JacquelineMueller53: Oh don't worry, Shamanmon won't be left out I promise X3 He's just gotta wait a little longer.
Lord Killen King: Hey now, don't go counting out some evolutions just yet. Chaosmon is simply meant to be a fusion between two digimon that shouldn't be able to fuse, after all... It could take many forms ;3
vivillion10: Well you've got one more guess with Shamanmon XD His might be more obvious but we'll see what happens I suppose X3
This is the FINAL CHAPTER of Season 3 and is really more of an "Epilogue" more details will be in the Author's Note at the bottom!
Sam and Darcmon
. . .
While things in the Human World had been hectic, the digital sisters had been keeping busy with patrolling and helping out around the Digital World. Hunting down what remained of Mephistomon's loyalists, those who would attempt to grow stronger and rise to power. While also keeping an eye out for Dragomon, who'd been mysteriously absent since his defeat in the Human World.
After so long not knowing where he went, they returned to the Volcano Lab to try another approach. Attempting to rely on technology to track down the monster, they found some success in tracking his enormous data signature deep beneath the ocean. But before they had the chance to act on that information, he vanished, along with the enormous signal disturbances that began to plague the network.
Neither knew what was going on, but could do nothing but watch and hope for the best while everything in the human world played out.
Until finally, many hours later...
"It would appear that the disturbances are subsiding." The angelic warrior stated bluntly, as both she and her sister stood before the monitors surveying the situation.
"Great," Sam huffed, "Maybe now someone can spare a call and tell me what's going on..." Tapping away at a few keys, "I mean come on, the network has been going wild for almost a whole day and they don't even send a text?"
"Perhaps they were unable," Darcmon reasoned casually, "Due to the aforementioned network issues?"
"Excuses," Sam rolled her eyes, before hooking her Digivice up into the computer. It's screen lit up while searching for a signal between worlds, "Come on... I knew I should have gotten Datamon to help set this thing up..."
"I think you need to relax," Darcmon stated, "You've hardly stopped moving since we got home."
Sam stood up and turned, starting to head for the exit. "We can't afford to be sitting around, Dragomon disappeared and could be heading to the Human World, you want to just wait around until he does something?" She questioned, walking the halls of the volcanic lab beside her sister.
"I didn't say that," Darcmon shook her head. "But we'd do no good going after him unprepared, and we don't even know where to start looking."
"Well it's better than sitting around doing nothing." She scoffed in response, turning towards the doors. "I'll go down to the Dum Dum Factory, see if they can't put something together-" But before she could take another step, the doors began to slowly open on their own. Causing both Darcmon and her sister to go on guard, "Were we expecting visitors?"
"No," She answered, shaking her head. "We were not."
As the doors fully opened, they were met with the faces of two very tall and lanky humanoid digimon. One of which, they recognized from Madison's performance, Myotismon. The other however, they'd never seen before, but he matched the general description they'd been given.
"Good afternoon," Myotismon greeted with a slight bow, "Apologies for the intrusion-"
"Don't apologize," Darcmon slowly drew her blade, "Just keep your distance."
The other digimon, with the glowing yellow eyes and lack of face beneath that hood, stepped forward with his hands up. "We mean no harm, my name is Wisemon, I'm sure Madison mentioned me."
Sam nodded slowly, "She did."
"Excellent," He perked up a bit, "Then you understand there is no need for alarm, yes?"
Both Sam and Darcmon shot each other a look, before shaking their heads. "Nope," Sam replied, "The thing is, we looked for both of you after that mess with Mephistomon, but it seemed like neither of you wanted to be found." She explained, narrowing her eyes. "And now you walk in through our front door like everything is fine? Not buying it."
"So keep your distance," Darcmon added, leveling her blade with them. "And tell us why you're here."
Myotismon smirked lightly, folding his arms over his chest. "Not as friendly and welcoming as dear Madison, an improvement if you ask me."
To which Wisemon nervously laughed, "I suppose under these circumstances it is quite suspicious, I'll forgo the formalities and get right to it."
"That would be nice," Sam replied, remembering what Madison had told her about this strange digimon. His connection to them all being chosen, "So what is this about? Is something happening with the others I should know about?"
"No, actually," Wisemon shook his head. "I am here because what has come to light concerns you two alone."
Darcmon tensed up, sword lowering ever so slightly. "Us?"
"During your conflict with Mephistomon," Wisemon continued, "I sensed something awakening, and I knew it was time to seek out my friend... The one who chose those you aided."
"And I," Myotismon chimed in, "Having been not at all convinced you'd actually defeat the Dark Lord, was leaving when I encountered Wisemon," He shrugged, "I decided to tag along and... Observe."
Sam's eye twitched, "And... You just allowed a servant of Mephistomon to follow you?"
Wisemon tapped his fingers together nervously, "W-Well he seemed quite well mannered."
Darcmon pinched the bridge of her nose, while Sam continued. "Alright, so what did your friend have to say when you told him about what you felt?"
"That he would like to speak with you." He answered simply. "He waits for us within a higher Sphere."
"So you were sent to retrieve us?" Darcmon scoffed, "What if we refuse?"
Wisemon looked like he was about to say something, before he sighed heavily. "If it is not us, it will be someone who is... Much less polite."
"Is that a threat?" Sam questioned.
"It is... A regrettable reality," Wisemon corrected, "Please, I am not much of a fighter, and neither is my master, we seek only to protect both worlds." He assured, "And that requires your help."
"Look," Myotismon stepped in once more, "You don't have to agree to help us, but at least hear the old geezer out before you go condemning both worlds to oblivion."
Sam and Darcmon looked to each other once more, both suspicious but smart enough to know that they couldn't take such a threat lightly. Slowly, they nodded as Sam stepped forward. "Fine, take us to this... Master of yours."
"Oh splendid," Wisemon cheered right back up, "I promise you will find Master Gennai to be an excellent host!"
Short and sweet, foreshadowing and leaving you with a cliffhanger because I'm a real stinker haha
But with this, Season 3 Concludes and we lay the ground work for Season 4. The way things are going I might end up breaking up what I have planned next into 2 seasons, or at least a season 4 Part 1 and Part 2, we'll see how it goes. Either way it will be the END of this story so I want everything to be perfect.
And because of that, I'm taking a break! Story will resume around the middle/end of November, that's the plan anyways but who knows things might change. I definitely won't be coming back any LATER though, might just pop in earlier. Don't forget about me XD
In the mean time, keep an eye out, the universe of Digital Crisis might be growing sometime soon...
Anyways, until next time you guys have a good Fall! My DMs are open if anyone has questions! Be seeing you around!
