When Lucifer fell from heaven, caged in the Pit under multiple seals, the Host thought that was the end of it. However God still loved his son, despite how far he had fallen from grace. So he decided to give Lucifer a chance to prove he was worthy of being allowed to come home, no questions asked.

Lucifer, for all his faults, still loved his father. So when told he could have one chance to rejoin the family, he agreed without hesitation.

And so God took a good chunk of his son's power and sent it to a world where it could grow without the Host being aware of what was going on. Lucifer would have no contact with this new life outside of dream speak, and even that would be closely monitored.

So Lucifer watched with open interest as his grace took life of it's own.

And he wept.

The human child who was the embodiment of his grace was manipulated from the very start, and would be unaware of her true potential, hindered from growing into her full power at every turn possible.

He had to do something. So Lucifer spoke to his father before they were born and made a single suggestion.

And so one child became two.

Grace and Faith Morningstar (they had legally changed their names long before their names were called on the list at Hogwarts) were bored. Now that Voldemort was gone and they had finished their schooling, it seemed like no one knew what to do with them.

Helping with the other set of 'terror twins' was fun, but it got boring really fast. Becoming healers was great, but few were equipped to deal with a double team of the girls. They had been politely asked to leave.

So yes, they were extremely bored.

Do my ears deceive me? My little girls are bored?

We are bored, said Grace.

Terribly bored, father, said Faith.

I might have something for you to do. But it would involve leaving your brothers behind until we can get permission to bring them to you.

We're all ears father, said Grace eagerly.

There is a hunter on my Earth who is being targeted by demons quite frequently. Your job is to insure he does not go anywhere near the one called Ruby, because despite how my creations think I do not want to have another fight with my brother.

We do not like your creations father, said Grace.

They are quite rude, not to mention they are annoying, said Faith.

Their father coughed. It was better not to talk about why he made them.

So are you interested?

If we like the hunter, can we keep him? Faith asked bluntly.

He sighed.

I will have to test him first to see if he's worthy, but if you like him enough you can keep him, he said finally.

Yay~!

Grace and Faith never had a boyfriend. Never. It was partly because of the Weasly twins, but mostly because any guy who showed interest eventually got tired of being upstaged by the girl's tag-teaming them.

Every guy might dream of twin girlfriends who didn't mind sharing, but they quickly found the reality was much, much worse. Grace and Faith always sided with each other, often cutting their possible boyfriends out. It drove people nuts!

So the chance that the girls might accept the hunter as their first boyfriend...well it made Lucifer rather nervous. Fortunately he wouldn't have to deal with it just yet.

Sam was broken. Dean was gone and it was all because of him. He didn't know how he was going to live without his brother there to annoy him.

So when a pair of twin girls immediately hone in on him at a bar, he clearly radiated his disinterest.

However the two followed him anyway when he left, making him very paranoid.

"We know who you are," said the twin in white.

"Sam Winchester, Dean's brother," said the black twin.

"We also know what happened to Dean."

"Who are you?"

"I am Faith," said the black-shirt wearing twin.

"I am Grace."

"And we were asked to keep you from a certain manipulative demon by the name of Ruby by our father."

"We also know why you feel as though your very insides are twisting around in agony because Dean is gone," finished Grace.

That caught his attention.

"How do you know that? Not even Bobby knows about that, let alone Ruby," said Sam warily.

"We know because we have a similar bond. Someone has been manipulating your destiny and did something that is forbidden," said Faith.

Sam knew he couldn't go on like this. He needed Dean back, even if it meant his soul.

"Can you help me get Dean back?" he asked.

"No. But we can make the pain a little more bearable," said Grace.

"Without involving demons," added Faith.

"You're not demons?"

"Test us if you want," said Grace.

"But we can walk out of any devil's trap and holy water has no effect on us. Or silver. And we tend to put extra salt on our foods," said Faith.

Sam weighed his options. On one hand, he could continue on as he had and possibly end up with Ruby. On the other, these two were only offering to make it bearable and they might know why he felt like he couldn't live without his brother, which even he knew was not normal.

"Fine. But if you're trying to use me for later I will come after you two," said Sam.

"Fair enough," said Faith.

Sam was a bit uncomfortable being made into a living teddy bear for the next week, but once he got used to having them beside him every night, he realized that the pain of losing his brother wasn't nearly as bad as it had been. It wasn't gone by any means, but it was a bit more bearable.

After the tenth time waking up and realizing he had a sound night's sleep, which was really rare for hunters like him, he decided maybe teaming up with the strange twins wasn't as bad as he had assumed. They were more for moral support and general healing...but they also knew how to hold their own. They weren't trying to replace Dean like he initially feared.

After the second month, he finally asked them why the pain was slowly going away after their appearance.

"You have a twin bond," said Grace.

"One that was forcibly severed while you were in the womb," said Faith.

"And from the state of it, it appears whoever did it delayed your birth by a year, possibly more," said Grace.

"There's also recent damage, suggesting that you lost your twin but didn't realize it."

"Dean is my twin?"

"We can only assume someone is trying to manipulate your destiny. Twins are not meant to be severed inside the womb. Whoever did this is going to face our wrath," they said in unison.

Grace and Faith were twins, but not in the normal sense. Originally, they were one soul in a single body...but Lucifer didn't want them to grow up alone like God had said they would. So God gently split them into twin-souls, much like Fred and George were. They were one soul in two bodies and shared a rare bond.

Sam had that sort of bond, but they could sense someone had meddled in too late to keep it from forming properly and it had hurt his soul in the process. It made him very susceptible to demon manipulation, because while his mind was sound his soul wasn't.

And if they were right, Dean had similar damage, only it was less intense because he had been born when he should be.

Which was why they had gravitated to Sam so fast. They weren't about to let a fellow twin suffer. Fred and George, the twins they had claimed as brothers, had been able to join in their bond as true family and could sense when they needed help. They hoped to bring Sam into their bond the same way, to mend the damage done.

Bobby looked up when he heard the sound of the Impala. It had been nearly three months since Sam went off the grid and he had gotten worried. The boy was like a son to him, despite the fact he was an idjit sometimes.

What he found outside caught him off guard though.

Sam had brought back a pair of twin girls... girls who were clearly involved with him in some way from how relaxed he was around them.

Bobby walked up to him, clearly confused. How did he land twin girls as partners?

"Bobby," said Sam.

"Sam. Who are they?" asked Bobby. He was rather suspicious at how calm Sam was being.

"I am Grace," said the one on Sam's right.

"I am Faith," said the left one.

"And we're his girlfriends," they said in rather creepy unison.

Bobby raised an eyebrow at Sam's blush.

"I wonder how Dean would react to this. Twins, Sam, really?"

"They found me, and they're not demons. I checked them repeatedly."

"Still going after Lilith?" asked Bobby.

"No. And if I see Ruby again I'm shooting her or better yet, knifing her," said Sam flatly.

The twins had gone over Ruby's actions, and even asked their father about her. What they found made them angry.

Ruby was in league with Lilith, and worse than that she was trying to corrupt their new boyfriend. No way was she getting away with that and living.

Bobby immediately turned to the twins.

"How in the hell did you get it through his thick head that demons can't be trusted, no matter how helpful they are?" he asked openly impressed.

Faith and Grace grinned at him. They liked this hunter.

"It helps when you know on sight why he's so codependent to his brother," said Grace.

Bobby's eyebrows shot up. How did they know about that weird quirk?

"Someone has been meddling with the bloodlines, and worse yet they didn't even know what they were doing. If they did they would have known not to forcibly break a twin-soul bond like Sam has and then let it stay broken for four years," said Faith.

"Twin-soul bond? Are you two psychics?"

"In a manner of speaking. We know a twin-bond when we see one," said Grace.

Bobby could live with Sam dating natural psychics. He knew a few and they were good people.

"And someone broke his in the womb at a late stage. With how strongly Sam feels the need to retrieve his brother, we suspect Dean is the other half," said Faith.

Thunder crashed over head. It would start pouring soon.

Bobby discreetly put the twins to a little test, and they didn't even blink when handed holy water in a silver cup. As far as he was concerned, they were welcome to stay. He didn't know how they got Sam away from his suicidal tendencies, but he was glad they did.

Bobby came down the next morning, blinked, and did a double take at his house.

It looked like a tornado hit it. A cleaning tornado that is.

"What the hell?"

"Morning Bobby," said Sam. The coffee was already brewing and there was breakfast made. The twins were only half-awake.

"Sam, what happened here?"

"I might have forgotten to mention that the two are a little...OCD about their environment..." he said sheepishly.

"We cleaned it," said Grace with a yawn. She was clutching her cup like it was a lifeline.

"Mold is not meant to grow on plates in a sink," said Faith.

"We left the library alone," said Grace.

"But only because we didn't know how you cataloged your collection," finished Faith.

"I made the coffee. They can't stand the taste of it for some reason," said Sam with a laugh.

"Be glad we cooked," they said in unison.

Bobby sampled the scrambled eggs. He noticed that they had added extra salt. It helped to ease his paranoia a little.

"This is good," said Bobby.

"Of course it is," said Grace.

"We've known how to cook for years," said Faith.

"But we still don't understand how you Yanks can stand to drink that bitter black piss you call coffee," they said.

Sam chuckled. He was used to them by now and knew neither twin was much of a morning person.
