"What the hell do you mean, 'let's fight?'" asked Izuku Midoriya. He stood amidst the mountains of trash that littered the surface of Dagobah Municipal Beach Park. "I don't want to fight you, Kacchan."

"I don't care," replied the boy as he began to stretch his quads. "It wasn't a suggestion."

"I-Is that why you gave me your quirk?"

"Yep." He moved into a new stretch.

"Why?! Just for one fight?!"

"I already told you," answered Katsuki. "I want to show you something important."

"And we have to fight to do that?!"

Suddenly, Katsuki charged Izuku, propelling himself forward via the explosions he was emitting behind him. Izuku ducked, watching as the boy flew over him. "I don't understand!" he exclaimed, preparing himself for the next attack.

"Don't worry!" yelled Katsuki. "You will…" He twisted in midair, before repeating his last attack. "After I kick your ass!"

Izuku reeled back his arm as he readied to punch the boy out of the air.

"Too slow!" Bakugou maneuvered himself over and behind Izuku, dodging his swing in the process. He launched a massive explosion into the boy's back, sending him flying. "DIE!"

Izuku fumbled in the air before slamming into a pile of trash. "Damn! This isn't fair!" he exclaimed, summoning small sparks in his hands. "I barely know how to use this quirk!"

"'Isn't fair?'" asked Bakugou. "We literally have the same power! And if anything, this fight's more favored towards you, idiot!"

"What?!"

"You have three quirks, moron! Use them!"

Izuku froze. "C-Can I even do that?" He closed his eyes and thought back to what it was like to use his smoke power and strained. Before long, the thick dark-grey smoke began to rise from his arms once more. "I thought I could only have one at a time!"

"Damn!" he exclaimed. "I never used Yaoyorozu's quirk! I don't think I can switch to something I don't remember the feeling of."

"DIE!" yelled Katsuki, causing Izuku to look up. The boy's hand was inches from his face, an explosion building upon its surface.

"I totally forgot I was in a fight just now!"

The explosion rang out as nothing but smoldering ashes were left in Izuku's place. "D-Deku…?"

"Missed me," whispered Izuku as he slammed Katsuki's head into the ground.

Katsuki scoffed as he placed his palms on the ground, propelling himself into the air and launching Izuku off of him.

"Damn…"

Pointing his feet towards Izuku, Katsuki lifted his hands towards the sky and shot towards his rival at an astonishing speed. He slammed into the sand, sending up a cloud on impact.

Barely managing to jump out of the way, Izuku watched as Katsuki fumbled to stand. "Now!" He pointed his own palms towards Katsuki, launching an explosion of his own.

"DIE!" yelled Katsuki once more as he launched his own explosion of the same level. The two explosions converged, creating a combustion twice the size and twice as strong, sending both of them flying.

Izuku slammed against a fridge, denting it. Meanwhile, Katsuki skidded along the sandy path, opposite his rival. Barely able to breathe, Izuku collapsed face-first onto the beach and fell unconscious.

"I… win…," said Katsuki. "Like… always."

A small distance away, the two boys had failed to notice a pair of eyes watching their whole performance. The figure slurped a jelly drink before making a phone call. "Yeah… I think I found something that might interest you."

"Oh! They're back!" exclaimed Momo Yaoyorozu as she rushed to open the door for Katsuki and Izuku. She swung the door open to reveal a shouting Bakugou and a bruised and battered Izuku.

"What do you mean, I say 'DIE' too much?! How the hell else am I supposed to say it?! 'Pass away?!'" yelled the ash-blonde teen.

"You shouldn't really be saying it at all," thought Izuku, too tired to deal with the boy's shouting after his fight.

"Welcome back, Midoriya-san!" The girl gazed upon Izuku, noticing his bruises and cuts.

"Thanks, Yaoyorozu," said the boy as he entered the home. Bakugou followed, receiving a glare from the girl.

Mitsuki listened from her position at the counter as the boys walked into the kitchen. "So, did you see what you needed to see?" she asked, turning around to face the two. "What the hell, Icchan?! What happened to you?!"

"I kicked his ass," replied Katsuki, standing straighter than ever. He received a swift smack to the back of the head.

"Why the hell would you do that, you stupid brat?!"

Momo listened as Mitsuki tore Katsuki a new one. "I see where those two get their vulgar language from…" Her eyes then drifted towards Izuku, rubbing the back of his head. She gasped, "Midoriya-san! You will not eat the dinner Mitsuki-san and I worked so hard on while looking like that! Get upstairs and clean yourself off this instant!"

Izuku froze. "Y-Yes, ma'am!" He ran up the stairs before shortly returning. "Wait a minute; you don't get to tell me what to do in my own house!"

She glared at the boy, sending a shiver down his spine. "What was that?"

"N-Nothing!" yelled the boy darting back upstairs.

"Great!" exclaimed the girl, looking as chipper as ever. "Now, Katsuki-san, you set the table, and Mitsuki-san…" The woman froze. "Could you show me to Midoriya-san's room?"

"Yes ma'am!" replied the two, standing as stiff as a pair of boards.

Izuku wrapped the towel around his waist as he had finished drying himself off. He approached the door and slid it open, revealing Momo, who was sitting behind it for who knows how long. "Y-Yaoyorozu?!"

The girl handed Izuku the pile of folded clothes that she had found in his room. "Here you are, darling~," she hummed. "Now, come downstairs for dinner. Mitsuki-san and I prepared your favorites!"

A small blush arose on the boy's cheeks. "Wh-What the hell kind of relationship does she think we have?!"

"You mean you can switch between the quirks you drain?!" asked Mitsuki as she handed Izuku a bowl of katsudon. "I thought you could only have one at a time!"

"So did I," said Izuku. "I still don't know how Kacchan knew I could do that…"

Katsuki slurped a mouthful of noodles. "I thought it would be obvious… I mean, it's such a big showcase whenever you drain someone, so I kinda just assumed."

"Oh, so you mean you pulled it out of your ass…," said Izuku, rolling his eyes.

"Don't say such vulgar things at the table, darling!"

"S-Stop calling me that!"

"I will not!"

"Oh," said Izuku, remembering his issue from earlier. "Yaoyorozu… I think I need to drain you again."

The two women froze as Momo's knee hit the underside of the table. "Wh-What?" she asked. "W-w-why w-would you need to do something like t-that?"

"What's with the stutter, ponytail?" asked Katsuki, his mouth full of fried pork. Mitsuki stomped on his toe. "OW!"

"I never used your quirk, so I don't think I'm able to switch back to it."

"H-How about I just tell you how it works, instead."

Momo began by explaining both of her parents' quirks and how they work. She then moved to a long-winded explanation of how her quirk works. "And don't use it too much too fast, otherwise you will-!"

Izuku grabbed her hand in the middle of the story, draining the girl once again.

"Mmmh!" moaned the girl into her hand.

"W-Wow!" he exclaimed. "That didn't sting this time!" He popped a small cube out of his forearm. "And look, I can use it right away too!" He looked back towards the girl, noticing her flushed expression. "D-Did that hurt, Yaoyorozu?!" asked the boy. "I'm so sorry!"

The girl removed her hand. "I-It's okay… a-as long as it was you…"

"What is that supposed to mean?" asked Katsuki. "You made a noise like he-!" He received an uppercut from his mother, sending him careening onto the floor, knocked out.

"Icchan!" Izuku looked across the table. "Drain my quirk! Now!" begged the woman. Her face was beet-red and a wide, nervous smile crossed her face.

"Huh?!"

Toshinori Yagi fumbled to grab the phone from his pocket as his hands were currently full of the bags that carried his dinner for the night. "Hello?" he asked, thanking God that no one was around to hear his ringtone. "I really have to change that…"

"Mr. Yagi!" exclaimed the voice on the other end. "I'm glad I was able to reach you! This isn't… a 'bad time,' is it?"

"No, sir," replied the man. "So, what can I help you with?"

"There's someone I want you to get close to," replied the voice. "Someone I've 'taken an interest in.'"

"What, you mean like a wingman?"

A laugh resounded over the phone. "No, Mr. Yagi. It's a 'potential recruit' if you must know."

"I see…," said the man. "So, why do you need me to get close to him? I'm kind of looking for my own 'recruit' at the moment, remember?" he asked.

"I'm aware, but I believe this boy could benefit both of us." Yagi could hear the smile of the man across the phone. "Plus, I think you will want to keep a close eye on the boy, as well…"

Yagi sighed. "Alright," he said. "How should I go about this?"

Izuku yawned as he and Bakugou had arrived back at Dagobah. "Do we really need to be here this early?"

"Yes," answered Katsuki. "There's less foot traffic around here in the morning, so we should be even safer to use our quirks without getting caught."

"We couldn't even stop for breakfast?"

"Shut it!"

The two warmed up shortly before beginning to fight. Each of them had managed to connect with the other more often than in their previous fight. Shortly into their fight, however, the boys stopped in their tracks.

"Well, well…," said a voice, intruding on the two. "What do we have here?"

"Shit…," thought the two in unison.

They looked towards the mountain of trash on top of which stood the intruder. It was a man who looked as though he lacked everything except his skeletal system and his skin. His face was sunken and accompanied by two long, blonde bangs that hung from either side of his head.

"A couple of middle schoolers enjoying their summer break a little too 'freely…'"

"What we do is none of your business!" said Katsuki.

"Isn't it?" asked the man. "You two are using your quirks on public property and it is my duty as a citizen to report you to the proper authorities." His eyes drifted towards the kid with green hair hidden under his red beanie. "So, that's him, huh?"

"C'mon, man," said Izuku. "There's no need for all of that. You can just go about your business, and we'll go about ours, yeah?"

"I'm afraid that won't be possible…"

"Why? Because you want brownie points from the 'proper authorities?'"

"No," said the man. "It's because you two are going to kill each other with such sloppy moves like those. You need to strengthen your skills before fighting head-on, especially defensively."

Katsuki scoffed. "What the hell would you know about it, toothpick?"

The man thought for a moment. "Attack me," he said. "And use your quirk."

"What?" asked Izuku. "You want him to attack you?"

"That's what I said, isn't it?"

"You must have a death wish, old man," said Katsuki. He smiled, "but… if you insist!"

"Yikes," thought the man as Katsuki adopted a manic expression before charging him. He watched as the boy's palms started to glow. Without so much as a thought, he ducked out of the way, maneuvered behind Katsuki, and tackled him. He pointed the teen's hands towards his head. "Go ahead and use your quirk now," he said. He looked up, noticing the other boy had disappeared.

"Get offa him!" shouted Izuku, forming behind the man from a trail of smoke and slamming a boot into his face. The man tanked the attack, barely moving an inch. "What is this guy?!"

Izuku quickly switched to his explosion quirk, charging up an attack "I can't attack him directly, otherwise Kacchan will get caught up in the blast." Instead, he redirected his attack, using the momentum he generated to kick with his free leg. This "boosted kick" had managed to push the man off of Katsuki.

"Two quirks, huh?" asked the man as he clicked his jaw back into place. "And so similar… I'm guessing you two are brothers then?"

"Something like that," said Izuku, catching his breath. "And what about you? What's your quirk?"

"I don't have one," replied the man.

"What?!"

"That's bullshit!" exclaimed Katsuki. "You mean to tell me that someone quirkless could take hits like that?! Yeah, right!"

"It's true," said the man. "Why would I lie about that?"

"Whatever…, so you're not going to report us, right?"

"On one condition."

"And what the hell would that be?"

"You let me train you."

"Why would we-?!"

"Okay," said Izuku.

"What?! What do you mean 'okay?!'"

"You saw him, Kacchan. For someone quirkless to move and block like he did… just imagine what we could learn with quirks like ours."

Katsuki scoffed. Izuku had a point. "Fine." He pointed at the man. "You have two months to train me before I go to UA!"

"Right…," said the man. "And what about you? Are you planning on going to UA?"

"That's not really in the cards for me," said Izuku. "I didn't develop my quirk until recently, so I never had considered becoming a hero an option."

"That's okay," replied the man.

"But I'm not strong enough as I am, so I'll still train with you if you'll have me!"

The man smiled. "Alright! Let's begin!"

The two spent the rest of the day, training much harder than they could have on their own. They swapped contact information with the man, deciding that they would meet in the same place tomorrow. He told the two that he would come up with specific diet plans and a certain training regiment within the week before dismissing them.

As he watched the two leave, he pulled out his phone. He dialed a number and shortly after brought it up to his ear. "It's me… Yeah… you were right, something about that boy is special. I just hope it's not what I think it is."
