Hey! This chapter ended up being a lot longer than I thought. Let me know if some of the fights scenes are underwhelming or repetitive. I'm not the best with them.

Now for reviews!

Senor Oogway: Glad I could entertain!

Guest: They can see her face. The S-class were briefed off screen about her because it'd get repetitive having to have her explain her appearance all the time.

CaptainRocket77: Thanks for all the feedback! I'm glad you're enjoying my portrayal of Calamitas, I was worried that I wasn't doing a great job. As for who you're talking about, I'm still planning that confrontation out in my head. And I will say, It will go a lot differently than in canon! And yes, Calamitas will definitely be reminded of Yharim when she meets him.

foxyshooter63: Glad you're enjoying!

I'm just mentioning this in case anyone's interested, I have a forum! Link is in my bio.

"Well, here we are!"

Calamitas, Saitama and Genos looked over the room. It was very similar in size and structure to the combat room at the House of Evolution, but it looked significantly stronger than it.

Darkshine stepped forward to get the trio's attention. "This room is top of the line stuff, built by the S-class hero Metal Knight. It can withstand almost anything, and can even morph into different terrain for different scenarios. In short, it's the ultimate combat testing room! So Saitama, how about it? ready to take me on?"

"Yeah, ok."

"Sweet! Can't wait to see what you got, new guy!"

As Darkshine and Saitama went down to the combat area, the others sat down to watch.

"So, who do you thinks gonna win?"

"Well, I don't know what Darkshine is capable of, but I would still put my money on Saitama regardless."

"I must agree with Master Calamitas. Saitama has fought her to a stalemate, and when I sparred with him, I could not detect most of his movements, let alone land a hit on him. Not to mention that his strength is seemingly endless."

Tatsumaki scoffed. "For you weaklings maybe. I could take him out no problem."

Calamitas rolled her eyes and ignored the green haired brat.

Tank Top Master leaned forward in his seat. "Look, they're about to start!"

"So, what are the rules of this fight?"

"Simple! We get a feel for how much the other can take, and go from there! Can't go all out and end up hurting someone, can we?"

"Yeah, that makes sense. So, do we start now, or..."

"Sure, lets go!"

Darkshine bolted towards Saitama at speeds that belied his size, even among S-class standards. He pulled back a fist and rammed it into Saitama's gut.

to the surprise of everyone except Calamitas and Genos, Saitama didn't even move.

"Whoah! The newbie's not even phased!"

"Maybe he'll be a worthwhile ally after all!"

Saitama looked up at Darkshine with bored eyes. "What, is that it? Stop holding back man."

Darkshine, for his part, did a decent job at hiding his surprise. "Not bad, Saitama! You're durability is impressive! I'll have to up the ante a little bit!"

The muscular hero Started pummeling Saitama with mid powered attacks. Saitama threw a counter that struck home and sent Darkshine skidding a few feet.

"Hah! Durable and strong! I dare say you're giving me a run for my money in both departments! Do I have your permission to go all out?"

"Sure man, whatever you want."

Darkshine made a great leap, jumping at least 30 feet into the air and rocketing back down, leg outstretched.

"Superalloy Missile!"

Saitama jumped out of the way just before the attack connected, the reinforced floor buckling slightly under the pressure.

Darkshine swirled around and launched his fist forward.

"Superalloy Bazooka!"

Saitama yet again avoided the super high powered attack, grabbing Darkshine's arm and tossing him forward. The burly hero flipped forward a couple of time before righting himself.

"HAHAHA! You're certainty full of surprises Saitama! But I'm going to end this bout here and now!"

Darkshine's muscles started bulging bigger, and he got into a stance.

"Whaoh! I know the new guy's impressive, but does Darkshine really think that he can handle an attack like that?"

"This'll be interesting to see."

Darkshine gave a deep breath, before bolting forward at full speed.

"Superalloy Tackle!"

Darkshine rammed into Saitama at full speed, slamming his body against his own and kept going until he hit a wall, leaving a huge indentation in it.

As the hero backed away he suddenly stared sweating.

"Crap! I got carried away! I hope the new guy's still alright!"

"Man that was a cool attack! Maybe I should try a tackle or something sometime."

Saitama was walking out from the dent in the wall, completely unphased.

Darkshine stared at the bald hero in shock.

Wh-what the hell?! that was one of my strongest attacks! How is he completely unphased? Did he dodge last second or something?

Before Darkshine could continue thinking, Saitama rammed his fist into his gut. Darkshine choked on the air leaving his lungs as he was sent hurling back at insane speeds, bounding off the ground before crashing into the opposite wall and making a giant crater.

The S-class were silent for a moment before they erupted in a cacophony of noise.

"Did he just beat Darkshine?!"

"That was insane! Way to go newbie!"

"Heh, maybe he'd be up for another spar?"

Calamitas and Genos were silent, but they had knowing smirks on their faces. that was only a taste of Saitama's true power.

King meanwhile, was secretly scared shitless.

What the hell?! that guy's crazy strong! Oh god, what if he wants to spar with me next?!

Darkshine Picked himself out of the crater. His chest was throbbing. Was this what pain felt like?

I-I was beaten. Were my muscles not toned enough? Was that his full power, or was he holding back?

Darkshine didn't want to think about that second option. He was demoralized enough already.

"Hey."

A gloved hand reached out to give him a hand.

"Nice fight man. You're strong."

"S-Saitama. How much power did you put behind that punch?"

"Uh, I don't know. It wasn't any different than most of my other ones. Kinda surprised you're still conscious actually. That one was a little stronger than I meant it to be. Sorry about that."

"S-so you weren't even at full power... I never stood a chance."

"Well, yeah, but I'm probably not the best person to compare yourself to."

"What do you mean?"

"Well, in short, I'm too strong. I haven't met anyone that can make me go all out in a long time. It's kind of boring honestly."

"Too... strong? What do you mean?"

"I want a challenge. I want to feel the rush of adrenaline when I don't know if I'll win a fight. I'm hoping that becoming a hero I'll find someone who can make me feel that again."

Darkshine gave Saitama a blank look.

"So you're just an adrenaline junkie."

"H-hey! It's not like that! I just want a good fight! Is that so much to ask for?"

Saitama turned around and walked back to the viewing room, still grumbling to himself.

Too strong huh? Well I'll be sure to up my training. Hopefully I'll be able to give you that challenge one day.

As Darkshine and Saitama walked back into the room, they were swamped by their fellow heroes.

"That was awesome!"

"Have you ever considered taking up the blade, Saitama?"

"Would you be interested in joining my dojo?"

"That was sick as hell! I want a go!"

"Hey hey hey! One at a time! You're giving me a headache!"

"Hey baldy!"

Saitama slowly craned his head over to see Tornado glaring at him.

"You might think you're hot stuff just because you scored a win, but you're still a weakling to me! Got it?"

"Oi brat! I said pipe down!"

Tatsumaki Went red in the face, before starting to spew insults at the caped hero. Saitama went to the couch, covered his ears and hung his head, trying to hide his anger while Metal Bat laughed his ass off in the background.

"Cue ball! Mirror head! Shiny-"

"I said shut up! If you say another word, I'm Punching you."

Tatsumaki gave a small gasp. While normally she would've told the baldy off for talking back to her, he was radiating a terrifying aura that she couldn't explain.

"...Hmmph!"

The Psychic instead opted to turn her nose up at him and float away.

Calamitas and Genos were discussing things with each other.

"I'll go after you. There's someone I want to fight myself."

"Very well. Does anyone wish to take me on?"

Metal Bat recovered from his laughing fit and gave a smirk.

"Sure. I've been itching for a spar since the last one ended. 'Sides, I'm curious to see how your robot gizmos work in battle."

Genos gave a nod. "Very well. Let us proceed to the battlefield then."

Metal Bat gave Genos a look. "Dude, you really need to learn how to speak casually. No need to take everything so seriously."

"I have been told as such before. I am attempt- trying to work on it."

"Well good for you."

The two heroes spread out in the arena.

"Rules are pretty simple. Anything goes, just nothing lethal!"

"Understood. Let me know if you are unable to continue."

"Heh, I was talking more to myself there. Use whatever you want. I'll take you at full power."

"Are you certain? My incineration cannons are quite deadly."

"As the old saying goes, no pain no gain! I can take it no problem!"

"...Very well then."

Genos began to heat up his cannons, and Badd gripped his bat tightly.

"Let us begin."

Genos and Metal Bat shot towards each other, both preparing an attack. Genos threw out an incineration blast, but Badd dispersed it with a couple swings of his bat. He swung at Genos, but the cyborg easily dodged.

"Machine gun blows!"

Genos threw out one of his signature combos, but Metal Bat simply jumped over it.

"Think I'm dumb enough to stay in the line of fire?"

"Not at all, I was simply baiting you into the air where you cannot maneuver. Incinerate."

Genos shot a beam of fire out of his arm, engulfing Badd completely. As Genos was about to lower the attack, a bat struck him across the face, cracking it slightly. The cyborg went skidding for a couple of yards before regaining his footing.

"Heh, nice strategy, but it'll take more than a little heat to keep me down."

Badd was slightly singed, and there were a couple of holes burned into his clothes, but otherwise he was fine.

"Then I will simply up my firepower."

"Heh, now we're talking."

Genos' arms started to give off a blinding glow, before he thrust them forward, releasing a giant beam of pure heat. Metal Bat was too slow to dodge, and was caught in the blast.

When the dust from the explosion died down, Badd was still standing, although his shirt and jacket had completely burnt away and his pants were in tatters.

"Man that stings... You weren't kidding about that firepower of yours! Man, I'm feeling totally stoked!"

Badd dashed towards Genos with speed he didn't previously posses.

"What? He's... faster?!"

Metal Bat swung towards Genos' midsection, but the cyborg blocked with an arm. The arm however, was caved in from the blow and sent Genos flying for a couple of yards.

"Stronger too! What's going on?"

"Heh, I'm just gettin into the swing of things, that's what. How's your arm by the way? That can be fixed right?"

"Yes. My parts are easily replacable."

"Cool. Means I don't need to worry about messing you up too bad."

Genos was deep in thought. His power and speed have significantly increased for some reason. If I cannot keep up, then I may lose this spar.

The cyborg thrust his hands down to the ground, before levitating slightly and blurring out of focus.

"Wha-Urk!"

Metal Bat was stuck in the side of the head at full force from one of Genos' punches. The cyborg gave Badd no time to recover, bounding after him and barraging him with punches before kicking him high in the air. Genos thrust both his palms forward, firing out a full powered incinerate that engulfed his fellow hero fully.

Genos relaxed his posture as Metal Bat hit the ground.

"To think I had to go all out in a simple spar... S-class heroes are certainty powerful."

Genos focused on powering down his incineration cannons, before he was promptly smacked into the floor at high speeds, cracking it.

Badd lifted his smoking bat, flinching a little.

"Ow, looks like I got a bit carried away. You alright dude?"

Genos mumbled something about letting his guard down.

Badd and Genos walked back into the viewing room, and Metal Bat was immediately handed a change of clothes. As he went to go change, Genos walked back to Calamitas.

"I apologize master! I let my guard down again and paid the price!"

Calamitas chuckled a little. "Genos, it's fine. Just make sure to work on your focus. To be honest, he caught me off guard as well. I was pretty sure he was unconscious."

"Truly?"

"Yes. It was interesting how he kept gaining speed and power as the fight progressed however."

"Oh, you mean Metal Bat's Fighting Spirit?"

Child Emperor came up to them, typing on a laptop.

"His what?"

"He calls his ability Fighting Spirit. The more a fight drags on, the more powerful he gets. I tried running some tests to figure out what made such an ability work, but I came up with nothing! It's almost as if he gets stronger through sheer willpower, as crazy as that sounds."

"Quite odd indeed."

"Anyway, you're up last. Who do you want to fight?"

"I'm glad you asked. I've been wanting to take that green haired toddler down a peg ever since I met her, and now seems like the perfect opportunity."

The entire room went silent and looked to Tatsumaki, who was giving Calamitas a confident smirk.

"Hah! Fine with me! I love showing weaklings how much stronger I am!"

Calamitas rolled her eyes, before descending to the battlefield.

The battlefield had been warped to look like a sprawling city area, and Calamitas and Tatsumaki faced each other down in the center.

"Last chance to back out newbie, I don't want to kill you too badly."

"I can't wait to beat some humility into you."

Tornado scowled, before enveloping Calamitas in a psychic grip and slamming her through multiple buildings. Before she could go too far, the witch spread her arms to the side, breaking out of the psychic hold.

"Humph! Take this!"

Tatsumaki lifted multiple buildings from the ground and threw them at Calamitas. The witch simply held her and out and incinerated the structures into ash.

"Quit playing around. Unless this is all you have to offer?"

"Don't mock me weakling!"

Tornado slammed Calamitas from wall to wall at Mach speeds, and then started ripping the walls apart and throwing fragments at her. Due to the destruction of the arena, the illusion of the city faltered before disappearing. After she was done pelting her opponent with metal shards, Tatsumaki focused her power onto Calamitas, increasing her gravity.

"Let's see how you handle being 700 times heavier than normal!"

Calamitas rolled her shoulders, and continued running like it was nothing.

"Wh-what the?!"

"Only 700 times? Draedon's gravity chambers go at least 100 times higher than this. In fact-"

Calamitas started levitating off of the ground, before rising to Tornado's height, much to her shock.

"-Yep, I can fly with no effort as well."

"Grr... TAKE THIS YOU BITCH!"

Tatsumaki Gripped Calamitas' body and twisted with her psychic powers. The air around her started to whip up and condense, forming a tornado, but Calamitas remained unphased.

"Are you quite done? I think that we've established that you can stop holding back."

"...Fine."

The room began to shake, and the lights flickered. rubble in the arena began to rise as the aura around Tatsumaki began to glow brighter.

"I can't believe you're actually going to have to make me try."

If she keeps increasing her power, she might end up destroying the entire building. I should probably end this before it goes much farther.

Calamitas rushed forward, surprising Tatsumaki. The witch lit her fist aflame with brimstone fire, aiming to hit the esper. Tatsumaki put up a barrier to protect herself, but Calamitas' fist rammed through it like paper. The impact of the blow sent Tornado hurling towards the floor.

As Tatsumaki struggled to get up, Bleeding from the mouth and with a scorched midsection, her opponent floated down to her.

"You're power is more than I expected. I'll look forward to a rematch where you can go all out. for now, try and learn to have some humility."

Without another word, Calamitas walked back to the viewing chambers, leaving the psychic to her thoughts.

She was on the defensive almost the whole time. I might have been holding back, but when she went to attack, I couldn't do a thing. Is she... stronger than me?

Tatsumaki quickly banished the thought. That was ridiculous! Barring Blast, no one outperformed her! She was S-class rank 2! But still, she had to admit, she had underestimated Calamitas. She was certainty powerful.

...I'll kick her ass next time for sure!

God watched over his domain with disappointment. His quest to eradicate humanity had been going poorly. Ever since the Hero Association had shown up, the monsters had been causing less destruction. There was also the problem of monsters not acting as intended. While some had done what they were meant to and caused chaos and destruction, there were others that could suppress their violent urges. He had tried to take their powers away from them after he discovered this, but to no avail.

However, something interesting and promising had come up as of late. A lone soul had crossed over from another dimension into theirs. Whoever had sent them there had unknowingly created a link between the two realities. It was a very small one, and any lesser being wouldn't even be able to notice it.

But God was no lesser being. He had peered into this link, and what he found was promising indeed. Souls of beings of great power and destruction. God had contemplated reincarnating these beings into his reality to assist in his war against the vile humans, but something held him back. He did not know the current state of mind of these souls. While it was true that they were agents of destruction in life, some may have changed their outlook after spending so much time in the afterlife.

In the end though, God decided that it was too good an opportunity to pass up. There was no reason to ignore such a boon of power because of hypotheticals. He focused, pulling the souls from their dimension and into his, and then casting them down to earth. What they would do when they awoke, he did not know, but he hoped it would be to his advantage.
