Knight Of Hearts

I have been dreaming lately, of an island, and a girl who stands on the beach and smiles at me. She tries to say something, but her words are lost to me; I can only hear static, as though it were the wind.
I have been dreaming lately of a far off place, towers and lifts, a great library; an empty chair by a window, and a music box on a table. The music box plays, but I can hear no sound, only static. I want to remember you…
I have been dreaming lately of a promise I made, distant, and so long ago. That promise has traveled to me on a shooting star, and it whispers to me in this never-ending darkness. I want to see the light again. I want to remember my promise to you.
I have seen others nearby, though I don't know weather they may just be parts of this never-ending dream. I have been dreaming for so long; I am tired of dreaming. I know there was something important that I had to do, and than I could keep my promise to you…
Slowly, I open my eyes. Familiar faces stare at me worriedly; a duck, and a large dog.
"Donald-- Goofy?" I ask. They break into large grins.
"Yep Sora," says Goofy, "it's us! How long have we been sleeping?"
"Don't know," Donald replies, looking around, "but we shouldn't sleep any longer. We have work to do!"
"Keybearer?" A voice breaks in. We look up to see a tall man with long silver hair standing before us. He looks so familiar…
"Keybearer?" I ask, and that too sounds familiar.
"Sora?" The man asks a bit impatiently, and I nod. The man with the silver hair turns to Donald and Goofy, "and I suppose you two are the keybearers companions?"
"Well if you mean Sora here," replies Goofy, "than yeah, we're his best pals!"
"What do you remember about the past year Keybearer?" The man with silver hair asks.
"That's how long I've been sleeping!" I know the shock must register on my face, because the man sighs in disappointment.
"I suppose that answers my question," he replies, "come with me, and we will try to help you remember yourself, and your mission."
To be quite honest, my dreams are all the memories I have. I don't even really know who 'Sora' is. 'Sora' is just a name; 'Sora' is just the name of a friend of 'Donald' and 'Goofy'. I know nothing about this 'keybearer', and I do not know how I came to be sleeping for a year like this. Something in my heart tells me the man may mean more harm than good… but what choice do I have in the end?
He leads us along a passage, dark doorways line the walls, and little black creatures with antennas scurry about, occasionally jumping at us. I feel like I might now them too, but I don't have time to think about it because he pushes open a large door and we step out onto a balcony. Below is a courtyard, filled with thousands upon thousands of strange white creatures. I do not get a familiar feeling from the white creatures…
The man with the silver hair turns around; a nasty grin is plastered on his face.
"You are Sora, the keyblade master. Your mission was to shut the doors of darkness in different worlds. You searched for a King," he points at Donald and Goofy, "their king. When at last you came to the final door, the door the heart of all words, you had help closing it. You have a new mission now. You will find the Princess of Hollow Bastion, and bring her here."
"Why should I believe you?" I snap, a strong feeling in my heart tells me that this man is evil, "who are you!"
"If you won't obey me, than I have no use for you!" He raises his hand and more of those black things with Antennas leap over the balcony walls and attack us! I feel myself being sucked into darkness, and my last thought is that I had failed her… I failed Kairi.
