-
Both arrived outside the door and knocked.
"Come in." Said the Hokage.
He was met with a bloody and exhausted Naruto who looked about ready to break down, as well as Itachi who although was not either was equally exhausted.
"What happened?" Questioned Hiruzen seriously.
Naruto took a scroll and threw it at the Hokage. Hiruzen caught it and opened it to find it was a simple storage scroll. Channeling chakra in it he found the corpse of Shisui Uchiha.
"Who did this!?" Demanded Hiruzen.
Naruto didn't have the energy to speak so Itachi filled him in on what happened.
Naruto sort of blanked out while staring at the corpse of one of his only friends, heck he thought of Shisui as a brother.
"aruto, Naruto!" A voice said, snapping him out of his thoughts, he looked up to see the man he thought of as his grandfather staring at him with a somber face.
"Yes, old man." His voice devoid of any emotion, making Hiruzen flinch slightly.
"*sigh* What exactly happened I can only get so much from Itachi as he wasn't truly there until you had escaped." Hiruzen asked slowly.
Naruto just nodded and began telling him about the crow system with Shisui and Itachi, his first kills, Shisui using a weird Sharingan and summoning forth a giant green humanoid ethereal being, his eye getting slashed, making Hiruzen flinch, and finally Shisui's final gift. The Sandaime Hokage was at a loss of words right now and could only nod.
"I didn't realize Danzo knew of this at all… And to think that he would go so far…" Said Hiruzen with narrowed eyes, 'Danzo, It was a mistake keeping you alive all this time.' He thought angrily.
"I'll do what I can as I don't know where he currently is, if I do find him we will set out several squads to eliminate him and take Shisui's Sharingan back. Until then I'm labeling Shisuis death as a suicide as if it got out that Danzo killed him the Uchiha would definitely retaliate with heavy arms..." Hiruzen informed the two.
Itachi just nodded and Naruto well, He was still staring blankly at Shisui's dead body but eventually nodded.
"Alright, Naruto if you need me come to my office, please let me know if I can help you in any way possible." He said looking at the boy with a kind smile.
Naruto just looked at him then back to Shisui and nodded, disappearing in a lightning shunshin, which shocked both of them(Sorry if that sounded corny lol) as they didn't know he could utilize the shunshin like that.
"That boy will never cease to surprise me…" Hiruzen mumbled.
"That was one of the last things Shisui was helping Naruto-kun on…" Itachi informed Hiruzen whilst staring at the dead body of his best friend.
"You know Itachi things are only going to get worse from here on out…" Hiruzen stated after a short period of silence.
Itachi just nodded in understanding, "The Uchiha will attempt this coup no matter what… Whether they plan to use the Nine-Tails or not is beyond my knowledge but if they do mention anything I will be sure to notify you… I do doubt that they can use the Nine-Tails though as the only Uchiha to do so was Madara himself and that's to say that anyone of this time has a Mangekyou Sharingan…" Itachi listed off while trying to remember any other key info on the meetings he attended.
"I see… This is troubling no matter what… With the Uchiha, Danzo, and even Naruto this village is going to be in a tight spot for a while..." Stated the Third Hokage seriously.
"I'll continue to do as much as I can with the Uchiha clan… We still have six months left before the designated time of the coup…" Itachi replied.
Hiruzen just nodded, "Just keep an eye on Naruto for me will you, you are currently one of the few people he truly trusts.." Asked Hiruzen, gaining a nod of affirmation from the raven-haired teen.
"I will do my best Hokage-sama." Itachi promised sincerely
"Good luck Itachi, I truly am sorry about Shisui, Dismissed." Hiruzen said.
-With Naruto-
'Damnit! Why did you have to go and die! Idiot!' Naruto thought sadly.
A few tears escaped his eyes, he felt the glares of all the villagers as he was walking, he didn't care, all that mattered right now was simply going to his apartment.
Naruto lifted up his hand to touch his right eye, 'No matter what, I will make you proud Shisui…' He thought before walking inside his apartment and falling asleep right as he walked in.
'Interesting brat, I would have thought you'd go on a rampage and kill everyone on sight… I'll keep my eye on you for a bit longer, you might just be the one..' Kurama thought cryptically before going back to sleep.
AN: And that's a wrap holy shit I lowkey had loads of fun writing this. So that basically starts the beginning of the end… Um as for Naruto gaining the Sharingan, I felt as though it was slightly rushed but as I said it was a random thought conspired by Shisui. Him dying though… I'm sorry it needed to happen, but don't worry I don't plan on killing off anyone important for a while...Maybe*Laughs Maniacally*. P.S: For those of you wondering, I will be re-writing a few chapters that sucked IMO.
