LAST CHAPTER-it was nice knowing people read this, I guess

Elsa has never felt so hot before. It feels like she straining against the bars of a cage, but they are as insubstantial as they are strong. She repeatedly tries to muster her icy powers to no avail. Everything is veiled in darkness, and her eyes will not open. She bends her will upon the walls of her mind, attempting to force her way out of this endless labyrinth. Every ounce of her determination is set on pushing forward, yet the progress is as slow as the drip of sand through a timer. Still, she persisted.

Slowly the world began falling in around her. At first, she could only hear a muddle of vague mutterings in the background. Now and then she would feel a cold hand feel her forehead. She weaved in and out of consciousness for hours at a time.

As the time passed, she became aware of another presence in the room. They lingered longer than most, and she could still feel they were in the room at night. The same someone fed her soup and medicines at fixed times each day. Elsa knew them... but who was it?

She could feel her strength returning with every time she flickered awake. Memories came flooding back. Anna... she was the one who'd fed her, accompanied her. How were they doing? What of the castle?

Soon, she felt completely better. She had to see Anna... see how everyone was faring.

She forced her eyes open. A girl with bright copper hair sat at the window seat, glancing out into nothingness. Elsa would recognize her anywhere. "Anna!" Elsa gasped. The girl whipped around, almost falling off the window seat, her braids flying. "Elsa! You're awake!" she exclaimed, exultant. Rushing over, she wrapped Elsa up in an affectionate hug. All Elsa could do was smile.
