Hey, I'm back! I'll try to update this story a little more regularly. Some of you may have some issues with the direction I take this chapter in, but I hope that you'll enjoy it regardless. Now for reviews!

PraiseOkita: I'm going to enjoy writing the Boros arc a lot. Expect some major twists.

Guest 1: Yeah, I'm aware of that little mistranslation, no idea how they messed it up that bad lol.

Guest 2: I was under the belief that Catastrophe and Cataclysm were just allies that Calamitas summoned. As for why she refers to them as her 'Brothers', I think it's a way of coping with the loss of her actual siblings. That being said, they might make an appearance or two in some major fights, but won't really be actual characters.

King Jarman: I sent you a PM responding to your review. Go check it out if you want.

"So this is where we register to become official heroes?"

Calamitas, Genos, and Saitama were standing in front of Z city's HA branch, ready to take their hero registry test.

"Well, what are we waiting for? let's go!"

Saitama advanced into the crowd to sign up. Calamitas rolled her eyes and followed, Genos trailing behind her wordlessly.

As she walked through the crowd of hopeful participants, they backed away in fear and confusion.

"Gah! What the?"

"A m-m-monster?!"

Calamitas groaned at their gawking, but said nothing. what they thought of her appearance meant relatively nothing to her.

As she was about to approach the check in desk, a couple of heavily armored HA employees came out of the building.

"Halt monster! Stay right where you are and don't move!"

Calamitas pinched the bridge of her nose, muttering under her breath.

"Why does every goddamn person think I'm a monster just because of my appearance?!"

The guards looked at her confused, before one of them widened their eyes in recognition.

"Wait a minute! You're that monster from the news! The one who rescued a civilian! But what are you doing at the hero testing sight?"

Calamitas raised a brow. "First off, please stop calling me a monster. Secondly, isn't it obvious? I'm here to become a hero."

The guards just stared at Calamitas like she had grown another head. It was then that Genos felt the need to step in.

"My master and I are here to take the hero test. Let us pass."

The guards, frazzled and confused, wordlessly backed away, retreating back into the building.

"Thanks Genos. Hopefully this won't happen as much once I'm a hero."

"It was no issue."

After registering and being assigned a number by a very confused and slightly frightened receptionist, Calamitas broke off from Genos to go to the woman's testing area. Many of the other participants had already seen the witch outside, so the initial shock had worn off. They still kept their distance and gave her the occasional fearful glance, but otherwise left her alone.

Calamitas breezed through the physical testing with ease, effortlessly outclassing all of the others.

"These people want to be heroes?!" Calamitas was shocked at just how weak the other participants were. She was sure that she would be stronger than all of them, yes, but she didn't quite expect them to be this underwhelming.

The written portion of the test wasn't much different. She was able to answer the majority of the questions with ease. They were mostly common sense, like what to do if a monster was attacking civilians, or what to do if a monster you couldn't beat showed up. Calamitas severely doubted that would happen, but answered anyway.

As she was awaiting her results in the locker room, Calamitas heard an announcement over the loudspeaker.

"Would participant #57 come to room 11? The hero evaluation committee would like to meet with you."

"Hm? #57? That's me. Guess I'll head down then."

"Well, this is a surprise. I had heard the rumors that a monster was taking the hero test, but I thought nothing of them."

Calamitas grumbled under her breath. "I am not a monster."

"But that aside, you got full marks on both the written and physical tests. This was interesting, so we thought it appropriate to meet with you in person. We have some questions for you, you see."

"Alright, ask away."

the man wearing round glasses showed her a tablet with the picture of a scorched forest.

"The other day, civilians complained of tremors and loud booms coming from just outside the city. When we went to investigate, we found that the canyon that used to be there, as well as half the surrounding forest, had either been burned to ash or blown to bits. You wouldn't happen to know anything about this would you?"

"Actually, that was the result of a friendly spar between myself and one of the other participants here today."

There were audible gasps from the employees. The man with the glasses regained his calm and pressed on.

"I see. And who is this individual? With this new information, we might wish to meet with them as well."

"His name is Saitama. He may not look like much, but he's unbelievably strong. Our spar ended in a draw because we feared that we would cause destruction to the city if we continued."

The man hummed in thought, before pulling out another picture. A massive hole was blown in the wall of a massive tower.

"We had been keeping tabs on a dangerous organization named the house of evolution. We had just discovered it's location, only to discover that the leader, Dr. Genus as well as his creations had ceased operations and were now wishing to work with the Hero Association. Of course we were suspicious, so we asked him why he had a change of heart. He explained that three individuals had defeated his strongest monsters, which made him reevaluate his life."

"I see. That was also Saitama and I, as well as another participant here. A cyborg named Genos."

There were more gasps, and even some murmuring amongst the employees.

"Genos? Cyborg?"

"You don't think it's the one we've been looking for?!"

"I see. One more question for you and then you may leave. Dr. Genus. You were there when he was defeated. Do you truly think he's changed?"

"I do. After I killed his strongest creation, A deranged monster named Carnage Kabuto, he lost all the resolve he had to continue with his plan. He has kept in contact with me ever since then. His new goal is to help advance human civilization, instead of replacing it."

There was more murmuring.

"She's a monster! Do you really think we can trust her word?"

"She did ace the written test though."

Calamitas had had about enough of the whole monster talk.

"Excuse me, I hate to interrupt, but I am not a monster. I was born like this, I cannot help my appearance. A monster is a bloodthirsty beast that cannot be reasoned with. I think you have noticed by now, but I'm not trying to kill you like some kind of psycho am I?"

The employees were silent for a moment.

"...Of course. We apologize if we have upset you."

"It's fine. I just wish that more people would judge based on actions instead of appearances. Just because I look like a monster, does not mean I am one."

There was an awkward cough.

"Well put. You may leave now if you wish. That was all we wanted to discuss."

Calamitas nodded. "In that case, I will head back to the locker room to wait for the results."

Calamitas looked at her ranking.

S Class Rank 17

"S-class huh? I looked into the rankings, and they don't put just anyone into Class S."

Still looking at the results of her exam, Calamitas left the locker room and headed into the lobby to wait for Saitama and Genos.

A couple minutes later, the two left the men's locker room.

"So what rank were you guys assigned?"

Genos spoke first in his stoic voice. "I was assigned as Class S rank 18. I am sure you have been assigned class S as well correct?"

Calamitas held up her ranking for the two to see.

"looks like I'm ahead of you Genos. What about you Saitama? You didn't flunk on the written portion did you?"

"Huh? oh yeah. I got Class S rank 19."

Calamitas gave a sigh of relief. "Thank god. For a second I thought you were gonna say class C or some crap."

Saitama was still reading his results. "It says here that despite not getting full marks, they made an exception both because I broke all of the physical test records and because of further evidence of exceptional strength."

"You didn't get full marks? How many points did you get?"

"It says I got 90 out of 100 points. I guess I still messed up despite trying my hardest."

Calamitas rolled her eyes. "Well the important thing is that you're S class.

Just then, another announcement came through on the loudspeakers.

"Would all successful participants make their way to room 5 for the seminar?"

"Huh? Well, guess that's out que."

Genos, Calamitas, and Saitama were sitting in desks, waiting for the speaker to start talking.

The speaker cleared his throat.

"So you're the new recruits huh? It's not every day we get a new S class hero, let alone three. Normally they'd have an A or B class give the seminar, but since you all made class S, I, S Class rank 16 Tank Top Master will be giving it instead. Now, you've all shown that you posses exceptional strength, but that's not all there is to being a top hero, something a lot of the other S class forget. You need to posses a righteous spirit, as well as the will to continue forward when the going gets tough!"

Saitama was looking out into space, one foot on top of the desk. He received a flaming hot smack up the head from Calamitas.

"Pay attention!"

"Fine, fine..."

"Ahem. As I was saying, now that you're heroes, you'll be known all over the world! You want to make an image that reflects what a true hero should be. Many heroes believe that fame is one of the most important aspects of heroism. I don't believe that to be true. Whether you're well known or not, you must always strive to uphold justice and peace, no matter the public opinion. I wish the best for you're careers, and I'm exited to work with you as colleagues. Before you go, have a complimentary tank top, courtesy of me. My personal belief is that in order to bring out your full strength, you must master the power of the tank top!"

Saitama and Calamitas sweatdropped and took the article of clothing.

"He certainly is a respectable hero, but his philosophy of strength is a bit weird."

"Uh, thank you sir."

"Think nothing of it. Now, go and make a name for yourselves!"

"Well, we're all Class S heroes now, so we should get recognition for our deeds."

"Correct. Saitama."

"Huh? What is it Genos?"

"I wish to have a spar with you tomorrow. Master Calamitas states that you posses incredible strength, but I wish to see it for myself."

"Oh. Ok sure."

"Then it is decided. Where shall we meet?"

Calamitas looked out towards the now scorched crater outside of Z city.

"Well, I suppose that the outskirts should be cool enough for another spar. I'll be sure to watch it."

With a plan for the coming day in mind, the three new heroes headed back to their homes to get some sleep.

Well, Calamitas, Genos, AND Saitama are all S-class! Some of you may be surprised, some not, some even disappointed. Don't worry. I wouldn't make this decision if I didn't think I could make it work. Stay tuned for the next chapter!
