Chapter 5 is out! I apologize for not getting this out yesterday, but I didn't have much time to write. Sorry if this chapter seems a bit too similar to the original, but apart from some additions here and there, I couldn't find a way to spice up the Carnage Kabuto fight that much. Now, Reviews!

ImmaNumber1: Oh yeah, The Devourer of Gods would be an insane threat for sure. I'm trying to make the chapters longer, but I only have so much time a day to write. Regardless, I hope you're still enjoying!

"So, why is this 'Dr. Genus' so interested in me anyway?"

The rest of the monsters had regained consciousness and were now up against a wall being interrogated by Calamitas. Genos was standing next to her, prepared to incinerate any of them should they attack. Saitama was squatting down and reading a manga that he had grabbed from his apartment.

"U-uh, well, you see, Dr. Genus is a genius who's ultimate goal is the artificial evolution of the human race. Ever since he was little, he saw the rest of humanity as incomplete, inferior beings. This pained him to no end. Despite growing up to become a very successful scientist, winning himself multiple awards, none of his peers shared his vision. Even so, he would not be deterred. He undertook the research himself."

Beast king then took over the story. "It wasn't until he turned 70 that his research yielded what he was looking for. First, he regained his youthful appearance. Then, he began cloning himself en masse. With his army of clones, they held many experiments. The most successful of which are standing right here. His research then shifted to human subjects. Out of those experiments, only two were successful. We do not know much about the first one, only that he was the only successful subject from the immortals project. The other successful subject was Mosquito girl. Dr. Genus' great ambition-"

"Oh will you wrap it up already?! I'm not in the mood for long stories today!"

Beast king looked over at Saitama irritated. "Hey, can it chrome dome!"

A tick mark appeared on Saitama's head. "Why is that everyone's go to insult?! So I'm bald, what's it to you?!"

"Well, regardless, I think it's about time I paid your creator a visit. And you're going to help me find him."

Kamakyuri thrust his claw towards Calamitas. "You think we'll just willingly give him away?! You got another thing coming!"

"Need I remind you that I put you three feet in the pavement and defeated your strongest warrior rather effortlessly?"

Upon seeing flames flicker to life around her, Kamakyuri gulped and lowered his appendage. "Y-yeah, right."

Beast king sighed. "I guess we don't really have a choice, do we? Alright, Frog Man, Slugurus, stay behind and tend to Armored Gorilla. Ground Dragon, Kamakyuri and I will...escort these guys to the House of Evolution."

The two small monsters straightened up at their names. "Y-yes sir Beast King sir!"

"Hmmph. Alright, follow me. I won't wait for slowpokes."

The three monsters took off towards the woods, The others following close behind.

'This is bad, I better alert the doctor'

Armored Gorilla was about to broadcast a message, when an incineration cannon was pointed to his face. Frog Man and Slugerous gulped, hiding behind their stronger ally.

"Hold on, I still have some questions. How many cyborgs have this 'House of Evolution' created? Have any of them ever destroyed towns in the past?"

"Uh, I don't know. But in the House of Evolution, I'm the only combat cyborg."

"I see." Genos sped off without another word.

"What a weirdo."

"Absurd! Given Armored Gorilla's report, my elite team made for humanity's extinction has been defeated with ease! And they're headed here now?! All of our research, the fruits of my labor, it could all be destroyed! We've no choice. Prepare for the release of Carnage Kabuto."

The clones within the room froze in terror, before they all began to panic.

"Carnage Kabuto? But that's insane!"

"But he's right. It may be the only way!"

"But we can't control him! We'll all die!"

"That's enough! He'll be our very last resort. We'll start by activating all our traps. With luck, that should be enough to take care of them."

"Hey Dr. Genus! I'm up!"

The frazzled doctor looked over to his newest creation. "Mosquito Girl, I recommend you leave the area immediately. The others have failed to secure the one who defeated you, and they are on their way here right now. We may have to awaken HIM."

Mosquito girl's blood ran cold. "Y-you don't mean? Aren't you sure that's a little overkill?"

"It may be our only option. That is why I'm asking you to leave. Even if I should perish, I would take solace in knowing that my creations survived."

"Doctor... Ok. I'll go meet up with the others."

"One more thing. Beast King and the rest of the assault team have been forced into cooperating with our target. If you encounter her, do not engage. You remember what happened last time correct?"

Mosquito Girl groaned. "FINE. But only because you said so."

With those last words, she flew out an open window.

After scaling a hill, The towering building that was the House of Evolution came into view.

'So that's where this Dr. Genus does his business. Given what Beast King said, I'd like to meet him myself. A man who discovered the elixir of life, cloned himself, and created artificial beings, all without the aid of magic? And I thought Draedon was smart.'

"Here we are. Try not wreck the place, Ok?"

Genos was starting to heat up his incineration cannons, but stopped when he received a glare from Calamitas.

"Don't even think about it. We want to try and end this peacefully. Besides, if we kill him, whose going to pay for my ceiling?"

"I apologize. I need to learn to think before acting."

"We'll work on that when we start your training. Now, should we go from the top down?"

"YOU'RE ALREADY HERE?! Damn it! I was hoping I'd have a bit of time before I saw your face again! And why is that tin can with you?!"

Calamitas looked up to see Mosquito Girl hovering in front of the house of evolution. She was still in her red form. It appeared that the change was permanent.

"Oh, you're all fixed up. That's good to see."

"Don't patronize me! I'd rip your head off right now if I could!"

Saitama looked up at her with a bored expression. "You need to relax. You shouldn't stay mad at someone just because they beat you in a fight."

"Can it baldy! You and me are gonna have a rematch fire bitch! Of course, That's assuming you can survive what's in store."

Ground Dragon gulped. "Y-you don't mean? Is the doctor really going to release him?!"

Calamitas raised a brow. "Who are you talking about?"

Kamakyuri was shivering. "C-Carnage Kabuto. The strongest fighter in the House of Evolution. The thing is, he's way too unstable. The doctor had to keep him locked up underground just to avoid him from attacking everyone in sight."

"Underground eh? Then I'd assume that's where we'll be going."

Beast King walked up next to Calamitas and looked at her.

"Hey. I know that I'm not really in a position to be asking any favors, but please, If you're going down there, make sure that the doctor gets out safely. He means a lot to all of us, even if he doesn't realize it."

"I knew you weren't all bad. I promise that I'll do everything I can to ensure his safety."

"Thank you. I know you're strong, but be careful when you take on Kabuto. He's leagues above all of us. I'm not even sure you could beat him!"

Genos glared at Beast King. "That's impossible. Master Calamitas should easily be able to defeat such a monster."

Calamitas rolled her eyes. "Genos, You'll realize that overconfidence is a powerful foe. If you believe that you are incapable of losing, that lessens your chance of victory."

Genos immediately whipped out a pen and notepad and began furiously scribbling. "I must record your words of wisdom!"

Calamitas sweatdropped. 'Probably need to work on his people skills as well.'

She then looked over to Saitama. "Can you go find the entrance to the basement really quick?"

"Yeah, sure."

Mosquito Girl spoke up. "Uh, you know there's traps-"

Saitama had already jumped up onto the roof and was halfway down the building before she finished speaking. Flashes of light and smoke came from the windows, before a metal hatch came flying out the front door.

"In there."

Beast King looked at the hatch dumbstruck. "That thing was bolted down with solid titanium! Not even I can open it without a key!"

Saitama poked his head out of the door. "Oi, Calamitas, Genos, you coming?"

"Of course!"

Genos looked at the smoking windows and the warped hatch. 'Perhaps Saitama is stronger than I gave him credit for.'

"Man, this basement is huge! I'm getting kind of fired up!"

"Well remember, we want to try and end things peacefully."

Genos suddenly stopped. "I sense two lifeforms swiftly approaching!"

The hallway lights started going out a ways away, the sound of stomping getting closer and closer.

As the source of the noise came into view, Calamitas noted it's appearance. It was a giant beetle like monster covered in a brown carapace and with a large horn sticking out of his head. The only human like attribute that he had was his face, but even that was covered in the same carapace. She also noticed that there was a battered man in his left hand, who was most likely Dr. Genus.

She was so lost in thought that she couldn't react when The monster slammed Genos into a wall.

"Genos! Are you ok?!"

"Bahaha! My name is Carnage Kabuto! We've got a combat arena down that way! Let's throw down in there!"

Calamitas sighed. This one looked like a real annoyance. "Fine. Saitama, make sure Genos is okay."

"Uh, yeah ok."

Kabuto smiled arrogantly, before dropping Genus and taking off, Calamitas following close behind.

Calamitas was facing Carnage Kabuto In a large white room.

"Pretty big eh? It's the largest room in the whole facility! Which means there's plenty of room for me to kick your ass! Now, let's start the killing!"

Just as Kabuto was about to charge Calamitas, a blast of fire engulfed his form. When the fire died down, he was revealed to be utterly unharmed. Looking over to the doorframe, Kabuto spotted Genos with his arm raised.

"Oh, still alive are you?"

Saitama put a hand on Genos' shoulder. "Dude, your face is all busted and your arm is dented! Don't push yourself!"

Ignoring his words, Genos took off towards Carnage Kabuto at breakneck speeds. He feinted around the towering monster, firing blast after blast from his incineration cannons. Following up, he ran towards Kabuto and jumped at him.

Kabuto only scoffed at his attempts at damaging him. "Fool."

"Machine Gun Blows!"

Genos rapidly slammed his fists into Carnage Kabuto's carapace, before a giant fist broke through his assault and slammed into his face. He was sent spiraling across the room and into Calamitas, who caught him.

"Hey, take a rest ok? I can take it from here."

Yet despite being so clearly outmatched, Genos' pride wouldn't allow him to give up. He Fired a massive blast of fire, intent on at least singing the monster. What nobody was expecting was for Kabuto to repel the blast with nothing but his breath.

"What?! Impossible!"

Calamitas looked back over to Carnage Kabuto who was mocking the two of them.

"Now that was impressive. You might be a worthy opponent yet!"

Saitama watched the exchange with a bit of excitement. This Carnage Kabuto guy looked pretty strong. Maybe he'd manage to get a crack at him too.

"As expected from Carnage Kabuto. Let's see how a natural being fares against the pinnacle of artificial evolution!"

Saitama looked over to see the man from before limping into the arena.

"Huh? Who're you?"

"My name is Genus, the creator of the House of Evolution."

"Oh, ok. That guy's pretty strong. Do you think He'll be able to win?"

"I have no doubts. Carnage Kabuto is my strongest creation! Nobody can surpass his might!"

"Yeah, well Calamitas is pretty strong too. I guess we'll just have to see."

Calamitas was waiting for Carnage Kabuto to make the first move. She wanted to asses his strength before she decided on what to do. Finally, Carnage Kabuto barreled towards her. He went to punch her, But she blocked his fist and fired a jet of fire into his face.

"AUGH! You Bitch! That... Hurt?"

Calamitas followed up by firing a soul seeker into his chest, sending him flying back and slamming into the wall.

Kabuto slowly lifted himself out of the wall, but made no move to attack again.

Dr. Genus was in disbelief. "Absurd! Carnage Kabuto being forced back?!"

"WHAT IN GOD'S NAME WAS THAT?! HOW THE HELL DID YOU GET SO STRONG?!"

Calamitas sighed. She would admit that she was a bit disappointed at the lack of a good fight.

"I'm a master of the arcane arts. But I wasn't always this powerful. I've honed my skills for decades. I've fought countless powerful adversaries to grow stronger, and trained to have complete and utter control over my power."

Genus looked at Calamitas like she had two heads. "Magic?! You have to be joking! You have to have artificial body parts that allow you to manipulate fire like that!"

Calamitas looked back at the doctor, remembering her promise to Beast King. "Believe what you want, but I am telling the truth."

"You know what, fine! If you don't wan to reveal your little party tricks, then that's fine by me!"

The walls of the room took on a red hue, the door was sealed off, and sirens were blaring.

"No! Kabuto don't do it! You'll go on another rampage!"

"I bet your not stronger than me... ANYWAY!"

Carnage Kabuto's carapace turned green and purple, His horn extended, muscles bulged, and his eyes turned a pure red.

"CARNAGE MODE! When I get like this, I lose control of myself for a whole week! After I kill everyone in this room, I'll go into town and go on a rampage until next Saturday! If your so strong, then try and stop me!"

Kabuto ran forward and slammed his fist into Calamitas at speeds she wasn't expecting. She was sent flying into the nearby wall, a large portion of it shattering.

The enraged monster wasted no time in rushing forward and slamming a flurry of punched into the brimstone witch.

"DEATHDEATHDEATHDEATHDEATHDEATH!"

'He's truly become a mindless killing machine hasn't he? And he said He'll be like this for a week? I guess there's no other choice. I need to end this.'

As Kabuto ricochet Calamitas off of another wall and went to deliver another blow, she weaved past it and slammed her fist into Kabuto's stomach, before igniting it and burning the monster from the inside out in under a second.

Calamitas landed in the center of the room and singed the rest of the guts off of her arm.

"Gross."

Dr. Genus was on his knees in shock. "Wh-Wha-What?!"

Suddenly, a scream of anguish rang out from Saitama. "SHIIIIT! I missed bargain day at the supermarket!"

Genos took the flyer in Saitama's grasp and read it. "Saitama. The store closes at 7. If you hurry, you can still make it.

"Really!? Thanks Genos!"

Saitama ran towards the furthest wall, before collapsing it with his fist, sending Genus into further shock.

"I-I think I'm done with artificial evolution."

Calamitas walked over towards Genus. "You must be going through a lot. your entire philosophy of the world just came crashing down on you."

Genus righted his glasses, before standing up and smiling. "No. I've just realized that I've been following a false ideology. I suppose my days of research are over."

"What are you talking about. If replacing the human race didn't work, why don't you try advancing it instead?"

"I... I really am a fool to not have thought of that."

"Dr. Genus! Are you Ok?!" Beast King, Mosquito Girl, and the others came running in through the hole that Saitama had created. Armored Gorilla was there too, his limbs reattached with the help of Frog Man and Slugerous.

Genus looked at them in shock. "You were... worried about me?"

"Of course! Why wouldn't we be?"

The doctor chuckled. "I really do have much to learn. We have a new goal now. Instead of replacing the human race, we will now aim to help it. But first, I have some business to take care of."

The House of Evolution monsters were shocked to learn that Carnage Kabuto was nothing mote than a pile of ash. Beast King had thanked Calamitas for upholding her promise. Eventually, The brimstone witch and her disciple left, leaving Genus to enact what he wanted to do. He had Slugerous and Armored Gorilla repair the gaping hole in the combat room, while the others cleaned up the mess that the traps had left. As for Genus himself, He went to pay a visit to the Hero Association.

"Zombieman, would you please come down to the main lobby? There is someone here to see you."

Zombieman set his cup of coffee down. 'Who would be here to see me? I don't have any friends or family, and if it were an emergency, the Hero Association would have called me instead of coming to this branch in person. I suppose it could be Child Emperor, but he said he had to catch up on studying.'

Putting his custom desert eagles in his trench coat just in case, he made his way downstairs. Upon entering the lobby, he froze. What the hell was HE doing here?!

"Hello. Long time no see Zombieman."

"Genus..."

Again, sorry if this chapter seemed a little cut and dry, but I really couldn't come up with much.
