Guardian Angels

By: IAmTheBoss

When SG-1 first started out, there were four Guardian Angels, one for each team member. In the next few months, because of his known passion for klutziness, Daniel had been upgraded to three Guardian Angels. When all of SG-1 was killed on a mission, the Guardian Angels were forced to make an appearance, so they chose to come as creatures called the Nox. After that event, all of the team's Angels were reevaluated, and Sam was awarded another Guardian Angel, because one was not enough to stop her from jumping up and getting killed herself when the Colonel was killed.

At the time when Daniel was presumed dead when he really was taken by Nem, all of the Guardian Angels received an evaluation, and all of SG-1 received another Guardian Angel. When Daniel sacrificed his life for the people of Kelowna, all of Sg-1's Guardian Angels were reevaluated, fired, and new Angels were hired to replace them. In order to save Daniel, the Angels gave him the choice of being one of them, which, as we know, Daniel accepted. By that time, the total number of Guardian Angels for SG-1 was 30, a new universal record.

At the end of Ba'als imprisonment of Jack, he had reached an all time high level of 21 Angels. Sam closely followed him at 19 Angels, three of which were there to make sure that she didn't hit her head anymore. Needless to say, those three were often replaced. It was reported that an Angel was overheard saying that SG-1 was the most accident prone group of people he had ever met in his 6,000 plus years of being a Guardian. At this time, the management was looking at devoting 50 Angels, just for SG-1.

By the time that Sam met Grace, Daniel now held the record of having the most angles, with an astounding number of 60. Jack came in a close second, with 54 Angels, but by the time that Sam came back from Prometheus, she had received 59, 15 of whom were there to protect her brain. Teal'c came in last place with 40 angels. The Angels had now opened multiple betting pools, all of which surrounded SG-1, and when they would be injured again. The losers of the bet were on SG-1 duty for a month or more, while the winners were given the job of protecting someone else for the time.

When Sam faced off against the Super Soldier, she was quickly promoted to the rank of 65 Angels, which, in Guardian terms, meant that she had really, really, really bad luck. She kept her position through Dr. Janet Frasier's death, and at that time, the Angels decided to send extra protection to any member of the SGC. She didn't keep her position long after that though, for Daniel quickly rose to 70 Angels. Teal'c rose to 50 Angels while he was stuck in the virtual reality game.

When Jack was promoted to Major General, all the Angels thought that his replacement wouldn't possibly need anywhere close to Jack's 60some Angels. Boy, were they wrong. Cameron quickly moved up the ranks, and by the end of his first year, he had already accumulated 30 Guardian Angels. When Dr. Lamm, the base's new physician, was treating SG-1 for their newest batch of scrapes and bruises, she commented that SG-1 must have had a whole army of Guardian Angles. And, at over 200 Guardian Angles for the entire team, she had no idea how right she was.

Just a little thing that came to me one day as I was reading fan fiction. Please review, but be nice, this is my first posted fan fiction.
