"The Teen Titans are a team of heroes," Starfire finally explained, seemingly concerned by his lack of awareness of them, "We work with the Justice League..."

"The nurse lady said something about that," Naruto retorted, turning away from Raven, "The... Justice League. They saved me from a...meta-something trafficking ring?"

"Meta-human," She nodded, "There was a bit more to it than that, but yes, the Justice League did save you and many others from the Slate Trafficking Ring."

Naruto might've died if he hadn't pulled on Kuramas chakra at the last minute there, so he wasn't entirely sure if these people had really saved him, so much as arrived to catch him from his fall, "The others that were there... Did the Justice League manage to save them all?"

"You're the one," Raven said, drawing all their attention, "You used your powers while you had a collar on you, and destroyed a large part of the building the auction was being held at."

"Raven -"

"Did anyone innocent get hurt?" Naruto pushed, interrupting Starfire and regarding them all as he felt the guilt begin to wrack at his heart, half-expecting the answer that was given after a moment of silence:

"Many meta-human captives had been killed by the auctioneers," Starfire answered, a tinge of sadness coming into her voice, "Others died from falling debris, and more from various injuries related to what we think are your abilities."

It was hard not to accept the guilt then. An honest mistake, Kurama had called it, yet it should not have been - he was a shinobi. He had been involved in battles that would have cost him his life if he had lost, had even fought legends like Madara Uchiha. Keeping his head was part of his training as a ninja, and though he knew he had never been the most studied one and was prone to be controlled by his emotions more than mental training, it had never cost him as much as it did now.

"You would have lost much more if you weren't who you are."

"I'm sorry."

"Do not be sorry," He heard Starfire take a step towards him as she spoke to him gently, "People make mistakes, especially young meta-humans who are only just coming into their powers. Honour the dead by learning how to control them, and thereafter only using them to aid others, as you have done today."

"You don't understand."

"We do," Blue Beetle spoke for the first time, and looked to be about to continue before Naruto stopped him.

"No, you don't," He sighed, trying to push it all to the back of his mind, and focus on the here and now - which was establishing if he could trust these people if they were truly heroes. He appreciated their attempts to pull him away from his thoughts, and their trying alone worked well enough to convince him of their good intentions "The people that came after me today wanted to take me captive. I don't think they wanted anyone else. I helped no one today but myself."

That did draw them short and seemed to shift their focus from consoling him to understanding the situation, and again, Starfire was the one to speak, "What is their interest in you?"

"I don't know. I'm not from here," Naruto muttered, doing his best to gauge their reaction when he followed up with, "I'm from another universe."

"Another...Universe?" Starfires voice was one of genuine confusion.

"Yeah... Where I'm from, we have different people and different technologies," He thought of how to further elaborate, "Where I'm from, we don't have meta-people, or the...Justice League and... Teen Titans?"

"He's saying he's from another plane of existence," Raven eyed him with a measure of distrust, "One that isn't our own. He's basically saying Multiverse Theory is true."

"I don't know what that it is," Naruto shrugged, frowning, "I don't even know how I got here."

"Is that why they are after you?" Starfire asked, her voice far from disbelieving, "Because you are not from this universe?"

"Maybe," Naruto didn't know why they were after him. Even if he was from another universe, what did that mean for the people that wanted him? He half-believed that they wanted him for what he had done to the people that had tried to sell him, and the others there... Though why would they have wanted to take him alive rather than just kill him to achieve their revenge?

"Will you let us help you?" Starfire offered him a small smile, and Naruto would have normally returned it, but he found it difficult to even force one."I promise you, we mean you no ill. If what you are telling us is true, your experiences in our home have not been very welcoming, and I am sorry for that. But we can make sure you are taken care of until you can return home."

Naruto was hard-pressed to deny her offer. He didn't know where he was, how this place or its technologies functioned. Getting around without any help would be difficult, and finding Sasuke thereafter all the worse. He did need help and denying it wouldn't help him at all. Beyond that, he sensed no bad intentions or ill feelings from them except the distrust he felt from Raven, and to a smaller measure, Blue Beetle that had to do with his supposed origins.

Yet, it didn't sit right with him that they were not angry at him for what he had done. He deserved some sort of scolding, some form of punishment. Not Kindness.

"They take mistakes for what they are, brat."

Naruto sighed, ignoring the nine-tailed fox, "Thank you."

"Thank you. For trusting us," Starfire said, before glancing at Raven and turning to him once more, "I have a favour to ask of you."

He looked at her, unsure "What is it?"

"Allow Raven to look into your memories."

Naruto understood.

Beyond what he was sure was a poor explanation from him, they also had to be sure if they could trust him. Doubtless, they had been through their own trials and struggles, endured and went through their own sets of betrayals. He was not the only one with a reason to be distrusting, thereby going against his own inclination to be trusting. Accepting Starfires' request was not hard.

Still, he worried.

He had never had his past looked at visually before, even though he was open with everyone enough to talk about it. Would they see it all, his growing up, his struggles as a child, the suffering he had endured then and the suffering he had experienced leading up to his final battle with Sasuke? Would she stop herself at what was important, so they just understood that he was being truthful and that he really was from another universe?

He hadn't known then, and so he had asked to see her memories as well - if that was possible.

Though clearly as unwanting as he with having a stranger see through her past, she had accepted.

Raven had then teleported them to what they called the Titans Tower, a building Blue Beetle explained to be in the shape of a 'T'.

They were in a large, empty room that they said was the training room, before Blue Beetle went away, at Starfires insistence, to get him some clothes.

Blue Beetle returned with a hoodie and sweatpants, and they gave him the room for a minute so he could change.

When they came back in at his call, they came in with two other boys. One had dark hair and wore a red and black suit that had a yellow 'R' on his left breast. Over his shoulders hung a cape and over his eyes a mask.

The other was an entirely green boy, with pointed ears, and yellowish eyes and he was in a two-piece red and black spandex suit.

"Yo, it's you!" Suddenly, the green boy was next to Naruto, one arm over his shoulder and the other holding up the strange-looking device in the air. Oddly enough, on its screen, Naruto saw both of their faces, "C'mon, smile. This going on Tweeter."

"Beast Boy," Starfire said in rebuke.

There was a flash from the front of the device, and what looked to be their picture froze on the screen for a second before disappearing.

A camera, Naruto realized.

"What?" Beast Boy asked, moving away from Naruto, "He's trending on Tweeter already, just imagine how many likes we'll get together."

"Do not upload that," Starfire shook her head.

"Trending?" Blue Beetle turned to Beast Boy, "Why is he trending?"

"There's a video of him sending Devastation flying with a single hit, and the rest of Onslaught running," Beast Boy pressed on the device a few times, "Here's one of 'em."

Then, in the middle of the air, a video began playing.

Naruto saw himself, walking out of the smoke and fire, the robe he had on burning as he stood before the people that had attacked him, only moving to stop the burning when they had regarded him. The words they spoke to each other were entirely inaudible, and his use of Kurama's chakra and subsequent punch of the tattooed woman who he now realized to be Devastation wasn't even visible in the video. Only after could he see himself, standing at the edge of the crater, looking down at Onslaught, before they fell into their portals.

"Dude," Blue Beetle whistled, looking to Naruto, "You're crazy strong."

"Superboy and Wonder Girl struggled with Devastation," Starfire nodded, "It's quite impressive that you dealt with her so handily."

"Uh... Thanks?"

"Can we do this?" Asked the dark-haired boy, eyes narrowed.

"Better we do it sitting down," Raven sat down and beckoned him to sit in front of her - and he did so quietly, facing her and waiting patiently, unsure of how this was meant to feel.

"What would you like me to avoid?" He heard her voice in his mind, much like he would have Kuramas, but he could feel that hers was a foreign voice.

Look at whatever you want to look at, Naruto thought back, appreciating that she had taken a moment to ask, Only if you'll let me do the same with you. And... I don't know if you'll have to deal with... my friend.

"I'll let her pass."

Naruto saw her eyes narrow after a small jump outside of his mind, and allowed himself a small smile, whilst Kuramas laughed, the sound receding as he fell back into the landscape.

"He's the one you've been talking to this entire time?" She questioned, her voice a bit annoyed.

His name is Kur - Wait, you've been hearing us this entire time?!

Her lips upturned ever so slightly outside the mindscape, before she thought, "You two project really loudly. Even the worst telepath would have heard you."

It was like a sudden bright light had blinded him, and then he saw all his memories playing out quickly, moving in quick flashes before him. He comprehended all his old memories, all his old struggles and teachers - and he felt it all too. It was as if he was there again, reliving it all:

In an instant, he was on the swing again, watching the other children playing about and walking with their parents, whispering about him or openly ignoring him, and those that did regard him stared with nothing but open contempt. This memory was slow, almost deliberately so, but Naruto stopped himself from getting angry at her. He had told her she could look at whatever she wanted, and she was doing exactly that.

More memories carried on just as suddenly, passing Mizukis' betrayal, his assignment to team 7 and the pain of thinking he had lost Sasuke for the first time against Haku.

At a point, Naruto sighed when again it all slowed during his first true fight with Sasuke at the Valley of the End, just as his Rasengan and Sasukes' Chidori clashed, resulting in a dome of energy, where-in they traded the final blows.

He did his best to keep himself from watching through all the memories of his training with the Pervy Sage. Those were still too fresh in his mind, and would do nothing but cause him pain. They still did, even though he avoided them entirely...

He fought Pain, watched Hinata die, was raging toward Pain and then met his father Minato for the first time. After was fighting Sasuke again just after saving Sakura, then he met and hugged his mother, thereafter he was in the war, battling Obito and Madara, and Kaguya after. Saying goodbye to his father, thinking that was the end of it all...

In a near finality of it all, he saw Sasuke and himself undoing the Infinity Tsukiyomi, falling unconscious after that, and then waking at the back of the transport, with dozens of other collared teens.

As if his own memories were continuing, though none of it all was familiar to him, he watched a woman, somehow knowing her to be Arella be part of some sort of satanic ritual that brought forth a man, Trigon. It when further into their subsequent lovemaking, a part he fought hard to keep from blushing on. It carried on to Arella discovering she was pregnant, learning the truth about Trigon, running away, being saved by being from another dimension and giving birth.

In an eerie echo of his own experiences, he saw Raven eating a meal as a child in the middle of a garden alone, children playing around her as an inflation of sadness and loneliness swelled within Naruto, and it only went fell-off when she joined the Titans, and even then, it was there, lingering.

At the end of it all, when she had withdrawn from his mind, they sat there in the silence of the training room, as if they were still going about the memory search. Naruto felt mildly dizzy as if the fatigue was hitting him hard again and he could see the slight sway of her upper body.

"Rachel Roth," Naruto muttered to her, feeling...something towards her.

That was the easy part, connecting the names of the people he had seen he had seen her interact with. Objects, places and concepts were harder. His eyes rose to her forehead, where the crystal holding her father sat - feeling nothing at all from it now. This Trigon was an actual demon, not in the hypothetical sense like he once considered Kurama to be because of the destruction he had wrought.

The unnatural level of hate he felt from Trigon made more sense. Though strangely, he felt nothing at all from it now.

The prospect of something like that existing made him uneasy.

"Naruto Uzumaki," she returned, her gaze unshifting for a long moment before she floated upwards and straightened her feet, standing, "He really is from another universe. Somewhere entirely different from our own."

Naruto was standing, and all their gazes settled on him as Raven continued to speak.

"And we can trust him."

That won't try to sell us, at least.

"I saw it all Naruto...I've never...said it, but..."

I forgave you a long time ago.

Kurama descended into silence.

Ravens' purple aura enveloped her now, and Naruto presumed she was showing them all his memories, a thought he wasn't sure he was entirely comfortable with. It was one thing to show a single person your past, but to have it displayed to a group of other people, complete strangers which he knew nothing of was a bit off-putting. Raven had shared her origins with him, but they had not.

"We'll need to bring this to the attention of the League," Starfire said, not at all looking to him with pity as he had expected she would. In fact, none of them appeared to be all that sympathetic towards him. The only person who displayed something was Damian Wayne, and it was narrowed eyes pointed toward Raven, "If your friend is here too, he may well be in danger."

"Will you help me find him?" He asked, taking a glance around the room, now knowing each of their names.

"Of course," Starfire smiled at him, "We will do all we can before...We will help."

Naruto was grateful, and he pulled himself from his mellow to force a smile of his own. He had seen the technology of this world in Rachels' memories and understood almost none of it, he knew he would've been lost and confused for months, trying to understand how everything here functioned. The laws, the rules, and what he could and could not do.

"In the meantime, I think you need to decide what you want to do," Her gaze turned expectant, "With the interest they have in you, sending you back to the Youth Center would be dangerous for you and the others there, and letting you go would also put you at risk...We could give you a place here, amongst the Titans, while we try and find your friend, and figure out if we can get you home."

Naruto thought back, to all the people at the back of the truck, to the scared meta-humans he had been taken with, the people he might have killed...

He took a deep breath, "I want to help."

"Yo, new guy!" Beast Boy came to him again, "I think we'll be great friends, I can always tell with these things. The name's Beast Boy, but you can call me Garfield. That's Garfield Logan."

Blue Beetles armour disappeared from his entire bodice as walked to Naruto, offering his hand, "Jaime Reyes."

"You may call me Koriand'r," Starfire said from behind Jaime.

Naruto turned to Robin, who did nothing but look at him for a long, uncomfortable moment. He knew who he was already, but with everyone giving out their names as introductions.

This much he expected. From Ravens' memories, he saw that Robin was particularly cold, distant and condescending, in a manner that reminded him of entirely of Sasuke.

Kurama released a low growl.

"I don't trust you," Damien said plainly.

"Robin," Starfire started, but he was already out of the door.

"I'm sorry, he's always reluctant towards newcomers," Starfire shook her head.

"It's alright," Naruto couldn't help smiling, he must be the Sasuke of this world, "I'm Naruto Uzumaki. Thanks for welcoming me."

"You should settle into a room," Starfire turned to Beast Boy, "Garfield, do you mind showing him -"

"I'll take him," Rachel interrupted, drawing everyone's eyes - something that looked to almost make her recline.

"Alright..." Starfire spoke slowly, off-put, "Raven, then. Show him to a room while I bring the League up to speed. We can speak about other things later."

Raven nodded, walking off towards the exit, Naruto beginning to follow her out in silence.

"See you dude," He heard Garfield say behind him, and he threw him a hesitant thumbs-up as the door closed.

They walked through the corridor, passing rows of closed doors and rooms in complete silence, until they reached what Naruto remembered to be an elevator- after a bit of thinking. When they entered, the silence was becoming a bit too unbearable for him, and he opened his mouth to speak when she did:

"I didn't show them everything," She said, as the elevator doors closed and an odd feeling came from Narutos stomach as it began moving, "I showed them some moments of your childhood, and others from when you were growing, points that would make it clear that you really were from another universe, with concepts different from what we have here."

"Thanks," Naruto muttered, a bit confused, "But, why?"

"Everything else is your business," She spoke simply, "Your experiences have nothing to do with what we wanted to know. Your... suffering, and what you've been through is your story to tell."

That didn't stop you from going through it, Naruto was quick to observe, only remembering after that he supposedly projected his mind loudly and had doubtless heard him.

Yet, she said nothing about it, though Naruto knew she had heard his thought. They travelled in silence then, and despite Narutos' discomfort, he let it settle through their walk to what would be his room:

It was simple, with nothing but a bed and an empty wardrobe. Though it gave the view so an entirely different city to the one he had been to, he was sure. Putting a name to it was difficult.

"San Francisco," He heard Rachel say behind him.

"Are you ever not in my mind?"

"I'm not in your mind. I try to block myself off, but I wouldn't basically hear your thoughts if you stopped projecting so strongly and kept it internal. I didn't see you being a telepath in your memories, so I don't know why I can hear you so clearly, but it might help if you stopped shouting."

I'm not even shouting, he turned to give her a glare, receiving a smirk in return.

"You won't have anything yet, but we all get allowances that we can use for whatever we want. Once they file you in, you should get yours. I suggest you start with clothes," She turned towards the door, making to leave, "The kitchen and TV room are on the 7th and 14th floor, and there's a marked bathroom on every floor. You're the only one on this floor, so the one here is all yours. The training room's at the top of the building, so just put that in if you ever feel like practising."

Naruto let her go, and she seemed to leave, but he heard her voice again when he turned back to the window.

"Also... Try not to let what happened at the Slate Ring get to you. Think of the lives you saved, and not the ones you couldn't."

Naruto didn't know how many people he had saved, and the nagging guilt wasn't something that would let him forget about the people he had killed. Yet, he nodded to her all the same, "Right. Thanks, Rachel."

She shook her head at him, almost as if in disappointment, "Call me Raven."

"Sure Rachel," He turned from back to the city, feeling her linger at the door for a moment before she went away.

It was almost night out, and the lights of the large city were coming alive with the crossing darkness. The buildings were large and much taller than anything he had seen from something not built within the mountains. Taking a breath, he closed his eyes, feeling every living being within the city, feeling the hundreds of thousands of people living in it, more than Konoha, he was sure.

"I know what we're doing until we find Sasuke and a way home," Naruto opened his eyes, raising his remaining hand and clenching it into a fist.

"I feel like I won't like this."

"We're stopping this meta-people trafficking," He exhaled, "All of it. Whatever it takes."

"Meta-human."

"And I'll make sure whoever is responsible for it is brought down. One way or another."

"Don't think too about what happened, Naruto."

"I won't let it get to me. You and her are right," Naruto assured him, raising a smile for effect, "But I sure as heck won't let it go. If we do find a way home... I won't leave until the trafficking's been ended. I owe them that much."

"I hope it's as easy as you make it sound."
