Summary: Sakai and Azuma share a moment together, uninterrupted. One-shot.
It was a windy night, and cold. The two men faced one another evenly across the table in the badly furnished flat. The window was pushed open. An unopened pack of cigarettes lay tossed across the table.
Campaigning Minister Ishi Bashi picked it up. He ripped apart the cellophane, and shook out one. He lit it and took a drag.
"Been a long time, Sakai," drawled his ragged companion. "Good of you to drop by."
"I was in the neighbourhood. Talked to Paul," he added, with an afterthought. "You seem to be the only one living in the past."
Azuma grimaced.
"Little early for firing insults, wouldn't you say? Why, you just walked in." He was polishing something with a dishcloth. It was hidden, but it gleamed.
"What's that?" asked Sakai uneasily.
"I'll show you." And Azuma fired the Sig Sauer at point blank range.
